Guest Reviews

- Keith (9/5): - Everything was excellent. For the one problem we had (tech) the owners rep was on site in 20 minutes to resolve it. Bright, airy yet still private.
- Fiona (10/5): - We had a fantastic stay at Ostlers Loft. It had everything we needed and was beautifully furnished and decorated. My bed was SO comfortable and the location is incredible.
- Ken (8/5): Enjoyable - Location, homely, clean and well presented. Lack of curtains/blinds in main living room, so lacks privacy and coziness in the evening.
- Ian (9/5): Very happy to have stayed and we shall certainly aim to return. - Self-catering. Very cosy hideaway. Very quiet and comfortable and extremely clean. The hosts sent timely and very clear directions to the address and how to gain access. Ideal location for us and only a very short walk into town. Nothing
- Kelly (8/5): Great Location - Location Living room furniture was a bit worn and uncomfortable. Kitchen did not have pantry basics.
- Sheehan (10/5): -
- Randy (10/5): - The space was cozy and comfortable - although a new couch is needed (lack of support and cleanliness). We actually loved everything. The location was premium. The space was lovely. Views from almost every window were superb. Decor was spot on. You can tell the folks that own this place put love into its rehab. The place was absolutely clean - but many (we found 7) spiders and spider webs (windows, ceiling corners, etc.).
Not a show stopper by any means, but the driveway was so narrow its almost laughable in the extreme caution used to get in and out due to its narrowness - between rock wall and rock house we had to pull in our side mirrors. But never a scrape and all was well.
- Derrick (6/5): Adequate -
- Anne (10/5): Lovely, cosy cottage within easy walking distance of the high street. - Beautiful little cottage, hidden away behind the High Street. Exceptionally clean and well appointed. Lovely kitchen and bathroom. The cottage also had parking which was great. We would definitely stay again.
- Elizabeth (8/5): - Convenient to centre of village. Nice cottage. Beds were a bit hard. The TV was small.
- Denise (9/5): Lovely, comfortable apartment in the heart of Chipping Campden. - The apartment had everything one could possibly need for a lovely stay in Chipping Campden. The rooms were comfortable, and we had the bonus of a dishwasher and washing machine. Great location close to the main street. The fans were adequate, but AC in the bedrooms would have been a treat.
- George (9/5): Superb -
- Steve (10/5): A home from home in a fabulous location. - Extremely comfortable and spacious home, in superb location. Off street parking at the property and within a short walk of all the amenities that gorgeous Chipping Campden has to offer. Nothing. Everything was superb.
- Bassnett (8/5): Perfect location, easy parking, immaculate accommodation with very comfortable beds - Location, immaculately clean, beds exceptionally comfortable, great facilities. The toilet seat was broken and needs replacing… A small thing to do.
- Patrick (10/5): The perfect Cotswolds stay. - A perfect little cottage in a perfect location. Close to the High Street, but quiet and relaxing. We loved the garden area for afternoon wine. There is an easy walk to everything, including some beautiful walking paths. We were sad to leave! Not a complaint, but more of a suggestion. We love having a fan at night. Other than that, no complaints.
- Hannah (8/5): Very nice stay with my friend visiting Chipping Campden. - Cute clean little cottage for two. Warm and welcoming. Well equipped. Beds great and lovely linens. We had a relaxing stay and Chipping Camden was fabulous. Would be nice to have a grab rail in the shower over the bath. A walk in shower instead of the bath would be a lovely addition in the bathroom which is downstairs.
- Elizabeth (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jack (9/5): Superb -
- Nicolle (9/5): Cosy weekend away - Cosy cottage decorated for Christmas
Comfy mattress and nice bedding
Ample parking at the property which makes it easy to walk into the town when parking on this high street can be manic.
Loved everything about the property! Everything was great!
- Sue (10/5): I’ve will definitely add this property to our list of places to stay in this area. - The location just off the main street was perfect. Parking at the property was also a bonus. With the pub and shops just round the corner it suited our needs for the our stay.
