Guest Reviews
- Elena (10/5): - Perfect pentru o vacanta de neuitat
- Marlene (9/5): Foi bom conhecemos a cidade muito linda - Localização Os aquecedor não estava esquentando a casa sétimos muito frio
- Andy (3/5): Disappointing and poor value. - The rooms were quite large and spacious. The property was unclean throughout and the main bed mattress very thin and uncomfortable.
The photos are misleading .
- Wendy (5/5): An honest review on a house that can easily improve - The house was in a great location parking couldn't have been easier and it was great having an outside seating area. The house was quirky and we really enjoyed our stay thank you guys The house seemed a bit of a mish mash with the wrong number of mats, mugs, etc .There should be enough for as many guests the house takes The mattress in the middle bedroom was very poor and needs replacing as do a lot of the pillows .The ones in the drawer on the top floor need binning. The top floor had no bedside lamps .The shower also needs modernising. This place could be fab with a few hundred pounds spending on it
- Helen (5/5): You get what you pay for. We left it cleaner than we found it, but its cheap for the size. - The location for Chester centre is excellent. The location is close to the train and bus station, and there is safe, off-road parking next to the property. Spacious rooms and good free Wifi. It was definitely 'cheap and cheerful' for the space offered. It would be excellent for someone with dogs, as the courtyard garden is fully enclosed. The property requires a deep clean. It's obviously been used as an HMO (Student accommodation?). There are stains on the walls and carpets. We found dusty socks, a vape behind the sofa cushions and bins with tissues in. We definitely didn't use any of the glasses or mugs without a good wash first, and bought our own cleaning wipes and spray for the surfaces. It would take someone a couple of hours to 'update' some of the issues. The bathroom light cord is filthy, and wardrobes are missing handles, meaning that you can't open them. Window catches are broken, meaning that you can't open/close them correctly, and the property smells musty. Reading back through previous reviews, these are not new issues, so it's unclear as to why they haven't been addressed.
- DeWitt (6/5): We enjoyed our stay. It was comfortable, easy access to downtown, strong internet. - Having stayed there before I knew what to expect. This is a very basic, utilitarian place but the location is excellent and the hosts are top notch. Any issue you might have will be immediately addressed. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen has everything you could need. But the hosts are wonderful. And the internet was strong. Small issues: for instance, two people staying 5 days were left only 5 coffee pods. In the past, there was always a welcoming box of cookies; now nothing. No laundry detergent.
- Heather1986 (10/5): - The house was in an amazing location. Fully equipped with everything we needed. Comfortable beds travel cot for the baby. Large spacious bedrooms. There is no parking outside the house. We used the long stay carpark down the road. It was cheaper than the carpark over the road. A lamp in every room would have been a useful touch.
- Yvonne (3/5): - Location The property only decent room kitchen
- Edward (1/5): Dirty smelly house - Nothing We have station a lot of lovely places in Chester .this house was the worst! Dirty is not the word!! Horrible smells ln the living room! Front bedroom loft room! Base of the bed was disguising! And the bathroom is horrible! Outside space was awful weeds overgrown! Dirty old furniture! Nothing like the pictures proton line!!

- Scott (3/5): Needs a very very good clean as well as new carpets and walls having their plaster painted - Location The place was not clean, there were stains and frayed carpets. Blood stains on the front door near the lock and hair food, plasters and finger nails at various places in the house. The place had clearly not been cleaned for a considerable time. It was an ex hmo with one of the rooms inaccessible (not sure if anyone was in there or not). Overall I will not be staying again.
- Karen (7/5): Nice place but needs a little more attention to cleaning. - Location was great for what we needed. 5 minute walk from Chester Station.
Property was a great size and allowed us all to have a double bedroom each.Beds were comfortable and clean. Bathroom was clean (which is a big issue for me if it's not) but maybe a little dated.
The host answers messages almost immediately and is lovely. One of the main issues for us is the stairs. Myself and my daughter have slight mobility issues so the stairs were a bit much for us.
I think the property would benefit from a little more attention to detail and a little paint touch up here and there.
Some plaster that must have fell off the wall near the TV was still lying in the floor, it should have been removed.
Some bits could definitely be cleaner, especially in the kitchen. The hob would benefit from a hob scraper and a little pink stuff. A clean of the walls at the cooker would be good as well as there were greasy marks on it.
Drawers in one of the rooms smelled quite musty.
- Eden (7/5): Good - Good location close to the station. Spacious bedrooms! Comfortable beds, property nice and clean. Property suffers from a bit of a musty smell, and it was tricky to get hot water from the bath.
