Guest Reviews
- David (7/5): Very tastefully decorated house, good facilities and a great location, value for money but a few iss - Very nicely decorated and looked after. Nice to have some tea and coffee available. A tasteful property. The garden could do with a makeover - you have done such a good job on the inside of the house! Just needs a bit of work in the garden - and in the longer term a nicer bigger patio area would have been good.
Mattresses weren’t very comfy - much too soft / lumpy.
Next door (upstairs) was a bit noisy- but not much you can do about that I guess!
- rosemary (7/5): Had some lovely walks and Guinness was great - Location
Spacious
Pretty well stocked kitchen Plug in kitchen sink stuck
Scissors would have been handy
Wi-Fi not very good
Had to walk through one bedroom to get to another
Only one toilet roll
Rug in dining room rather hazardous

- Robrert (6/5): - Location The cleaness was poor
- Ann (7/5): Enjoyable stay, friendly locals. - Excellent location, lots within walking distance. Everybody we met was very friendly. Shingle gardens need brightening up to make more interesting to sit in. Perhaps a few colourful ornaments or a few tubs, drought resistant plants. Stained sofas in lounge. Steep stairs an issue for one of us.
- Antonio (10/5): Thanks to the owner for his responsiveness and understanding- highly recommended - Nice location, decor Toilet location but adds to character and fantastic power shower!
- Stephanie (8/5): Very good we would and have recommended this property - Well laid out central and comfortable The stairs were a little steep for my father-in-law and the bathroom is downstairs so it was challenging for a senior.
- David (10/5): Exceptional - Clean, comfortable bed. Has everything you need. Walking distance to the port.
Friendly owner Nothing
- Rowles (7/5): Great weekend getaway - Very nice layout throughout the property.
Nice and warm. Sadly we found a number of issues with the cleanliness of the property, I'm guessing we were the first guests this year as the property would benefit from a spring clean.
The third bedroom was accessed through the master bedroom.
We were pretty sure the oven wasn't fully functioning as we could only get the grill to work.
Sadly the drain was blocked which gave off a bit of a pong.
The top of the radiators needs removing so the build up of dust can be removed.
Skirting boards and architraves would also benefit from a quick wipe over.
This is a constructive criticism note as I am in the cleaning industry so I notice more than the average person.
A good deep clean would see the property glow.
Oh and also found 2 bird carcasses in the back garden and all the bins were full.
But generally cleanliness needs to be upgraded.
- Fiona (9/5): We had a lovely time staying at Harbour Walk, the house was well equipped with extra touches like blankets for chilly ev - It was well equipped, great location and very comfortable. The only issue we had was that we couldn’t get the oven to heat but other than that everything was perfect for our needs.
- Dan (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (9/5): Excellent - The location was perfect. The stairs were very steep!
- Omeleh (6/5): Pleasant -
- Caroline (8/5): Very enjoyable; visiting family for a 40th birthday. Robin very approachable and responded very quickly. - Lovely, cosy, very quiet, nice neighbours; easy access to the town and beaches and dog walks. Friendly town. Nothing
- Charlotte (10/5): We had a lovely time away and we will be back again for sure. - We had a lovely stay at Harbour walk last week. The host was very good at quick communication and answering all questions asked. It was like being home from home. It was so clean and homely. The location was perfect for everything around us. The bed and bedding was so comfy and clean. Everything was clean! We would 100% recommend this to any one.
- Terence (8/5): Accommodation very close to local shops and pubs plus the walks along the seafront with our dog - It's a self catering accommodation with a good arrangement of cooking/eating utensils , as we were visiting friends nearby we ate out most of the time but cooked our breakfast with no problems Needs a bath mat inside the bath/shower ( owner informed and will be supplying one )
- Chris (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely accommodation.
Very quiet.
Very handy for Brightlingsea Sailing Club.
- Catherine (10/5): Lovely comfy house - Clean, comfortable and well appointed. Parking easy and everything within walking distance. Tiny niggle, would've liked a small sharp knife and clothes airer or washing line to put towels out.
- Jessica (8/5): Very good - Great little place, ideal for accessing all that Brightlingsea has to offer.
