- GOWHAR (10/5): Yet another fabulous stay... This has become my favorite place to stay now... -
- Bernard (8/5): Quiet room in Sturry. Ideal for Canterbury - The house is close to a bus stop, only one stop from the rail station. Or walk up the hill.
Very quiet area. Getting in. Which was my fault. You have to input the code that you get with your confirmation. Which I lost.
No other problems. Would stay again.
- Anthony (9/5): - Friendly host
- Aileen (3/5): very dissapointing - nothing there was no one to greet you never saw owner.
no locks on bedroom doors. mould in bathroom. floor sinking in kitchen in front of sink.
hole in ceiling in twin room. also ceiling neededrepair above airing cupboard in twin room.

- Danielle (8/5): Cheap, comfortable & cheerful! - Great value for money, bed was really comfortable. In a quiet location There needs to be a light above, the Keypad (lock box) to obtain the keys. It’s near impossible to do it in the dark. I did this as my phone, but then I need both hands to open the box, so was awkward.
There needs to be locks on the bedroom doors.
As a female traveling on my own I felt a little uncomfortable.
- Laura (1/5): Only if you don’t find anything cheaper, or really need to go in that area, otherwise I would not recommend it - The property was extremely dirty, smelly. Kitchen and living room doors open provided an untidy view of the facility. The bathroom had filth built up in the shower, deteriorated and cracked floor, dirty towels. Objects of the owner lying around, nowhere to lay personal beauty case and things. A small table mirror on the windowsill. The owner arrived at 2a.m. without notice, lit up the lights and talked on the phone. Before she went to bed it took some time. Luckily we didn’t meet her the morning she left, as she stayed in her room.
- Simon (6/5): Annoying - Parking was on street, and highly competitive!
We did not feel welcome, so left as soon as we could.
There is another property with the same name, nearby but annoyingly distant, and our map directed us there at first.
- Arianne (8/5): A comfortable, quiet stay. - Rosemary was very kind, warm and quiet. I found the room and facilities comfortable and there was plenty of parking in the area.
- Kelly (7/5): Lovely lady who owns the property - everything was fine for my trip - The property was very clean
- Jill (4/5): Disappointing - The bed was fairly comfy the garden looked nice The dirty kitchen and clutter everywhere. Dirty bathroom and bedding in single room
- Joanna (10/5): A warm and homely place to stay with a delightful host. An excellent experience. - The beds were comfortable and the place very clean. The bathroom and toilet were shared with our host, Rosemary, but we hardly saw her. She is delightful and so warm and welcoming. The place felt very homely and relaxing. We had difficulty with the entry code at the beginning and instructions were not clear so I knocked and Rosemary settled us in. Otherwise all was fine.
- Alexander (8/5): Very good - Where I needed it to be. Clean enough. It's a little room with a bed in it. That's all. The bloodstain on the duvet cover would have weirded lots of people out. I could tell it was old and probably from an ingrown toenail or something innocuous.
- Del (8/5): Lovely place, nice host, handy for the station only 6 minute train ride into Canterbury - Lovely and clean Nothing
- Nigel (3/5): very small room someones house. No locks, 1 remote shared bathroom, no cupboard. Boiler noise in roo -
- Gowhar (10/5): Exceptional -
- Richard (10/5): Wonderful room ,house and facilities . - I booked it on booking.com and typed in the address of friends house and wanted hotels near by this came up as 0.4 mile from my friends but turned out to be 21 miles away , obviously this is not the hotels fault but something wrong with booking.com site .
- Ahmed (9/5): Superb -
- Luca (9/5): Apart from the initial difficulties, I had a very good time and would definitely book a room again. - The owner rents out a single and a double bed room which are located on the second floor. I stayed in the double bed room. The beds were very comfortable and everything was clean and tidy. The house is located in a quiet residential area, 10 minutes away from the train station on foot. Canterbury was a short 4-minute train ride away. The host answered my questions fairly quickly. - It is not possible to lock the bedroom doors.
