• Mr & Mrs Norman (9/5): An excellent self catering studio, spacious and comfortable. Spotlessly clean and welcoming. - We were self catering. The area suited us as it was very near and convenient to visit family. The only criticism we had was the towels provided were very small to what we are used to and as seniors the frame of the bed made it difficult for us to get out of! But otherwise we were extremely well catered for with many nice touches to make our stay very easy and comfortable.

Nice little kitchenette. It would have been helpful to have a lighter blanket or sheet, instead of only a heavy comforter. The weather was warm and gorgeous, so it was a bit warm to sleep. Fan was provided to help out.

It had everything required ( with a few added little extras) Having stayed at other Air B&Bs which were all clean and tidy. This was so welcoming, very warm on entering (on a cold evening). Fresh, spotless, with a lot of thought for the guests stay. Myself & hubby were only booked in for 1 evening ( for an early day hospital appointment a short drive away) Having stayed at other accommodations, we had taken our own coffee, milk toiletries etc. ( from our previous stop overs) ROBLINS NEST had actually provided us with basic necessities, In the way of Tea,Coffee,Milk, Little selection of biscuits and even cereal for the morning. In the very modern shower room there were a few complimentary toiletries we could have used. As I said we had come prepared and it was a brief stop over for us. We had a slight mix up on our arrival. I messaged Beverly the owner, who with her lovely daughter Jade resolved it promptly. They couldn’t do enough for us to make sure we were comfortable. We even received a phone call later in the evening checking we were settled in and had everything we needed. Nothing was too much trouble. Unfortunately my treatment had to be cancelled due to me having a medical condition which had flared up, meaning It was too risky to have the eye surgery planned. We were able to return to the property for a few more hours, before leaving. I messaged Beverly on leaving the property, and explained we will most likely have to return for a rescheduled surgery. I just hope this lovely little gem will be available next time. I have no hesitation in recommending ROBLINS NEST to any Single person ( who would feel safe there) or couple, who wants a spotlessly clean, well maintained Stop over. Thank you Beverly. X There was nothing to dislike.

• Mike (9/5): In a very 'ordinary' neighbourhood, a very welcoming and accommodating host adds to a super rental ! - Very kind, friendly, attentive and happy-to-be helpful host. The (large) TV had lots of options, the whole accommodation was very clean, well laid out and well equipped. Beverley had clearly tried to think of/ include all the 'extras' that make a stay as comfortable, and 'homely' as possible. Lots more things that are outlined in the online description are exactly as written. My wife and I have stayed in tens of similar places over the last decade and this was amongst the very best. The location is 'fine' in terms of the immediate environment...a residential estate... but in terms of easy access to the nearby beautiful coastlines and mountains (or Swansea, if you want shops and services)... the location is fabulous! :-) Very difficult to think of any, minor improvements that the host could make... 1) single, larger serving bowl would be a welcome addition to the kitchen, 2) the TV...designed to be watchable from the bed rather than the sofa, could be fitted with a facility to turn it slightly to face the settee as well, 3) A small but separate 'recycling' bin made available + details of how the recycling works on a little sign by/ on the bin, at least one thinner pillow to allow different guests to work out their own 'depth' of pillow(s) to rest their head on (as I found the thick ones available weren't that comfortable for me., 4) slightly thicker blinds for facilitating darkness/ privacy in the living room And Shower Room! { All very 'picky' and minor things that could be done to make tiny improvements, to what is a VERY GOOD rental ! :-) }.

Great location, quiet road, yet close to town, excellent parking, and most importantly, attentive and lovely host, Beverley. We enquired about an extra bed last minute and Beverley was kindly offering her spare room. Many Thanks for a lovely stay.

