Guest Reviews
- Vanessa (2/5): Extremely Disappointed - Good central location
Good size property with spacious rooms Damp musty smell in entrance hallway. When we arrived ‘spare’ duvets and bed linen were just left on the floor in the musty smelling hallway.
The property in in need of some TLC and certainly a deep clean. it is managed by Pillow Partners (a property management company based in Scotland) and in my view they (or a representative) cannot have visited the property ( recently anyway).
The carpets and floorings were not clean and there was a very large and ‘established’ cobweb in the lounge, which had clearly been there for some weeks (if not months).
In the kitchen, both the oven and microwave had not been cleaned. There were 2 pans ( which were not usable due to the burnt food left on them). A previous review had mentioned there were only 4 forks - I raised this before we went (as well as previous comments on cleanliness) and was reassured the property would be clean and there would be sufficient cutlery. When we arrived there were still only 4 forks (and there were 6 of us)!
There was a leaking tap which we have reported to the landlords and we were surprised the bathroom and toilet doors did not have locks.
Also I made the final payment a month before our stay. The week before I received continual messages that I had not paid with links to make the payment. This was finally resolved - apparently due to a ‘system issue’ but it was stressful ( involving several messages/phone calls) as I didn’t want to pay twice !
- bethany (8/5): Spacious great location but in need of repairs - I absolutely loved the size of this property it’s 3 floors very spacious and was everything we needed size wise. The location is amazing with so many restaurants and shops just outside the door and I appreciated the parking behind. There unfortunately was quite a bit of wear and tear to the property. The tap was constantly leaking which started to make a high pitch noise at times. The clock in the living room is broken and so is the table so it’s pretty unstable. The living room had dirt behind the sofas and some cobwebs. The kitchen had mould in the bin and stank. The rooms were very clean though and I appreciated that. The showers had grime in them and broken handles and seals coming apart. There is a fair bit of maintenance that would make this a 5/5 if they just sorted these issues out.
- Richard (5/5): As our original booking was cancelled 2 hrs before we made the best of the alternative - Good location Poor towels, kitchen tap wouldn't turn off. Smell in reception hall. Bathrooms small.
- Joseph (9/5): Superb - Closer to the shops
- Arron (8/5): Great place to stay for 2 families. - Straight forward information regarding access. Great place to stay for families. Enough bedrooms to fit everyone. Lovely living room to relax and chill with a big kitchen area too. Would stay again. Parking details were great only downside was that we didn’t know that you park around the back of the property but you have no access from the rear of the property. You have to walk around the corner and up the road to the property front door. Would say would be better to warn people of this. A few maintenance issues are needed but didn’t effect our stay.
- Christopher (4/5): Great location the property needs some maintenance & attention - Bathroom facilities, leaking roof in one of the bedrooms
- Ann (6/5): Pleasant - Very spacious
Parking available around the back of the property
Beds are comfortable
Location
Having two bathrooms was very helpful. Couldn’t get the heating to work
Struggled to get the door open. There was only one key, so if you went out and locked the door there was no other exit for your other guests.
When we first entered the property there was a damp smell throughout.
- Lee (4/5): Disappointing -
