- isaiaha973 (4/5): Unacceptable Bad Service - The customer service was poor at the restaurant reception area. The lady who worked there the evening of the 29th December 2025 blatantly ignored me when I approached the desk to ask about the takeaway system - she assisted the people who came after me, who seemed to be speaking the language she spoke and was familiar with the restaurant. Later when she returned she only assisted me. The Manager on duty too gave me my takeaway and rudely only after giving my food, shouted from across the room giving my cutlery. The service at the bowling area too was disgusting the two guys on duty disrespected and talked back rudely when I asked about booking and they told me it’s fully booked - they could not speak English very well and when I tried to make them understand me they were rude and told me to rather leave the desk - this is unacceptable and no customer should be treated like this! If English is a problem then try and understand your customer but don’t be rude. I have travelled the world and even when someone does not understand your language they usually try to politely not like the staff at the entertainment area did and ruined our visit for myself and my son. These were not Swiss staff, but it was a terrible experience dealing with rude staff.
- TravelloverLondon (8/5): A super family location - The reviews here put me off somewhat but our experience was that, yes, Switzerland is expensive but you know that when you book and this is a beautiful location and a great property for families (think Center Parcs but smaller scale and with amazing views from the pool). Our apartment was spotless, the pool including changing rooms, was always clean and the local area was really interesting to explore - we went on a boat trip from Brunnen and up in a cable car at Sattel-Hochstuckli. On site, the pizza takeaway was lovely and the Thai tasted good (but was expensive from a UK perspective). We weren’t charged more than we expected for anything and found all prices transparent. Reception was really friendly and welcoming and provided helpful information when we checked in. The apartments are a bit packed in - we could hear our neighbours on the balcony - but for a family holiday I would recommend. The immediate local area is great to explore on foot with some water based play equipment at one end and a walk with beautiful views of the lake at the other.

- Passenger43850033362 (6/5): It started well but didn’t finish so well - I really wanted to leave a better review, but unfortunately the last half an hour of our trip really soured our experience. The rooms worked well for our family and the pool was great, but the check in/check out process really needs improvement. In all my years of travelling this has been amongst the worst. I had fully paid upfront when I booked, when we arrived we were given the key wrist bands, told briefly the layout of the resort and then sent on our way to our room, no issues there. When we got to our room there were towel packs on our bed, I recalled when I booked seeing a note about an extra CHF10 per person for towels, I had neither requested nor paid for the towels so I thought it was strange that they were there. Initially I thought I must have misunderstood something and that the charge was for additional towels or for pool towels and that we were free to use them. Fortunately as we had bought our own towels with us we didn’t use them and just placed the towel packs to the side. So you can imagine my surprise when we went to check out and they said I owed 120 CHF. I almost just paid thinking it was the tourist tax but then I checked my invoice and could see I had already paid the tax, so I asked what the charge was for and the said for linen and towels. I told them that we never requested towels and that in any event we didn’t use them. I also showed them in the booking confirmation that linen was included. They asked if the beds were made up when we went into the room, I said yes, after going round in circles for several minutes it seemed that the charge was not for the linen itself but the making up of the beds. They said I requested the towels and bed making, I most certainly did not request them and showed my booking receipt that made no mention of this. They insisted that I had. It was quite an upsetting discussion they were really accusatory and quite impolite. They told me I would have to speak to the manager and to have a seat until the manager was available. After waiting at least 20 minute the manager never appeared, they waved me over and said they had checked and I didn’t need to pay, but there was no apology. Whilst the correct outcome was reached, it was a really unpleasant experience being treated in such an accusatory manner, when the error was on their side. A hotel of this size should have check in procedures that prevent anything like this occurring.

- lucyandfamilyk (10/5): Family break Aug 2025 - excellent place - Amazing holiday village with so much to do Beautiful quiet location with amazing hikes on your doorstep. Great accomodation (2 bed apartment) with everything we needed, spacious. Amazing out & indoor pool areas with lazy river, jacuzzi, slides perfect for all ages. Town of Brunnen and swimming in the lake 30 mins steep walk down but manageable and worth the walk (bus also available). Helpful staff. Outdoor pool was open until 9pm which was great. Beautiful views wherever you look, even from the outdoor pool. We ate in Thai restaurant it was delicious Friendly service, beautiful location. So much to do for all ages. The pools are free but other activities are chargeable which is to be expected for any holiday. We loved it. I read the reviews and scores on this website before I went and it made me not look forward to my break. It was an excellent place and should be much higher than 3.8 out of 5.0 average score! Booking.com customers rating is 8.3. Can't wait to return. Thank you

They just don’t treat you like a guest and it’s very inconvenient and annoying to be nickel and dime for every little thing. The pool was overly packed with people. But We had issues with how it was presented on expedia, it is advertised as a resort, but when we got there, they put us in what they called as a holiday home. No towels/ toiletries were provided, we had to find a store to buy some toiletries. we had to clean the room and take out trash before we left. I don’t have any problem doing these things, but then don’t call it a resort. The pool is not located in the same building as the rooms and is not very easy to get it, we didn’t get to use it at all. The on site restaurant Siam had really good Thai food.

