Guest Reviews
- Damon (10/5): -
- David (10/5): Accommodation Burgh Castle , Norfolk - Accommodation was clean , tidy and perfect for what we wanted. Lovely view over the Norfolk Broads . We even had Deer come through in the early evening. Accommodation was perfect for us so can't complain.
- kathryn (10/5): Immaculate and cosy chalet - Beautiful little chalet and immaculate throughout . Little extras like tea and coffee was a nice touch and lovely towels. I have no complaints
- Chloe (9/5): -
- michael (10/5): Weekday getaway - The chalet had absolutely everything we needed and was spotless. The kids liked the outside area No facilities on site I.e pub or clubhouse, restaurant
- glenn (10/5): -
- Susan (10/5): Peaceful , pristine and perfect - Very clean and everything you might need including washing liquid , cloth and tea towel . It was a quiet setting just what we wanted . Nothing. It was perfect.
- Jenny (9/5): Lovely short break. - Chalet was very well presented.
Location was quiet.
Would book again. Quite a walk from the car park.
The pub/restaurant in the attached caravan park was not open, so there was limited very local opportunity to eat out.
- Colin (10/5): First Class Chalet - The chalet was immaculate, nicely decorated with a beach theme throughout. The bedroom was cosy, the bed was very comfortable, with a built-in wardrobe. The kitchen area was very modern and clean, with everything you would need for a holiday. The bathroom was spotless with a great shower cubicle. The living area was spacious and comfortable. There is a tv in each room, if you need that sort of thing and the Wi-Fi was excellent. The chalet is set at the back of the holiday village, close to the river with a grass area and hedge between them, it was very peaceful. It is about 300 metres from the car park and a baggage trolley is provided at the chalet to help you with your bags. The host, Amanda was very helpful in all her communications with us and this property is a credit to her. We would definitely visit again. Nothing to dislike
- Eileen (9/5): Seaside themed chalet - Lovely and clean and well equiped chalet. Great decor and the beds were super comfy. Host directions were spot on. Nice touch with the decking Nothing negative to say.
- Ian (10/5): Exceptional - It was an amazing weekend away for my wife's 40th Birthday. Really peaceful location and the chalet was perfect. Would definitely return again.
- Susan (9/5): Peaceful and relaxing a great place to recharge your batteries! - Lovely location although a bit off the beaten track. Saying which it was lovely and peaceful and so relaxing with some lovely pubs nearby, no shops though so make sure you bring food etc if you intend cooking. People were really friendly and helpful. The accommodation was clean, bright and airy and had everything we needed. Especially the tea, coffee and sugar that was provided. Car parking. You cannot get near the chalet with a car and you do have somewhat of a long walk from the car park. Unfortunately I did not check this before book and as both I and my friend have mobility problems and need to use walking aids we did find this a problem. Shame as chalet etc was exactly what we wanted. https://www.amazon.co.uk/photos/all/gallery/sZr_s94VR0uwTXhg0h6sLA
- Adam (10/5): Really fun packed days out everything is close by and had a amazing time with the family - I really loved the property had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable a lovely terrace to chill on after exploring and visiting family, beds were comfortable shower was nice, big green out front for youngest to run around on, neighbours were friendly and it’s nice and peaceful lots of wildlife i.e birds, a good home base to explore Great Yarmouth, we went to Gorlestone beach which is beautiful sea is cold but worth a swim, redwings horse sanctuary is worth a visit if you love horses and it’s free also horsey gap beach to see the seals, followed by banham zoo which is abit further away but well worth a visit as it has tigers, snow leopards, cheetah, meerkats and a sloth and many more animals really fun for kids safe to say the youngest had a great birthday at this property and days out, I can honestly say I can’t fault it and I would stay again
- Katrina (10/5): This was booked as quick get away OMG it was a Perfect little retreat. - Perfect
Lovely neighbours
Had everything needed for a few days away.
Able to have breakfast on the balcony with beautiful scenery. No hover to use
- Rob (10/5): Exceptional - Gorgeous little place have already booked to return in September also stayed here last year and it's still perfect and our host Amanda is a very lovely lady only to pleased to help
- Robin (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean and comfortable
- Aimee (9/5): Superb - Well presented, perfect spot to visit. Owners were lovely and easy to communicate with. Also gives perfect sunset views in the evening!
