• Mary (2/5): It was terrible!😣 - The host had many rules, was constantly telling what NOT to do, and had trouble communicating with us. The room was chilly (May 1)all the bedding was damp.

• Lambert (8/5): - Gelogeerd tijdens de camino del.norte. ( wij vonden het bed iets te smal...maarja, er zijn veel.grotere problemen. Het is een slaapkamer in een appartement. Ingeval de andere slaapkamer ook verhuurd is, deel je de badkamer. Geen probleem. Alles schoon en netjes. Eigenaar leidt je met foto's door de route en het vinden van het sleutelkastje. Perfect. • Sylvie (8/5): - Nous avions lu les commentaires disant que l appartement était difficile à trouver mais nous n avons eu aucun problème. Ina nous guettait et nous a guidé sans problème. Un grand merci. L appartement est calme et le centre ville rapidement accessible.

• Horniblow (8/5): A very comfortable place to stay. - Very comfortable with a lovely spacious bathroom. We also really appreciated our host making us a coffee before we left. Found it a little difficult to find as I did not have wifi and couldn’t access the instructions provided.

• Elizabeth (9/5): Beautiful stay overlooking Zarautz - Ita is an excellent hostess, her home is beautiful and it does have a fantastic view.

No es claro la descripción de Booking que es la habitación en un pequeño departamento habitado por una mujer sumamente maleducada, maltratadora, ladrona y mal gestada. Me cerró la puerta en la cara porque llegamos 10 min antes del cierre del check in y me dijo que la tenía sacada de quicio pq no sabía llegar a su casa y me cobró 15 euros más y no queria dejarme entrar por qué no tenía bizum para pagar los 15 euros que ella puso como costo extra (tuve que rogarle que me acepte efectivo pq no soy de España) y ella también estaba enfadada conmigo porque era extranjera .. Me maltrato, fue mal educada y preponderante. El parking es imposible y cuando le preguntas a ella te dice q no hay, que ella no tiene carro que no le importa ese tema... que no es tema suyo . Y cuando le decís que es difícil llegar te dice que no es su culpa que nosotros seamos unos idiotas que no sepamos llegar. Fue horrible sentirme asi deberían sacarla de Booking ... Ahora que leo los msj veo que a la mayoría les pasó. Nada ... Todo fue horrible. Difícil de llegar . • Hans (7/5): Slaapkamer is zoals beschreven, centrum makkelijk bereikbaar. Gastvrouw spreekt totaal geen engels. - De kamer en ligging Niet engels sprekende gastvrouw, geen parkeermogelijkheid binnen 1 km (alleen voor residenten). Volledig kopieren van paspoort vinden wij niet fijn, maar viel niet over te communiceren

• Marta (8/5): Amazing view but very plasticy bedding made it hard to sleep on a hot night. - The flat has amazing view. The host was nice, the bathroom very clean, we could use the kitchen. No issues with privacy. The bedding was from artificial fabric so on a hot day it was very difficult to sleep as you were getting very sweaty.

• Piedad (6/5): Mala experiencia - Las vistas. La luminosidad de la casa. La habitación era correcta. El acceso era complicado. No había aparcamiento cerca de la zona. No había aire acondicionado, ni ventilador a casi 30°C por la noche. Tuvimos que abrir las ventanas para ventilar, pero al coincidir con fiestas no hubo manera de dormir hasta las 3 de la mañana por la música. Tras apalabrar una noche extra, finalmente, 4 horas más tarde se echaron atrás y tuvieron la osadía de sacar nuestras cosas y dejarlas en el balcón de la casa (un quinto piso). Al enterarnos tuvimos que cancelar nuestra comida y dirigirnos a la habitación para recoger nuestras cosas. Se disculparon y reconocieron su error, pero nos desgraciaron la estancia. Todo un hecho que jamás me había pasado en mi vida.

• Klara (9/5): Superb - Close to the Camino de Santiago way, we were welcomed by lovely lady, everything was super clean. We saw the ocean from our room. You can use a small balcony in this flat with Zarautz views.

• Warwick (7/5): Good - The apartment is up the hill at the end of the beach. It can be reached by using the two street elevators which makes access more convenient. It is also on the camino del norte which we were doing. Morning coffee from the host was nice. The rooms are in the owner's apartment. The elevator in the apartment was out of action which we were not told until after booking so we had to climb five flights of metal stairs.

• Per (4/5): Disappointing - The place in city Its terrible to have walk 5 floors to reach the room. No elevator and its was building stair so it was dusty and dirty. You have to wash your hands everyone you uses the stair. Advertising that personal speak english, no no no only Spanish with the lady.

• Yutta (6/5): Lovely host, hard to find and dangerous entry during building renovations. - The owner was lovely. The family contacted us in short notice upon our arrival. The apartment block is not marked as 2, so it is a guessing game among 5 similar blocks. The worst part is that the elevator is torn down and the steps to the fifth floor are held up by tele-posts with mud-renovation boards and holes. Very precarious.

• Travel (8/5): Room on the top floor. - Location was excellent as we were walking the Camino ,trail goes past the building. Bed was comfortable. Not far from the centre of town. Nice views. Only one small shared bathroom between 3 rooms. (it was mentioned in the advert about shared bathroom) . As long as you are reasonably fit and healthy the climb up 5 flights of stairs is ok. But overall a good stay.
• William (5/5): location not too far from town centre. Just beware there are 5 flights of stairs - Rooms perfectly good. If you need a break from the Camino this is an option A lift! this is one the 5th floor. Also had a problem finding it. Its not that close to the town. Our host was a bit brusque. It wasn't clear what facilities we could use. But given the tight accommodation market were grateful to have a place to stay

• Helen (4/5): Disappointing - The owner gave us tea and coffee in the morning Bed is uncomfortable. It is a 5 to 6 inch mattress on top of wooden base. The corner of the wooden base sticks out, we hit our legs twice. About 2km from the town on top of a hill. You take a public elevator then walk up.

• Charlotte (10/5): Kind, welcoming, great value. - Patient and kind owner helped us check in, also kindly put our laundry on the line (pilgrims), we were very satisfied with our stay and thank the owner for making us welcome and putting up with our bad Spanish! We couldn't praise her enough! Easy location into town, and onto the Camino trail. Thank you for having us.

• Nicholas (7/5): Good - The property is situated on a large hill overlooking the city and it is fun catching the public elevator up to it. You get sent instructions in English which is helpful. My room had a sea view. You can't lock your bedroom door. English is not spoken (the owner had to get their mum to be there when I arrived)
