Guest Reviews
- Elizabeth (8/5): - The closeness to Balkarat Hospital, town and the lake is amazing. The ability to have our dog with us. The only negative were the state of the backyard
- Anna (7/5): - Location great Shower head needs to be tightened or replaced, kept falling down..
- Jonathan (9/5): Good value stay. Just be aware that pets are only allowed in back yard and kitchen - Location Restricted access for pet dog

- Maree (7/5): Ok - Location was good and the beds comfortable The house felt big and empty would have felt better with some colour and more pictures on the walls
- Kelly (9/5): Excellent, clean and in a great location - We would recommend staying at Urban Escape, it met with all our needs and was in an excellent location. It was clean and comfortable with good gas heating. The rear yard was fenced excellent for our dog. When next in Ballarat we would definitely stay again.
- Danielle (10/5): -
- SHARON (8/5): Good location, clean and pet friendly. - Communication with the host.
Location, plenty food outlets and shops nearby. It was very cold and I couldn't get warm.

- Rachael (8/5): Quick and easy, very convenient area to stay. - House was clean and comfortable. Good to have a private car space out the back. Nothing bad, had a good stay. Just took a while to work out what key opened each door. They have a code on them so maybe include that in the instructions for users so they done have to try al keys.
- Michael (9/5): Superb -

- Sommar (10/5): Very comfortable, will be back. - Great heating. Homely. Location.
- Delene (9/5): Superb -
- Elizabeth (8/5): A pleasant central stay close to shops and the lake for a good walk. - Great location.
Nice and warm considering the temp outside.
Beds were very comfy. I was hoping for at least some milk in the fridge or complimentary bread or cereal as many other places provide. I would have liked face towels. Night lights in the long corridor. A heater in the bathroom.

- H (3/5): Disappointed - I liked the comfy bedrooms and how close it was to the lake. The house is cold and much darker than the photos, the couches aren't very comfy and the road noise is pretty loud. They also don't tell you until just before check-in that pets aren't allowed on the carpeted areas, but nearly the entire house is carpeted. Wouldn't recommend this stay.
- Ivan (9/5): Superb -
- Sarah (9/5): A beautiful home away from - Very clean and perfect location, easy to get to town :)
- Vivienne (10/5): Relaxing ambience goof - Suitable for us and the dogs location great Not much
- Lisa (9/5): So convenient location to the hospitals - The location is fantastic, just a short walk to both hospitals or a few minutes walk to shops in the main street. The house had air conditioning in all the rooms. Very clean and tidy and the beds were comfortable. It was very quiet, with secure parking at the rear. If you are having a procedure done at either of the hospitals its very convenient and comfortable for your support person to stay and be within walking distance to visit. And you dont need to worry about paying for parking either with secure parking on site. There was nothing really, it might be nice to have bit of a garden out the back to sit in.
- Megan (10/5): Conveniently located house close to the Hospitals and Lake Wendouree! - The location was great for quick access to the lake and main part of town... easy to walk everywhere
- Helen (8/5): Great location, very well equipped - would recommend - - Lovely modern interior decor - comfy furnishings and lovely bed linen etc
- Very well equipped kitchen
- Spotlessly clean
- Very secure backyard for our pup :)
- Dog friendly
- Great location - less than 10min walk to the lake - Carport roller door was quite tough to open/close
- Property is quite dark (just the style of the home - nothing the host could do)
- Emily (10/5): Exceptional -
- Yumei (9/5): Superb -
- Laurie (8/5): Very good -

