Guest Reviews
- Grant (8/5): -
- Sandi (9/5): Highly recommend. Next time we hope to get one of the two storey to see what they’re like - Designed so beautifully, clean and comfortable. Easy walking distance to most things Nothing
- Paul (10/5): A charming stay and good location - A beautiful place to stay. Thoughtfully and beautifully styled Nothing
- Lainie (7/5): - Location Nothing
- Gerrit (10/5): This cottage in the woods is a peaceful retreat, well equipped and with easy access to local facilities. - The Quarters was a magical place to stay. Set in peaceful woodland, the three levels of the cottage are well set/up for a relaxing stay. No issues with the property, to the contrary it was one of the best stays in our Tassie journey.
- Lyanne (10/5): - Het interieur en de ligging.
- Stephen (10/5): - Very close to everything.
- carolyn (10/5): Great overnight stay on way to Hobart. - Very quiet. Short drive to Hamer bar and grill. Great food.
- Carole (10/5): A gem of a place, wish we’d had longer! - Great location, beautifully put together. And on a rainy day, games etc dispelled the cabin fever. Great restaurant right next door Took me a while to figure out the heating but my ineptitude probably
- GLENN (9/5): Nice ,relaxing peaceful stay and a short walk into town -
- Simon (9/5): -
- Mark (7/5): it was ok , just needs a bit of TLC to bring up to date - Location it was a bit tired, the pillows were old and lumpy, the lounge was old and lumpy
- Meryl (7/5): Nice stay for a couple. Nice easy walk to town. - Great location. Comfortable. Nice garden. You can hear neighbors noise.
- K8sW8ing (9/5): Interesting, a little quirky and really comfortable. Very enjoyable stay -
- Brian (9/5): -
- Allana (10/5): -
- Phil (3/5): - Unless going on the cruise there is very little to do there Make sure everything is in writing. Do not accept anything verbally. It will end up being very misleading
- Shane (9/5): -
- Gabrielle (10/5): -
- Chanice (10/5): - The accommodation was comfortable and gave us strong cosy vibes. Perfect for a romantic weekend away, and within walking distance of restaurants, the waterfall and the local pub.
- Alastair (9/5): -
- Dana (10/5): - Apartment 2 was a homely, warm hug. Beautifully decorated and perfectly cosy. I will definitely come again with two books, a bottle of wine and no plans but to enjoy the serenity. The only thing missing was a throw rug or two to curl up with on the couch.

- Siobhain (1/5): Very disappointed. - Nothing like the photos on booking.com. The bed was hard, bed linen was old. The place is run down. Left early booked for 2 nights only stayed one.
- Ann (6/5): Rustic accommodation - Nice location Had a musty smell, air conditioner didn’t heat very well, very dim lighting, see through curtains across the large front windows which let heat out and no privacy at night with lights on.
- Gross (9/5): - The breakfast was not what I eat so did not use it The link they sent to check in did not work and they sent it many many times. I do not like using those systems anyway so ended up having to contact them directly to answer their questions - not what I want to do while travelling
- Kim (10/5): - 3 nights here. Beautiful place. Close to everything needed to do in Strahan.
Loved the vintage, boho look. Very comfortable indeed. No iron. Needed that to refresh clothes after travelling for some time. Used a pot heated on stove over a towel. So all good after all.
- Court (10/5): - Very beautifully presented. Nice furnishings and bed was very comfortable
- Helen (9/5): - Absolutely loved it. Quirky and comfortable. Really loved all the extra touches especially the whiskey. Really appreciated. Nothing. It was all fantastic.
- Gabrielle (10/5): Unique, warm and calming space to unwind and relax. - We loved the peace and quiet. It’s a beautiful, warm and welcoming environment. The special touches and artistic expression makes you feel like you’re visiting a friend. Highly recommend 10/10 Nothing. It was perfect for us.

- Melanie (8/5): - Lovely cottage with very attractive, tasteful decor. Well kitted out in the kitchen. Nice towels and bed linen. Only a short walk to the jetty and pub. Although the open design was very lovely, in practical terms in winter it wasnt the best for heating. The air conditioning unit is downstairs so all the heat just rose upstairs to the high ceilings and downstairs was only just warm enough on high heat.
Could have done with a scourer to clean pans. I had to wash a frying pan before using it to try and clean some stuck-on grease. No oven glove provided and only 1 teatowel and no hand towel in the kitchen. The larger of the 2 hot plates didn't work.
Some kitchen paper towel would have been useful.

