Complaint Regarding Unacceptable Conditions at the Hotel – Full Refund Requested Dear Sir or Madam, After a 17-hour bus journey, we arrived at your hotel completely exhausted. Prior to our arrival, we had called to confirm that everything was in order and that our room would meet expectations. We had also checked reviews along the way – none of which prepared us for the appalling conditions we encountered. What we were given was, quite frankly, disgusting: the first room was absolutely filthy and infested with cockroaches. The space was dirty, unhygienic, and had a terrible odor. After we immediately raised a complaint, some of the cockroaches were killed at our request – but they returned almost immediately, crawling onto our belongings and luggage. It was revolting. When we demanded a refund, this was flatly denied without proper justification. Instead, we were offered another room, which turned out to be just as unacceptable: it stank, was filthy, and also infested with cockroaches. We only had about an hour left to rest before needing to leave again – and during that short time, we even felt bites while lying on the bed, strongly indicating the presence of bedbugs or other pests. To make matters worse, the currency conversion used during payment was arbitrarily inflated, causing us to be charged significantly more than the agreed amount. The service promised was absolutely not delivered. I demand a full refund for this unacceptable experience. Sincerely,

• Christian (7/5): Never again - I was cheated by the accountant. He imposed a euro to cedis rate that was out of proportion. When I questioned him, he simply said the owner defined that rate. I was quite disappointed but I paid and left.

• Lawrence (8/5): Nice, modern hotel, with good and helpful staff. - Modern hotel with good, helpful staff, Comfortable bed. Gave me a room on first floor, as I had requested. Had some snacks available to purchase in hotel lobby. Air conditioning and wi-fi worked. Restarurant in other part of hotel had good food. A convenience store with a good selection of snacks was open just a 2-minute walk away. One dead cockroach on floor. Power went out briefly (less than 5 minutes each time) several times during evening.

• Maria (3/5): Poor - Israel the reception man was very polite, Was not accurate in location is very far from the centre.The rooms were poky, claustrophobic you cannot be in then without air con.I got food poisoning from a chicken in bad stage I have for dinner the night B4 I left in this hotels restaurant.they didn't take any responsibility,when mentioned to reception.When we went to pay by card they said machine didn't work and we have to get the money for them, we have to pay for the transport to go to ITM machine in the centre,they didn't bring any solution.Would I come back? No!

• Elizabeth (9/5): Jeyads Lodge had everything we needed for our stay. - The property was clean and the staff were professional. The air conditioning was excellent and the beds were very comfortable. Our only “problem” was that our toilet didn’t flush. However, there was a bucket that we could fill with water to flush it that way.

• Roland (6/5): Pleasant - Friendly receptionist They did not want to issue a VAT invoice until I insisted. The windows are protected by armor and the emergency exit may be blocked in case of fire. I find this dangerous. The shower sink is smelly. The Restaurant staff only gave me my change when I went there for the second time to ask for it.
• Monica (7/5): A nice place to stay in the Northern region with a great restaurant. - When I visit the Northern Region of Ghana, I always stay here. There's a convenience store nearby with everything and it's easy to get a yellow yellow nearby. The food is also great. I didn't get a chance to get my favorite spaghetti this time. Maybe next time. The Wifi didn't work.

• Roberto (2/5): Wont recommend this place - They helped me get a shuttle to the airport early in the morning. Far from the city, in the middle of nowhere. The restaurant was terrible; I had to look for the waitress to make my order; the food was awful, the fish was not fresh, and I could not eat it. They have a running machine in the aisle without proper ventilation, which does not work well.

• Hannah (6/5): A good and safe place to stay in Tamale. Don’t try and pay in USD! - The room was nice, clean, comfortable and safe The payment process was difficult. It is very difficult to pay with USD (despite telling me otherwise prior to the visit- they only accept $100 bills). They do however accept credit cards (contrary to what it says on Booking.com).
• Malissa (9/5): From the airport pick up to the check out Jeyads Lodge met all my needs! - I like the airport pick up. The staff were warm and welcoming all the time. The breakfast was fresh and ok, wish there were more options. The pool was a plus, even thought I forgot my swimsuit and yes I will be using it when I return. I stayed here before and I looked forward to staying for more days than I did but I took a long time to book during the festival season. I wish they didn't book up so soon but I will be back again.
• Naoko (7/5): Good! - Could eat meals at reasonable prices. Fufu was delicious! Clean and modern interior. Located next to a gas station and a shop. An additional charge was required to pay by credit card.