- Jonathan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Louise (8/5): Great location, great stay for a girls weekend - Great location and good value for money Outdoor space could be tidied up and needs table that seats 6
- Brian (9/5): Superb -
- Katie (8/5): Very good -
- Kez (10/5): Exceptional -
- Carole (8/5): Well located, spacious and well equipped self catering accommodation close to Chester city centre - A clean and spacious property which was a good base for exploring Chester. Only a short walk to the city walls and city centre. An excellent restaurant just up the road, and a convenience store just one street away. Reasonably priced car park across the road. Complementary tea, coffee and milk provided on arrival. Complimentary toiletries in the bathroom. Plenty of pillows. Nice fast WiFi Not too much of a problem for us, but the staircases were quite steep. A grab rail over the bath would have been helpful for us as "older guests". A teapot and a cafetiere in the kitchen would have been nice additions.
The terrace at the back looked nice and we probably would have used it if we had better weather, but it could have done with a weeding.
- Bec (9/5): Lovely spacious bedrooms. Good location. - The location was perfect Had to park in nearby car park rather than outside. Wasn’t too far although had to pay for this.
- Sarah (8/5): Very good -
- Mohammed (8/5): Very good - Location was excellent and closed to the city center
- Alexis (4/5): Grubby shabby - Location and parking were great Dirty through, the windows in the attic bedroom didn’t shut properly so it was noisy. The property was in a bad state of repairs . And grubby through out . Only had 2 2 seater sofas for house that sleeps 6
- Emma (9/5): Short break - Great location to city centre, 10 mins walk.
Parking available, opposite house cheap parking.
5 mins away was a street with plenty of food outlets great if you fancy a takeaway one evening Not a huge issue but for 2 people staying, 1 toilet roll wasn't sufficient for a couple of days. A little trip to Tesco extra rectified that.
Someone had put the recycling box at front and people had thrown take away boxes in there with food in.
The box wasn't emptied all weekend.
- Lindsay (9/5): Superb -
- John (9/5): A good base for Chester - Warm and handy for the city centre, rail and bus stations.
- Pauline (8/5): Nice stay just a couple of issues but if sorted would recommend - The property was ideal for our 3 day stay for Chester Xmas shopping trip. Nice little touches biscuits, crisp tea bags coffee all complimentary. Close to station and bus garage and Chester town centre. Issues with the heating especially in the attic which was freezing but I emailed the agent who responded quickly and the landlord offered to come and rectify it. They need to explain how the heating works in the manual so you can adjust it to suit you. Also disappointed in the toilet paper as there was only 2 rolls for 3 people for the 3 days we were there!!!!
- Julie (9/5): Superb - Location to city centre. Reasonable price for 2 nights stay. Good communication with home owners. Easy check in and out. Perfect for Christmas markets and city centre. Guidebook with helpful details for food and drink and places to go.
- Emma (8/5): Very good - Close to city centre, very well equipped everything you could need, parking opposite the house was good Attic room, window could do with replacing, quite drafty and could hear all the road noise
- Dewitt (8/5): This place met every need for us. We truly enjoyed our stay there. - There was no food provided as this was not a bed and breakfast. The location was superb. Everything was within easy walking distance and easy access to roads. I felt the carpet needed shampooing.
- Bradley (9/5): Superb - Great location near Chester City Centre, very comfy beds and overall accommodation, nice and clean, bedrooms were spacious and had plenty of storage. Only minor complaint is the hosts sent a lot of messages/emails over the course of the stay!
- Syed (9/5): The host was very responsive and very accommodating to our request. Its a lovely place for big group like us. We love tr - Its a very spacious space and nice room. Conveniently located near the train station & only 15mins walking distance to town. Well equipped property with luxury bath towels. Water pressure is superb too! During summer, it may get quite hot because no fan is provided. Letting the window open for cool air might invite noises from the street as it is very close to main street.
- Richard (8/5): Very enjoyable - Superb location to explore historic Chester. A short walk from the station and into the city. A quirky house with 3 double beds Generally a lovely property but the decor looks a bit tired. Although generally very clean could really do with a good revamp. The bathroom tile grout has signs of mould and in a few places were loose tiles. Road out side window a bit noisy but didn’t disturb us in the night.
- Todorov (10/5): Perfect experience, will come back again. - The transportation is convenient, and there is a large parking lot next to it. The facilities in the room are complete.
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paul (8/5): We had a really enjoyable stay, and would definately stay again. - The gift basket on arrival is a lovely touch and the house, which has 3 large bedrooms, is close to the railway station, bus station and the city centre.
