• uk_starling (10/5): Lovely little place without all the mod cons - The location, the decor, the quiet. Everything we love from our stays it was perfect for our needs and I would definitely go back again. We love staithes and we loved the location of the house, central but not in the busy quarters. Dog friendly is a must for us and we weren't bothered that there was a no dogs upstairs rule. We didn't cook meals whilst there so whilst it might have had a small kitchen it was perfect for our needs. Two things that we knew about up front that could be limiting to others. No shower is weird. Not even a handheld on the bath taps. This is problematic for quick washes in a full house hold, but actually... It gets it. It still has economy7 and old storage heaters etc... which pulling out a Nd renovating would be costly. The second is a weird choice. No wifi and pretty much no signal either. Again we knew this when we rented the place, so not a problem but it just feels like a slightly bizarre choice in 2026.

• James (10/5): - A fantastic property in a great peaceful location just a 3 minute drive or 15 minutes walk to the beach. The house was absolutely spotlessly clean and very well equipped with everything needed. Parking for 2 cars right outside. Good wifi speed oh and the beds were way more comfortable than a national chain that guarantees a good night's sleep The fact we had to leave this beautiful island and fantastic house

• Lucinda (10/5): - Super location, clean and tidy, all rooms were beautifully decorated and it felt very cosy and homely. The host messaged beforehand with key info and left a lovely welcome basket with essentials. Handy parking spaces and quiet location. Fantastic property!

• Paulaa_cko (10/5): Home-like cottage with plentiful amenities - It was a nice, comfortable place that felt like a home. The property owner was easy to reach and happy to communicate. The welcome package was a lovely surprise as well. Overall, the accommodation offered many little extras that we didn't expect but made the stay so much more pleasant.

• Steve (9/5): Overall we had a lovely short stay at Rose Cottage and would consider using again. - Comfortable warm house in quiet location. Sufficiently equipped. Handy having downstairs toilet as well as a bathroom. Garden looked good (although unfortunately weather was too cold for us to use). Slightly further out from town than we would have preferred but would have been walkable (shame nearby bus doesn't run in the evening). Need an information folder about the house eg where things are, instructions re waste, how things work etc (especially as kitchen cutlery drawer is a 'hidden' drawer behind another drawer front - took us a while to discover it).

The owner contacted us with the key code and left us a lovely welcome pack..The house was very clean and well equipped. Comfortable beds and we had everything we needed. The owner even posted something to us that we left behind. We would definetly recommend and stay again if in the area .

• Cee2507 (10/5): Exceptional - Rose cottage was very cosy, with a lovely homely feeling. The kitchen was well equipped, and the lounge diner a great social space with comfortable sofas. The beds are very comfortable with quality linens. The outdide space is lovely and the area is very quiet and well positioned for touring the area. The welcome basket was great, with essentials like bread and milk, wine and biscuits. There wasn't anything to dislike

• Tyrrell (9/5): Lovely welcome pack on arrival with lots of things for breakfast and chocolates and wine. - Ideal location for exploring the IOW No plug next to mirror so difficult to style hair when using hairdryer. Would prefer mirror over sink in bathroom to make shaving easier and putting in contact lenses. Blackout blinds/ curtains in front bedroom.

• Margaret (9/5): Great place with great amenities, location toward outskirts - The rooms and beds were comfy and very clean. There was a lovely welcome basket which was a nice surprise. The back garden was a great place to relax and the family enjoyed their stay. The location was further from the centre than anticipated although we did look ahead of our visit.
• Bennydms (10/5): 10/10 - The cottage was very quaint and cosy, the beds were extremely comfortable and it had a lovely decking in the garden to sit in and enjoy the sun in the mornings. The hosts were lovely and hospitable and we were greeted with a nice welcome basket for us all to enjoy during our stay. We would definitely stay here again when we return to the IOW in the future! Nothing to report here!

• Kinga (10/5): What a great stay! - What a fantastic place to stay. Really homely, well equipped and spotlessly clean. It is conveniently located and with parking right in front of the house which certainly isn't a given on the Isle of Wight. It has a lovely patio where you can enjoy alfresco dining weather permitting. The host was absolutely lovely and provided us with a ferry discount code as well as a welcome pack with bread juice milk and even a bottle of wine and some chocolates. Communication was excellent too. I would highly recommend staying at the Rose Cottage. It is like home away from home. There was nothing I didn't like.
• Oliver (10/5): Exceptional - The property was very clean and furnished to a high standard, with everything we needed. The bedrooms were lovely and comfortable. There was a great welcome pack on arrival. Is a lovely garden and outdoor seating area. The host very kindly took us to the ferry on departure. The property would probably best suit guests with a car as some bus routes were about a 20 min walk and about 25 mins walk into Ryde.
• Puteri (9/5): Superb - Home away from home! Host was very thoughtful and provided a welcome pack (bread, chocolates, granola) which was beyond our expectations. Really enjoyed our stay in the Rose Cottage. Will definitely come back again.

Very homely - Excellent welcome pack No locks on the bathroom/toilet 6 ring stove which was a bit too big for the kitchen, giving very little worktop space. Would have been better with a standard cooker.