- Stuart (9/5): Family wedding nearby - Convenient town location
- Mark (10/5): Cozy, appealing and welcoming with everything we needed. - This is a lovely cottage right in the heart of Chipping Campden and yet private and quiet. The house has lovely finishings, is tastefully decorated, with a perfectly appointed kitchen. As in many of the authentic cottages along the High Street, the doors into the bedrooms and closets are rather awkward but we got used to that quickly.
- Louise (9/5): Ostlers house is lovely and we would recommend this location ! - Fabulous location to walk into village. The cottage delivered as advertised. Well stocked. Had everything needed for our 6 day stay. Roomy for a couple. Nicely appointed. Bright. Comfy beds. All you need! Clearer directions for washer / dryer for Canadians. we don’t have 1 machine which does both. Biggest complaint TINY TV! Lots of channel choices, excellent clear reception but very small TV in a large space
- Jennifer (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michelle (9/5): Picturesque House in a lovely location - The house was lovely! It was very clean. Comfy bed/pillows. It had a lovely kitchen. Shower was more powerful than it looks and nice clean towels. It had a little court yard you could use and was a minutes walk from the town! Overall we had a lovely stay. The TV is very small, didn’t overly bother us but for the sake of people’s reviews I would just buy a bigger one! The lane to get to the property is tight and not much room to manoeuvre if other cars are already parked.
- Andrea (10/5): A truly lovely, peaceful, pretty loft/cottage that I have no hesitation in recommending! - A perfect little loft/cottage. Beautifully decorated, spacious and with everything we needed for a lovely stay. The dedicated car parking spaces were very appreciated in the Cotswolds! The weather was pretty terrible so only used the wee courtyard garden once, but was so cosy to light the wood burning stove (in July!). There was nothing I didn't like. Just one comment that the wee courtyard had some rubbish in it but this could have blown in after the housekeeper had visited.
- Martin (9/5): Excellent stay in a quiet and convenient location in historic town. -
- Karen (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent location, within minutes of the main street but tucked away and very quiet. Quality furnishings. Bed and bedding 5*. Very clean. The garden available isn't exactly adjacent to the house. But not put off, would stay again .
- Diane (10/5): Exceptional - Everything! Great design and furnishings made for a very comfortable and relaxing stay.
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional - Fantastic property in a great location. Has everything you need.
- Leigh (9/5): Superb -
- Graham (10/5): Exceptional - Location place was great parking was a bonus great pub a long 3 minute walk place great bolt hole for us but all places to visit 25 minute drive hidcote Gardens a must great way to explore cotswolds Absolutely nothing
- Alice (9/5): Superb -
- Punita (7/5): Great property, very clean. Really enjoyed our stay. - Very stylish and immaculate. Great location The living room and kitchen are quite cold, the heat from the radiator all goes straight out of the windows and the patio doors are draughty. Curtains would be a great addition. Could do with some more kitchen utensils and a mirror in the bedroom.
- Barry (7/5): Good - location was perfect as very close to high street but very quiet The driveway down to property was extremely tight and a struggle to get a big car down. The lounge area only had a small sofa and could benefit from an additional sofa. The lounge needs to be revamped/changed around. Rest of the property was good but the lounge area let it down.
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely property Nothing
- Janna (10/5): Exceptional - Absolutely loved staying at Ostlers Loft! The cottage is lovely, inside and out. Loved the views from all of the windows. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking. The location is perfect, just a few minutes walk to the town. We are hoping to come back and stay again soon!
- Matthew (10/5): Amazing little place, love it. - The cleanest property we have ever stayed in. I stayed over on the Friday to get ready for my wedding the next day. It was lovely to hang my dress in somewhere so clean & beautifully presented. There is everything you’ll ever need there aswell it has been very well thought out. Had the most lovely time there & we will definitely be back. Thank you so much. Nothing at all. Was perfect.
- Rachel (8/5): Good base for exploring surrounding area... - Very comfortable bed and nicely decorated clean property. Chipping Camden is a lovely town and it was great to be able to walk to the shops and restaurants in the high street. Good base for exploring the area. The photos are deceiving as make the rooms look much bigger than they actually are. Bathroom was quite chilly.