- During my two-night-stay, I never met the host in person and was given only minimal information. Upon arrival, I had to look for my room as well as the Wi-Fi password myself. A bit more information beforehand would have been helpful.
- You do not get your own key and instead have to go get the spare key in the lockbox in the backyard every time you want to enter or leave the house. That turned out to be a bit of a hassle.
- Robert (8/5): Very good - Worthy
- Vytenis (8/5): Very good -
- Ruth (10/5): Excellent - The location was fine and also the bedding was clean. Everything was ok with me.
- Jim (8/5): My hostess was friendly & helpful. - No breakfast - it was self-catering. For location, see below. It was quite close to the main road from Canterbury to Herne Bay, but it was about half-a-mile up a hill from Sturry rail station, which was significant because I didn't have my own transport.
- Williams (1/5): Bad -
- Olumide (9/5): Superb -
- Pinky (7/5): Cosy, homey and friendly staff. - I liked the friendliness of the lady that runs it, Ms. Rosemary Ndlovu.
She was so courteous and helpful, it increased my comfort at the place. I had booked the single bedroom unit, and it was small (as can be expected).
This hampered my comfort, but it was quaint and warm, just what I needed.
- Pauline (7/5): Sturry housr - Bed comfy, room really clean Had to wait for young lady to have her shower.
Wasnt told where bathroom was
Wasnt sure if we could make a cuppa
We presume lady we met was owner, didnt say too much, just got key for us.
In person personnal home. Felt quite werid
- Melvina (7/5): It was good enough for what I wanted and paid for - Nice location and house. Nice and friendly host. Flexibility with check out time. A bit more cleaning to certain areas in the house
- Adrian (10/5): Peacful, which after getting my daughter into Uni, was perfect - Clean and very presented Open house, very relaxed and informal
- Abby (8/5): I enjoyed my monthlong stay. The host is super helpful and pleasant. - Very quiet and located in a nice neighborhood. Great kitchen and shower!
- Sajjad (6/5): Pleasant -
- Robert (9/5): We needed accommodation for the night before cycling event. The room was clean and spacious. The owner very welcoming an - Clean and welcoming No on suite bathroom
- Shraddha (4/5): Disappointing - Bathroom
- Alan (3/5): Poor -
- Steven (7/5): Rosemary very obliging -
- Isse (9/5): Superb -
- Cool (6/5): Pleasant - It was clean, they provide every facilities. Location is very far from city center. And for one person 39 pound is expensive, because, it's very far from city center. There are many other option near city in this price. If they less the rent then then can attract more people to their accomodation.
- Taylor (6/5): Pleasant - Functional room, bathroom etc. Noise from the couple next door that I really did not wish to hear.
- Charlie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ralph (10/5): Happy if travelling pass will stay again - Happy with service and room Parking
- Zheng (1/5): Bad - The property's hygiene is very poor, and the indoor temperature doesn't exceed 16°C. The place is both dirty and cold, with the bedding emitting unpleasant odors. Additionally, the landlord refused to turn on the heating at night, forcing the child to sleep in clothes, enduring a night that was the most dreadful of our entire trip to the UK.
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional - Friendly
- Martin (7/5): Good - It was convenient a bit impersonal but efficient
- Ian (7/5): Good -
- David (10/5): Exceptional - Warm welcome, very clean, home from home
- Christopher (3/5): Poor -
- Ebony (6/5): Good for work - Regular house, host also lives in property small single room and shared bathroom and kitchen facilities. Close to my place of work and didn’t spend much time in the property except for at night. It wasn’t super clean, my room had scuff marks on the walls, cobwebs in corners and the mirror in the room was visibly broken.
- Steve (5/5): Passable -
- Gary (8/5): Very good -
- Janae (10/5): Exceptional -
- Scotty (8/5): Very good - Very comfortable room with friendly manager onsite. Acess to all facilities and use of kitchen was great. Internet was good and location to shops and transport to other areas in region was easy to get to. I have nothing to complain about or didn't like. Happy to book again if staying in area again.
