Guest Reviews
- Valérie (10/5): Chalet cosy - Petit chalet bien agencé et bien équipé. Situé au calme. Avec de belles attentions qui nous attendaient au frais pour un petit déjeuner.
Merci à Rachel pour son accueil.
- Mark (8/5): Very nice accommodation convenient for our tour around Skye - Convenient location for visit to Skye. Motorbike parking. Comfortable bed. Spacious accommodation. Adjacent to workshop which unfortunately was noisy one night out of our two night stay.
- Julie (10/5): Lovely! - The property was clean and tastefully decorated. It was in a good location. The host made us feel welcome with good communication and left us a few goodies in the fridge for breakfast. Absolutely a wonderful stay. There wasn’t anything I didn’t like about the property.
- Robertson (10/5): Cute cabin - Very cute, well-stocked, wonderful place! We loved it all! Thanks for the bread, yogurt, butter/jam and milk. That was very thoughtful. Kitchen chairs are nice looking, but not functional.
- christine (10/5): - Perfect in every way!
- James (10/5): An outstanding facility. Highly recommended. - Clean, comfortable and well equipped. A home from home. Rachel also provided complimentary breakfast items that were very much appreciated. Nothing

- Derek (7/5): Handy location for heading over bridge into skye. - Clean cabin, good facilities Car garage right behind cabin, loud music and banging after 10pm,
- shannon (10/5): I highly recommend it here, I felt so at home that I actually slept and I don’t usually sleep to well - The who set out is super cute and well kept , such a homely feeling Nothing ! Really loved it there

- Donald (9/5): - Perfect location for a one night stay whilst travelling to Skye. We were comfortable, the property was clean and a good size for the two of us. Cooking facilities were good and we found everything we needed. Would be happy to stay again if we are ever in the area.
- Martin (9/5): - Communication from Rachel, cleanliness and comfort of the chalet.
- Joanna (10/5): - We had a fantastic stay. The bonus was that we had bread, butter, jam and milk left for us fresh for next day breakfast. We were very grateful for that!
- Phil (1/5): Do not stay here - This is self catering but we did not stay for reasons below This is no more than a garden shed put up in the garden of a suburban house. It has Wi-Fi And a TV that don’t work. The owner lives in house next door but appeared to know little about issues.
The bedroom was tiny the double bed literally filled the room, no storage space. We arrived after a long drive and wanted a comfortable place to relax. After much discussion Rachel agreed with our comments and agreed a refund. She was helpful in finding us a hotel.
- Kellie-Ann (8/5): -
- Naomi (10/5): Luxury lodge, great design, close to Isle of Skye - Everything, the only possible gripe would be that the WiFi didn’t work so potentially no tv, we had mobile data access so it didn’t affect us. Apart from that I wished we stayed longer. N/a
- charlie (10/5): - Lovely modern spacious clean and comfortable wee lodge.lovely helpful and friendly host.comfy bed , nice big shower, well positioned for a trip to skye.host pre supplied basic items like bread, butter, milk, yoghurt ......very nice touch.
Nice little deck at entrance with seats and table , easy parking at lodge entrance
- Michelle (9/5): Cosy & comfortable accommodation - Very cosy and comfortable , beautifully furnished , well equipped.
- Mackenzie (10/5): - Comfortable and perfectly situated as our base Not having more time there
- JAMES (10/5): Superbly equipped and clean property. - Cleanliness, facilities and contents. Nothing
- Andy (10/5): -
- Zlatko (10/5): -
- Sarah (7/5): -
- Stephen (10/5): - Everything Nothing
- Antonio (9/5): Delizioso cabin in legno! Wifi veloce e funzionante. Riscaldamento funziona subito. Siamo stati molto bene! Niente, tutto ok
- Brown (8/5): Convenient overnight stopover - Everything I needed. Close to local amenities Pine cladding made the interior rather dark
- David (9/5): Lovely little place - Lovely little place, great stop over on a motorcycle trip, short walk into the village and the owners were great Just had issues with Wi-Fi/TV and couldn’t watch the big game that night
- Katrina (9/5): Great stay with excellent location - Excellent little lodge. Great location and host was lovely 😊 had everything we needed. Communication was great and there was a self check in so we didn't have to rush to get there. Only downside was the WiFi password didn't connect and that the bed was a bit small for us sprawlers! Haha but it's our own fault for not checking it was a double not a king.
