- Eltahir (7/5): - Clean plus good location Hangers in the ward robe are flimsy
Toilet is too tight
- Theresa (5/5): Was ok - Bedroom size Not much to do
- Eltahir (7/5): - Location
Cleanliness Bathroom too tight. Ward rope is flimsy
- Elaine (7/5): - Supportive staff when I messed up booking dates! No clear signage, was walking around not knowing where to go.
Although it served a purpose, the bathroom is a very small sink, toilet and shower in the room.
- Eltahir (7/5): -
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good -
- Nyandoro (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chrimes (9/5): Really lovely stay - The room was really spacious and clean, the decor was great, bathroom had all you would need for your stay. The host was helpful when we found a problem. The bed was a bit too hard for me and my husband. We couldn't get the shower water hot. I would also recommend a fan in the room as we are on the top floor which may not help in the summer and we struggled to sleep in the heat.
- Steven (8/5): Very good - only 10 mi n walk to train station
room very clean and comfortable
- Ulku (8/5): Very good - Safe and great location
- Yvonne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Yvonne (10/5): Exceptional - The staff are so friendly
Very clean
- Yvonne (10/5): Good stay good rate - Very clean linen cha fed regularly and the cleaner was excellent very helpful ..carried my suitcase up the stairs
These premises have been upgraded with new owners
Resturant downstairs food is good too Traffic on the road very noisey but they cant help that ?
- Nigel (7/5): Nice place - Cleaners came in everyday Codes to get in doors and rooms were a bit awkward. I'm sure the elderly would struggle
- Gemma (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marc (9/5): Superb - Very friendly hosts which made my experience very pleasant.
I was impressed with the room and just how clean it was, had a great stay and would recommend.
- Clare (4/5): Disappointing - The staff and location The window didn't open up and it was really warm
The TV wouldn't come on so they moved us room at midnight and the shower in second room was abit faulty
- Thompson (7/5): Good - The property was clean and easy to access The beds were hard
- Marieline (1/5): Bad - They cancelled our booking at the last minute
- Walsh (1/5): WARNING: THIS HOTEL IS A SCAM – DO NOT BOOK! I feel completely let down - WARNING: THIS HOTEL IS A SCAM – DO NOT BOOK!
I feel completely let down and distressed by this terrible experience. I booked this so-called hotel through Booking.com, paid in advance, and even messaged ahead to confirm my late arrival, which was acknowledged as fine.
However, when I arrived after 11 PM, exhausted after a six-hour journey, the hotel simply did not exist. In its place was a restaurant, with no sign of any accommodation. Desperate, I called the contact number provided and was answered by a random woman with broken English, who claimed she would speak to the "manager." Shortly after, she told me that the manager said I should call Booking.com for a refund—at midnight.
At this point, I had nowhere to stay, no way to secure another hotel in time, and an extremely important work commitment the next day. I was left stranded and completely abandoned.
Despite my attempts to get my money back, I have received no refund and no apology. I have now reported this scam to Booking.com and am taking this as far as possible, including legal action through my solicitor if necessary.
This was an incredibly stressful and frustrating ordeal, and I would strongly warn others—do not book this place! Find a legitimate hotel instead and avoid the nightmare I went through. WARNING: THIS HOTEL IS A SCAM – DO NOT BOOK!

- Omar (1/5): Bad - booked on them wrong date so I waited a week came on the correct day could not find the place went onto the exact building shown no one one could speak fluent English absolutely diabolical. CCTV all over the rear of property and secret recording definitely taking place one girl did manage to say air BnB never heard of booking.com.
Never got a refund because I booked a last minute deal thank god I'm back home I hope this place closes absolutely money making idiotic scam of a side show bollocks.
- Robert (1/5): Bad - Nothing place was freezing cold stunk of grease from the cafe Everything cold and dirty
- Green (8/5): Very good - In short: I liked the location, the communication from centra studios, and the cleanliness of the bedroom.
I needed accommodation as I was attending a 2-day competition (the Hertfordshire Grand Tournament) which was taking place in the Hemel Leisure Centre, which centra Hemel is only 2 minute walk away from. For my purposes, it was perfect.
Centra Hemel sends a message outlining how to enter the flat, including how to put in the codes for the doors correctly. This was done in a succinct message, that outlined everything that was needed.
The bedroom was spotless, and with larger beds of a higher quality than I was expecting. I found that the bathroom did not meet the same standard as the main bedroom, with it being quite small and cramped. The shower was also a little grimy when I first came in. However, I was still very happy with the room.
