• Jangmu (7/5): perfect for two people and for a short stay - It was 10 mins walk from the town, and well organised we booked for three people but the sofa bed was in a bad condition to sleep on and the heater was not working

• Tomas Bartolome (9/5): Great place! - Very nice apartment, the kitchen was quite usable and the bedroom was perfectly dark at night It was a bit difficult to find the entrance to the place. The 'alley' you need to walk down to can be very dark at night and a bit dodgy

• John (3/5): Poor - Good location for my needs away from main roads so quiet in the evening. Comfortable enough. The toilet wasn't connected! The pipe from the cistern didn't reach the bowl so the flush went all over the floor. Upon investigating further the waste flexi pipe was loose and had holes so was filthy back there. There was a lingering smell of either smoke or mould hard to say as there were so many air-fresheners in use.

• Ilya (7/5): Candidates review - The lay out of the accommodation was good. The bed was very comfortable and the bedding very clean. The host will provide a parking permit, though remind them on the day! Lovely little bungalow type property, you can cook a meal, as long as you bring the basics, I.e. salt, pepper, seasonings. The hosts were attentive when I requested towels and were friendly and polite. Expensive for 1 night for what it was. Although everything is available, it was a bit shabby round the edges, a smell of mould and a few moths flying around. Could do with a bit of fixing it up, to make it worth the cost. It would then be worth it. Just 1 teabag, a couple sachets of sugar and a few milk sachets. The blanket on the settee was smelly.

• Matthew (8/5): Perfect for a solo traveller who doesn't need to park - The apartment itself is perfect for a solo traveller, the sofa and such are mini not full size but if you're alone for work or something this won't bother you. Very clean, walking distance to town. Bit of a rough area, parking down a very dodgy alley and had a threatening note left on the windscreen despite having given my license plate to the host.

• Helen (5/5): Passable - The location was close to the centre of Reading centre. There is no parking at this property, this is not clear in the profile. The host was not helpful to start with did suggest parking 5 mins away. When you are disabled that is hard.

• Gwapo (9/5): comfortable modern accomodation in a secluded quiet spot - location was a bit tucked away, but within easy walking distance to the city centre, this added to the secluded quiet nature of the accomodation which is what i wanted, peace and quiet. Shops are just around the corner,and there is a lovely pub a few minutes walk away. everything was perfect for me!

• Karima (9/5): Exceptional studio in a great location. - I like the studio , it is fully furnished, simple and modern decoration. I like the window on the ceiling which brings light and lovely atmosphere in the room. The studio location, close to the train station, city centre and shops is convenient. The bed was comfortable and after a hard day I slept very well!!! Only one negative point: the home fragrance was too strong for me.