• Jordan (10/5): My stay was absolutely phenomenal and I do not plan to stay anywhere else in the Ammanford area - The moment I arrived the the room was immaculate, my partner and myself were surprised at the size of the room and just how spacious it was. All in all the room was absolutely perfect There are absolutely no complaints that I could make about this room.
• Michael (10/5): A literal gem. - This was an absolute gem of a find! Roblins Nest is run by the most wonderful people, always helpful and always willing to go the extra mile! The room itself comes with so many additional extras and flourishes, and the decor is so well thought out it's like a home away from home, and not just "another place to stay". I would like to give a shout out to Beverley, who is basically the platonic ideal of The Greatest Host, who was incredibly understanding when I needed to extend my stay for a day due to a train cancellation, and to everyone else who made staying here just a wonderful, wholesome experience. It's a real shame the ratings on here only go up to 10. Roblins Nest deserves the kind of numbers that would make a calculator give you an overflow error. If you're ever looking to stay in Ammanford or surrounding areas, please, *please* try to book here first. You will not regret it. There was literally nothing I didn't like. If I could live here, I would.

Very friendly and polite and let us park our car on her drive and park my motorcycle on the private drive of the accommodation. For some reason I thought there was a cooker but there was just a microwave, toaster and kettle, which would normally be more than adequate. Very helpful to have tea/ coffee and toiletries available. Overall, a lovely place and would definitely recommend.

Beverley couldn't have been more helpful, and the short break was perfect: I just needed a night's peace and quiet and space to do as I pleased. This fit the bill perfectly. The TV was fab, up-to-date with plenty of streaming options, and the bed was really comfy. The bathroom was spotlessly clean, and even had toiletries I made use of as I forgot to pack my own. I intend staying there again, in fact, this could become a regular place for a night's break. Beverley communicated really well too, this made it so much easier than it could have been. I was very grateful for that. Nothing to dislike at all.

• Stuart (8/5): Fantastic property..... thoroughly recommended. - Property was very clean. Owner allowed me full use of the driveway, which was well lit and I felt my car would be safe. WiFi signal wasn't strong during my stay. Reading other reviews, I seem to be the only person to have experienced this. Fortunately I had a strong enough phone signal on the Three network, to allow me to stay connected. Bathroom window is obscured glass, but requires a blind IMO. If there was a blind in the bathroom, and the WiFi signal strong, I would score this property 10/10 on everything!!! Superb property, will definitely use again.
• Radu (10/5): Lovely Studio - It was very clean, and Beverly went above and beyond with the preparations. It is located in a very quiet area. There are a few shops nearby, and a Tesco is about 10 minutes away by driving. I loved it. Thank you, Beverly! I highly recommend it, and I'm looking forward to returning sometime in the near future! The only thing that I didn't like was the weather. It rained a lot!

• Comedora (5/5): Rather disappointing - Lots of TV channels, nice cotton bed-linen and clean and reasonably equipped kitchenette with some cold water in the fridge and a few extra food items/ condiments. The unexpected check in info was sent via email just a few hours before check in time when we did not have access to email and to make the matter worse the hostess was out of reach for more than half an hour and booking.com customer service telephone number was difficult to get too, which made the check in experience really horrible: there was nobody to meat us and everything was locked. After waiting for about 40 minutes outside and several unsuccessful attempts to contact the hostess we were thinking already about looking for another place to overnight. There was no message or text received as the hostess indicates and the first time she called I did answer, but at that point we were already in the apartment thanks to booking.com customer support. I think check in details should have been sent much sooner or at least some indication when to expect them would have been nice. Hot water in the shower was really taking long to come through and was difficult to adjust to a consistent temperature. The grey bath towel was of a really bad quality. I just touched it to my body and was completely covered in grey fluff and someones curly worly so needed to get under the shower again... We did not use the pink one because thought it might be the same quality and bringing own towels would be not a problem if the hostess would clearly indicate on booking platform that her towels are rubbish. There was not enough surface to put things on near the shower- a chair or a small table would have been good. The hostess suggested a towel rail, but firstly it was at the other end of the bathroom and secondly I am not referring just to towels... It was very hot, but we did not feel secure enough to leave the windows open through the night. A quiet fan, air con or some security features would have been good, and there was nobody to discuss our concerns with or to ask for anything, because the hostess did not come back until we left next morning...