- Nell (8/5): Very good -
- Jeffrey (5/5): Weekend retreat for a young short couple - The location was very good. The unit was very cute and updated. The bed was comfortable. 1. It was very chilly, and although we had several emails back and forth with the host, we never got the heat to work.
2. Also, there was no wood to use the wood burning stove.
3.Safety issue: the bath tub was extremely slippery, and there was no bath mat of handles to assist getting in and out. We almost had an incident.
4. In our opinion this unit is most suitable for 20 something or early 30's and the shorter you are, the better. We are on the taller side and had to constantly duck for 1 beam in the Lrm and always in the bedrooms.
The stairs were a little difficult as they were significantly undersized.
5. Would have been nice if there was some soap for laundry. We stayed 4 nights.
6. Just a note, the only bathroom is on the first floor. There is no bath upstairs with the bedrooms.
- Peter (10/5): Perfect location, perfect property - We attended a wedding at Chipping Campden Church, as such the property was within walking distance which was a true advantage. The property is very well planned and comfortable. Nothing
- Chiao (10/5): Fully recommended for a comfortable stay - Fantastic cottage for our stay. Tastefully decorated. Has all the kitchenware we need to cook. Comfortable beds and showers Nothing
- Thomas (9/5): Superb -
- Francis (10/5): First class accommodation in very central location. - Super location, very central. Handy to have additional bedroom. Good to have a small outdoor garden. Two excellent deli's in the town offer wide range of ready-to-go meal offerings. Also several excellent restaurants. Allocated parking was very convenient (narrow access though). Squeaky interior door hinges need a drop of oil. An anti-slip mat for the bath would have been welcome.
- Zoe (10/5): Really lovely accommodation. Would stay again. - Very comfortable. Well equipped. Comfy beds. TV could be better. Bedroom storage fine for a weekend but would need better storage for a longer stay.
- Yvonne (10/5): Everything I was looking for. - v clean.
nice location.
quiet nothing. Hairdryer would have been handy
- Carol (8/5): Lovely place in central location - Decor, location, bed linen Noisy radiators, no info on how to override timer on heating, no kindling or logs
- Jo (8/5): Lovely stay at Ostlers loft - Newly renovated/beautifully decorated in great location. Courtyard garden a bonus. Ideal for what we wanted and would definitely recommend/stay here again. Please provide instructions for induction hob.
Please provide additional cookware; 2 saucepans inadequate. Needs frying pan; steamer; oven dish etc.
'Rosetta stone' of bin instructions was impossible to decipher and bore no resemblance to actual bins. 'Black box 1 and 2' were never located. These are just suggestions we loved the property.
- June (9/5): A perfect cottage - My friend and I had a lovely stay at the cottage. The location was perfect, very quiet yet close to the High Street with its shops and restaurants. The cottage was beautifully decorated, exceptionally clean and very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and two parking spaces was an added bonus.
We will definitely be making a return visit. Just a small detail. We thought the bedrooms needed some mirrors.
- Harry (10/5): Exceptional - incredibly clean, great location and very useful information pack. nothing
- Sarah (9/5): . - Absolutely lovely! It was just as we hoped it would be; cosy, comfortable and quiet.
Ostlers Loft has everything you would need and was immaculate, it was the perfect base for our long weekend - we’ve already spoken about coming back!
- Marcia (9/5): Relaxing mid-week break - Excellent location within the village. Nice walks on the doorstep, restaurants and cafes aplenty, and they were fabulous. Enough shops and two excellent delis. The cottage was lovely, it was comfortable and well equipped. We would definitely stay there again. Only two things that we would mention. There was no breadknife, so we had to use a steak knife to cut our posh loaf from the deli. :) Not a major issue, just an observation. Also could do with mirrors in the bedrooms, as I had to do my hair in the hall outside the bathroom, again not a major thing, just surprising as everything else was perfect.
- David (10/5): Beautiful cottage in a quiet location. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, would highly recommend -
