Zoe (9/5): Excellent, clean cottage in a great location. - Very clean. Comfortable, well equipped. Great location. Owner very helpful, lovely welcome pack. No recycling on site. But everything else fab.
Vanessa (9/5): Enjoyable weekend mooching the great range of shops, lots to see and do in Whitby! - Very clean, lovely welcome pack and in a quiet area. Lots of space in the twin rooms for adults. Communication prior to visit was excellent, including good directions! We didn’t get to use the pool, but it looked a fabulous amenity. Little further out of Whitby- there wasn’t an obvious walking route back into town. But the weather wasn’t kind, so it didn’t really affect our plans- we took the car instead!

Ideal for people who like to have a relaxing vacation. The host was very personable, great welcome pack to start your holiday. Easy check in. Nothing.

Patricia (10/5): Whitby - a great resort! - The cottage was very comfortable and the location was perfect. The walk to Whitby on the Cinder Path/ viaduct was beautiful and not too far away. The pool was a nice addition.
James (10/5): Cotton gathering - This is our 3rd time at Captain Cooks Haven. Already going to look at around the same time next year. Cathy is spot on with everything, welcome gifts information etc. Such a lovely setting & superb for families. Accommodation is everything you would want. I am sure we could find some little fault if we thought hard enough. The 9 am departure is a bit soon but this is out of Cathys control! Welcome pack etc very thoughtful & appreciated. Kids did not like steep bank returning from river. Lazy kids eh!

Alison (10/5): Relaxing peaceful stay for all the family - Beautiful location with lovely views and great for kids. A scenic and easy walk into Whitby. Property was really clean. greatly equipped with everything needed for the stay. Cathy was a great host, friendly and informative and left a welcome pack which was a lovely touch. The play area and pool were brilliant for the kids, along with the peaceful outside space which felt very relaxing. Nothing. All great.

Nikki (8/5): Beautiful setting and lovely cosy accommodation, perfectly located for Whitby and the surrounding area. - The property is cosy and well located and has everything you need. The location is beautiful and the views of the viaduct are amazing, as is the open countryside to the back The hot water was only enough for one shower so we struggled with this. We boosted it the second day which helped but the first day we hadn’t realised so only one of the 5 of us had a shower.
