- Robin (6/5): - The island is beautiful The bathroom is so tiny and getting wet outside the shoer area after shower.

- OBERYB (5/5): The island is amazing, the resort is less than average - The main attraction is the beautiful water and snorkeling at the shipwrecks. The dolphin feeding via the resort was pretty awesome too. The food in general is pretty disappointing, even the only proper restaurant was more basic Chinese food at high prices.
The resort itself was undergoing some maintenance and construction with very little for young kids including the playground being closed.
The worst for us was the service in general. The resort is unhelpful with storing your bags (reluctantly in their office) and there are no attempts to help with transfers around the island (The only island taxi service was on holiday while we were there). We needed a lift to the micat because we incorrectly booked the wrong ferry, but the resort refuses to help in any way shape or form. There's lots of staff but management is really awful.

- Charmaine (10/5): Beautiful picturesque island, crystal clear beaches with lots to do! - The older rooms are little dated but still very comfortable.
Resort facilities are great, lots to do.
The scenery is absolutely spectacular!
It feels like you’re on a tropical island in the middle of nowhere (but an hour from Brisbane!) it’s a close by perfect getaway ❤️ They are getting upgrades from the brochures left in our room, so it will be nice to see that.
Otherwise yes it’s a little dated but you don’t go for the rooms. You go for the views and activities.

- AlisonAM (9/5): Perfect location - Absolutely beautiful location, with a beautiful view from our room. Loved that food and drinks were the same price as mainland prices, no resort 'tax'. The northern Cape bus tour was excellent. Building works were happening during our stay which we didn't know about beforehand. The noise from the rock breaker, excavator and saws, etc were very intrusive at times.
- Neelam A (10/5): -
- David (9/5): -
- Angela (8/5): Our stay was a lot of fun and we enjoyed the nightly activities and entertainment - The Island was very easy to get to and had a lot of variety in activities and was well equipped and felt very comfortable when we were there The noise from the construction taking place
- Valentina (10/5): Loved it and we are organising another trip shortly. - Clean and very organised. Great food selection. Beautiful gardens. Lots of activities. Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful location. Beautiful crystal clear calm water beach. You drop your luggage off to staff at ferry terminal and they take it directly to your room by checkin. No covered paths, from some of the units, to reception and main cafe, bar, eating areas. So take an umbrella or poncho incase of rain.
Didn’t like the idea of the staff leaving our luggage in front of our room until check in. Also we needed to leave our luggage in front of our room at check out. It is labelled but bags could easily be taken by anyone. Not sure how secure this is. However there are lots of security cameras but I would still air tag each bag and take all valuables with you in your carry on.
- Nicky (10/5): -
- MaryAnn (10/5): Excellence - Clean Bathroom too small
- Nikki (10/5): -
- Jennifer (7/5): - N/A Breakfast be included. Friendlier staff, not so much construction noise and less commercial and less controlled.
- Conoley (10/5): - Everything Going home too soon
- Changxia (8/5): -
- Stephen (8/5): Swim, sail, snorkel, sleep. - Convenience and safety in attractive location Might need to look at solar energy like Herron or Lady Elliot or at least some alternate.
- Joshua (9/5): Enjoyable stay, - Good clean room.
- Kate (10/5): -
- Cara (10/5): -
- Carlos (10/5): -
- Amanda (7/5): Great for a short stay and a lot of swimming! - The resort has everything you need - beautiful beaches, several pools, different food options The room was a little small, and the tv didn’t work
- Bhargav (10/5): -
- Lena (8/5): -
- Adele (9/5): Very good but needs more food choices - Breakfast was a little too dry More food choices
- Guest (10/5): -
- Andrew (8/5): We all had a really great time and made some happy family memories.. - Lots of activities, never bored The breakfast was cold both days
- Tara (8/5): Beautiful location with pool. - The property was basic but clean and located right near the beach. Was a little dated.
- Abin (8/5): -
- Ana (8/5): It was very nice, interesting and restful. We look forward to coming back in the future. - The room was amazing. Very comfortable, large and the view was magnificent. Loved sitting on the balcony of our third floor room. Watching the boasts come alive at dawn was a bonus. We enjoyed the boat trip to see the dolphins, turtles and fish on the glass floor boat. The day trip was interesting but a little monotonous. The terrain was unexpectedly rough. Easier access to towels. A couple of bowls and spoons and forks for example. I understand the need to maximise eating at the resort but sometimes after a busy day you need a snack like a bowl of cereal or macarroni cheese to keep you going!
- Carolina (10/5): The best time with my son, beautiful place - The staff was amazing, they were very helpfuyl and welcomed, I could see how nicve they are and they look after the place as if was tuheir hosue its so amazing The food it is expensive buit I understand the have to bring everything from brisbane, and it all from pakage
- YuLin (10/5): -
- Anne (9/5): -
- Marnie (7/5): It would have been the best if the cruise had not ruined it! - The staff were lovely and the resort had a good variety of areas to sit and enjoy. Dolphin feeding was the best! Please please please advise your hotel guests when a cruise ship is coming! We were disappointed where our calm holiday away was spoiled by noisy, dirty whinging cruise patrons. The toilets became filthy, there was no where to sit and the cafe was impossible to get to!!