- Tracey (10/5): Exceptional -
- Karen (10/5): Relaxing, calm and friendly host, will definitely book again! - Absolute gem of a find. Loved this accommodation. Clean and decorated lovely, everything you need in it to be comfortable. Veranda was perfect, sitting overlooking green and fields. Fabulous walks within minutes. The owner corresponded very well. Thank you Nothing to dislike
- Rachael (10/5): Peace and Tranquility - It was beautifully decorated and in such a quiet position facing the river Waveney although mostly obscured by hedgerows. However a short walk to river and pub and sunset views. The property had absolutely everything you could possibly need I could happily live there. Dark skies at night sitting on decking fabulous view of stars and timed just right to see ISS. Didn’t dislike anything about the property itself for me it was perfect, peace and quiet. The only complaint I have and it’s not the properties fault but if only the hedge was lower.
- Tracey (10/5): Exceptional - Loved the location and the chalet was very clean and modern.
We had a lovely stay we definitely will book again such a beautiful peaceful stay.. Nothing
- Wright (10/5): Lovely short stay - The space was great. Comfy and cosy. Perfect for the two of us and our small dog.
- Lisa (10/5): Exceptional - Very modern all mod cons, lovely location
- Sharon (10/5): A lovely holiday home - There was very little not to like about the property! Well equipped, lovely furnishings, excellent WiFi and central location for all our needs. Accessibility was a little of an issue as you cannot park the car near to the property and it is a bit of a walk from the car park so may be worth thinking about this for people with limited mobility. Also no smoking is allowed even on the seated decking area but again this was not an issue as my parents were able to sit on the pathway which was little used.
- Matthew (10/5): Excellent value - Really nice chalet. Well furnished, lovely location. Beds were soft for my liking but other member so the party liked them.
- Heather (8/5): Very good -
- Geoff (8/5): Very good - The relaxing surroundings
- Alan (10/5): Perfect dog friendly chalet - Lovely little place , small but totally adequate. Nice & quiet, perfect for my dog Charlie and me! The owner was super friendly and was extremely helpful and generous when I had a unexpected hiccup!! Bit of a walk from the car park but not by any means too far!
- Terry (10/5): we would return anytime. - Amazing Stay. Nothing very good al round .
- Dawn (10/5): Excellent property to relax - Beautiful quiet clean
- Kevin (8/5): Very good -
- Sally (9/5): Superb - Lovely property and very comfortable. I wasn't as keen on the site although it was very quiet
- Nicola (9/5): Superb - Very well equipped
- David (10/5): Exceptional - Great communication from Amanda from the start.
The chalet was spotless and had everything you need.
The location was nice and quiet
- Lisette (10/5): We loved it. Thanks so much! - All round amazing. Lovely little walk round the back to a pub, which isn’t amazing on the inside but the deck on the outside is an absolute gem! The chalet was so private and was comfortable, mega clean and had everything we needed. A sofa would have been more comfortable but we sat outside so wasn’t a problem for us.
- Kelly (10/5): Burgh castle - Communication was excellent from the host, as she was not going to be there gave us all the information we needed. Was very clean, lovely location and perfect for getting into Yarmouth. That we couldnt stay any longer. There was absolutely nothing not to like about this place. It was just perfect.
- Rachel (9/5): We had an excellent stay with our lab on her first holiday what a lovely welcoming experience - Dog friendly and it really was beautiful walks a lovely little pub close by.
The owner was very kind and sent information through approachable settled me knowing I could ask questions about the area.
Clean
People around friendly
Excellent area of the site looks out on to grass not over looked.
Area felt safe
And a shower that you can move so you feel nice and clean.
There was finishing touch’s with milk coffee tea sugar. Cleaning products if needed.
- Geoff (9/5): Delightful. - Very clean and up-to-date.
Fresh milk, tea, coffee etc provided.
Very quiet and private. Parking only a short walk.
Dark skies.
Very good comms with the host Amanda. Observations rather than dislikes but possibly useful to note.
We could see beforehand that the rooms were of a given size, fine for one night but might be a squeeze for a longer stay or larger group.
Towels not provided as it was a one-night stay.
As is common with rentals, no dishwasher, washing machine, or dryer.