- William (10/5): Exceptional -
- Fiona (10/5): A Lovely Clean house with a nice friendly hostess - EVERYTHING - A beautiful house, lovely and clean and very comfy, hostess very friendly lady, lovely to talk with.
The hostess had her family staying with her too, just for the past week and they were all very lovely too. I really enjoyed my stay and was made most welcome. Near to railway and buses to Canterbury and Ramsgate. I was made very welcome and would stay again 100% Absolutely nothing, I found nothing to dislike. I felt for the hostess though through NO FAULT of her own but the errors of Booking.com who double booked my room for the whole time I was there and sadly the hostess had to turn other people away. This needs sorting out BOOKING.COM and I hope this lovely lady received no bad reviews because of this.
- Ian (5/5): Passable -
- Nigel (1/5): The property is disgusting and the house itself is not fit for purpose as a b&b. - Generally property is unkempt and dirty. Host was avoiding contact seemed there was a family living with her in her bedroom which made me feel uncomfortable. No facilities where offered.
- Griffiths (10/5): Exceptional - Visit twice over two weeks. Lovely property, quiet, relaxed and comfy.
- Anonymous (5/5): Gentle suburban road which should not have graduated from air b&b. - Very good host indeed.
Clean room and bathroom facilities which are downstairs. Despite not having any real complaints. This is for air b&b not booking.com in my opinion.
- Adrian (7/5): Good -
- Jeff (6/5): It was nice - Enjoyable stay - bed was comfy, good shower and clean house. Only downside no breakfast supplied. In fact no one there in the morning, no food laid out for breakfast or tea/coffee.
- Emily (4/5): Disappointing -
- Karim (10/5): Exceptional -
- Olakunle (9/5): Superb -
- Peter (8/5): Very good -
- Lida (3/5): Poor - There was no breakfast All, the bedroomdoor can not close, we had no key for the room , alwaysvopen, there was no cast for the clothes the bathroom was downstairs, the price was to high for what we get
- Anonymous (4/5): basic, not friendly, horrible - nothing
- Niamh (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anne (10/5): i slept very well in the single room - Location and cost were the reason i chose it well, I would’ve liked a little welcome guide to let me know what i could use - but i leant after Rosemary arrived that she provides tea, coffee, & milk.
- Jalloh (10/5): Exceptional - excellent place Non
- Ola (9/5): Superb -

- Lehanne (4/5): Disappointing - Lady very welcoming Room small, no lock on door, shared kitchen bathroom.

- Ewomazino (4/5): For the six nights stay the heater did not come on for 1 minute. I was awfully cold at night. - It was a serene neighborhood. For the six nights stay the heater did not come on for 1 minute. I was awfully cold at night.
- John (7/5): Good -
- Patrick (10/5): Exceptional -
- Matthias (8/5): A good location for sightseeing Canterbury and stopover (Dover) to reach Continent - The rooms are clean, the beds are white, clean and comfortable. The host was welcomed us. The house is situated in a calm residential area in a small village near Canterbury. The host was helpful in question concerning a toll-bridge. Thanks. Rather everything was good. Only drop of bitterness was, that it is a little bit far from Canterbury, so that we decided to take the bus. The rooms should be lockable.
- Chilo (1/5): Bad - Hospitality I lost a charger.
- William (7/5): as always value for the price we paid - NO FOOD SAD TO SAY WAS TOLD WE COULD USE THE KITCHEN IF WE NEEDED BUT WE WHERE JUST LEAVING AT THE TIME WE WERE TOLD. THE LADY IN THE HOUSE WAS VERY NICE . THE BEDROOM WAS VERY SMALL NO ROOM TO MOVE AND THE LOO WAS DOWN STAIRES NO DRINKING TEA OR COFFEE IN THE ROOM. BUT IT WAS A VERY NICE SLEEP OVER AND THE BEDS WERE VERY NICE TOO.
