• John (10/5): Just perfect - This is an exceptionally spacious apartment conveniently located close to the main tourist attractions. The apartment has everything creature comfort needed for a short stay and is impeccably clean. Our host was extremely welcoming and helpful.We would definitely recommend a stay here and we will probably be back sometime soon.

• Heikki (9/5): G reat apartment in a great city - Great apartment in a great location, right in the center. We spent a pleasant week there. The apartment is warm even in January, and very clean. Parking in the garage right next door was also convenient. The host is very friendly and helpful, thanks to him. The two wonderful bathrooms had enough hot water, so they were pleasant to use. The kitchen is equipped with the necessary dishes and utensils. The bar table and stools in the kitchen were a bit wobbly, a regular kitchen table would be better.🤔

• Anne (10/5): Lovely stay - We had a fantastic stay at Casa Portela! The apartment was spacious, spotless, and had a very well-equipped kitchen with a coffee maker, dishwasher, washing machine, plenty of dishes and glasses, and even a dish towel, which made our stay extra convenient. The décor was minimal and inviting, creating a calm and relaxing atmosphere. The WiFi was excellent, and the air conditioning in the main areas and master bedroom kept everything cool and pleasant. The building has a lift, and we also used the host’s offer of paid parking, which was very convenient and close to the apartment. There were two shower rooms, each with shower gel, shampoo, hand wash, and a hand towel provided, along with one bath towel per person. The location is perfect – just a short walk to the Roman amphitheater, the port area with boat trips and the tourist bus, as well as shops and restaurants. Our host was welcoming, responsive, and very helpful, which made the stay even more enjoyable. Despite being so central, the apartment was quiet and relaxing. Highly recommended!

José was a fantastic host and very helpful when I made a mistake with the parking! I would recommend Casa Portela for anyone wanting a lovely stay in Cartagena.

• Katharine (10/5): Location amazing - The location was fantastic, the Roman theatre a few hundred metres away at one end and the beautiful main shopping plaza at the other end of the street. The stylish design of the apartment was very beautiful with high ceilings, big rooms and copper conduits. There were loads of supplies of all kinds, from extensive coffee pods selection to dishwashing and clothes washing tablets and liquid

Very clean and comfortable with great wifi, and the owner was friendly. Would stay again. An iron would be useful and also mirrors in the two smaller bedrooms.

• Rita (9/5): Lovely apartment - This is a beautiful apartment, recently renovated and has everything you could wish. Very spacious and comfortable. On second floor with a lift. In the centre of the old city, near the Roman amphitheatre. The balcony is small and accessible from one of the bedrooms. The hosts José and Bea are wonderful and they decorated the flat for Christmas which was such a lovely surprise. Highly recommend. If you have reduced mobility, this flat is very long and a bit of a walk from the kitchen to the dining room. There is a small table in the kitchen.