Could perhaps do with parlour games, books etc to help pass rainy days.
- Eric (8/5): We were visiting friends so it was ideal for us - Everything you could want was provided The property was a fair way from the car park especially as it rained. However there was a trolly
- Liam (10/5): Absolutely amazing! I wanted to live here! Defo staying again and couldn’t recommend more - Spacious, clean, modern, comfortable and home feeling Ring door bell on decking
- Rob (9/5): Superb - Gorgeous little place definitely coming back for longer stay so much to do and see
- Ankrett (10/5): Exceptional - A lovely clean spacious chalet with the added bonus of being a sun trap, it was lively to be able to leave the patio door open and let our dog enjoy lying in the sun while we relaxed. We only stayed for a night to get a feel for G Yarmouth with view to booking a longer stay unfortunately there was lack of old fashioned sea side atmosphere and even on a glorious sunny evening little going on in the town this is the only reason we would not return as we could not fault the accommodation or Amanda's communication prior to our stay.
- Linda (10/5): Exceptional -
- Angela (9/5): Excellent would stay again - Everything was excellent You can't park outside the property. When you first arrive the park is a bit odd people live there. However its lovely and the people are friendly, its just the first impression.
- Georgina (8/5): Very good -
- Donna (10/5): lovely stay for the 2 of us - lovely chalet. lovely views. inside was immaculate and clean and smelt lovely. I'd asked the owner to decorate for me as was my partners 40th and she did a fabulous job. the walk from the carpark was a pain but everything else perfect
- Reece (9/5): Lovely bank holiday night away - Looks great from the outside and the inside is light airy and bright, aswell as modern! Love the decking area especially for small dogs and children Windows were all open which was great but quite a few cobwebs in the corners of windows etc. but that doesn’t bother me too much as would prefer a cool and airy accommodation anyday
- Dan (10/5): Awesome stay! - Wonderful communication from the start, very quiet chalet and perfect for our needs. We would definitely book again. Nothing
- Luck (10/5): Exceptional - Decor was very nice and easy to maintain.
- Niquita (9/5): Great! - Beautuful, lovely holiday theme but very homely. Thank you for being so accommodating Amanda. :) Really appreciate it.
- Victoria (9/5): The property was lovely and very clean. - This property was so clean and it appeared newly refurbished. The fixtures and fittings were excellent. The communication from the owner was so helpful and friendly. We liked the feeling of privacy as it faced outwards from the other properties. We found the double bed a little uncomfy but not too bad.
- Niquita (10/5): Excellent accommodation and host. - Great place to stay. Thank you, Amanda, for being so accommodating during our stay at Burgh Castle. It was an amazing place that met all our needs and allowed us to have an exceptional experience in Norfolk. Lovely decor. Exceptional place and host. Would love to come back. N/A
- Rosie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tom (10/5): Lovely stay - Loved the decor & all the facilities. The sunset right opposite the chalet, wow. Quiet & peaceful. Great value for the price we paid. Not really a dislike but not being able to park near the chalet, & if you have lots to bring from the car it's a lot of trips. The hedges opposite the front of the chalet need cutting. As they are too high they restrict the views & sun setting.
- Chloe (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vanessa (8/5): Happy Times. - Shower was great. Nice quiet place to stay. Amanda was great, gave us information about a beach with seals which gave us an amazing experience as a family. Having to go home.
- Sharon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Amy (10/5): Exceptional - Clean and comfortable accommodation with lovely finishing touches in a great location. Amanda was friendly and helpful and shared some links to places to visit nearby.
- Danny (9/5): Superb -
- Amina (10/5): Amanda is AWESOME - Amanda was absolutely lovely. She was in contact with me before my scheduled stay. She met me at the holiday park and took me up to the lodge. She even offered to carry my bags.
There was a bit of a problem on my first full day. I contacted Amanda and she was very kind and understanding. She was not available to come to the lodge herself but sent her friend Claire round who was there within 10 minutes. Claire provided a temporary solution and fixed the problem straight away. She also arranged to come over first thing in the morning with a more permanent solution. Both Amanda and Claire were absolutely lovely - so very kind, pleasant and helpful.
The lodge is equipped with everything (and more ie. Alexa) you may need. I had an absolute fabulous break and will be sure to recommend to family and friends.