- Trip29780322515 (4/5): Money Swindling Resort - Overall, the hotel itself, pools, and breakfast were very nice. However, on check out from the hotel, we were told that we owed an additional $200 for “taxes and fees.” We expressed our confusion, given that we payed our full amount at check in and were very careful to avoid anything that would warrant an additional fee. When we asked what these fees were, the desk receptionist (lady with short blonde hair and glasses) said “we accidentally undercharged you on check in” and did not offer us an apology or further explanation. She proceeded to print out a list of the charges that was completely in German. When we used google translate to figure out what these charges were we found that we were charged a “bed making fee” (our beds were unmade during both of our nights),” guest fee x3 (it was only two of us in a double room), and a bunch of other random things we didn’t understand. We returned to the desk a few hours later and the front desk person (someone else) once again couldn’t tell us why we were charged these amounts and agreed that our charges were incorrect. We finally got a partial refund. I do not recommend this resort. They will nickle and dime you at every corner, trying to make you pay for towels, sheets, shampoo, soap etc… Stay away!

- Jérémy (6/5): - On doit amener ses propres sacs poubelle, il n’y a pas de gel douche à disposition, les meubles sont usés, les linges pour la salle de bain sont une option supplémentaire payante, les draps des lits sont posés dessus dans un sac plastique (on doit donc faire et défaire à la fin les lits nous-mêmes), la ferme avec les animaux était fermée au public lorsque nous y étions (août 2024), et pour finir lors du Check out on apprend que le parking est payant (CHF12/jour). Par contre, employés sympa et situation de l’hôtel pratique (proche du lac des 4 cantons).

Other than that this is an amazing location in the hills with beautiful views of the lake and surrounding mountains. There is something for all ages and you can take a morning hike up above Morschach for more spectacular views. The pool area kept the kids entertained for an entire day. Our family of 6 loved this resort.

- K8084YNstellac (4/5): Expensive and poor value - The room we stayed in (room 258) was stuffy and opening the windows did not bring fresh air in. Upstairs neighbours kitchen window was right above us: we heard everything they were doing, from early till late. This is a 4 star rated hotel: the room has a kettle, but no tea or coffee, also no tea / coffee cups. When I asked reception about this, they said we are expected to buy everything from the hotel shop. I find this very poor value, and I will not return. It’s a pity because the facilities are good, the staff offer good service and the location is scenic.

Das einzige Problem ist, dass der Check-in um 16 Uhr unglaublich spät ist, fast schon lächerlich, und der Check-out um 10 Uhr. mit Kindern ist es eine Herausforderung.
- Lisa (10/5): - We stayed in the hostel part of the resort and had a room with two sets of bunk beds, which led out to a huge shared deck area and also had a very large common area that overlooks the resort. We had chosen this place for a bit of respite on a backpacking tour of Europe (myself and my two teens) and it did not disappoint. We loved the pool area, there are some nice walking trails, and there is a little farm there. We would eat breakfast in the morning on the deck listening to the cow bells as they roamed the field and enjoy the view of the mountains. The food was good but we really only tried the buffet for breakfast, the pizza/pasta restaurant for dinners, and the pool snack bar/restaurant for lunches. We appreciated we could just charge things to our room by tapping our wristbands. The little store was helpful for additional snacks if wanted. Staff were helpful and friendly, room was clean, bedding was comfortable. We would definitely return and our only regret was the short amount of time we had there.

- moj471 (4/5): Food Hygenie Fly issues - Good facilities and pool, however serious food hygiene problems in the restaurant. Flies everywhere, annoying when you sit at a table on surfaces, under the table you cannot relax. At the food buffet I witnessed flies sitting on food - I counted at least 10. I complained to a member of staff and they pointed to these pathetic fans that were the file deterrents! This is a serious food hygiene problem that needs urgent intervention.

- Pantea (2/5): - This hotel is not what you expect. Be careful when booking this hotel. They don't provide you with towels and charge you $10 for each towel. They make you clean the rooms and take out the trash. If you don't they charge you. I booked two rooms for my family to stay at a nice resort, instead they gave me two apartments that I didn't not ask for. It basically ruined our trip as we had to pay for everything despite the fact that they charged us $1400 for 2 nights. When I complained they said it's because you booked through Expedia.

But, there were only 2 bed in the bed room. One person sleep on the sofa in living room for all 4 nights. No one came to clean the room. We have Terrible experience, bad treatment. We should get a full refund for this trip.

