Guest Reviews
- Winford (10/5): Perfect for larger families and just couples wanting to get away , chill and play snooker / cards / darts - we h - Spacious , homely , clean , stunning vies across the bay
- Matloob (10/5): - The location The weather
- Gibbons (9/5): - Its a beautiful property, we loved all the old theme and decor. The games room was so good for all the family
- John (10/5): Amazing -
- julie (10/5): It was a special weekend. Perfect x - It was perfect for my daughter’s 21st. Everything we needed was there
- Jacqueline (10/5): - We really enjoyed the lovely grounds, hot tub, absolutely everything you could want for a few days away. There are plenty of outdoor toys and games for kids of all ages, bbq with coals, fire pit.
Games room with lots of games. Unfortunately we didn't get a walk on the beach due to high tide and bad timing. Only thing that could be improved on would be an outside fridge, bit of a trek back and forwards to the kitchen.
- Hughes (10/5): - Loved the position with fantastic views and large garden for all of us to play in. The hot tub was really popular and the bbq a bonus. Washing facilities very useful and the games room had plenty to do in it. There was plenty to do in the surrounding area and must say Jenny gave us a great welcome and made us feel at home. Also a nice welcome pack was provided. We had a fantastic 4 nights and fully recommend Duddon Villa. The only thing one of our party mentioned was there was no lock on the en suite door.
- Carol (8/5): Very good -
- Melanie (10/5): Had a fabulous stay to welcome in 2025 with all the family. Highly recomend - Spacious, clean, beautiful traditional features, fabulous games room, spectacular views to be seen Only one thing and that was there wasn’t a toilet downstairs but it wasn’t major
- Susan (9/5): Great place for extended family get together. - All but one of the bedrooms are en-suite.
Kitchen clean and well equipped for cooking for large group.
With game rooms and living rooms both having comfy sofas, it gives you separate sitting areas for kids and adults.
Kids loved the games room.
Direct access to coastal route and short walk till you are on the beach.
Hot tub was very relaxing.
TV with sky big plus. TV upgrade to a smart TV needed in long run.
- George (10/5): Overall, a great place to stay especially with easy access to the lakes nearby. - The villa is in a stunning location overlooking the beautiful landscapes of Cumbria. The garden is massive and the beach area is great to explore and relax. Owner is very friendly and helpful. The unique interior design adds to the character of the villa and makes for a fun experience. It was clean and well kept and the games room is a great addition offering darts, snooker, games consoles and Sky TV.
- Nobbyj7 (10/5): A beautiful house in a great location with plenty to do, absolutely recommend - What a beautiful Georgian house with an amazing view of the estuary and countryside of the lakes, the house itself has an abundance of character, rooms and space are amazing, facilities available from everything you need for cooking (all utensils etc. provided), bbq'ing, laundry. Then plenty of spacious bedrooms with en-suites on 3 and a solo bathroom for the other bedroom. Then the games room is brilliant for both children and adults alike, for us it meant the 3 children could keep themselves entertained and then all could have games nights in the evening. The garden is huge also and with 3 children and 3 dogs it meant that there was plenty of space for them to burn energy and play without having to go out anywhere if we didn't want to. Then the location being right on the estuary so being able to walk out the garden and go for a walk down the estuary when the tide was out and down the beaches, then the other way being 15-20 mins drive from the first hills/fells you can walk. Our only regret is we didn't stay for longer. Fabulous place and Jenny was great as a host, keeping me informed and answering queries ahead of arrival, showing me around on arrival then offering to answer anything we needed during our stay. Thoroughly enjoyed it and will be back at some point. I wouldn't say it it's something we didn't like, more like a personal preference as some people found the mattresses a bit firm but others found them comfortable so as a host you can't please everybody.
