• Marina (7/5): Parfais pour séjourner au calme. A 5 min du metro Kennigton. Les lits sont tres confortables. - J'ai apprécié le calme et le confort du lit. La chambre était spacieuse au rez de chaussée sur jardin. possibilité de se faire à manger dans la cuisine. Contact facile avec la messagerie. Maintenant que je connais je reviendrai! Je pense qu'il faudrait un plan pour indiquer ou se situe l'entree. Surtout si on arrive de nuit. Heureusement je suis arrivée le jour, mais en pleine nuit je n'aurai pas trouver car c'est au milieu d'un lotissement de petites maison au fond d'une allée (pas dans une rue) et pas indiqué. Si on recherche le numero dans la rue indiquée on ne trouve pas, j'ai tourné avant de trouver l'entrée. Il n'y a pas beaucoup de restaurants. Il y en a 2 autour du metro Kennigton : red old lion un pub animé et un restaurant Japonais. L'ideal est d'acheter à Tesco de quoi se faire à manger dans la cuisine. Ou diner dans un autre quartier.

• Ernestina (8/5): Hospedaje con buena ubicación cerca de Londres - Check in sencillo. Ducha caliente. Café y especias a disposición. Muy buena ubicación cerca del metro y el autobús. Barrio tranquilo. Tiene cocina pero no un espacio para poder comer, había que subir los cubiertos y la comida a la habitación. Es un sitio viejo, necesita un poco de más de amor y reforma. Las almohadas eran demasiado altas, como almohadones.

Il letto molto comodo, il bagno confortevole e gli asciugamani profumati, morbidi e grande, la presenza di un ottimo phon e di alcuni adattatori. In generale la stanza era molto accogliente e mi ha fatto sentire a casa. Come accade spesso nelle strutture, entra tantissima luce dalla finestra nonostante le tende tirate, nonostante io utilizzi una mascherina per gli occhi per dormire. Inoltre, avrei apprezzato qualche info in più sulla zona, dove mangiare e che servizi ci sono: ok il check-in tramite locker delle chiavi, lo capisco, ma ci vuole veramente poco a preparare un foglio illustrativo per gli ospiti per farli sentire meno sperduti
• Angus (8/5): Great location, quiet locale, hassle-free entry/exit & a 'real people' neighbourhood. - Location was great - 5 mins walk to tube, street and neighbouring streets very quiet, nice area generally with lots of grocery stores etc. Plenty of kitchenware etc plus cooking stuff available in cupboard. Fridge, kettle & tv in room. A wall-mounted bracket in the bedroom for coat hangers would be great - nowhere to hang shirts on hangers apart from curtain rail. Be handy for towel also. Otherwise all good.

Tem carregador universal, ferro de passar, sal, café, açúcar… A localização é ótima, muito próxima ao metrô. E a casa estava extremamente limpa. Voltaria com toda a certeza. Nada. Eu adorei tudo.

• Lemercier (8/5): Parfait pour un court séjour à Londres ! - L’emplacement du logement est très pratique et le fait que l’entrée soit autonome est parfait pour les trains qui arrivent tard ! Les murs très très fins entre chaque pièce, mais ce n’est de la faute de personne hormis les constructeurs de la maison !

• alessio (8/5): - Appartamento in posizione centrale, vicinissimo alla stazione metro di Kensington e situato in una via laterale lontano dal traffico, quindi in una zona molto silenziosa. La camera e la cucina sono molto piccole e gli utensili per cucinare erano un pò sporchi, li ho lavati prima di usarli. Inoltre, il pavimento di legno scricchiola, mi è capitato di sentire rumori da parte degli altri ospiti durante la notte. Comunque considerando il prezzo resta sempre un'ottima opzione.

• Marina (9/5): Très bon séjour, je reviendrai - La propreté, le confort de la chambre, la machine à laver, la cuisine bien équipée, la gentillesse et disponibilité du propriétaire même si je ne l’ai jamais vu. Le quartier est calme et résidentiel, et ultra bien situé avec le métro Kennington. Il manque à mon sens un portant avec des cintres dans la chambre. Il n’y avait pas non plus de rangement avec tiroirs, juste un porte manteau. Pour 5 jours c’était un peu compliqué de vivre dans le sac à dos.

• Julie (9/5): Good central location, feels more like you are living there - The location is fantastic. Close to the tube, zone 1/2 but still quiet. I felt safe walking around the community. There are a few shops nearby. Rita is lovely 🥰. It was a very comfortable stay. I only used the kitchen for breakfast, but you could cook meals there if you wanted to. It reminded me of when I lived in London (terraced house, shared). I might be getting too old for a shared bathroom, although it was clean.

