- Amy (1/5): INCREDIBLY UNSAFE - AVOID AT ALL COSTS! - PET OWNERS BEWARE!
Despite the property being marketed as dog friendly, the owners had left rat poison in the garden and failed to inform me that it was there.
My dog ingested some of this poison shortly after we arrived and suffered several seizures, requiring emergency treatment at a 24-hour veterinary hospital which cost hundreds of pounds. I had travelled to stay at the property in order to compete at Crufts, but instead my dog nearly died due to the owners’ negligence.
The experience was extremely traumatic and my dog may now have permanent neurological issues as a result. I am absolutely devastated.
The owners were present when my dog began having seizures and acknowledged that rat poison had been placed in the garden. However, they have since refused to cover the veterinary costs caused by this incident.
This was an incredibly distressing experience and I will now be taking the matter further.
PLEASE DO NOT STAY AT THIS PROPERTY IF YOU HAVE PETS, IT SIMPLY ISN'T WORTH THE RISK.
- Judith (9/5): Short stay . Would have liked it to be longer . - Clean , well furnished .
Outside space . Would have liked a stairs handrail , but a minor point .
If you have dogs remember not to open door without leads on as sheep quite close to back fence .
- Vicki (10/5): - Photos don’t do the cottage justice. Views were amazing, had a lovely weekend:)
- patrick (9/5): Perfect cottage to visit family, great hosts - Nice big space, lovely views out of bedroom and kitchen Parking was a bit of a squeeze but that’s down to me driving a defender 😂
- Tracey (9/5): Cosy getaway - We stayed here to attend a family wedding nearby. The cottage had everything we needed for our stay. It was clean , well equipped and comfy. Our hosts provided tea and coffee and fresh milk, which was a lovely touch. There was also essentials provided, such as spices, oil and cleaning products. The location is peaceful but central. Lovely views from the front and back, with sheep right by the back door

- Claire (10/5): Relaxing environment, lovely and quiet. Great cafe just round the corner would come back to visit that again. - Very clean, warm and comfortable Unfortunately issue with WiFi that the host tried to fix. Seemed to be an issue with the provider which was disappointing.
- Martin (8/5): -
- Julia (8/5): - Spacious, comfortable, well equipped kitchen, tea, coffee and milk on arrival. Car parking was tricky - only really room for a small car with no alternative. Boiler in the bedroom switched on and off through the night.
- Debbie (7/5): Lovely little cottage - warm clean and welcoming - well stocked - Lovely cosy cottage welcoming very clean good value for money
Lovely to walk in to find xmas tree twinkling .-
Kitchen well stocked , clean and user friendly
Lovely hot water whenever I showered or washed up
Lovely views More logs /kindling as were only 3 logs for whole stay - or pre information to suggest I bought some as I spent Boxing Day and next evening no woodburner which was shame as cottage had a lovely fireplace and character for festive time of year
Cups were clean and nice but tea stained which gave wrong impression as cottage and facilities were very clean
No large bath towel which in winter using small towel after showering wasnt most comfortable or warm
Only one set of keys for both front door and back door so had to keep walking through house to undo back door .
Only parking space for small car realistically and walking into village at night with no lights on main road was a bit scary - could a torch be provided and good lighting outside house?

- JOANNA (10/5): We'll hopefully be back! - The location was great, so good to be so rural. The cottage was clean, well equipped and comfortable. We were there for work so unfortunately didn't spend as much time in the cottage as we would have liked!