So very sad that we were not alerted to this!!!!!!
- Natasha (9/5): -
- Ami (10/5): - Tangalooma itself is beautiful, dophin feeding is great educational experience..great water activities Just heads up everything is costly there
- Kripa (6/5): -
- Danijel (7/5): -
- Debra (7/5): - Gorgeous island not a lot of choices for dining. Eating and drinking very expensive. Cocktails $24 scooter $10. Ferry very organised and clean.
- Kristen (8/5): -
- Narelle (10/5): -
- James (7/5): Place was very nice overall - Staff could be better trained, some services were good and some not so good.
- Kelvin (8/5): -
- Markus (8/5): -
- Karen (9/5): A little underwhelmed at first but feel in love with it and what the island had to offer - Value for money. Staff are wonderful. Plenty to do I wouldn’t call it a resort.
- Reinhold (7/5): Alle OK - Gute Lage. Schönes Meer... Wenn da Kreufahrtschiffe kommen ist alles überfüllt. Tausende.....
- Harris (10/5): -
- Kelly (9/5): -
- Karen (8/5): Beautiful island with plenty of great activities to do! - The Resort Shop where we could buy steaks, sausages & mince and salad & rolls/bread to make lunch's & dinners as we didnt come prepared. Expensive to eat out for the whole stay. Coffee shop had great milkshakes and snacks. the only negative was at the Dolphin Feeding we could not hear or understand properly the ranger giving instructions and information. It was clear the next night up on the Jetty watching but the PA system DEFINATELY needs to be improved. Everyone around us was saying the same thing -- and we were in the front row! .

- Mcfadyen (9/5): So surprised, little paradise just off Brisbane. - Beautiful crystal clear water, stayed in Delux king - loved the view and room also very clean. Activities fantastic, did helicopter, dolphin feeding, quad bikes and VIP snorkeling (fish life and coral were amazing). Most of all, staff were very friendly, didn't encounter one that wasn't helpful. Even as they walked past always a smile or hello. Amazed at such a beautiful little spot just out of Brisbane. Definitely recommend and will return. Food was a hit and miss. Sandwiches and coffee good one day bad the next. Didn't go to Fire restaurant way to over priced. Some dishes in the normal eatery great value, others not so.
- Cullen (10/5): Great but spent a lot of time waiting. Needed more staff on hospital - Location , friendly staff Wait times at bar and food
- Madison (8/5): Amazing - Amazing island and wildlife/nature - we literally came because Scooby Doo was filmed here and there was heaps to do - we were surprised Make sure to time when the ferry leaves/returns. We got there from the airport early and there was bad weather and you can only wait outside. Otherwise lots to do on the island!
Great for families or big groups going over
If you’re staying for a while make sure to bring food etc. over on the boat with you
- Karla (6/5): -
- Andrea (7/5): Lovely stay, great service and beautiful island. - The property is lovely! So clean and close to the beach, it is a paradise. People is friendly and great service! I wet for my babymoon and definitely planning to come back. The only thing ruined my stay was at check out. We know the check out is at 10 am, I work in hospitality and I’m very mindful when I stay in different hotels.
It was 9:55 am when someone knocked our door, my partner informed we were leaving in a few of minutes. 10:02 we were leaving the room with housekeepers waiting for us outside. Until then all good, we were walking to reception to settle our bill and 10:04 I got a call from reception indicating they were informed we didn’t want to leave the room when we were already out. I felt so harassed, specially because we left on time but their desperation to have the room affects their current guests, that is definitely something to work on. That moment just ruined the whole nice experience I had at the resort for days.
- Beaven (9/5): It’s all about the location - It was great A little small for a family
- Deborah (9/5): -
- Casas del Valle (9/5): Relaxing view - Everything is really near and the restaurants are well located. It’s beatiful! The dolohin activity wad a bit un organized. People weren’t sure where to line up, but overall amazing experience
- Kerrie (8/5): Absolutely going again. - The location was beautiful. Incredible fish at the wrecks. Walking to the wrecks was so far so you just didn't want to go.
The report also Could have had additional facilities such as boche. There also could of been a little bit more atmosphere around the resort like music playing.
- Yvette (10/5): Just what we needed to reset. - Tangalooma is the perfect island getaway right on Brisbane’s doorstep. There is so much to do from thrilling adventurous water sports to relaxing island style time out. A very well run resort. We enjoyed our stay immensely thank you.
- Karen (10/5): -
- Gatpandan (10/5): -
- Casey (10/5): Tropical island with dolphins what more could you want - Modern, clean rooms with an incredible ocean view.
