Guest Reviews
- Lloyd (9/5): I would recommend it for a short stay. - Location was great. Close to restaurant and walking distance to War Memorial. Balcony was great. Internet was not working
- Shaf (8/5): - There was no milk, should provide some milk for tea n coffee, for some refreshment
- Kamal (10/5): - Clean, centrally located, well stocked, helpful host. Definitely will be returning.
Highly recommended.
- Tarrin (10/5): - Walking distance to great pubs, cafes, and restaurants. Clean apartment with everything you need. Nothing.
- Tanya (9/5): - Good location to civic No air conditioning in main bedroom.
- Helen (10/5): The accommodation was excellent value for money ! It was equipped with everything ! Thanks so much -
- Frederik (3/5): - The area around is nice. Awful experience
The stay started with a shock: While taking the room keys to be fetched in the rubbish room, I got captured inside. I was unable to open the door from inside. It took 20 minutes until people from outside opened the door. Most importantly, there is a construction just next to the apartment; I involuntarily woke up every morning around 6 am due to loud noise. As a result, I cannot recommend this apartment.
- Natasha (9/5): Centrally located, clean and comfortable - Central location, supplied everything one would need during stay, like dish and wash detergent. The carpark is suited for a small car only
- Victor (10/5): Perfect place - Home@Braddon is in a great location, close to cafes, restaurants, and the city centre. The two-bedroom apartment was comfortable, well laid out, and suited our stay well. Overall, a convenient and pleasant place to stay in Canberra.
- Geoff de Looze (9/5): Excellent apartment for short or longer stays in a fairly happening locality. - This is basically a very good option for a four person family group. You get a proper, modern apartment, with a full kitchen, and get quite a lot of the little things needed for cooking like oil and condiments etc. You get a proper double bedroom and a second bedroom with two stacked bunk beds. There is a good view of Mort Street from either of the two balconies. Parking was fine and very secure once you learnt the way to the bottom level of the carpark. The position in town in good, just off Northbourne, and Braddon is now a bit of a happening place, so you have a good range of food options and some shops close by. The check in instructions were comprehensive - do follow them closely as you will need to. We would stay again as very useable and good value; you could live here for a week, no problem, much better than a hotel room. You need to be aware the 3rd and 4th beds are bunks. Not a problem as such, just be aware if you have say, older parents with you, like we did. But they managed OK. Also be aware the key lock box is where the instructions say - which is attached to pipework. The TV appeared to operate in Google TV mode only, there was no free to air reception as far as we could tell (maybe we are wrong?), we didn't worry about it during our stay in any case.
- Toni (10/5): -
- Helen (9/5): Family friendly in city centre - The unit is a good size and has everything you could need. It's in an excellent location near shops, restaurants, bars etc but 3rd floor so it doesn't get noisy at night. We had a really comfortable stay for about a week and would definitely recommend. Kiddo wants me to add that he loved the bunk beds! Collecting the key was like an escape room challenge! 😆
The allocated parking space is almost impossible to get into if the one next to it is occupied. Fortunately there is reasonably priced on-street parking nearby..
- Gillian (9/5): Perfect - Excellent location, very clean, comfortable, with all necessary kitchen and bathroom products supplied. Seamless check in and supportive information. Will definitely stay again when in Canberra.
- Amanda (9/5): - Close to amenities and very fresh and modern.
- Belinda (8/5): - The location was outstanding with many restaurant and coffee options in short walking distance.
- Dan Miskin (9/5): -
- Nicole (9/5): Fantastic property - The property was great, really clean and well equipped. The host had great communication. The beds were comfortable and the location was fantastic. The carpark was a little hard to get into but really no issues at all, was a great stay
- Rob Pinkerton (7/5): -
- Douglas (5/5): Convenient and well equipped but smell of curry was so strong we stayed out as much as possible. - Good location. Landlord was generous with supplies like coffee pods, toilet roll etc. Very strong smell of curry. We opened all windows but it was still strong after 2 days.
Parking was very awkward
- Sheldon (10/5): -
- Kathy (10/5): Amazing location! - The location was excellent! Fantastic food options, within walking distance, that catered for gluten free. The unit was very comfortable and well appointed.
- John (9/5): -
- Chris (10/5): Exceptional -
- Simone (10/5): Fantastic apartment in the heart of Braddon - The apartment was clean, comfortable and very well stocked with everything we could need. Location was fantastic and close to everything. The car parking can be a little tricky in the underground car park.