- Ian (10/5): - Very good had everything we needed comfortable bed Chairs were not very good to sit on
- Gordon (9/5): Very relaxing location and cabin plus our host made the us feel right at home. - Great communication with host. Easy to follow directions to accommodation and keybox. Super easy to locate and use key box.
This is a very well appointed cabin which contains oven, microwave, fridge etc. Our host had very kindly left some items in fridge to get us going. This is a fantastic place to stay, quiet with great amenities in the nearby town and surrounding area. I'd suggest this is one of the best locations to base yourself should you be wanting to explore Skye & the wider Lochalsh area. Safe off road parking right beside cabin. That we didn't stay there longer.
- Lucy (8/5): Very good - Lovely cosy property, everything you need, good location to visit Skye
- Joan (9/5): Superb - Location, everything there. Easily kept. Shower room door didn't close easily. Needed a bang. Not really a problem unless someone gets up in the night and can't avoid waking the other party.
- Liz (10/5): Great place to stay! - Lovely place to stay in a great location. Host was super helpful and left the fridge with bits to make our stay comfortable.
Thankyou! Everything was great
- Hazel (10/5): Exceptional - The location was great. Easy parking. There was milk, bread, butter, jam, tea and coffee. Everything for a quick breakfast if you don't have time to walk to the shops. Bedroom is on the small side.
- Pam (8/5): Very good -
- Newington (9/5): Very comfortable place to spend a few days - Very sweet little property. Adequate for our needs, we were only there for 1 night. Parking right outside, bathroom very good and kitchen provision was great. It wasclose to town for the co-op and places to eat.
This was great for the two of us, but I think if we'd had a child with us, it would have been a bit of a squeeze. It was very comfortable and the bed was good, we slept well despite the torrential rain! Bathroom door was really hard to get to shut. It was annoying, but didn't spoil our enjoyment.
- Amiruddin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sandra (9/5): Superb - Close to shops and a cafe, really good shower and the bed was so comfortable, really quiet location. Bedroom quite small, had to walk sideways round the bed, also the T.V signal wasnt very good just kept buffering all the time.
- Meritxell (6/5): Pleasant - The cabin is great and has everything you need. Very clean and close to restaurants. It has parking just in front. We also had some breakfast left by the owners, very thoughtful. This is a cabin for 2, the sofa is extremely uncomfortable and shouldn't be advertised as a bed to fit more people. The third person barely slept as, even with the topper, the sofa was just so bad.
- David (9/5): A cosy cabin for a couple - The spacious living and kitchen area is well equipped with everything you would want for a self catering cabin, with the added bonus of a great outdoor seating area (midges permitting!). Plus the bed was incredibly comfortable. Situated in a quiet street, the town centre is not very far away, and it's a great place to base yourself for a day or two on Skye. The host was super helpful, even leaving some essentials in the fridge. The bathroom lacked a little space to get things out of washbags, etc. but it's a very minor gripe!
- Alp (9/5): Superb -
- Stuart (8/5): Just what we wanted!! - Perfect location and everything we needed was provided The sofa/bed.. very uncomfortable to sit on
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional -
- Thomas (9/5): Superb - This was a lovely apartment to stay in. Well situated near the Skye bridge and not far from the lovely village of Plockton.
The bed was comfortable, the check-in/out was seamless, facilities inside were good. Overall it was very pleasant, it looked good and felt homely. The shower is a bit small for me but the pressure etc. is good. The sofa is a little uncomfortable to sit on. I couldn't find a password for the WiFi but wasn't in desperate need of it, so it didn't impact my stay.
- Jean (8/5): Very good - Self contained, good location for access to Isle of Skye and Plockton. Good facilities everything you needed in the lodge. We hope to return Maybe a better fence at the back to obscure the building behind but it's a minor issue..
- Sidney (7/5): Good - the bedroom was just a bit on the cramped side, not much room around the bed and the wifi was not working
- David (9/5): Superb -
- Dave (9/5): Peaceful retreat at Antlers Rest - Antlers Rest offered a comfortable night's stay, providing a welcome respite after a long day of travel. The cabin was well-equipped, and it was a thoughtful touch to find tea, coffee and bread for breakfast.