Thank you so very much. The speed humps in the holiday park did not do any favours to the suspension of my car.
- Andrew (10/5): Very comfortable - Really nicely done A little walk from car park
- Andrew (10/5): Great little place for a short stay. - Excellent location for us (walking distance to relatives). The host is super and very friendly they arranged to meet us and show us to the property personally. It’s cosy but was just fine for four of us for the two nights. Very well appointed and very clean. We would happily stay again. It’s a fair walk from the nearest car park which meant a few trips back and forth.
- Thomas (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (10/5): Exceptional - Only had time to stay one night but wished it could have been more. Amanda kindly met us to show us to the accomodation and was really friendly and quick to respond to texts. Loved the accomodation. Would definitely look to book again.
- Gundars (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rachel (10/5): Cosy , clean & quiet -
- Lucy (9/5): Comfortable, clean and a lovely warm welcome. - I loved the decor; it was really cosy but also fresh and modern. The chalet was spotlessly clean. The shower was excellent (always a bonus!) The double bed was a bit uncomfortable - singles were fine though.
- Adam (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean and new high quality finish. Owners very friendly and helpful!! Definitely would recommend staying. Only thing was a bit of a walk and not much lighting at night.
- Lee (10/5): Great place and really comfortable. Great owner friendly and very helpful - Complete refurb and to great extent Not applicable
- Russell-wingrove (10/5): Excellent value - Everything was perfect The weather lol 😂
- Gareth (10/5): Great host. Very clean - Amanda was very kind and informative Mattress was a bit too soft but that’s probably a personal thing.
- Brenda (10/5): Exceptional - It was absolutely spotless. Everything you was there that you needed Just wish found it sooner it would be lovely in the summer ⁰
- Melanie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hop (8/5): Good place for relaxing. - Helpful Host, convenience parking, silent, nice place Double rooms quite small, dust at the back of TV
- Joanne (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful location, lovely comfortable lodge.
- Trudi (10/5): Fabulous night away - Absolutely loved it ! Must be the best one on the site . Everything was spotless , thought of everything right down to hooks on the back of doors , tv in each room , full length mirrors plus all the kitchen appliances & a fabulous shower room . Loved the lights outside & the terrace . Nothing at all

- Anonymous (10/5): It was home away from home. - Very modern, decorated to a high standard, exceptionally clean& had all your needs covered. It was very light & spacious.
- Stevenkaz (8/5): Lovely chalet on a quiet site, we're already planning a return visit. - The property was clean, comfortable, and spacious. The host promptly replied to all check-in-related messages.. There are only a couple of downsides, neither the fault of the chalet owner.
Firstly the car park is a bit of a walk from the property (although there is a trolley available for luggage if needed).
Secondly, there isn't a store on this or the adjoining (Kingfisher) site, so a Google & trip out to a superstore is needed.
- Sarah (10/5): Gorgeous chalet - I could live there! - Everything! Highly recommended 😊 Nothing
- Anonymous (10/5): Lovely little place to stay - Clean, modern and everything you need. Close to the beach but far enough away to be peaceful. That we only stayed 2 nights!
- Colin (9/5): A Booking.com Gem - Compact, clean with everything a family needs. The chalet has everything perfectly organised and has been renovated to a high standard. The surrounding area is beautiful we all want to go back.

- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional - Loved everything! Clean & modern. Nothing! Would defo come back for the weekend as only stayed 1 night!
- Sarah (6/5): Property is lovey, and in a nice location. Ideal for families. There is a ring door bell so be aware that your movements - The property is very nice. Lots of space, clean and in a nice quiet location There are no faults with the property, however on the advertisement the owner should state that dogs are not allowed to be left alone in property at anytime, and not notify bookers the day before especially as it was a non refundable booking. This information needs to be given from the start so that when booking proper decision making can be done.
- Laura (10/5): Exceptional - Amanda was very friendly, kept us up to date on our visit, met us when we got there and took us to our very clean accommodation. Highly recommended to anyone wanting somewhere quiet and relaxing to stay.

The only down side is that it's tricky to find it at the first time, but the host did a good job to explain and even draw the map and came to meet us to show the exact location of the chalet as it is located in the caravan park.