- Thomas (8/5): Very good - Good location Needs more kitchen utensils
- John (10/5): Great place to stay for a few days in Canberra - would suit a couple or small family. - Very comfortable unit in busy Braddon-convenient for shops, restaurants and access to the public transport system.
The host Eugene was very responsive with communication-thank you for helpful advice.
Unit had all that you could want for a few days in Canberra.
Good sefl catering facilities.
Make sure to read joining instructions as you need to access key lock box in the waste room accessed via roller door in garage drive way-using code to open and close.
Bed comfortable for a good night's sleep.
Luggage storage if needed at Bounce located in SUPA Convenience Store at 2 Mort St.
Highly recommended. Great big smart Sony TV but no Free to Air via antenna - number of channels available, so no shortage of stuff to watch, but suggest bring login details for your own apps. Was able to watch State of Origin on 9Now.
- Fiona (10/5): Great city stay - Great location, clean, safe and quiet. Eugene very kindly accommodated our request for a later checkout. Finding the allocated carpark space was a little challenging as the numbers aren’t sequential- it is located on the very last level of the basement.
- Cettina (9/5): Brilliant accommodation in a fabulous location. - Once I made the booking, communication with the host was immediate. All of the information we needed for our stay was provided, ensuring we had no difficulty finding our accomodation & gaining access to the property. The apartment is compact but had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Nothing, everything that is normally provided (and more) was provided, including enough coffee pods for a long stay. Normally we have to purchase pods and never get to use them all.
- Russell (10/5): Excellent accommodation. - Communications with the host Eugene was excellent with comprehensive entry instructions provided and any issues quickly sorted out. The apartment is well laid out with all you need for a comfortable stayand more. Beds were comfortable and all the appliances were good quality with the only issue being that the coffee pod machine was broken when we arrived but Eugene quickly offed to replace it. The tv is a huge smart tv for watching You tube on. The aircon was powerful and easy to control. It's a great place to stay. Parking spot is a bit tight for those with bigger cars. The tv had no antenna connection so you had to watch via internet tv which makes it cumbersome to switch between channels. The cooktop was a modern European induction unit with the controls labelled with symbols which, as oldies, we found hard to fathom at first but eventually figured out. Maybe another page on your instructions Eugene?
- Anthea (8/5): Very good - Location was fantastic
- Giraffie (6/5): Eugene was fantastic to deal with, I will be back again soon. - Location was perfect, apartment was comfortable and inviting, all appliances worked somewhat. There was plenty of toilet paper considering there was 6 adults. The apartment was quite dirty and dusty, the stove worked when it wanted, the air con sounded like it was going to die, cob webs everywhere, the dryer was full of lint, I can’t mop floors as mop bucket was really dirty, vacuum was full of dirt and dead flat.
- Karen (8/5): Inner City stay - Home@Braddon provided us with a great place to stay close to the centre. Communication provided by Eugene was very comprehensive and amenities were excellent. The apartment is two bedroom, with two balconies, but the inside space is quite compact. The smaller bedroom doesn't have a window.
Our only negative is that Mort street, which the third floor apartment overlooks, is quite a thoroughfare and consequently very noisy for country folk.
- Angela (9/5): Home @ Braddon - Washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, full size fridge with freezer, balcony, all cooking facilities, 2 bed rooms, lounge/ dining room has everything you need. The car park is very tight if all car parks are being used around you, you wouldn't get in especially with a large car
- Dunbar (10/5): Fabulous stay at Braddon - The multiple bedding options are suitable to travelling with friends. Location to the main downtown civic area. Quiet location. Access to kitchen and white goods. Excellent host, Eugene
- David (9/5): Great location excellent price - Great location Absolutely nothing

- Ericthomas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sandra (10/5): Home@Braddon is Great! - We loved the cleanliness of the rooms, the fact that there was a filled out kitchen, and the location of the apartment. It was all excellent.
- Simon (10/5): Great place in a fantastic location - Great place in a really convenient location in the heart of Braddon which is full of cool cafes , bars and fantastic food trucks. Nothing
- Julie (8/5): Very good -
- Zhong (10/5): Exceptional - Very close to cbd, very nice and clean when we arrive. Easy to get the key and return the key. Nah

- Vicki (9/5): Definitely recommend this place ! - Excellent location! Just a short walk to main shopping centre.
Easily accessible. No aircon in the bedrooms
- John (10/5): Just what I required for my short stay in Canberra. -
- Shannon (9/5): Good location - walking distance to civic - Location

- David (9/5): Great location in a well fitted out apartment in the centre of Braddon. - Great location and well fitted out apartment.