- Rhode (3/5): Poor - Location Tidiness, dust, nothing to make drinks I.e cups or anything like that there was loads of dust and someone else dirty sock under the bed and I spoke to the owner said he do refund thru booking and then ignored me with no refund
- Clair (3/5): Absolutely don’t bother wasting your money - Nothing really. Everything. Doesn’t feel safe at all! You go in through the back, up some random stairs, which is pitch black. Was told to park in the pub car park and it would be fine, which then resulted in me getting a parking fine! Reached out to the owners and got ignored. Gave me the wrong code to get in, so ended up setting alarms off at 9pm. The toilet seat was hanging off and the doors had been taken off the wardrobes. Bathroom was basically a toilet cubicle with a shower in it that isn’t even big enough for my 7yr old. It had a tv and a kettle (but nowhere to fill the kettle unless you used the TINY bathroom). It was so loud! I could hear everything that was said in the other rooms. States it has WiFi, but it didn’t work. The room was absolutely freezing with just 1 radiator that wasn’t on.
- Richard (6/5): Given the price it was value for money. It was a no frills room for the night. - Well located. Convenient for meeting my friends for the evening.
Decent size room with en-suite. Bathroom needed an upgrade, toilet seat hanging off and TV would not work and the entrance was untidy which created a poor first impression.
- Ben (10/5): Great and convenient - Cleanliness Nothing it was amazing
- John (3/5): Terrible, couldn’t wait to leave (0645) - Nothing Basically a HMO. Shower was terrible, not a very secure lock on door, kettle provided without any cups, tea bags/coffee- shocking. Would not recommend to lone females travelling.
- Amerjit (4/5): Disappointing - it was a small room with en suite. had to call the manager to tell him that the electrics were not working in rooms, and he has given a full refund which was fair. Once the lighting came on in morning i could see that it wasn't clean, bins not emptied on room. unless you take your own cup and coffee, you can't have a hot drink as there is only a kettle provided.
- Karsten (9/5): Superb - Being situated closed to the Town-Centre, South Hill Centre, Bus Station, the Greenery, Canal. Please bring earplugs without. If you got the room watching over the road, it is noisy. But good 3M earplugs will help you a lot to have a good sleep.
- Adam (1/5): Avoid!! - Nothing Dated hole with dirt bedding, thin walls, uncomfortable bed a health hazard.
The bed bugs seem to like the place though!
- Jared (1/5): The stay was awful , got given code for wrong room walked in some1 was staying there , - Was like a half way house not a hotel
- Navin (3/5): Wasn’t a pleasant experience at all, wouldn’t stay again - The location It was dirty, the toilet didn’t work properly, couldn’t open the window, walls was so thin can hear other guests shouting all night, light was hanging off the ceiling, didn’t feel safe at all.
- Andrew (5/5): Passable -
- Jack (3/5): Disgusting - Nothing My room had been slept in
Dirty bedding
But as I only needed one bed was told I could sleep in the single bed as the double had been slept in toilet was stained with you know what plasters in the shower no towels and used vapes and a dirty pair of sexy and underwear on the floor from previous person staying and to top it off my bed was disgustingly dirty
- Jamie (8/5): Very good - There was Netflix
- Anthony (3/5): Poor - The location was good. The instructions for getting in were very clear. The room was clean There was a kettle but no cups . There was a wardrobe but no hangers. There was no where to hang a coat. The toilet seat fell off. The kettle flex didn't reach the plug unless you pou the kettle on the floor. The music from the cafe downstairs at 7:30 every morning.
- Jodey (5/5): Overall it was ok for a one night stay but that’s it. Very poor maintenance on room and overpriced. - It was in a quiet area. There was no staff on sight.
The shower in bathroom kept getting blocked and flooding.
Had to keep turning shower on and off because couldn’t control water temperature.
- David (2/5): Disappointing overall - The location was ok Very loud music coming from the cafe downstairs so i was moved to another room where it was a bit quieter. Shower didn’t work so moved for a third time and stayed in a room that hadn’t been cleaned. Bit of a nightmare really but i think there new to this and it has the potential to be decent hopefully they get it sorted.
- Patricia (3/5): Very disappointing overall - We paid gor breakfast and it was adequate but quite expensive. We were disappointed. No signage from the road.Needed to ask at restaurant,no-one seemed to know.
- Irwin (10/5): Fabulous - I absolutely loved it after finding out how to gain entry the staff at the bistro incredibly helpful room was fab just that I had no power in shower but bistro fab help full owner to when needed room 4 would go back Scruffy but cleaned up by morning 🌅 power needed in shower but all in all safe very
- Liam (5/5): Passable -
- Andrew (8/5): Very good -
- Lizzy (7/5): Pleasant room with a nice view - I stayed in A4. The bedroom was bigger than expected with a lovely view of the Cricket Match. The towels smelled fresh and pleasant. The room was very light and airy. I liked the location of the accommodation as it was close to some lovely the parks. The shower base was old and needs replacing.
The entrance carpet needs cleaning/replacing. It doesn't make a good first impression because it has paint on it.