- Dave Macilsley (10/5): A lovely little welcoming home from home - Lovely little cottage with splendid country views from both front and rear. We had a superb night here, with the pubs and other amenities just a short walk around the corner.
The cottage was spotlessly clean with every appliance and utensil available. Clear instructions are provided for everything from the Sky TV to the heating.
The owners are extremely friendly and are available by phone should there be a problem, which there wasn't at all during our stay.
The property also has it's own parking space.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property to anyone and we're very much looking forward to our next stay. I honestly can't think of any negatives.
- Chris (10/5): Wonderful find, ideal as stop off point or longer stays. - Location ideal, close to motorways.
Parking at property.
Spotlessly clean.
Comfortable, well equipped.
Logburner with fuel (if required)
Dog friendly (but keep on lead in small garden as sheep in adjoining field)

- Dominique (8/5): Lovely cottage, nice location, friendly hosts. - Lovely little cottage in a great location. All rooms were a good size, and the fireplace was beautiful. The hosts were friendly and welcoming and provided everything we needed. Although it was a lovely cottage our stay would have been improved if: there was handrail for the stairs as my husband isn’t good on his legs; and if the garden was fully enclosed with secure fencing, there were couple of gaps. We couldn’t let off our doggies in the back garden as they would have escaped onto the sheep’s field.
- Laura (10/5): Great Stay - thanks - All very simple, great instructions provided by the host.
Clean, well furnished, little cottage.
Kitchen well equipped. Stairs slightly steep, I have a knee issue it was a bit of a worry but it was fine.
- Steve (10/5): -
- Diana (10/5): It was a lovely break and close to visit relatives in Brinklow itself we will most probably be back -
- Walter (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hannah (10/5): Perfect little cottage. Clean, homely, and comfortable - Perfect little cottage. Clean, homely, and comfortable.
- Zo46 (9/5): Peaceful cosy cottage with great views of the countryside - Lovely little cottage with beautiful views.
Enjoyed watching the baby lambs in the field behind the cottage.
Extremely peaceful location and the cottage was spotlessly clean and cosy. Lack of bedside table in the main bedroom.
No chair in 2nd bedroom to enjoy the views out of the window.
Boiler can be noisy at night as it's in the smaller bedroom.
Still a lovely cottage at an excellent price.
- Jacqui (8/5): Quiet location and restful stay. - Great location, clean appreciated milk, tea and coffee provided. Boiler in bedroom disturbed sleeping . No rail on side of stairs.
- Tom (7/5): Good -
- Lee (10/5): Perfect cosy cottage retreat - Perfect little cottage for a small family. Put the little ones to bed and cosy up by the fire. Very comfy and welcoming home.
Great communication with the host. Amenities were great. Very well stocked Kitchen. If we are looking at stopping in the area again then we will definitely be back. It beat our expectations, the photos don't do the place justice.
- Michelle (9/5): A cosy, cottage stay in rural Warwickshire. - It was cosy, with a beautiful fireplace. The cottage is set in quiet rural countryside, yet wonderfully convenient for Warwick, Leamington and Coventry. It was spotlessly clean and thoughtfully equipped. Nothing I can think of.
- Stephen (10/5): Homely Retreat - Attention to detail. Before arrival the owners responded to communications immediately. The house has a homely feel and there was a beautifully decorated Christmas Tree in the lounge. All equipment and utensils were excellent quality and the beds very comfortable. Cannot recommend enough, if I could give 12/10 I would. Definitely recommended. Nothing as everything was perfect
- Chris (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michelle (10/5): Exceptional - More spacious living area and bedrooms than expected.
Facilities in kitchen brilliant and explanations from collecting key, disposing of rubbish and recycling were clear.
- Sarah (9/5): Amazing, lovely and cosy and great price too! - Amazing location, staff really helpful before arriving! Lovely and comfortable, had everything we needed there. Was a lovely stay for the family Maybe a sign to say watch the step going into the kitchen as when we opened the door nearly fell down it
- Suzi (10/5): A lovely quiet romantic stay 🥰 - We absolutely loved our stay at the cottage, it was even better than the pictures, the log fire was just amazing a great stay for any couple looking for a break
- Greg (10/5): was lovely - it’s location and added little touches from the owners nothing
- Susan (9/5): Wonderful place to stay! - Lovely views and very comfortable. The property was equipped with everything we needed
