• Alexander (8/5): Unbeatable location - The location is excellent, directly below the church, quiet surroundings. The oven with fire wood is cozy. The cottage was very clean. Communication was fast. I found the mattress very hard. The kettle needs to be renewed, is falling apart. Internet was not working when I tried it (also after router restart), but I did not follow it up with the owner because I had unlimited data anyways so I did not need it. Price vs value was too high for me (subjective opinion).

• Andrej (10/5): - Great new place. Clean, amazing views, fireplace and as option the best food we have had during our entire Georgia stay. A bit more pricey for Georgia but well worth the money.
• Elena (8/5): - Very clean new cabin, nicely designed and furnished. Nice views. Very pleasant host, presented us a bag of fresh potatoes grown in his garden There was no electricity in the whole village for part of time. So in the beginning of october it was quite cold inside but still bearable because the host warmed it a bit with a fireplace. Electricity was quite weak, there was an electric stabilizer which could be used for either electric stove or kettle or refrigerator, only one option 😅
• Rubin Dana & Noam (10/5): Highly recommend - Great location, amazing views. The facilities were excellent and we had everything we needed. The hosts were very helpful and nice and helped us with arranging a ride to a nearby day hike. The beds were a bit uncomfortable but no big deal.

• Nadya (10/5): - Beautiful and very clean place with everything you need. Good heating with log fire and electric heaters in the bedrooms. The dinner and breakfast were very good and took care of gluten free and vegan options. When showering, the floor gets very wet. It would be nice if there was floor towels and a mop. The meals were served in the house which is not adjacent and requires a short muddy walk.

• Qin (10/5): 我们休息的很好，推荐。 - 作为一个在高原小村庄的木屋来说面积蛮大了，屋内设施全面舒适，隔音也不错。比起其他住过的木屋，这间不会在白天过热晚上过冷，还是很舒服的。 如果想要享受自炊的话，最好提前询问房东需要自备哪些材料，村子里的商店选择很少价格也高好几倍。

• Rebecca (10/5): Stunning location, clean and well equipped - Beautiful location and you can park 10m away without having to go down a skinny cobbled street. The owner is helpful, and there is a cash minibar full of reasonably priced and super chilled beers, wines, cokes, and waters, which is great after walking up the cobbled valley. Even though it is a wet bathroom, it was the best shower of the trip so far. Nothing. The beds were firm, but that suits us.

• Anna (10/5): - Коттедж с отличным видом, удобно находится рядом с тропой, близко до ресторанов, монастыря и центральной части с музеями. В доме есть все необходимое, чисто и тепло. Перед домом на участке весь день собирали сено, в доме было очень много насекомых.

• Καλαφάτη (10/5): Comfortable and cozy - The place was very clean, new and comfortable. It is situated at a very nice spot, fairly close to the village. The mattresses and pillows are very comfortable. The terrace has a wonderful view to the surrounding mountains, and the sound of a closeby stream add extra value to the relaxing sense of the place. We recommend it! It was quite confusing the way the door locks and unlocks, and we had to figure it out by ourselves since we weren't informed.
• Matilda (9/5): Modern cottage with amazing views - I would definitely recommend staying in this cottage if you are visiting Ushguli. The views in all directions are gorgeous and the cottage is very modern and well equipped with most things you might need in the kitchen. However, I would recommend booking breakfast with the host as they offer an amazing home-cooked meal that you don't want to miss with a generous selection of vegetables, yoghurt, freshly made bread, cheese, eggs etc. (selection depending on the day. We asked for vegetarian food only.). It is good to be aware that you might need to pay the rent in cash, and there is no atm in Ushguli so make sure you bring enough. The shower did not have a curtain so it was a bit difficult to take a shower without getting most of the bathroom wet.

• Jana (10/5): The cottage is really lovely and the place is amazing.Even in winter you can chill on sunny terrace and enjoy breathtaki - Cottage was clean and very cosy to stay with nice views. Electricity was poor,you need to think about what is needed to be on and what could be off.You can’t cook,use heaters and charge your devices in same time.But if you find your own way it is all perfect.

Coffee, tea and the amazing Svaneti salt were provided. You can find everything what you need in the kitchen (you can cook there but bring the food from Mestia because it's hard to find a shop there) and in the bathroom. We loved to stay there. Thanks!

With three comfortable rooms, including two bedrooms, it’s ideal for families or small groups. Each room provides stunning views of the surrounding peaks, creating a peaceful and picturesque setting. The kitchen is well-equipped, allowing you to prepare your own meals or enjoy some of Tazo’s delicious homemade dishes. There is also a mini-market for any essentials you might need, and the common areas are perfect for relaxing and taking in the incredible mountain scenery. Tazo and his family truly enhance the experience with their exceptional hospitality. They make you feel right at home, and their homemade food is a highlight of the stay. You’ll enjoy traditional Georgian meals made with fresh, local ingredients, making every meal a delightful part of your visit. In short, Ushguli Highland Cottage combines comfort, charm, and outstanding hospitality, it’s a place where you’ll feel truly at home in the heart of the Caucasus Mountains. I loved everything.