- Al (10/5): Great location and good amenities. - The location is very convenient to get to the downtown area and Canberra is quite walkable. The apartment is well equipped with a variety of kitchen appliances and quality cookware. There are numerous restaurants and cafe both locally and near the city center mall (4 blocks). Eugene was quick to respond to all the questions or requests that I asked him about.
- Sherelle (10/5): Definitely recommend. Clean comfortable and hosts were very helpful. - Clean comfortable close to shops and food outlets great parking
- Anthony (10/5): Great location! We will be back for sure! - Location was great!
- Shaun (9/5): Superb - Great position in Canberra.
- John (8/5): Despite the above constructive comments we enjoyed our stay immensely, thank you Eugene. - Location, facilities Cloths drier Filter blocked with Lint, Vacuum Cleaner did not work. Needed to locate and read Hot Plates manual to get hot plate to operate.
- Sandra (9/5): Comfortable, central and good value for money - The property was very comfortable and in a good central location with lots of cafes and restaurants nearby.
- Donna (9/5): Excellent Family holiday. - Excellent location, lovely apartment clean and tidy. We enjoyed our stay in Canberra.
- Alan (10/5): Newish apartment in excellent condition. Plenty of space. Great location. - Newish apartment in excellent condition. Great location. Excellent range of "stuff" for self catering eg oil, pepper, sugar, coffee, tea bags etc. Good range of cooking utensils, pots & pans. Afternoon sun was great in September. Good parking.
- Jim (8/5): Very good -
- Bruce (9/5): Superb -
- Mervyn (10/5): Eugene is a great host and was super responsive with inquiries. Check-in was a breeze and we were welcomed with a cozy a - Great location, comfy beds and all the amenities you need for traveling with your family.
- Soo (10/5): Loved our stay in Canberra, would definitely book this apartment again - Great location and perfect for a family Nothing
- Geoff (9/5): Superb - Location was outstanding, price was reasonable, the unit comortable, clean and well-appointed. Overall I would thoroughly recommend the property. The second bedroom was small and had bunk beds, suitable for a family, but may not be suitable for couples. A cotton blanket for warm nights would be good.
- Abu (10/5): Exceptional - Relatively new unit excellent facilities
- Denisa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Haydn (10/5): Just perfect. Thank You - Loved the position, easy to get to buy car. The fantastic handbook you get with the booking, detailing how to get in. Make sure you bring a small to medium car if you have a choice. Unfortunately they do not build car parks like they used to.
- Joan (9/5): Superb - Location is excellent Key storage and post box difficult to use
- Esther (10/5): Exceptional - The apartment was so clean. The location was fantastic, and the value for money was also very good. It had all the necessities, so great for a young family like us as we had 3 children under the age of 5. Also, Eugene was very clear with the instructions checking in. It is a warm apartment, not cold, considering we went in winter. The sofa bed could properly use a comforter sheet cover stored somewhere, it was a very hard surface. As I had my little toddler on the sofa bed, it was the best bed to use to avoid falling accidents. But other than that, overall, it was a pleasant accommodation.
- Clyde (8/5): Was a good stay with everything I needed. Just wanted better access to free to air tv for news - Couldn’t get normal tv channels to watch the news and olympics.
- Karen (9/5): Great stay for a family. Would definitely book again. - Neat and cosy. Comfortable decor. Good amenities for a family stay. Shower pressure was great!! Welcome chocolates for the kids were a nice touch. The large bed was a bit too soft for me.
- Zorana (10/5): Exceptional - Very nice, clean apartment. It has everything you need to enjoy on your stay. It's in a very good location, walking distance to the shopping centre and restaurants.
- Alfred (10/5): A pleasant place to stay. - Well appointed
Clean
Very responsive host
Felt like home
City center, Close to everything No fans or airconditioning in masters bedroom. Will need to keep door open as AC is only in living room.
Note underground garage has a 2 meter height restriction. An SUV with a roof pod will not fit into the garage.
- Waters (9/5): Superb - Was well priced, close to food, clean
- Sarah (10/5): Great apartment for our young family and location was great too! - Clean and tidy and had everything we needed for our family.
- Kareena (10/5): Great stay! - Location, facilities Tiny apartment, bit cramped for 5 people
- Yuriy (10/5): Exceptional - Great location, close to good food places and the city center. Convenient parking.
- Brent (9/5): Superb -
- Sharon (10/5): Excellent accommodation, fantastic location - Location and facilities
- Nicholas (8/5): Very good - Check in is simple but documentation needs to describe in clearer terms what to do.
