Guest Reviews
- Pauline (9/5): Comfortable and relaxing. - Great location for visiting family. Spacious, clean accommodation. My family and I had a very comfortable sleep. N/a
- Max (1/5): Shocking stay - Leaving Met host at house to get key to b told there was a guy living in the cellar
The house was not listed as a shared house !!
I would not have booked it if it was
On the first night the power tripped and the fuse box is in the cellar were we had no access to
and the fella in the cellar was out so we couldn’t turn it back on so had no hot water
Phoned the host who took half an hour to turn up
The next night the power tripped again obviously some dodgy electrics my colleague waited up for the man in the cellar to come in so he could turn the power back on he had nothing but a sofa bed and a piano down there very weird I know obviously using the bathroom and amenities in the rest of the house I had paid to rent
Living like a wild animal
The area felt very rough
We couldn’t wait to leave and would definitely not return
- Brad (4/5): Disappointing - The owner Nancy was very nice The property is a shared accommodation, it is a three bed end terraced house, that has been altered to five bedrooms, with works being carried out to add an additional room in the basement, to the one already present. The room I was shown to was, downstairs, next to the shared living room. The washroom that I was appointed , was a small shower room that was situated down the entrance hall towards the shared kitchen. So very little privacy. Luckily for the first night, I was the only one there , but if there had been someone staying in the basement/ bedrooms , I would have been sharing the shower room with the other guests. Upstairs are three bedrooms that had access to the bathroom. The room I was allocated was near the main road so I heard everything ie: passing vehicles and pedestrians. The blinds were not blackout blinds and there is a street light that lights up the room.. I left after the first night, due to I felt more tired the next day., than I did driving four and half hours from Yorkshire after work. I was needing a good night's sleep., which isn't what I got.
- Kofi (10/5): Exceptional -
