Guest Reviews
- Alexius (8/5): - Location in the Pollocks is good. Nice view towards Bristol Channel. Can hike from the cottage.
Cottage is well organised to make our stay comfortable. Comfy bed, Signage: we came at dawn with Google maps. Sign is very small and visibility can be improved.
- philippa (9/5): - Exceptionally clean and well equipped, good decor. Fabulous location, can do all your walking directly from the accommodation with no need to take the car. It would have been useful to have a freezer box in the fridge, but that's certainly isn't a deal breaker, we'd definitely go back.
- Ashley (10/5): 3 night break - Great location with amazing views. The accommodation was cosy and well equipped to make for a comfortable stay. The hosts were very welcoming. Overall great value for money and I would highly recommend.
- Stephen (10/5): - Lovely location central to the Quantocks Hills. The accommodation was beautifully kitted out no expense spared with everything anyone could need. Some may be disappointed that there isn't a TV but we coped fine with a tablet and laptop.
- Victoria (10/5): Lovely peaceful getaway in quiet location - Peaceful location, with lovely facilities and views.
Lovely little touches left for me and the dog on arrival Nothing
- john (10/5): Lovely well run Hideaway cottage studio. very clean and quiet. - Nice location and convenient to visit our relations in the area.
- Nicola (10/5): Very relaxing and comfortable stay in amazing countryside. - Loved everything! Very comfortable, great location, wonderful views and walks out from the property, cosy wood burner, deep bath with great shower over, greeted with eggs from the hens there, a gorgeous cake and some fizz. Very relaxing. The pub down the road is excellent too. -
- Clare (8/5): Just what I needed to relax and recharge in a beautiful location. - The location was perfect for me, with walks directly from the property onto the hills. The quiet and peaceful location a mile from the village was ideal. The property was nicely presented, clean and had all that was needed. The welcome goodies were a lovely touch that was much appreciated after a long drive. The host was warm and welcoming and checked in with me that everything was ok. If ai was being very picky! I would say the chairs in the sitting area are beautiful quality chairs but for a shorter person a foot stool is needed. But that is being very picky!!
- Tansy (10/5): An ideal place to unwind. - The location was superb for exploring the Quantocks. Kathryn and John are lovely hosts and couldn’t have been more helpful. Nothing!
- Anthony (9/5): We enjoyed our short break here with our dog… plenty of walking and a great local pub The Hood arms for food - A cute cottage well equipped lovely rural location on the edge of the Quantock hills perfect for exploring the area.. pretty outlook from all the windows… friendly, helpful hosts …the bottle of fizz a cake a nice touch…our dog enjoyed his stay too including the large walled garden and the dog treats left by the hosts..
- Dunn (9/5): A lovely place to Hideaway - The hosts were lovely, very friendly and accommodating. They left us a bottle of prosecco, cake, fresh cut flowers and even a packet of dog treats for our pup.
Location is quiet and relaxing. Accommodation nice and comfy with everything you need I would definitely recommend the Hideaway for a pet friendly, relaxing getaway.
- Mr (10/5): Excellent and amazing views of Bristol Channel - Clean tidy and fresh, hosts very welcoming
- Tracy (8/5): Definitely a “hideaway” very relaxing & perfect location for walking. - Location was beautiful fabulous view from your bed, clean & comfortable, bed was exceptionally comfortable. The place has had a lot of attention to detail, all your basics were there including hairdryer, milk tea/coffee/sugar/wine/fresh eggs from there hens & the owners have gone out of their way, to make sure everything was 100 percent including their welcome book, nothing was missing you had all the information at your fingertips wood for the fire was plentiful too & extra was very reasonable. The “dog station was brilliant & for cleaning off our boots. Light carpet/bedding & furniture in the property so, we made sure there paws were always clean & dry before letting them back in. I was slightly disappointed it wasn’t detached, also the garden , was shared (not that we did bump into there dog once in garden, there hens were in an enclosure which we were relived about as they would’ve lasted 5 minutes with our dog. So we didn’t take our eyes off him when he was let out. Our old dog was a different story he didn’t care. Our privacy was respected at all times however & this didn’t effect our stay. The drive up to the property is interesting 🤔 would have been better if we had a 4 by 4 not a focus, but again, if it had been horrible weather, rainy or snow /ice then it could have been a different matter. But it would not put me off going again. I also would say 1 dog is just enough in the small space you have to live in & we had 2 so got a bit tight moving around the room at times. Kitchen was a nice size, bathroom shower wasn’t a power shower but again, didn’t effect our stay.
- Andrew (9/5): A little gem! - The beautiful surroundings, and that the accommodation was lovely, fresh, clean, and well equipped. Nothing, it was ideal and just what we were looking for.
The road you have to drive up from the main road is a bit testing, and it would probably be more suitable for a suv than a sports car.
