• Julie (6/5): I appreciated the warm bed but overall the accommodation doesn’t hold its value on the price per night. - The rooms were warm and clean The bathroom has no privacy with a clear glass door on it. The stairs leading up to the room are very narrow and the breakfast is served cold.

• Rosalia (10/5): - Además de una habitación muy bonita, con vistas a la montaña y al patio, un sitio muy tranquilo. Pero lo mejor, sin duda, la señora, su desayuno y la cena, merece muchísimo la pena pagar por la cena. Productos de calidad y comida muy buena, ensalada del huerto y pollo de casa.

• Gediminas (9/5): Cozy accomodation and excelent service that made us feel right at home. - Super clean. Terrace was a huge bonus with amazing views. Hosts was SUPER friendly and so so so welcoming! Sound isolation.
• Julie (8/5): Goed - De locatie was perfect. De kamer was heel proper. Er was een prachtig uitzicht vanop het balkon. Het ontbijt was uitgebreid. De sfeer is goed. Ondanks dat de vrouwelijke host geen engels spreekt, was ze zeer gastvrij :-) Hou er rekening mee dat je in de bergen bent en dat het comfort anders is dan in de steden. De kamers waren wat gehorig en vroeg licht. Met oordopjes en een slaapmasker is dit snel opgelost.
• Malini (8/5): Lovely Vila on the quieter side of Theth with very attentive hosts - The Vila is located on the quieter side of Theth which was ideal for us. The room was sizeable and clean. The hosts were absolutely super. They whipped us a lovely dinner on our first night and everyday the breakfast was divine. They grown some of their own vegetables and have chickens for fresh eggs on site as well as some chicks - cute. You can easily hike to Grunas waterfall and Blue Eye from the accommodation as well as the circular village walk. It’s close to the church and tower too. Whilst everything was lovely, it would be nice to have two pillows per person (mostly because of existing neck/shoulder issues). Some built in luggage storage would be good for those travelling a longer time around the country. Otherwise, it was an absolutely brilliant and lovely stay. The hosts were super!

So many tasty and varied elements to the meals. Also a great selection of drinks available. The best wine we had on our trip! The bathroom door was made of transparent glass
• Alyssa (10/5): - Me and my partner have been travelling Eastern Europe and this vila is by far our favourite place out of them all. This is simply because of the amazing food provided by the lady (host), for breakfast and dinner. We felt the meals really made our experience in Theth 10/10. Breakfast (included in our price) was delicious and a very generous amount (this kept us going for the day on our long hikes). We chose to pay for dinner at the property for all 3 nights that we stayed. The portions were definitely worth the money and you could tell a lot of effort had gone into making the meal. The food was amazing and it was really nice having a home cooked meal after a long day. It definitely took the stress off trying to find a place to eat in the evening. We would definitely love to return one day to the vila. Thank you to the family for being so welcoming.

• Anoud (10/5): Wonderful stay surrounded by great views, lovely hosts and fresh food! - We absolutely loved our stay at Shkalla. What a lovely family who really go out of their way to ensure your comfort. We arrived exhausted after a long hike, and while the restaurant at the villa was not open yet, Anamaria was so kind and made us a big salad with cheese and a basket of fresh bread and let me tell you, it was a mouthwatering salad (sounds ridiculous but really, it’s the best produce I ever tasted in a salad). Turned out that vegetables, eggs and chicken come from their garden. You enjoy eating a delicious dinner outside with stunning views and really fresh and organic ingredients. For those who claimed that the property is overpriced in the reviews, I’ve stayed in properties with farm to table concept before and with less impressive views and I paid three times more what I paid for Villa Shkalla. The property deserves every penny spent. Book your stay and make sure you eat there! You won’t regret it. Special thanks to Anamaria who was really wonderful and helpful. Nothing. I wish I stayed longer.
• Marie (10/5): Superbe séjour avec des hôtes très accueillants - Le logement est un peu à l'écart du centre de Theth et très calme, c'est vraiment agréable. Il est aussi idéalement situé pour les diverses randonnées que nous avons effectuées. Un très bon restaurant "Shpella" est à même pas 5min de marche et nous en avons bien profité ! Ce que nous avons le plus apprécié c'est l'accueil et la gentillesse de nos hôtes tout au long du séjour. Concernant la chambre, le lit est vraiment très confortable. Rien de particulier.

• Sven (5/5): Unpassendes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis - Die Besitzer der Unterkunft sind sehr herzlich. Die Lage für eine Wanderung zum Wasserfall ist super und das Bett war sehr bequem. Das Frühstück wird jeden Tag frisch und mit Liebe zubereitet. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt hier leider nicht. Für denselben Preis bzw. teilweise sogar günstiger erhält man in Theth deutlich bessere Unterkünfte. Das Bad ist leider winzig und beim Duschen wird alles nass. Es gibt keine Klimaanlage, was im Sommer doch unangenehm war. Der Kühlschrank im Zimmer funktionierte nicht ausreichend, sodass unsere Getränke nach dem dritten Tag noch nicht kühl waren. Die Lampe im Bad funktionierte nur ab und an, eine Lampe am Bett überhaupt nicht. Während den drei Tagen haben wir keine frischen Handtücher bekommen und auch der Müll wurde nicht geleert (obwohl man dort Toilettenpapier entsorgen musste). Es sind also einige Punkte nicht erfüllt worden, die ich bei einem Zimmer für 120 Euro pro Nacht erwarten würde.

