Guest Reviews
- Fernanda (9/5): Respectfull - Is not a rich place but the hosts are able to help me and make everything possible to make my stay comfortable always when I need, very grateful for finding good people in this town. Clean, warm, and with hot water. Everything was okay

- Gregory (1/5): Disgusting - Area Staff rude not nice at all cooker didn't work neither did the heating and it was infested with blue bottle flies I would like to make a serious complaint
- Sebastian Gabriel (10/5): -
- Albutt (7/5): - perfect size and location for overnight business stay.
very clean.
all the facilities I needed for arriving 9pm and leaving 8.30am no contact from vendor about arrival / how to access property until I messaged them on the day.
difficult to locate as access is via rear of property - as it was dark, I went into the back gate of several neighbours properties before locating the correct one. Would have been helpful for vendor to send a few photos of where to park and exact location.
Also, apartment could do with walls repainting and some attention to bathroom fittings (had to hold shower head in my hand as it no longer attached to the rail), OVERALL I FELT SAFE AND POSITIVES OUTWEIGHED THE NEGATIVES!
- Gillian (8/5): Pleasant stay 👍 - Had everything we needed

- Sally (7/5): A great night’s sleep for my daughter and I - Great comfortable bed, best night’s sleep I’ve had in ages. Thank you 😊
The cooker needed a new fuse - the owners dealt with it quickly & were very friendly.
Good value.
- Morrison (7/5): Basic but okay. - Comfortable without being luxurious The shower was broken
- Ben (6/5): Luckily, I only paid £20 due to credit - If had everything you needed. It felt like someone else was living there. It felt like it wasn't finished. Kitchen was dirty. Cupboards hanging off. Not worth £60 a night.
- Kevin (8/5): Stayed due to company christmas meal. Would book again. - Self contained basement apartment, was warm and bed was comfortable. Plenty of on street parking. Tea was provided but not coffee. Wasn't a problem as I was only there one night.
- Kalanxhi (1/5): Bad -
- Fareda (5/5): Passable - Location was awkward to find.
Property was too expensive for what it was. It was a basement flat and you could hear all the movement and voices above.
- Andrea (8/5): Very good -
- Nigel (10/5): Exceptional - The flat was amazing No Problem because I know Huddersfield so thumbs up, no problem very good
- Mike (7/5): Good -
- Iqbal (7/5): It was an ok ish stay all round - Concealed spot and entrance Noises coming from top floor
- Konstantin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Haider (10/5): Exceptional - They let us stay 1 hour extra from check out time as our pickup got delayed
Thanks to them
- Joanne (9/5): Superb - A lovely little room with everything you need for your stay. Very easy entry. There was parking across the street. Quiet area Watch out for the turn-off into the street itself as it is a one-way road with a discreet entrance, which we missed the first time round. Not a dislike just a heads up.
- Peter (6/5): Pleasant -
- Neo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lucy (9/5): Superb - Clean space and reasonably priced. Host was really friendly. Perfect for a few nights. Could do with some better lighting.
- Paul (9/5): Superb -
- Smith (10/5): Exceptional - Everything it was a great place to get my head down and also in a very good location that helped me see family and friends will be staying again it was very clean and very well maintained throughout
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional - Clean and tidy with everything you need NA
- Monahan (4/5): Disappointing - It was good Value for money. The host was very nice location was fine Area seemed a bit rough
- Philip (1/5): Bad - It’s a cellar!
- Brad (2/5): Very poor - I liked the location On entering the apartment ( basement). There was a strong odour, On inspection, even though the bedding looked as though it had been washed, I found holes in the bedding that resembled, holes that had been made by cigarettes . I found grease down the side of the cooker and stale food on the floor. I'm asthmatic so unfortunately for me the odour got to strong and began to effect my chest and cause me pain, so I contacted my company and found alternative accommodation.
- Sergejs (3/5): Poor - Extremely dirty. Hair, crumbs and dirt all over the floor. Grease and stains in the cupboards with glassware. Some cups dirty. Walls/flooring in appalling state. Severe mould in the shower.
Grease stain on the side of the cooker.
Pictures on the listing do not represent the reality.
Wouldn't stay again even if would be desperate.
Yes cheap but does it mean that the place should be dirty.
- Robert (8/5): Charming basement studio - This is a charming basement studio. It has everything you need and was comfortable. Parking is easy and very close
- Ben (6/5): Okay for a short stay. - Location was good, near central Huddersfield. Parking is abundant. Good private studio. Warm and comfortable. Smells of damp, there is a dehumidifier to combat this. Could do with a good clean and refresh of appliances and bed linen. No fan oven. Microwave overheats and turns off after 5 minutes. No light directly in shower.
- Joseph (9/5): I liked it: it was a good base for an enjoyable weekend. Wild moorland a short local bus journey awa - I liked staying where there were ordinary people with families, in an area similar to where I lived as a child in Birmingham. I enjoyed the openness and friendliness of people in the area. Working clock on wall with big hands so I could tell the time of the night without having to find my glasses. Toilet just a bit to close to wash basin. More powerful lighting so I could read without eye strain.
- Dordevic (8/5): Very good -
- David (8/5): Very good -
- Daka (6/5): Pleasant - It iwas spacious and well equipped room. The owner was was very helpful with the quires replying within minutes. Free parking was available. The shower cubicle is good size and fresh towels .Good size TV. The bed was not properly made with the duvet bottom on the headboard side. The linen didn't smell fresh. I didn't like the black fitted sheer and it had small holes at the bottom. It was not easy to get there but the owner was very helpful to give exact location of the property. There was no complimentary bottle of water in the fridge. The seat cushions and cover didn't appear to be fresh. The place is good but they need to provide fresh linen and remove unwanted items in the room.
- Monise (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sarah (6/5): Pleasant - The keys were waiting for me. Great parking. There was no cutlery to eat with.
- Leyland (7/5): Good -

- Andrea (8/5): Joyful place - Quirky place, warm and well equipped. Grouting in bathroom needed a good clean.
- David (3/5): Crap - nothing, the smell of damp made us leave one day early everything
- Thomas (1/5): Bad - Nothing it was the worst place I have ever stayed in a complete hovel !!!! Everything couldn't find it as no postcode. General condition of facilities was appalling!!! The shower facilities was covered in black mould shelf hanging down. Cooker had no thermostat knob on & was filthy inside cutlery was poor condition!! Extension plugs hanging down from the ceiling. No bath towels other towels very grubby smoke alarm not to bs standard Also very steep steps up & down to apartment no guard rails!! Took 30 photos to back up my review this property was even worth £10 a night!! I want my money back as it wasn't up to booking. Com standards if I don't get refund or credit I won't be using your site ever again!!!
- Laura (10/5): Exceptional - Location was great for what we needed. There is everything you need all on one place for a great price.
Will definitely stay again if its available when we need The shower tray fills as doesnt drain very fast so there is a possibility of flooding the room when using shower so possibly needs drains checking for blockage
- Barker (10/5): perfect!! would defo stay again - it was clean, comfortable and just amazing nothing
- Sharon (1/5): Bad - Very damp hardly any light smelled of damp, rising damp up the walls, partition from the upstairs house from the kitchen into converted cellar, bed very uncomfortable and used sex toys left in the bathroom draws ,outside car smashed up with paint thrown all over it felt unsafe overall would not recommend this place to anyone.