- Tourist49408900298 (2/5): Greed: 100% Hospitality: 0% - These people have no sense of hospitality. Nobody gives a damn about you, the service is non-existent. They're stingy in a way I've never seen anywhere else on earth. You're charged extra for every grain of sugar. Greedy MFs. Example: You are charged 120.00 for cleaning for 4 days' stay (which in itself is enormous; 1 to 2 hours' cleaning should be more than enough). But you still have to wash the dishes, put them away, remove the sheets and throw out the rubbish yourself! And it gets even better, they don't even make the beds at this price, so subsequent guests have to pay extra to have their beds made on arrival! It's nauseating. Restaurant experience: I take the adult buffet, my son the children's buffet. I dared to bite into his slice of pizza, and the waitress snapped at me: "Ach, nicht für Eltern, nur für Kinder!!!" Gestapo-style. As for my dish, which I'd half-filled to sample, she's on the lookout for me, and as soon as I've finished, she takes it away from me straight away. Yes, because here the "buffet" is one dish, basta! So if you want to eat what you're hungry for, be a stickler and fill your plate to the brim. And everything goes with it. Fitness 15.- (supposedly included in the stay), breakfast 27.-!!!! Very clean apartment, it's true, but I'm disgusted by this crappy mentality. Shame on you.

- TXMISS54 (6/5): ASK at the desk if it's your birthday BEFORE you buy admission - Nice indoor/outdoor pool (=Erlebnisbad) with a quaint Swiss backdrop. Pricing actually affordable, but with that comes some detractions. The main pool is a family experience, so expect lots of kids and noise when school's out. On the day I went, they were applying fresh paint to some indoor walls--the fumes, whilst not overwhelming, were not my idea of fresh air and a healthy spa visit. The big kicker was that on their website they advertise free admission if it's your birthday. It was my birthday and I had the ID to prove it. But there is (since I was last there) a new kiosk system to get your entry bracelet, and the computer menu does not indicate that this discount is available. As I continued through the on-screen purchase process, figuring maybe after each next step a field for discount codes or whatever might turn up--voila! purchase complete and no free entrance. I went up to the towel rental desk and asked about it. Too late she said. I should have asked her first and she couldn't reverse the transaction. And she didn't even give me a break on renting a towel as a consolation gesture. So birthday people, ASK at the desk first.
- Beatriz (4/5): - Upon check-in the hotel employee that attend us discriminate against foreign people, that even laughed at us- total unprofessional m. We then ask to talk to a manager, and came the F&B Manager, that was such polite and try to remedy the situation. He is the heart, rock star of the hotel and the staff at the restaurants that where awesome! But that does not erase the fact that they discriminate against people outside Switzerland at check-in at front desk to give you a room. The hotel is definitely made for locals and thats is the way they treat the people that arrive at the hotel at check in. They made us feel like we where not welcome there. To enhance the situation we had a room booked, clearly stated in the reservation information and they gave us something completely different from what we reserved. They gave us an outdated apartment on the back of the hotel on the last building of the premises next to a construction site with loud noises from the next complex. That’s how far away we where, that didn’t had towels, bed clothing and housekeeping-which those services where specified upon the information of reservation at Expedia page and they completely disregard it because they all based there self that we reserved the hotel though out Expedia and not directly with them. Completely different room of what we reserved on Expedia, description, amenities not included. Now imagine this nightmare having with our small children, walking far in the cold to our “room”.

Beds are comfortable, apartments clean and functional, staff are helpful. Would definitely recommend to anyone with young children. Location is lovely, halfway up a mountain with access to cable car at the Stoos or bus down to Brunnen on the lake, easy to take the boat across the lake to Luzern Unfortunately, as my children have grown up now, they don’t take as much interest in all the activities
- Adam (6/5): - Food was excellent. Walls in hostel are paper thin and we had very loud neighbors until 1AM who were smoking marijuana which could be smelled through the walls. System of checking in and going to water park needs to be updated as it doesn’t really make sense… you can’t leave things in the lockers in the locker room if you want a break and then leave the water area because the system won’t let you if you still have things in your locker… Also, the hostel area needs an update as the ceiling is crumbling. Not very impressed overall.

- SIMON (8/5): Muy bonito Hotel con muchas cosas que hacer. - Las instalaciones son bonitas y nuevas. Son habitaciones pequenas, da igual cuanto dinero pagues, siempre pequenas. Las comidas de los ninos estan dentro del costo, y los desayunos son Buffee para los adultos tambien incluidos. Recomendable para familia.

Ich habe das Fitness und Wellnessangebot sehr genossen, aber die Badelandschaft im Aussenbereich ist für meinen Geschmack etwas zu klein. Mein favoriten- Restaurant war das Asiatische. Ich fühlte mich sehr gut bedient und das Ambiente finde ich sehr schön. An der Hotelrezeption wurde ich freundlich empfangen und wurde jeweils ausführlich beraten, wenn Fragen anstanden.

The whole hostel smelled bad, it smelled like a dirty washroom/pool. This is not suitable for children. It was overpriced and the room was hot.
