Guest Reviews
- Auxi (10/5): Muy agradable - Todo Cuidado con las escaleras estrechas
- Sarah (10/5): - Great location Cottage very cold. Needed to purchase more logs.
Stairs very steep, not good for small children or mobility issues
- Christine (8/5): -
- Robin Maynard (10/5): A lovely well maintained cottage, with gracious host. - Milk was left in fridge for our morning tea ;-) The log burner with logs and fire starters provided made us feel cozy and warm in the evening. Sweet village with nice cafe and handy shop. Bus routes made transportation easy.
On n'a rien entendu !
C'est vrai que la salle de bain est petite mais pour nous 5, elle était suffisante. Le confort du lit mais je suis très difficile.
Heureusement la rue devant est très calme car les châssis sont "simple vitrage".
- massimo (10/5): - Casa tradizionale bella atmosfera
- Shaun (10/5): - A lovely area and the cottage felt clean and fresh .

- John (7/5): Good stay for the location to Minch centre - a few snags - The owner was super helpful upon interaction via messaging. He was open to anything that may benefit our stay as we were a wedding party! The property was very character-filled and had some cosy features. Lots of space to park out the front on the road also. Left plenty of tea and coffee sachets to use, biscuits and bread a welcome addition, along with a pint of milk. The beds were very creaky and pillows were lumpy and almost absorbed into the bed sadly! The bathroom was very hard to access for tall people due to low beams - myself and my husband both banged our heads going to the toilet. A warning should be in place for the stairs on site as they are quite impractical and would be great to know about in advance of booking - especially with older guests as it’s a tight spiral staircase. The chocolate spread was used already in the kitchen, along with used baking supplies. so I’d recommend small packs that people can use as single use due to potential cross contamination and hygiene worries. Some furniture may need updating and floors uneven in lounge especially.

- Wendy (8/5): Live Like A Local - We had a lovely time at Park Cottage, the house is beautiful. The location is great, the parking is generally okay. The kitchen was very well appointed, some bread and milk were waiting for us which was appreciated. The hosts are also very responsive to questions and gave us a lot of information for our stay. The stairs are definitely something to get used to, but we managed okay! The cleanliness could be improved overall. We also felt some items in the kitchen were due to be replaced as well as the fan which was very noisy.
- Brian (9/5): - The cottage is well equipped with everything you need to enjoy the stay, especially as the weather wasn't too kind during our visit. We usually found parking on the road below, but once all the spaces have gone, it can be quite a walk. Anyone with reduced mobility could find the stairs a challenge.
- Julie (9/5): Lovely stay in a gorgeous property - you will feel like a local. - Lovely property in a great location. Short walk to village centre and plenty of parking on the street albeit you may have to walk a little extra. Would highly recommend. Being a period property, head heights are restricted and there is a steep stairs which may not suit everyone.
- Amanda (9/5): - The cottage was beautiful so quaint full of history , perfect location. Loved how the cows and horses could roam free . My one negative would be sofa and chairs very tired and worn . All in all would throughly recommend.