- Bridget (10/5): -
- beamish (2/5): Poor experience and not made easy - No breakfast Couldn’t get assistance on the phone. Stuck outside unit for an hour in the rain calling a contact number that wasn’t answered - then it was my fault apparently that l didn’t receive the correct communications
- Ehsanrajaei (1/5): Bad -
- Carey (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely decor and vibe A little chilly, had to crank the heat pump up a fair bit, but it was winter after all
- Anonymous (9/5): Superb - Perfect location for everything in Strahan
- Joel (10/5): Very lovely place to stay when going on the boat cruise and /or train - Lovely decor..the country road tea towel and Lovely linen wasn't missed by me 😍 (Gayle) everything we needed was there. Cosy and warm
- Karl (7/5): Good -
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mckay (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful and comfortable. Everything was perfect
- Sharon (10/5): Exceptional - Absolutely amazing. The way you have decorated this property is stunning. So much love has been shown.
- Sharon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Philip (4/5): Disappointing -
- Neil (9/5): i would stay again - very quiet ,,very country cottage i couldn't find the outside bins but that ok
- Benjamin (9/5): Lovely -
- Tyler (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely little get away perfect for what we needed, had all the amenities you could think of needing. So much character in the pieces of furniture chosen to create a cozy vibe.
- Geoff (9/5): Excellent for couples. - Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Accommodation was so well organised for indoor games and had all the necessary supplies. Beautifully decorated that created a relaxed and warming atmosphere. I will definitely be recommending this accommodation to people I know who may visit Strahan. Thank you.
- Edward (10/5): Comfortable living space for a night or longer. - A beautiful house with a wonderful all solid wood interior. Comfortable layout with comfortable living space, dining space and upstairs sleeping area with a nice balcony and view. Nothing
- Leigh (8/5): Nice accommodation, in a great spot - quirky, but very cosy - we walked everywhere! - Great sized accommodation, in a top location, quiet and with everything you need. The quirky decoration made it appealing and not boring - so it felt homely and cosy. The lighting was a bit dark...and the main lounge was not very comfortable
- Josephine (10/5): Perfect blend of history and retro. Fabulous location. - Gorgeous use of space. Felt like we had stepped back in time with the wood cladding and sisal carpet. Lots of linen in Aussie colours, felt luxurious. Retro furnishing, and art. Loved this place. ALOT.
- Joanne (8/5): It was lovely - Warm and homely Window coverings were light.
Shower over large bath.
- Neil (7/5): Clean cottage but could use some different window coverings and a brighten up. - The cottage was exceptionally clean. The decor was rather dark and depressing. We did not like the curtains along the wall or the couch coverings. The blinds are see through even when closed making us feel uncomfortable having any lights on.
- Tracey (10/5): Little piece of charm - The location and size of the apartment was very cosy for a couple.
- Dawn (4/5): DISSAPPOINTING!!!!! - LOCATION WAS NOT GIVEN THE FULL ADDRESS OF LOCATION, HAD TO CALL TO COMFIRM.
PLACE WAS VERY MUSKY, WHICH DIDNT HELP MY ASHTMA.
DIDNT FEEL SECURE AS ONLY ONLY LOCK ON THE FRONT DOOR AND NONE UPSTAIRS.
THEN WHEN I WAS GOING TO BED THERE WAS A SPIDER DANGLING OVER THE BED!!!!
- Dekstar (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jacoba (5/5): Room 3 was dark and depressing. Like living in an Opshop. The bed linens were not ironed and the towels were old and gr - The position The property was tired and unkempt.
- Heather (8/5): Very comfortable cute cottage not far from town. - Good location, cute cozy accommodation
- Devlyn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Julia (9/5): Superb - Good location. Plenty of space and a lovely bath
- O'neill (9/5): Superb -
- Danielle (10/5): The Quarters was an exceptional place to stay. A perfectly cosy hideaway. - We stayed in apartment 3 and it was extraordinarily charming. The bed was very comfortable and the location was close enough to the main esplanade to be able to walk to the main areas, but far enough away to be quiet. We love that there was a bath with salts and candles. There was everything we needed to be comfortable and have a quality cuppa whenever we felt like it. It was a shame to leave as we were quite busy and would have liked to enjoy the space more.