Nos dejaron en la habitación café y té, y botellas de agua. Se agradece. En general bien si es para una estancia corta. La limpieza no era la mejor, el mobiliario era un poco antiguo lo que daba aspecto de menos limpio. Almohadas muy finas.

First, the location was perfect—very close to Kennington Station, and on a nice day you can even walk to Westminster Bridge. I felt lucky to stay in Lambeth, a quiet residential area away from the busiest tourist spots. I booked the smallest and most affordable room in the house, and it was perfectly fine for my three-night stay. For a longer trip, I would recommend choosing a larger room for extra comfort. The property was exactly as described, and everything—bathroom, shower, and kitchen—was clean and well-maintained. Having a washing machine was an especially big help for a traveler. Whenever I had questions or needed assistance, Rita always responded quickly and kindly. If I return to London, I will definitely stay here again. Excellent value for money—highly recommended. Given the price, I really have nothing to complain about — it offered great value.

It felt a bit soulless

• Laia (7/5): Clean and quiet room. A pity it didn't have internet! - Converted terrace house placed in a quiet street, only 5 minutes away from Kennington subway station. The property was really clean and the room was of a good size, with a small fridge, which I found really helpful. My only complaint was that there was no wifi at all during the three days I stayed there. This was a big setback for me, as I was travelling for work. Also, the room had an Android TV, which I could not use because of the missing internet connection. I contacted the owner multiple times, but she offered no solution, just made up excuses about the internet provider. I checked with the provider and there was no issue at all on their end. I hope they'll get internet soon. Otherwise, a very good place to stay in London. Besides the internet problems, the room wasn't very cosy. It was freezing cold at night, and had nowhere to put my bag or hang my clothes. The bathroom door didn't close and the only light was a very bright fluorescent. A bedside lamp would have been really nice, so that I didn't have to cross the freezing room at night to switch the lights off. These are only minor things.

No issues whatsoever with communication before arriving, getting the keys, staying and eventually checking out. Clean Toilet and bathroom, Kitchen can be shared (but didnt use it). Didnt get the chance to meet Rita but everything has been great at the Hostle. Perfect for a Weekendtrip and i'll happily book again when coming to the UK again! For ppl from the EU, dont forget the adapter as the UK has other plug slots (to charge phone for example)

• tushar suhasaria (8/5): Nothing negative, peaceful neighborhood, ideal for solo or friends, highly recommended. - It was conveniently located near my intended destination in London, with a metro station just a short walk away, making it easy to reach central London. I accidentally left my iPhone charger at the property, but the owner kindly mailed it back to my home address free of charge. We also appreciated being able to check in earlier than planned, as we had arrived on an early morning flight. There was really nothing to dislike. If you’re traveling solo or with friends and prefer a peaceful neighborhood, I’d definitely recommend this place.

• Darren (8/5): Nice Value and Comfort in a Room Close to the Subway Station. - This is a room with a shared bathroom in a house. I had a large room with a king bed, a sofa, and a nice desk. There was also a fan. I was very comfortable in the room. I had to walk upstairs to the bathroom. It was also a five-minute walk to the subway station. I greatly appreciated the host's prompt responses and information. The place was a little tricky to find initially, but after a few trips to and from, I got the hang of it. Sound also carries in the building, so I needed to wear earplugs.

Nice extras like a kettle coffee sachets and fridge in the room. The building was very quiet the two (weekend) nights I stayed. Easy short walk from Kennington tube station. Felt safe walking back at night. No complaints.
• Davi (8/5): Comfortable bed, lovely backyard, great location. - We stayed in the room on the groud floor, with access to the backyard. We loved that. We prepared our brunch in the kitchen and ate it outside in the sun, the weather was beautiful (lucky us). Location is amazing, close to many public transporte alternatives, and ~3mins from Kennington station. To either side you could quickly reach many small markets which fed our needs for breakfast and quick dinner, that we cooked on the hostel. Rita, who manages the place, was very helpful and always available. She helped us with an early checkin and gave us tips on how to get around the city. The stairs and the upper floors do some cracking noise when people walk there. We are able to sleep deeply so it was no concern for us, but I can imagine other people might be annoyed. Also, I try to walk very silently so it was an extra thing I had to worry about.

