Guest Reviews
- Graham (9/5): A very comfortable experience with no negative aspects. - No breakfast available but facilities to prepare your own. Did not meet the owner, but this was not necessary to gain admittance.Very comfortable bed and good value evening meal available at the pub next door..

- vikki (6/5): - The room was clean and they lady had left milk, crumpets and orange juice as it is now classed as a B & B. Wifi didnt work even though we had a code. Didn't like the fact that the beds were still separate, triple room, would have been a nice touch to make two into one double seeing as we were a married couple staying!
It states No Smoking which is fine as neither of us smoke, however the room smelt of stale cigarette smoke which was unpleasant. The landlord of the pub continually blocked our car in and we had to wait for hie to come out an move it!
Why he insisted on parking behind our vehicle I don't know as there were other places to park withing the carpark (lazy we can only guess?)

- Steve (10/5): A nice chalet with easy access to the MTB trails. - Easy access and parking right outside. The host left some basic essentials for us (milk, coffee, orange juice, cereal, etc) which was a really nice touch. 3 single beds with quality quilts and linen. It’s clearly a fairly new property, which is well built and very tidy. Everything was good.
- John (10/5): Local charm and very welcoming owners. - Everything you need and comfortable beds . And close to local area . Nothing everything was spot on
- X (9/5): Clean, comfortable and convenient. - The location was perfect for me, within walking distance of Crosskeys Campus.
It was clean and the shower was lovely and hot. Loved having a fridge as well as a toaster and kettle.
It was nice having the pub next door and it is within walking distance of various takeaways and two local corner shops. the car park is a bit small. Had to park roadside until a space became available but at least there is plenty of roadside parking available.
- Martyn (9/5): Superb -
- Breeyn (10/5): Amazing stay - They were kind and considerate of the fact I was a lone traveller, ensuring I felt safe and secure. The room was super comfortable with breakfast items provided!

- Shaun (9/5): Very good value for money in an excellent location. - Really nice well appointed staying lodge comfortable and good facilities. Excellent value for money. Parking difficult on arrival as the Pub was very busy for meals and therefore the car park was full. However this changed and spots opened up as the day wore on. Did not in anyway spoil the visit.
- Marian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alan (9/5): Thats it. - Great place, clean tidy exceptional allmost Continental breakfst the only thing we were disapointed in very poor.
- Maria (10/5): Exceptional - Easy access to attend a concert in Cardiff
I was unable to attend due to hurting my ankle, my friends went as we had tickets for a concert in Cardiff, Helen was very understanding and offered me a refund without me having to ask. The girls had a great time, thank you

- Stephen (10/5): Excellent - Excellent facilities overall, added extras of continental breakfast Parking a little tight
- Liv (9/5): Friendly and comfortable. - Lovely lady greeted me at the property, very friendly.
The self contained small bedsit chalet like accommodation was very clean and bed (3 singles) was comfortable.
Plenty of hanging space in 2 wardrobes. Sitting area and flat screen TV on wall.
Microwave, toaster, kettle, refrigerator (but not freezer part) and hairdryer provided. Nice touch of bread, butter, biscuits, cornflakes and porridge in cupboard. And tea coffee and sugar and a bottle of milk. Walk in wet room shower with toiletries provided. So very thoughtful. Also a convection heater on the wall for cooler evenings. Location is in a small village, 20 min. drive to Newport. Very convenient for me visiting family. On the whole a very nice stay. A lamp by the bed would have been good, instead of getting out of bed to turn off main ceiling light.
I couldn't open vertical blinds.
Pub next door was a little noisy when people were drinking outside but hey they were enjoying themselves.
Parking difficult, small car park, popular pub.

- David (10/5): Exceptional - Very comfy place to stay, nice little surprise of juice milk bread &Welsh cakes. As a dissabled person it would be better if it had grab rails and a stool in the shower.

- Anonymous (1/5): Very disappointed as we couldn’t park. - We didn’t stay as there was no parking even on the street outside. My husband is disabled and could only walk a few yards. Unable to give explanation as we didn’t stay because of the parking. We will have to check all the small print should we book again.
- Marian (10/5): Exceptional - Very convenient. Peaceful and comfortable.
Couldn't fault it - if I'm that way again I would stay.