• Aleksandra (3/5): Keine Empfehlung - Das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis stimmt überhaupt nicht. Man bekommt für weitaus weniger schönere Unterkünfte. Zudem haben wir uns nicht willkommen gefühlt. Beim abreisen und kontrollieren ob nichts vergessen wurde, habe ich unters Bett geschaut. Ich wünschte, ich hätte es nicht gemacht. Extrem dreckig. Zudem ist es sehr hellhörig, wir haben die Gäste im Nebenzimmer so laut gehört, dass wir uns hätten unterhalten können. Die Gastgeber unter uns haben sich bis spät Abends sehr laut unterhalten. Alles in allem fühlen wir uns einfach über den Tisch gezogen.

• Cornelis Jan (9/5): Top accommodatie op een top locatie. - Fantastisch uitzicht. Zeer uitgebreid ontbijt en een heerlijke kamer. Heel even zoeken voordat je de accommodatie hebt gevonden. Niet alle ramen zijn voorzien van een gordijn/verduistering. Je wordt dus lekker vroeg wakker.

The verandah view over the mountains was stunning. The property was still to be completed with a lack of hanging in the bathroom and the door to the bathroom was see through offering little privacy.

• Roxan (9/5): We had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend coming here. - Beautiful and relax location, kind hostess/hostes, good breakfast. Ideal location for a hike and visit to Theth. Transparent glass bathroomdoor is not ideal when you with friends. Airco would be nice, but it was ok.

Also the bathroom smelled like sewage because they don’t have a proper seal for the pipes. Overall it’s way overpriced for what you get. There are better options in Theth.
• Andreas (4/5): Der Aufenthalt war eine Enttäuschung. Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis stimmt gar nicht - Die Lage war gut. Das Zimmer sauber. Das Guesthouse war schwierig zu finden, da sie nicht beschriftet war. Das Zimmer war klein aber in Ordnung. Geräusche und Gerüche aus der darunterliegenden Küche drangen aber praktisch ungehindert in unser Zimmer. Morgens um 04:45 weckte uns ein sehr Energie geladener Hahn. Das Badezimmer war winzige und hatte keine Duschwand. Nach einer Dusche stand das ganze Bad unter Wasser. Zusätzlich fehlten wahrscheinlich Siphons, da das Bad immer nach Abwasser stank. Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis stimmte gar nicht.

• Julia (9/5): - It’s a bit more expensive and for the price, we expected a bit more comfort, like for example heating (travelled in September and had 5-12 degrees and a mix of sunny and rainy days). However, Theth is a super remote village and things happen like sometimes the electricity is down. So putting everything into context - the villa is perfectly located directly next to the river, crazy beautiful view from the terrace, the room is small, but the bed was extremely comfortable and cozy. Last but not least, the hosts were incredibly welcoming, friendly, flexible and lovely. 😍 and breakfast is perfect before a hike! Can highly recommend staying there in case you want to have a cozy comfort zone after exhausting hikes!

• Al-Duaij (10/5): It was a pleasant stay at the property. It combines the advantages of guest-house and hotel services. We loved the famil - Very caring and friendly staff with good communication, cozy place, beautiful view, fresh home-made food, and cleanliness. The stairs were a bit difficult for older people. The windows were missing screens so that it makes it possible to keep them opened to smell the fresh air. The bathroom door was transparent, though the staff were helpful and got us curtains to cover it.

• Dorte (8/5): Beautiful spot, nice and friedly hosts. - Villa Skhala is located in a wonderful spot with a beautiful view to the mountains. AnneMaria and husband are very nice, caring and friendly hosts and their son spoke a very nice English. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful and it was included in the fee. The two evenings of our stay we also bought dinner. It was traditional, local and very tasteful. A steep stairway led to the room, we had at the top floor. It was lovely and will be perfect when finished with e.g. a closet, drinking glasses and what you would expect in a room in that price range. When the nearby construction work is finalized the property and the ground will be even more beautiful. We spend the days hiking the mountain and enjoyed our stay
• Gabor (10/5): Igazi titkos tipp annak, akinek a kedves házigazdák, és vendégszeretet a legfontosabb. - A környéken nagyon sok szép új szállás található, de én mindenképpen olyan helyet kerestem, ahol helyi emberek a szállásadók. Akinek kimondottan luxus a vágya, annak nem ez lesz a legjobb megoldás. Aki ellenben szeretne egy szeletet az albán vendégszeretetből, beszélgetni akar, meg akarja ismerni a gondolkodásukat, annak ez lesz a legjobb élménye az albán nyaralása alatt, ezt garantálom. Olyan melegszívű, kedves vendéglátásban volt részünk, ami párját ritkítja. Élménnyé, felejthetetlen idővé tette ezt az utat számunkra. A házigazdával túráztunk, este rakit ittunk, beszélgettünk google fordítóval, gyönyörködtünk a hegyekben, élveztük a háztáji ízeket a reggelinél és a vacsoránál. Szeretnék még ide visszajönni. Csodálatos volt, és hálás vagyok a házigazdáknak. Nagyon. Egy kicsit nagyobb fürdőszoba egy-két pakolási lehetőséggel jól jött volna, és ha sötétebbet lehetett volna csinálni a szobában, az hasznos lett volna, de ezek apróságok.
• Louis (10/5): Wir würden wieder hierherkommen. - Sehr nette Unterkunft direkt von der Familie geführt. Fantastische Aussicht in die Berge. Ruhig gelegen etwas ausserhalb. Die Unterkunft ist erst frisch gebaut worden. Zur Zeit gibt es hinter dem Haus noch eine Baustelle, diese stört aber nicht/gering da sich das Haus in die andere Richtung orientiert.