The convenience of being within walking distance to shops and takeaways was also a definite plus. We particularly enjoyed the pizzas we ordered from Pizza Mia. They were tasty, freshly made, and hit the spot perfectly.
Overall: Antlers Rest offers a peaceful and well-equipped cabin in a convenient location. While the small bed and WiFi-related TV issues were noted, the overall comfort and tranquility made for a pleasant stay. We would certainly consider returning for another restful night. The only reasons for not awarding a perfect score were the small double bed and the TV. While understandable given the cabin size, the bed felt a little cramped for two. The TV issue was slightly frustrating, especially with the reliance on streaming, which unfortunately suffered from buffering due to the WiFi.
Despite these minor drawbacks, the peace and tranquility of the location were truly brilliant. The quiet surroundings made for a very relaxing stay.
- Steve (10/5): Amazing well equipped cabin - Everything was perfect. This cabin was equipped with everything and had a great comfy bed. Location to the Isle of Skye was perfect.
Rachel the owner was so lovely, we found bread, milk, yogurts, tea, coffee and butter waiting for us after a long drive, so was very much appreciated.
- Kenneth (8/5): Very good - Very good location, comfortable and good amenities. The tv didn’t work very well at all due to the internet signal.Very nice and comfortable accommodation.
- Jidchanok (10/5): Exceptional -
- Peter (10/5): A fantastic little place and wouldn't hesitate stay again. - A fantastic little place in it's own right. It's very well thought out in it's design and very spacious inside given the external footprint and everything is of very good quality. Everything is there that you might need, we had a great stay and would definitely book to stay there again. There is nothing negative to say about it.
- Diane (2/5): horrendous, - The location was not as anticipated. The photo on the Booking.com paperwork was grossly misleading, it did not show the rubble, or the communications tower or indeed the close proximity of the owners house and the old run down buildings behind it and to one side. The space inside the cabin was horribly cramped, hardly enough for 2 people, certainly not enough for 3. The door to the tiny shower room and toilet was only about a foot away from the end of the bed. The oven was not particularly clean, There were only 2 chairs at the 'breakfast bar'. Having stayed in 6 other properties prior to this one, all of which were extremely nice and included a 2 bedroom apartment, bespoke hotel, barn conversion .....The Antlers Rest was the most expensive. The host was unwilling to discuss the issues we had or to even consider the possibility of some refund. We had no choice but to stay there the night, an extremely uncomfortable one given the the very limited space. Under no circumstances would I or my travel companions recommend it.
- Theresa (10/5): Exceptional - The cabin was great, lovely inside, nice sitting areas outside, bed was very comfy
- Andrew (8/5): Very good -
- Robin (10/5): Cosy - Spotlessly clean very comfortable would make a good base and to explore Skye Nothing to dislike
- Neil (8/5): Very good -
- Lorraine (10/5): Lovely place -
- A_n_droid (8/5): Very good - Good facilities, fully equipped for cooking, good pans, kettle etc. Electric heaters worked well. Bed was comfortable, good night's sleep, seating outside gets the sun in the afternoon. Not much really, the sofa bed wasn't too comfortable for the third person but ok for a night.
- Lynn (10/5): Cozy and beautiful - Place was lovely, well equipped and homely. Rachel our host was very helpful with directions and questions before and during our arrival.
Will definitely use this location again.
- Chris (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hazel (8/5): Warm, comfortable accommodation and handy location - Warm, cosy and inviting appearance when we arrived. Compact as shown. Fittings of a high quality, well equipped and nice crockery and glassware. So handy to have cooking and refrigeration facilities, and to be able to park right outside and unload straight in. Very quiet location, we slept well!
- Babette (8/5): Great location and some nice touches made us feel welcome - The communication with the host was good. The location was good for us for visiting Skye. The loaf of bread, yogurts and milk was appreciated. There was a work shop/garage behind the cabin and there was noise coming from it until late in the evening.
Personal preference…..a king size duvet would be useful in the double bed, it would provide more cover and warmth.
I feel it may be slightly over priced, we’d stayed in Oban for 2 nights and paid less than £200 in what we would describe as luxury accommodation.
- Alexandra (8/5): Very good - Location, cleanliness, self checkin and checkout Wifi was intermittent and the TV kept buffering
- Pauline (10/5): A really lovely relaxing stay. Will be back. - Clean and comfortable. Nothing.
- Stuart (10/5): Exceptional - Fantastic base and place for R&R.