My room had privacy (only my room on ground floor) My one issue is that there isn't sound insilatuon in the ceiling. Thus, when someone moves in morning or evening it is load and annoying. Also the garden area can be a bit more maintained. Other than that its a great location, great price and the fact i have a big ground terrace was great.

The best was i was in contact with the property and the owner was so kind and nice to me. She allowed to be there 5 hours before the usuall check in, because of my flight. It felt so good to spend time at the place...I would defenetly recomend it.

Not even tea bags provided in the room - had to be found in kitchen 2 floors down. 1. The BED - despeerately uncomfortable, far too soft- really bad for the back. Impossible to get into due to cramped space. Spent part of the second night in an armchair which was slightly more comfortable. 2. 1st night distiurbed about midnight by 2 men runnong up & down stairs, banging on & trying to open all the doors. Totally inconsiderate & making us feel very vulnerable. Another guest was pleased to be leaving the second day because of the disturbance. 3. "beverages provided in room" = only nescafe, NO tea, no milk & a kettle impossible to fill due to the cramped bathroom & position of the tap. Bottled water there on arrival was not renewed on either of the following days. 4. Stairs up to top floor v narrow and no guardrail/ handrail. Very unsafe. Only one unit there (the only one with its own bathroom) - so NO excuse for the people in para 2 above to be up there, banging on dorrs & trying to open cupboards. This was the morst uncomfortable & unpleasant place I have stayed in a very long time. They should be reported for Health & Safety concerns, for lack of any staff supervision. Shocking waste of money and very little sleep due to discomfort & disturbance. The last night was also disturbed by a catfight close by - not within the control of the owner, but still adding to the general atmosphere of neglect and lack of thought for guests' comfort. NOT TO BE RECOMMENDED.

The kitchen was well stocked (i.e., washer/dryer, toaster, fridge, freezer, cooking supplies, microwave, electric kettle). The location was excellent: 3-5 min walk to Kennington station on the Northern Line, then another 2 min to Tesco Express for groceries and snacks. The house was a little difficult to find, and the front door was a little finicky (sometimes I found it hard to lock/unlock).
• Julio (9/5): Very confortable - The room was super confortable, with all the necesary to stay for some days. The bed was really good, there was also a heater that worked perfectly. All was good! Nothing to complain

It would be almost a 10 if it had rooms with bathroom. - I liked the location because it is very close to Kennington Station (Northern line) and I also enjoyed the room overall. I appreciate that my room came with two bottles of water, napkins and a useful heater. The first day hot water wouldn’t come out of the tap, but on the second day it worked somehow. I didn’t use the kitchen so I can’t say anything about it.
• Ruth (9/5): Lovely! - Access to a kitchen, underground station close by. Just the upstairs was a bit creeky! But I know that can’t be helped!!!!
• Javier (9/5): Comfortable, central, budget-friendly stay - - Spacious, comfortable room - Hot water - Close to Kennington underground station - Close to Waterloo train station (good for some regional trains) Temperature. Radiators outside my room didn't seem to be on, and thus those spaces were a bit too cold. Wall radiator in my room wasn't working, but an electric radiator was available, which was sufficient for heating my room.
• Nina (8/5): Very good - Everything was great. The location is 5min away from the subway,close to all central sightseeings. Quite neighbourhood. A grocery opposite of the subway. A shared kitchen. I would recommend at least 1 more towel as 1 is not enough,especially for a longer period of stay. As well the bathroom door was making funky noises that could wake up the whole house, so it would be nice to be fixed.

• Patrick (8/5): Exceptionally located, comfortable, and a reliable place to return to each day. - Other than needing to work out the central heating, getting the fridge and dryer plugged in, and there being no power socket in my bathroom, this was a very good place to stay. Would highly recommend to anyone travelling alone. Perhaps a quick note to any future guests before they arrive regarding the fridge and central heating.
• Thiagofmleite (8/5): Excellent cost benefit - Great cost benefit. Clear room. Staff promptly answered all the messages. Excellent location. Quiet place. I would recommend it! The house is a quiet cold during the winter, so if you need to use the shared toilet, for example, it won’t be a good experience.

Easy check in, key safe so able to arrive any time after check in. Plenty amenities to hand. Easy to locate, host sent photos and additional instructions to locate property earlier before arrival. 5 mins walk away from underground.

• Sean (3/5): I won't be back! - Good location - close to the tube station. The room was tiny. The heating was either on full or not on at all. The bathroom was very small and cluttered. The TV remote didn't work. Paying €100 for this is outrageous. It's a rip off.