Next door, at Franklin Manor is the delightful new French fine dining restaurant, Charlotte's. We had an amazing meal there, and it was very luxurious to be able to walk back to The Quarters at the end of the evening and soak in the bath by candlelight. The window beside the door, and on the door were covered by beautiful blinds however they were a little too see through for our liking after dark and when the lights were on inside. The neighbours arrived back only once while we were there do it wasn't a big issue. It seems others don't worry about this kind of thing as our neighbours didn't close their blinds at all.
- Sarah (10/5): Perfect- we booked 3 of the 4 apartments. Each was beautifully designed, each with its own personality and with clever, - Everything about this unique property is so well considered. Designed for relaxation, comfort and style.
- Ronda (9/5): Superb - Comfortable, had everything we needed.
- Susan (8/5): Had a fabulous stay at this airbnb for 4 nights discovering Strahan - So handy to all things at Strahan in the middle and walking distance to all. A little bit quirky and rustic however comfy and cosy.
- Cheryl (9/5): Beautiful apartment and close to everything - We stayed in apartment 4 and it was lovely. The bath was a great size. Very comfortable, classy and walking distance to town and restaurants. Coffee shack had great coffee and eats. Heritage cruise and Ship that never was show are a must to do!! The train only went once a day at 10am so rebooking is essential if you want to get on it
- Joe (10/5): Relaxing - Spacious area and really comfy bed. Very peaceful area and a nice walk to Hogarth falls. Nothing, everything was great and exceeded expectations
- Kirralee (10/5): A beautiful stay that far exceeded our expectations - Beautiful and cozy, far exceeded my expectations. Easy/ quick to walk into town but I would hire a car so you can explore beyond Strahan.
- Spencer (6/5): Quarters review - Very stylish. Basic facilities.
- Rafi (10/5): Exceptional - Very nice apt. Quite and Beautiful location
- Jane (8/5): Very good -
- Sita (10/5): Exceptional - It had a beautiful cosy and homely feel. Everything was in walking distance along the path and the gardens out the front were lovely. The whiskey was a lovely touch for a night cap. Wished I could have stayed for two nights.
- Leanne (9/5): Superb - We had difficulty with the heater unfortunately
- Ffion (9/5): Loved the stay. Had a wonderful time in Stahan. - Cost and inviting Had a small fridge but it didn’t have a freezer. They did warn about this so not a deal breaker but would be very convenient to have one.
- David (10/5): A very interesting property in a very interesting place - Good location close to the Wilderness Cruise restaurants etc
Very comfortable and well equipped property with everything you need for a few days stay Nothing
- Linda (10/5): Lovely boutique accommodation. - Short walk to town.Quiet location, but still convenient. Tastefully finished decor & amenities. Quality comfortable bedding.
- Bill (4/5): Disappointing -
- Paul (7/5): Good - Comfortable clean location TV wouldn’t work
Elec blanket didn’t work
- Trent (10/5): Exceptional -
- Fran (1/5): A disaster and couldn’t wait to leave. - The only good thing about this accommodation was the location. There was no aircon, no ceiling fans. The only standing fan was broken. The upstairs bedroom was hot and stuffy and would be unbearable in summer. There were no screens on the windows or doors so we couldn’t get any fresh air without mosquitoes coming in.
The bathroom tiles were dirty and the tap wasn’t working properly.
The furniture was old and uncomfortable and the windows were dirty.
The telly and wifi didn’t work due to a storm weeks ago but we weren’t informed about this until after we arrived.
I would never stay here again!
- Daniel (8/5): Very good -
- Sianne (5/5): Great location, but not worth the money. - Fantastic location, its within walking distance to the main attractions. Check in was super easy and details well communicated before check in. The style is definitely very particular. The bathroom door handle is very hard to open with the potential to get locked in. It needs to be fixed. The bbq was absolutely disgusting, very dirty and not usable. The pillows weren't the cleanest either and the black marks behind the pillows was a bit of a worry (is it mould?). Not sure what the point of the tv is if it doesn't work or if you need to use you own wifi.
- Don (9/5): Cozy and comfortable. Pleasure to be there. - The rustic feel and warmth Zero
- Caitlin (7/5): Good -
- Ken (4/5): Disappointed with standard of the property. - Location was fine. Building old and not well maintained. Furniture was old and covered in rugs or grotty animal skins. Grass was long in the lawns, which show lack of care for the property. Would not stay there again or recommend it to my friends.
- David (10/5): Exceptional - Nicely furnished cottage. Conveniently located close to town
- Amber (9/5): Superb - A very cute apartment, very well situated and thoughtfully designed. It had everything we needed.
- Rory (9/5): Superb -