- Colin (9/5): Great cosy base in Kyle and within easy reach of Skye - It was a nice cosy place to stay at a reasonable price and a great location for visiting Skye from. The kitchen was very nice and well equipped. Nothing much to complain about. The bathroom is on the small side and the sofa could be more comfy but I thought it was a lovely place nonetheless
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional - The Cabin was lovely, cosy, comfortable with everything available that you would need. It's also situated in a great location 6 miles from Plockton, 8 miles from Eilean Donan Castle & about a mile from Skye Bridge. N/A
- Ian (9/5): Superb - Clean well equipped and comfortable. Lochalsh, maybe time of year but not how we remember it .
- Belinda (9/5): Great location, clean and cosy - Great location in the heart of the village. Parking at the door. Easy access via key safe. Clean and cosy. No bedding was provided for the sofa bed in the lounge, fortunately I had a sleeping bag with me. The bedroom was small and there were no bedside lamps, only a torch. Access to the toilet/shower was via the bedroom, which was awkward for the person sleeping in the lounge. The WiFi didn't work and neither did the TV which needed WiFi.
- Joanna (9/5): This was a well thought out accommodation with beautiful interior easy to access great location very relaxing - It was a unique experience and accommodation Nothing
- Kylie (8/5): A delightful place to stay and would recommend two nights if sighting the Isle of Skye - Comfortable , and having a kitchen to cook a meal was really convenient The lighting was good for cooking but poor over the kitchen bench, where we were needing good light to read maps for trip planning.
- Bill (8/5): Very good -
- Anne-marie (10/5): Exceptional - This lodge was lovely. It was so warm & comfortable. Nice to be able to just chill out on the settee after a long day's travel. I want one in my garden!
There are quite a few shops and a co-op within walking distance and the bridge to Skye is just down the road.
Would highly recommend. N/A
- Tracey (8/5): Very good -
- Philip (10/5): Excellent location cabin was perfect - Everything was perfect Nothing
- Cheng (10/5): Cosy cabin like a home away home - Great little cabin right next to the bridge lead to Isle of Skye, perfect for stop over or head to Skye. Easy to find with a big co-op only less than 10mins walk down the road, there are all the tools we need to making ourself a delicious dinner and breakfast, it indeed feel like a home away home! We loved for staying over and wish could stay longer. If I have to be picky, then the only thing I’d suggest the front garden need bit tidy up, rest are perfect!
- M73 (8/5): Very good -
- Natasza (10/5): Best place we stayed at! - Beautiful stay, very clean, comfortable and very well furnished. It was a bit hard to find but i think it could be due to it being very dark.
- Stuart (8/5): Very good -
- Andrews (10/5): Exceptional -
- Craig (10/5): Exceptional -
- Barry (9/5): Superb -
- Dave (10/5): Exactly what I needed - Warm, clean, comfortable and well equipped.
- Gordon (10/5): Excellent accommodation and would recommend it highly. - Lovely clean comfortable accommodation. A pleasant surprise of milk, bread, yogurt and other supplies in the fridge on arrival. Good pre arrival notice received. Everything I wanted for a 2 night stay. Will certainly look to use again.
- Caitlyn (6/5): Nice . But wouldn't come back - Close to skye. Parking at door Slaters in the bathroom
- Ford (10/5): Excellent place - This is a great, well equipped and well decorated cabin. Very comfortable. Nothing
- Nicholas (7/5): Good -
- Gordon (9/5): Great wee cabin in a convenient position for exploring surrounding area -
- Adrian (8/5): Very good -
- Pauline (9/5): Superb - Cosy
Had everything we needed Sofa not terribly comfy
- Carol (8/5): Loveky place to stay - Lovely cute place with every you could want for a stay and more Had a slight issue with the bedding
- Simonc86 (10/5): Exceptional - The cabin was incredibly cosy and a perfect location. Check in was seamless and easy. The host was contactable if needed. The cabin had everything that we needed and more. I would definitely stay here again. It was very reasonably priced. So many places are so expensive to stay at in the area but I think Antlers Rest did it right. I didn't like that I forgot my food out of the fridge the morning we left. But otherwise I can't fault it. It was great.
- Tegan (8/5): Would 100% recommend! - Comfortable and cosy property Tv didn’t work and wifi was hit and miss
