Guest Reviews
- Jade (10/5): Beautiful home with stunning views - Beautifully modern property, with everything you could need. Terry was a great host and was very generous with the welcome pack. She included hot cross buns, easter eggs for my daughter, wine and beers for us, fresh bread, Lurpack, crisps, cereals and more! Lots and lots of treats and goodies.
Cupboards were fully stocked with everything we needed; salt, pepper and vinegar, cooking oil, cleaning supplies, tea, coffee, sugar, milk. Even a little sewing kit in the cupboard!
Beds were really comfortable and smelt beautifully fresh.
The views from the property are lovely, you can see for miles on a sunny day.
The outside space is really private and has a nice seating area.
The property is electric gated which we particularly enjoyed as this provided us with security having a young child being close to the road.
Great location- 3/4 minute drive to Sainsbury’s, Aldi, McDonald’s and Home Bargains. Local pub within walking distance- food was really nice. 5 minute drive to Weston town and 20 min drive to Burnham on Sea. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again if revisiting the area. The only feedback we could give was that the hot tub was uncomfortably hot. Couldn’t really stay in for longer than 10 minutes without having to stand up or get out. We would take the lid off 20mins of so before getting in to try and drop the temp a bit which did help a little! Would be great if the temp could be dropped a bit! But this is personal preference.
It is worth noting the property has a lot of aeroplanes going over taking off/landing. This wasn’t a problem for us, my daughter liked to watch them, but may not be everyone’s cup of tea!
- Eirlys (10/5): Amazing Stay - Met by the host who was exceptional - very welcoming and puts you at ease straight away. The accommodation was amazing - it was above and beyond what we expected even though we had read all the previous reviews. The extras left by the host were amazing from wine, beers, crisps and snacks for our grandson. The quality of the furnishings and amenities were all top quality. Loved the hot tub and the outside area is so well kept with views over the Bristol Channel that take your breath away. Definitely want to return. Thank you Terry for making our stay so comfortable. Absolutely nothing
- Ian (10/5): Channel View - Absolutely immaculate property, well appointed with high-end appliances. The hot tub was a welcome bonus, too. Terry, the host, was lovely and could not have been more helpful Nothing
- Shaun (10/5): -
- Darren (10/5): - The location was perfect for a young family like ours. We all loved the views and use of the green behind the property. The welcome by Terry was fantastic and made us feel very welcome. She also gave us a generous welcome pack. I hope to stay at the channel view again. Nothing
- Samantha (10/5): Lovely stay, definitely recommend and would happily stay again. - Beautiful location, comfortable, clean and attention to detail was shown. Down to drinks on arrival tea coffee wine beer and a personal welcome. Everything. Highly recommend.
- Chris (9/5): Great place to stay! - Nice accommodation that exceeded our expectations, nice seating area outside and we had the weather to appreciate it! The 'goodies' that had been left for us to enjoy were really exceptional! We were only on a short break, but enjoyed every minute. Great location, quiet, all good! Nothing.
- Paul (10/5): Amazing house, amazing garden, child friendly, great location. Perfect. - Awesome property, exceptional service, above and beyond what we were expecting. Fully Air Conditioned which was a blessing, an absolutely fantastic time was had. Nothing was perfect
- Claire (10/5): Host Terry was wonderful, so thoughtful to leave treats for not just our two boys but us too! And even a parting gift fo - Beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean, luxurious extras, great shower, comfortable beds, blackout blinds and curtains, just perfect. Hot tub a bonus! Nothing at all!
- Kevin (10/5): - Terry and Jim are an amazing couple who will do anything for you nothing was too much trouble , it made the stay extra special !
The accommodation was very well presented and cared for with lovely views
Everything you could need was provided and this was the best place we have ever stayed , would highly recommend, can't wait to return in the future . Nothing. Everything was outstanding
- Goodyear (10/5): We will definitely be back! - We’ve just returned from a truly unforgettable stay at Channel View, and honestly, we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect break. The house itself is beautifully decorated with real care and style, spotlessly clean, and in the most breathtaking location. The views are genuinely something special — the kind you find yourself just staring at — and the sheep were a surprising source of daily entertainment for all of us!
But what really made our stay exceptional was Terry, the host. From the moment we arrived, it was clear how much heart she puts into everything. She had thought of absolutely everything to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Terry was so kind and thoughtful — even down to showing our little boy the ice creams she’d tucked away in the freezer just for him. It was such a sweet, personal touch.
Terry’s warmth and attention to detail created such a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere — it felt like staying with an old friend. She struck the perfect balance of being available and attentive, without ever intruding.
This was, hands down, one of the best mini breaks we’ve ever had. We left feeling rested (hot tub, wine and cheese helped!) we felt really cared for, and already planning our return. In fact, we almost didn’t want to post this review because Channel View feels like such a hidden gem — but Terry deserves all the praise. We’ll absolutely be back! It was perfect.
- Gaynor (10/5): Stunning - We loved everything about our stay at Channel View. From the moment we arrived..we received a warm welcome from the wonderful owner,Terry. She had gone above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. There was a lovely welcome basket with a few bits of food to get us through the first couple of days.
