- Sam (10/5): Beautiful location for a short break - Lovely location, well fitted with everything we needed. Cosy.

- Paul (9/5): Beautiful location and property would fully recommend a visit, especially if you like hill walks - The property was very clean and today. Everything that you would need was there for you, from shower gel to biscuits.
The location was stunning and within a close distance to both Matlock and Ashbourne Nothing to dislike, this is a loft cottage in a historic village. The road past the property was very narrow, our Ford Puma got through, just.
- Libby (8/5): -
- Kath (8/5): Lovely stay in a lovely village. The owner has gone to a lot of effort to make the place comfortable and welcoming. - It was compact but very well appointed. The stairs were a bit narrow but manageable.
- Simon (8/5): - Unfortunately the cottage was double booked so didn't get-to enjoy the cottage.
- Myra (10/5): - Everything, the facilities were good and it was good having cleaning products in the kitchen and bathroom. There were two pubs in the village, one cafe which was nice and also the church offered drinks and food. The local walks were lovely. Nothing. However felt a little nervous of the staircase, but got used to it with it being narrow and made of wood.
- Lucy (10/5): Perfect stay for switching off and relaxing - Fantastic location for walks to Matlock and surrounding areas. The Loft Cottage has everything you need and the history of the cottage and village is amazing

- Peter (10/5): If you are looking to stay at loft cottage, book it, you won’t regret it. - We had a great couple of days at loft cottage. A perfect cosy place to stay for a few nights. Got everything you needed. Set in the pretty Peak District village of Bonsall. Great walk to Matlock from the doorstep. 15 minute walk through the village to a friendly pub called the Barley Mo, serving tasty pub food. Nothing
- Rachel (10/5): - The Loft is a lovely, thoughtfully furnished and decorated place to stay. It is very cosy and had everything we needed for our weekend in The Peak District. As mentioned in other reviews the parking is tight, but we have a smallish car and we managed.
- Tim (9/5): - Property was finished to a high standard with a very comfy bed! Lots of nice little touches too. The sofa wasn't to the same standard as the rest.
Should also note that any 'larger' individuals might find the stairs a bit tight!
- Dobson (10/5): - The cottage was set up very well everything that you could need it had . Nothing
- Tim (8/5): Wonderful location, ideal getaway from it all and excellent value for what you get. - I loved the location, peaceful, very quiet, nice views. The accommodation was very clean and the facilities were great, just what you wanted for a short stay. It was ideal for my wife and I to relax for a while. Unfortunately the only thing that let it down for us was the mattress on the bed and the roll together. Both my wife and I didn’t sleep very well over the three nights however, this didn’t spoil our break at all and we would stay here again.
- lesley (10/5): - Lovely cosy little cottage. Directions and facilities well described and as described . Everything you needed. Perfect location for what we needed as we were visiting Chatsworth Show. Even had sky TV which was a bonus and excellent WI-FI signal.
Excellent pub 10 minutes walk from cottage, the Barley Mow, so good we went there and ate two evening in a row, the village were really welcoming. Landlady and landlord were absolutely amazing. Nothing
- Andrew (8/5): We liked the cottage and would stay there again. - Location Was not informed of the strict check-in time. This was not a problem as the weather was good. Had the check-in time rules been communicated in advance we would have abided by this.
TV operating system was extremely, and I do mean extremely difficult to use. In the end we just gave up trying.
- Sonia (10/5): - Absolutely beautiful cottage Everything was perfect
- rebecca (10/5): - Absolutely loved this place. So many facilities did not need to bring anything. Loved the biscuits on arrival was so lovely 🤩 Was bit difficult with parking but we sorted with aid of owner whom directed us in so don't like to comment as was actually sorted x in
- Hunter (10/5): Everything thing you need - Ideally situated for a visit to Bonsall and the walking trails in the area, the outdoor area is a really pleasant sun trap.
- Tracey (10/5): Had a lovely stay everything we needed very clean . Had all essentials and even a small jug of milk on arrival. - The property was lovely and clean and very cosy
- Ivory (9/5): Worth the drive - Everything was amazing. It was a little hard to find at first but we got there with the help of a local and the host. We were able to bring our kitten, which was a relief. The photos of the terrace look completely closed off and private but it wasn't. Although we weren't bothered, it was still close to another house and their windows and the main house could overlook the garden too. Made us feel we had to be extra quiet. But it was a lovely spot and lovely view. Again, we weren't bothered/interrupted, so that was nice.
- Teresa (8/5): Ideal location, had everything we needed for a short stay - Stayed for two nights. Had everything we needed in a great location, loved having outside patio table & chairs, bonsal is one of our favourite places to stay Both found sofa uncomfortable
- Bruce (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent little accommodation with everything you want, Nice and quiet location. Nothing
- Steve (8/5): Nice small place to stay, clean and convenient -
- Ela (10/5): What a great place to stay for couple - Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5)
We had a lovely stay at Cozey Cottage in Bonsall. The cottage is compact but very comfortable and thoughtfully laid out. It was well-equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing break. The surroundings are absolutely beautiful — peaceful, scenic, and perfect for walks or simply unwinding. A real gem for anyone looking for a quiet countryside escape. Would definitely recommend and happily return! Na
- Freya (10/5): Perfect cottage and walking weekend - Historic cottage, had everything we needed, lovely terrace, warm and comfortable, short walk to the pub. I should have read the instructions better and realized there was a parking space ever so slightly further away. The one in front of the house was very tricky to exit. A lot of stress that could have been avoided if I had read the very clear instructions
- Karen (9/5): Property was a little difficult to locate in the village. Once found very pleased with it. Had a nice walk around the vi - Loft cottage is in a beautiful location.
- Pepper (8/5): Very good - The little cottage was lovely, comfy bed and clean, parking is super tight, small cars only. The village has recently lost it's local shop, so bring essentials. Local pubs are great, hosts are lovely.
- Snaylataben (9/5): Superb -
- Gary (9/5): Great weekend stay - Very well presented property that is ideal size for a short stay, located in a very nice village.
All the amenities you will need are provided & the eggs, milk and biscuits were a really nice touch.
Good local pub for food and drinks very nearby.
Great location for exploring the area for walks and taking in the local sights.
Would definitely recommend a stay here. Nothing from us.
The road to the property is rather narrow if you do have a larger car.
- Karen (10/5): Relaxing place lovely scenery, cute rooftop where you can sit and have a drink - Quaint property really lovely Nothing
- Cody (10/5): Exceptional - We liked the care taken making us feel comfortable, a book filled with information and facts about the local area was a lovely touch. There was a box of cookies and love heart chocolates as it was valentines. The extra blankets and hair dryer were a thoughtful addition. The communication between us and the owner was wonderful. Nothing.
- Fiona (9/5): Short one night stay in a delightful village. - Very clean and well equipped. Quirky. Extremely comfortable bed and a good shower. Difficult to find in the dark. I couldn’t fathom out the television; the only option I found was to purchase Netflix films.