- Carolyn (8/5): Lovely little stay between Wales and London on the way back home to Australia. - Quirky and very cute! Very easy walk to local pub for dinner!! Can’t think of anything.
- Carola (8/5): Heerlijk rustig bijkomen in authentiek huisje. - Schattig huisje, je waant je een local in een dorp in the Cotswolds. Voor vijf lange volwassenen was het behoorlijk krap.
- Helena (9/5): Perfect stay for friends or families - Lovely cottage with layout that met our needs perfectly. Beautiful front sunny terrace to sit out on. Friendly village and neighbours. Only issue was the parking. On site parking stated but is actually on road outside terrace and returning late one evening we had to park a fair distance away.
- Sabine (10/5): Beautiful cottage - Lovely modernized cottage in 4ge heart of the Cotswold. We even got milk, bread and tea. Beautiful area, friendly village The stairs are very low and steep. Not for tall or old people
- James (9/5): Lovely place to spend a few nights in Minchinhampton - Park Cottage is a lovely little place. Minchinhampton is a great place to base yourself for touring around the area. We had dinner at the Crown in Minchinhampton which we really enjoyed. We found it impossible to park right next to the property but it was easy to park about 50 or 100 metres away. It wasn't a problem for us. Loading and unloading, we just parked on the double yellows and took our bags in, it's a very short walk from the gate to the property (I definitely wouldn't try to drive down the tiny service lane!). It's very quiet.
We stayed as a family of three and had one bedroom each. The bedrooms are really comfortable, the living area is very attractive with exposed beams, and it was chilly one evening so we enjoyed using the wood burner. The kitchen is very small so only one person would want to or be able to cook in there at one time, but it is well equipped. The bathroom is a squeeze.
Although it didn't spoil our stay, it is worth noting that the stairs are extremely narrow and steep, anybody with a walking impairment might find them very difficult or even impossible to navigate. My mother, who is 92 and not disabled, found them hard.
- Terence (8/5): Stay was fine but we had no hot water upstairs on the first night due to a leak in the property next door. Problem was r - Location Stairs
- Vikki (10/5): Fun time with the family. - Lovely location to investigate Cotswolds area.
- Gill (9/5): Lovely quaint cottage - Lovely beautifully decorated old cottage in attractive village with a pub surrounded by excellent walking countryside. Logburner to make it feel cosiAer in the evenings. Amazing steep staircases up to the bedrooms on first and second floors, and the small yet workable bathroom with shower over bath. Easy parking on the streets nearby. All very good. It took a little while to get the hang of adjusting the heating to the right level but once worked out it was fine.
- Bronwyn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Caitriona (9/5): Superb -
- Robert (9/5): Superb -
- Holly (8/5): Very good -
- Elizabeth (8/5): Park Cottage Minchinhampton - Lovely cottage. Very comfortable and warm. All you could wish for in the kitchen and elsewhere. Really nice village with friendly people. We liked it all.
- Adrian (8/5): Good stay central location to access the Cotswolds - Didn’t like parking, steep narrow stairs & uncomfortable sofa
- Waldemar (10/5): A beautiful place to relax and explore -
- Catherine (9/5): Superb - Loved the decor. Ticked all the boxes of a quaint little cottage. Exactly what we were looking for. Minchampton provided a great location as a base to travel to other areas for days out. One of most exciting parts of our stay was witnessing cows wondering past. Certainly a change of scenery!
- Jack (1/5): Visiting - It was ok but the stairs where bad and one toilet The owner was bad there make you pay £150 for a cleaner but did not come when we was there very poor
- Kerstin (10/5): Clean and beautifully decorated cottage with all you could ask for. Great hosts with an extra touch of care. -
- Mark (9/5): Superb -
- Amanda (7/5): A lovely cottage in a beautiful location, but lounge furniture tired and steep stairs and bath not ideal for those not v - Lovely location and pretty cottage - very clean and well presented, especially the bedrooms. Fantastic bakery and cafe in town. Lovely walks on the doorstep. Very quaint and many original features. Lots of pots and utensils etc. Thoughtful extras - bread, milk, loo roll Very steep stairs perhaps need more prominent mention early in description - difficult for my agile but 80 year old mother - as was the shower in the tiny bathroom which was positioned over a high sided bath with no grab rail or anti slip area and oak beam right next to your head. Hence she could not shower for the 4 days we were there. Parking tricky, but there were roadworks which complicated this more than normal I imagine. Sofa definitely seen better days.
- Lisa (9/5): Superb - Good location. Cosy quaint cottage with lots of character. Great facilities and good communication with hosts. Would stay again. Finding close street parking could be difficult on occasion.
- Laura (10/5): Very relaxed - Very clean and cosy, had milk, bread and tea ect there on arrival Sofas were a little worn and springy
- Warren (10/5): Lovely apartment in small village - Lovely apartment, suited our family of five perfectively. Well appointed, and good communication with owner. Street Parking presented no issues. The small village was great, with lovely people. A number of quality eateries within walking distance
- Jessica (9/5): Really lovely place to stay - recommend it highly! - It was a lovely place to stay, in excellent condition and very clean. Exactly as advertised. The owners responded quickly when we had questions, like whether they could provide a travel cot for our son. The only minor thing on the negative side was that there are some low ceilings and doors so there were a couple of bumped heads. That may be the same for most houses in the area though?
- Tijana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Travel_pro7 (7/5): Good - the location was lovely and the history behind the cottages was interesting, with some lovely dining options nearby the furniture was a bit dated and worn especially the sofa which we struggled to sit on at times. also the low doorways and steep stairs were a tad challenging at times especially with a baby