The location is stunning. We would highly recommend a stay here. Thankyou also Terry for going to look for a parasol for the garden,as the weather was so hot. We really appreciate it
Five stars from us Nothing. Beautiful home ,beautiful location ,and fabulous host
- Justin (10/5): Staycation with the kids - The property is stunning inside and out, and In a very quiet location, with access to lots of outside space, but not too far from the sea front..the host Terry was amazing, and put lots of extras out for the kids, like fruit and snacks. And ever a few beers in the fridge. I would 100% stay again.
- Amelia (10/5): Stunning location, excellent facilities and comfortable retreat. Host so friendly - Chanel view is the perfect getaway if you’re looking for a peaceful and quiet break with a stunning view. The home was packed full of everything you need and things you didn’t think you’re going to need!
It’s a beautiful home with every detail thought about.
Terri was so accommodating, welcoming and was always on hand if we needed anything, even helped with our late arrival.
Lots of lovely places to visit nearby - including weston super mare, only a 5 min drive down the road. Also only a 25min drive to cheddar gorge!
We would 100% recommend staying here again and will all be back individually with our families Nothing
- Smith (9/5): Luxury accommodation in idyllic location - The host Terry was lovely and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. She even let us check out in the evening seeing as there wasn't anyone staying that day which was awfully kind. There was food, wine, beer and many other things to fulfil all our needs. The views are breathtaking and the outside space is fantastic. The accommodation was bigger than it appears in the photos and the hot tub rounds off a wonderful, luxurious property. The owner came and went fairly regularly, cutting the grass and riding motorbikes, and at times it felt like our privacy had been somewhat invaded despite them being very nice and not entering the actual building we were staying in.
- Simon (10/5): Phenomenal! - We can’t recall any holiday let we have stayed in where everything was so perfect and peaceful. We were greeted by the owner Terry on arrival who I have to say is a very nice person who really can’t do enough for you.
The lodge is extremely comfortable with under floor heating an excellent bathroom with comfortable beds and seating area. Ample parking too. The view is wonderful and located in a quiet country lane.
We were left the basics in the fridge and beyond with a bottle of wine and beers. Bread, milk, butter, biscuits, tea, coffee. An endless list to be honest even an Easter egg for my son.
Thank you for a wonderful weekend, we will come again for sure. Some places just stand out, channel view certainly does for us! Nothing if you can find fault good luck to you!
- Dale (10/5): Excellent, we WILL be returning!! - The host Terry met us when we arrived & when we departed. She’s a lovely welcoming lady who goes above & beyond for her guests. We loved absolutely everything, the pictures don’t do it justice. It is stunning. So clean and tidy. Stunning views (pictured) Nothing
- Kantor (10/5): It was amazing. - It was very nice and convenient and very comfortable Nothing was not to our liking.
- Daniel (10/5): Relaxing weekend retreat - This stay was perfect ,we had a wonderful warm greeting from Terry upon our arrival ,the added extra treats she left us on the side and in the fridge were a very welcome surprise. The property is beautiful and exceptionally clean, the hot tub was amazing .If you want a high class relaxing stay in a lovely location ,this is the place for you 5⭐️.
- Chantel (10/5): Perfect!! - Well where do I start! This has to be one of my favourite experiences to date. The owners of the property were so friendly, kind and over all wonderful! Nothing was too much trouble and if we had an issue it was resolved there and then. Everything you could imagine was provided, the property was spotless, comfortable, in an excellent location, close to shops, beaches and a ten minute drive to the main town. Our children enjoyed every second, the hot tub was magical and our stay was perfect. We’re already planning our second visit. Thank you for a fabulous stay. Nothing
- Andrew (10/5): Fantastic - Fantastic setting , beautifully presented house and brilliant views . On arrival we were met by a lovely lady called Terry who made us feel welcome and showed us around the property . Terry also opened the fridge to show us the beer , wine, cheese , milk that were provided along with fresh bread and a hamper of snacks and other things which was unexpected but very welcome.
The house wanted for nothing , they had thought of everything and it was all of a very good standard. The home was clean and very comfortable and the outside area with the hot tub and seating area was ideal on a night to just sit and chill. Nothing
- Holly (10/5): Relaxing, peaceful, great facilities, great hosts. - It's a phrase that's used to often but channel view is a real hidden gem.! As nice as it may look in the photos they do not do the place justice. The hosts Terry and Jim are just brilliant, we had a few questions throughout the stay they helped us with but at the same time just left us to it to enjoy our break. We had a chat as we were leaving they are as friendly as they are helpful, just good people.
We were blessed with the weather, but the views in the sunshine as well as the sun is setting were brilliant. There is a fire pit in the centre of the outdoor table on the terrace, which was great for having food or drink as the temps dropped later on the night. The hot tub and field were both great for the kids. It's the most relaxing holiday we have had in a long long time. You are on a quiet country lane so you can't hear a thing at times, Its bliss. But you are only 5 minutes in the car from Sainsbury's, pubs, restaurants, shops etc. We go to a lot of places but this one is definitely on the list to revisit. Having to go home I wish I could live at channel view haha!