Eg. Should warn the lock on the mailbox is fiddly and that that garage RF transmitter doubles as lift fob. There was an unnecessary black tag on the keyring which confused me in the dark... both are simple things but would make it easier for guests.
As expected, except vacuum cleaner battery is long dead or filter blocked causing it to shutdown <10s needs to be fixed as it seems to charge all the time and is the kind of device that could catch fire
- Erin (10/5): Great location for a Canberra mini-break - Excellent location, close to everything All great
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Elizabeth (10/5): We had a lovely comfortable stay. It met all expectations. - The apartment was comfortable and clean. The location was convenient for the purpose of the stay in Canberra. We had our granddaughters for Saturday night only, and it was kid friendly and very comfortable. The security of the building was outstanding. Communication between Eugene and myself was easy. There was nothing that we disliked about the apartment. The only thing that wasn't working correctly was the block out blind in the lounge room. It was jammed and you could not use the blind. This really wasn't an issue but just needed it noted so that the next users don't try to close it and break the chain.
- Abdul (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was fantastic on this property.
Really enjoyed my stay at the property.
- Thi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (10/5): Close to everything - Great location and very helpful owner
- Shinae (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ho (10/5): Exceptional - Close to city centre. The accommodation is well equipped, clean and tidy. There’s a bit of travelling to park my car on the bottom level of basement.
- Gp2019 (10/5): Secure Location in City for Family - The location and apartment equipped with all you need for family to stay and enjoy also it was very clean.
- Rick (8/5): In an excellent location. A very new, comfortable and well appointed 2-bedroom apartment. - The location of this apartment is excellent for proximity to Lonsdale St cafes and restaurants, and to the city (Northbourne Ave). It is very new and although small and compact, it is well designed and offers 2 bedrooms and 2 balcony spaces as well as new modern appliances (including induction cook top).
The apartment faces west so can be hot in summer at first but this is alleviated by r/c air conditioning and blinds on double-glazed doors and windows. The balcony spaces are also a real attribute and there is on-site parking (on the bottom level).
Our host's communication and responsiveness was also very good.
- Rosalie (10/5): Exceptional - I loved the location, car park and apartment. Thank you to the owner who was fabulous with his support and instructions to help us settle in.
- Mido (3/5): Would not recommend this apartment if you value a clean place to stay. - Central location close to the active area of the town. Poor cleanliness. Found dead large insects in wardrobe and other spots of the apartment.
Kitchen mats and table were left dirty.
Balcony was left with rubbish on the floor and untidy.
Would not recommend if you value a clean place to stay.
- Deborah (10/5): The perfect place to stay in Canberra. And for the price iits just unbelievable. - This unit was just lovely, brand new, great location very clean and so comfortable and great value for money. Everything you would need is provided.
- Temeika (10/5): Exceptional -
- Taylen (10/5): A great and cosy apartment! With a great host - Eugene was an amazing host! Very accomodating and quick with responses. Loved staying here, will definitely be my first choice when I go back to Canberra.
- Carmen (10/5): So close to everything and a lovely little place to stay - Simple and clean with little homely touches and everything you need. Comfy bed, fantastic location, close to eateries and walking distance to Canberra Centre. We will stay here again.
- Tui (7/5): Mixed. - Location was perfect and close to food stalls, etc. We had been on the road for 6 weeks before we checked into Home@Braddon and the reception wasn't very helpful. For instance, when we called for instructions on where to locate the house keys, the person managing the property on the phone, kept telling me to read the 3-page email he sent me previously. I told him, I've just driven in from Sydney and tired and can he just give me the required information, it was like pulling teeth out of a hen's mouth. Never experienced this with our Air B&B in Sydney. He should understand, he may have sent a 3-page email, but how many people actually read it and also when they are at the property, the last thing they want to hear, is read the 3-page email, but give them the post box and combination to it. Also, when I asked about wireless connection, he said it was in the materials in the unit. When I said it wasn't there, he then sent me the key and password. Very unsatisfactory and wouldn't go there again and find somewhere else more friendly.
- Scott (9/5): A very nice, clean, modern apartment. - The bunk beds are quite squeaky.
- Kim (9/5): Location is perfect - The location is perfect for great restaurants/cafes, shopping and light rail access. Very clean and comfortable. Large bathroom. Got quite stuffy at times, and wasn't ideal for three singles due to overall size and the bunk bed. Perfect size for two people.
- Richard (8/5): Great location. Very responsive staff. - Great location nice and new
- Ekaterina (8/5): Great communication with the host, we had a lovely time - Very clean and tidy unit, beds and pillows are comfortable, good location The second bedroom doesn’t have windows.
