- Benjamin (9/5): A pleasant stay in a property with character - Kimbell Hill is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The décor may be a little dated, but we had a very pleasant stay. The views from the picture windows in the master bedroom and the main living/dining room are amazing. The main living/dining room is great for family gatherings. The surrounding grounds and gardens are well kept and and lovely to sit in with a quiet drink. The weather was unseasonably cool during our stay, but the wood fire made for a lovely and cosy atmosphere and the heating in the bedrooms works well. While clean, there were some cobwebs and dust in some corners of the rooms. Also, there are no blinds on the windows in the main living room and master bedroom. This can make for a very bright and early wake up call in the bedroom and some hot afternoon sun in the main living room.
- Dean (8/5): Comfortable - The size and grandeur! No blinds on bedroom windows not even the bathroom windows
- Nadeesha (9/5): Fantastic stay close to nature - Location, views and the house Nothing
- Luisa (9/5): -
- Heather (8/5): Spacious - The location. The lack of curtains.
Very dusty and cobwebs.
Not enough tea towels.
- Merbis (8/5): Very good -
- Tamara (10/5): Exceptional - Everything- just amazing
- Lilah (10/5): We absolutely loved it here! - The view on the property was sensational, the house is absolutely beautiful. It is very well furnished. The beds were comfortable and we just loved our stay. My children were amazed and called it a "farmers castle". We intend to return! The makeshift lock in the main bathroom is not effective and someone was able to walk in while it was locked.
- Sujith (7/5): Good - Curtains were not present in main bedroom and outside bathroom.
- David (8/5): Very good -
- Tamas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Natalia (5/5): Amazing interior, location , but lots of discomfort - Interior, location It lacks lots of essentials. You can’t exactly say it is self-contained.
There are no knives that actually cut. It was problem to cut even bread and lemon.
There is no serving soup spoon, can opener, wooden/plastic spoon for non sticky frying pan, kitchen towel. There is no any basket for rubbish in toilets. There is just one small pot available. Coffee machine had 3 capsules which were not for that machine and didn’t fit it.
There is no tray to dry dishes. It’s good we brought ready to serve food , though I had to serve soup with ordinary small spoon which took ages.
The house is huge and there were just little amount of log fire left, no small branches usually left to start the fire as well.
It was freezing cold inside because split system in one end of the building and small heaters in the rooms were not strong enough to heat the big premises on the cold days.