- Kczirbesz (4/5): I wouldn't book it again. - The location was perfect, easy access to everything around. The view from the window was lovely, I think that was the only positive thing about our stay. There was no staff, I received a text on the day with the instruction details, which were easy to follow. The room was very dark and cold. It was so cold that night, we were both shivering most of the time. The bathroom was a disaster, no hand soap, only half of a toilet roll, the state of it was awful, we decided not to have a shower after all. It was dark (black tiles) and creepy. There was no TV remote, we had to fetch it from another room. There was a kettle, but I wasn't brave enough to use it. No cups, no coffee, what's the point of a the kettle? The back entrance was a bit shady, I wouldn't go there in the dark. We wouldn't stay here again, especially for that money.
- Anthony (8/5): Very good -
- Nick (7/5): Pleasant stay but improvements needed - Clean and convenient location to centre Noisy and space at a premium for the cost per night compared to other options - kettle but no coffee or tea bags a bit confusing as a coffee shop downstairs
- Scarlet (9/5): Lovely guest house, value for money! - Great location, very comfortable room and good price.
- Muhammad (10/5): Exceptional -
- Korry (6/5): Pleasant - It was good location and easy to find.
The bed was comfy The shower was really dirty , and the shower head was broken I got sprayed all over when I put the water on .
Dirt around the room . Very noisy early in the morning from the coffee shop downstairs.
- Trioiu (10/5): Exceptional -
- Liam (5/5): Passable - Shower didn’t work properly, people coming and going at all hours of the night
- Jones (2/5): Waste of money - The door entry was a key code that was temperamental the room had a shower cubicle in the corner of the room which took ages to get hot and by the time you had had a shower the room was full of steam.
- Dan (10/5): Exceptional - The staff helped me throughout my stay could not have been more helpful due to personal problems been here few times and never disappointed value for money is exceptional
- Dan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Yvonne (1/5): NOT VERY HAPPY HERE - THERE WERE NO GLASSES OR CUPS TO HAVE A GLASS OF WATER AND NO COFFEE OR TEA ???
- Daniel (6/5): Good value for money - Easy to find, good parking, unstaffed hotel but had received clear instructions on how to enter the building and room. The room was clean and the shower worked. There was a kettle but no cups or coffee/tea so not sure why it was there. TV was positioned in a way that made it almost impossible to view from the bed. Had to move a wardrobe to turn the radiator down and there was a severely broken power socket.
- Barry (10/5): Value for money - Ideal for work
- Bolton (7/5): Good - The parking was free. The bed was comfy. No tea facilities. Shower room ages to get the right temperature.
- Peter (8/5): Very good - Bed was comfy (if you like quite a firm mattress) location was easy to find, room was clean enough and good value. No frills but it is good value for the price. I like the automatic check-in 2 problems did affect my sleep a little bit:
1) I would have liked to have two pillows. The one pillow i did have was quite thin and it made it difficult to sleep at first.
2) The room is directly above a cafe/bistro that opens at 7am, at 7:30am they were playing VERY loud music, it felt like it was in my room. Luckily i was awake at 7:30am for work but if i wasn't i would be upset
- Richard (2/5): No Quality or Value provided at all!!!! - Easy access. My room was A3 for reference. The shower was either scolding hot (and dangerous) or freezing cold, so I couldn't shower. The towels provided were hand towels only, so not big enough for a shower anyway.
No hand soap so unhygienic.
The basin sink was blocked so took a while to drain. The shower too was blocked, so overflowed and wet the bathroom floor trying to get the shower to work. The toilet was very loud, not just a flush, but suction sound. The walls were so thin the toilets woke the building up whenever flushed.
The walls were so thin you could hear other guest's TV's like you were in the room with them.
There was a huge gap under the bedroom door (50mm unbelievably) leading to the public corridor.
No tea making facilities.
- Kathryn35 (7/5): comfortable, warm, quiet in the night, could walk from the station. - value for money. location. noise from cafe in the day but my host did rectify this for me
- Ashish (3/5): Poor - I was allocated a room but on arrival it was a used room ,had to wait for 10-15 mins for a new room.
But really friendly staff tried to sort my issue as soon as possible
- Gcinumuzi (8/5): Very good - Room was clean and warm Wish there was a microwave or kitchenette
- Artem (8/5): Very good -
- Lucy (10/5): Lovely chalet, superb staff & great food in Les Gets - Staff were absolutely incredible.
Amazing cakes by the pastry chef!! Great cooked food at breakfast and dinner too. Nice bubbles on the first night.
- Paolo (2/5): Comfy bed but very basic - Comfy bed and clean sheets, cheap. No towel, no tea, no cup, no spoon, kettle didn't even fit under sink tap so can't be filled from the tap, kettle needs to be put on the floor to plug in, extractor fan in another room on all through the night, phone ringing in building relentlessly for over an hour. Entry lobby Very dirty. Very basic white room with zero character.
- Erdal (10/5): New place , clean room , friendly staff. - New place , clean , friendly staff. Nothing