- Violeta (9/5): Great for a family, would definitely recommend to others and stay here again. - Placed looked clean, rooms and living area decorated nicely. The heating in main living room was amazing on the cold winter days. We loved how central it was to the places we went to around Ballarat. Bathroom was nice and big. Kids loved the games supplied, Jenga and Uno. We didn’t receive the first email that had the pin for the lock to retrieve our house keys. It was very quickly rectified by Jess who promptly sent the pin via text message. There was an old house smell when we first opened the front door, but once in, we either got used to it or it wasn’t as noticeable. The toaster took a long time to toast our bread.
- Marg (9/5): Superb - I had an event on and needed to see someone in hospital s this house was half way between both locations....walking distrance.
Great house. Great parking in back etc.
- Sue (7/5): Good - Fabulous location walking distance to all things Ballarat Not as clean this visit and garden badly in need of weeding.
- Melissa (7/5): Good -
- Alan (4/5): NO THANKS - LOCATION WE LOST OVER $100 OF FOOD WHEN THE FRIDGE DID NOT WORK, MANAGER PAST ON TO OWNERS BUT WE HAVE NOTHING FROM THEM.
- Roy (6/5): It was a good stay, end of day good to come back to quiet house. evening walks at lake good too. - Good location easy walk to lake, restaurants, hospital for visiting, and short drive to basically anywhere in Ballarat. Even though the house is located on a fairly main road, it was quiet within all its rooms. Street parking is able overnight, though during busy daytime weekday periods it is limited in daytime for two hours from 9am till 5pm, if you're out and about for the day touring Ballarat this will be no problem. There was locked back yard parking (more secure) via a lane way entrance and roller door access, however at the time of our stay the roller door was not working automatically on the supplied FOB key, so to access this parking we needed to bypass the door it into manual mode, overall not quite ideal for daily usage when considering needing to lock the house after closing the roller door. I should add that I liked that leasing agent was responsive to our enquiry of FOB not working, and was willing to arrange repairs a couple of days later, we declined repairs as we were okay with street parking for most of our stay, and used manual mode on roller door for the last night.. All up, apart from the roller door, the house stay was great, location near lake excellent for easily accessed evening walks, parking was safe, facilities in regard to heating, cooling, kitchen utensils, washing clothes, internet and TV all great. Two things only,
Firstly minor - as previously mentioned the supplied FOB Keys did not operate the laneway roller door as indicated, would have enabled car parking in back yard, manual process to open door and lock door after exit was difficult. Though considering that the local area for street parking was quite safe, and many other residence seemed to be parking out on the street as well. It was more a convenience to be able to park in back yard for unloading and re-packing at end of stay.
Secondly the beds were very firm, sorry but so firm that it felt like I was sleeping on the carpet. Yes I understand the need to have beds that last the distance, but there is firm, and then there is FIRM.
- Sue (8/5): Ideal location with everything you could want within easy reach. - Great location so close to shops, restaurants, lake and the botanic gardens.
Wonderfully comfortable beds. Nothing, although we had a bit of trouble with the garage door, key fob wasn’t working.
- Sarah (10/5): Would most definitely recommend this property and it will be the first one I check on next time I’ll looking for accommo - Property was such a great location. It was a lot bigger than I imagined. Perfectly set up with everything you need and more. So very clean. Safe space for our fur babies out the back in the secure yard. Great value for money. Big rooms and very comfortable beds.
- Meagan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Robyn (10/5): It was everything we needed to rest and recover from a long drive. - It was beautifully presented, clean and welcoming - with lamps switched on. Everything was in good working order. Ample heating. The beds were super comfortable and with quality cotton bed linen.
We appreciated the additional condiments and milk in the fridge and the use of a hair drier. And having secure parking gave us peace of mind overnight. Also it was nice and quiet. Lots of cobwebs on the windows outside. Only points off for presentation. Otherwise everything was great.
- Jana (10/5): Pleasant - Easy to get the key however thought the keys would open the front door but the keys only opened the screened door and not the solid door- we used the rear entry instead. Easy to get the key however thought the keys would open the front door but the keys only opened the screened door and not the solid door- we used the rear entry instead. Not a big deal though.
- Shane (9/5): Very happy overall and would definitely recommend to others. - Cleanliness and location was great. Great that we could take our dog. Difficult to get into front of property for a start. Owner did inform us through email.
- David (10/5): Great location and stay - Spacious property, everything you needed, easy to find and close to town. Had a great time staying at the property with friends. Would recommend to others as well. All good, no negative things to report.
- Elizabeth (6/5): Pleasant - The house is spotless and very comfortable We had trouble with the keys and ended up having to access the house through the back door. The keys need to be marked.
The rear parking access has a deep ditch that our car bottomed out on (each time) and the bumper has been damaged.
- Jodie (10/5): Was exactly what we needed and enjoyed our stay - It had everything you could possibly need in an accommodation It was quite cold initially but once all the heaters kicked in it was ok.
We also struggled with the wifi
- Brendan (7/5): Good -
- Martin (10/5): excellent -
