Guest Reviews
- William (6/5): Good value for money in a very expensive area. I was detained there for family reasons - Breakfast only was granola but I happen to like it and had three helpings.
isn't clear whether anything else was to be eaten.
A cat did a large poo in the breakfast room which didn't help but didn't worry me The bed clothes could be more clear.
And what we're supposed to have for breakfast.
And the first time I came there was no key so I couldn't go out in case I couldn't get in again
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Thomas (3/5): This is someones flat. It's not a hotel - This is someones flat. It's not a hotel
- Adam (3/5): Will not recommend and will not return - Location Desk you couldn’t sit at as room too small , no lock on door, dirty bathroom , corridor’s cluttered, wardrobe unusable full of junk etc
- Douglas (1/5): A total scam - just somebody's flat with communal bathroom. - The Booking.com advert indicated a room with private bathroom. On arrival the property was a shared flat with communal bathroom. The communal areas and bathroom had not been cleaned.
- Renjun (1/5): Soooooo bad - the breakfast service is too complicate and there’s no where to check in and it’s a shared house not for one person and it’s too tooooo expensive the breakfast service is too complicate and there’s no where to check in and it’s a shared house not for one person and it’s too tooooo expensive
- Ali (1/5): Bad - The location. The man in charge was heard singing loudly very late at night, and making lots of noise late at night.
- Linda (1/5): Not a good place to be - Location from Royal Brompton Hospital No breakfast as said: I didn’t feel secure. No lock on the bedroom door made me feel very inSecure Put chair by the door. Very scary!
- Sarah (3/5): PASSABLE - The location was good. Near to local shops and bars. Only about a 15 mins walk from South Kensington tube.
The host was also happy for me to drop my bag in the morning which was kind. This allowed me to walk around luggage free. Probably not the best place for lone females as host is lone male.
Lounge was messy and I felt I was plainly in someone's own space and intruding.
The host did mention croissants for breakfast but I left with none as no arrangements was made re time. He only got in at 0300 in the morning so decided to leave and not wait.
Bathroom was unclean and water didn't drain from the sink .
No bedside lamp nor mirror nor chair.
- Gus (5/5): Passable - Quiet room with comfy bed. The shared livingroom had a balcony overlooking a bustling street in the heart of Chelsea. A short walk from the river. Communication with the host was challenging at times. Check-in was delayed and confusion over the hot water due to his absences.
- Renier (5/5): Passable -
- Robinson (5/5): Close to our destination - Location Bedding uncomfortable.lack of kettle and only instant coffee.
- Gunasekara (1/5): Terrible experience. Need to be dutifully reported. - Only the location. Nothing else met the basic expectations. Cannot imagine this listing exists on Booking.com. Checking into the property was problematic, as the instructions were unclear, the apartment number was not mentioned, and the keys did not work properly.
The bed linen had not been changed for some time, and when we checked in, it was highly untidy. We had no option but to sleep on it.
The bedroom has no lockable door, and when we returned at night, another guest occupied our room. We had to move to another room, which was even more dirty.
Our room did not have an ensuite bathroom; the one outside was dirty and had other people's belongings hanging around.
The apartment was nowhere close to clean, and so was the bathroom.
We weren’t served the breakfast that was promised. When we asked, we were told that there were eggs and salami in the refrigerator. We checked to find that the salami had expired five months ago. We were starving in the morning. The kitchen was an absolute mess with leftover food. The pans were lying on the stove with old food debris.
No wine bottle was provided free of charge as promised.
There was a cat litter in the living room/ kitchen area, and it was stinking.
The listing has fallen out of hand and must be removed from Booking.com. Guests who stayed in the other two rooms shared these sentiments. We felt some burglars were using these premises without any maintenance to make easy money.
I was also extremely disappointed with Booking.com. None of my emails and app messages were responded to, and I felt miserable and helpless as a genius customer.
- Sönke (4/5): Disappointing - not clean, no locks on the room doors
- Pinnell (1/5): Essentially a hostel. With dozens of rat traps - Good location Really not worth it. It's tiny and is essentially a hostel. The ad claims 200+ square feet but the room itself is like 25 square feet. The rat traps all throughout the building did not bode well.
They don't offer cancellation and I can see why. You get there, see how unpleasant it is and can choose to suck it up or do what I did and find somewhere else. The way I see it, not having to stay there the entire weekend was worth paying £100 per night
- Robert (3/5): Did not stay as it was not as described and did not meet our requirements. - We left after 10 minutes of arriving as the property was not as expected. The property was being lived in by other people. The bedroom that we were shown to had no lock on the door, the bin in the toilet was full, one of the wardrobes was full of clothes, there were work tools stored on the balcony, and the bed had been used as there were a number of clearly identifiable human hairs in the bed. I had entered private bathroom in my search before booking and when I asked about the bathroom I was told that it is a shared bathroom with the two occupants of the flat. The lounge was also a shared area, which was very untidy. There were no towels in the room, the owner only had one set of keys that they also need to use.