- Mark (6/5): Amazing location but way overpriced. - The beach and water are amazing. Food and drinks are very expensive. Actually everything was expensive.
- Skillings- Smith (8/5): - Fantastic beautiful weather Pillows soft
- Cornell (6/5): Average at best. - The process was simple enough to get there and back. That process has definitely been streamlined, and it works well. I was given all the necessary information with more than enough time to do additional research.
The room itself was fairly average, but clean. And I did appreciate the full sized fridge, over a mini fridge. For the price you pay you would expect to have fully functioning facilities. When on holiday you want peace of mind that the shower facets are fully functional, as an example.
- tania (10/5): -
- Christine (6/5): Would go again but 2 nights is enough - Was a nice location Was old , needed more bars near the pools, needed to be made more fresh and friendly
Our room was old, toilet seat was broken , walls needed painting , was dusty
- Stacy (10/5): Lots to do in an absolutely gorgeous location - Love Tangalooma. So much to do beautiful location. Staff all friendly. Always nice. Nothing
- Regi (9/5): Tanga Weekend - Most of the staff were amazing, Brett at Tangatours for VIP snorkeling was exceptional!
The pools, beach, dolphin feeding and our snorkle trip were highlights. Such a relaxing experience. Sadly we couldn't order (hot) lunch as there was a 45 min wait on our last day and needed to get to the ferry and then the Café had also run out of spinach and feta rolls.
- Darren (10/5): - The resort provided a comfortable experience, and the staff demonstrated exceptional hospitality and attentiveness. The activities offered were reasonably priced and highly engaging, with a diverse selection to cater to all preferences. The food prices were quite high, and the presence of only one restaurant was a bit disappointing. I had anticipated a greater selection of dining establishments, especially considering the high cost of the available option. While other aspects were satisfactory, I was certainly hoping for more restaurant choices for a romantic evening, particularly options beyond Asian cuisine. I genuinely believe that a wider variety of restaurants offering more affordable food options would be a significant improvement.
- TarNi M (10/5): Loved our trip so much, favourite place to visit 🤗 - Beautiful stay, clean and tidy and super thankful for staff taking our bags to our room ! Little pricey
- Amanda (10/5): -
- Nicole (10/5): Fabulous place! Will be visiting more often now! - The waters are like the pictures, lots of food options, great accommodation facilities and pools were awesome. Lots of activities to do. Cost to get there!
- nour (10/5): My wonderful experience at the island - The cleaninse, dolphins feeding been included was a very nice experience, and the baggage service. The food!not much varieties,a bit pricy
- Gayathra (10/5): Exceptional and highly recommended for anyone to have a wonderful time!! Snorkeling was the best experience out of all. - Plenty of activities for the entire family! Friendly staff. Amazing location to send time with the family
Dolphin feeding was out of this world!!! It’s amazing to see wild dolphins come to the shore every day at the same time! The TV in the room didn’t work for the entertainment channels like Netflix.
Little bit expensive but understand it’s an island
- Jason (9/5): First time here but will certainly be back - Fantastic location- everything you need
- Helen (8/5): -
- Gabriella (10/5): Gorgeous Moreton escape - We loved our stay at Tangalooma — Moreton Island is stunning and the resort sits right on the beach.
Our room in Building K had an incredible ocean view and was very comfortable for our family.
The dolphin feeding was a special experience, even if fewer dolphins came on the night.
We had a blast with the activities — from boating and banana boat rides to an unforgettable quad bike tour.
The tennis court setup was great for my son, though lights for evening play would make it even better.
The Australia Day eve beach party with the DJ was absolutely amazing and such a fun family vibe. The restaurant food was very average, and after just two nights we were already tired of it.
Alcoholic drinks were so overpriced that it genuinely felt painful.
- Andrew (10/5): Great stay for much needed relaxation! Highly recommended. -
- Nicole (9/5): Lovely stay, accomodation was good, beach views lovely, food was mostly good. - Buffet breakfast was good. Dinner was good quality. Tangatours staff were lovely and helpful. Room was lovely and clean with great views. Didn't like the Watersports Store staff - they were very rude and no verbal instructions on how to operate boat, just an ipad with words on how to operate which was unhelpful as i didn't have my glasses. Tried to ask questions but was met with indifference and limited care or concern by staff there - they seemed very different to the rest of staff on the island who were friendly, welcoming and helpful.
- Elisha (7/5): -
- Kiki (9/5): Beautiful but... - Sea view but you had to pay for it. Coffee/tea facilities and fridge and free bottle of wine. Beach towels provided. And excellent luggage service Found some crisps from previous owners, carpet needs an update and mass tourism. On the weekend so busy. Bring your own food its cheaper. The hiking trails needs some maintenance. Stairs need to be fixed
- Benjamin (3/5): Too expensive considering how much spent on food and activities, wont be back, - Staff were friendly and helpful The mattresses were extremely uncomfortable. Cheap.
Food overpriced and not enough general grocery options - could not get my daughters a decent piece of fruit.
