- Spyros (6/5): Great apartment , view & location, just needs quality furnishings. - Liked the location . The apartment was a good size , with 2 good sized bathrooms. Great views . Beds basic & uncomfortable. Shower was blocked & had to unblock drain before using. Limited Kitchen utensils & some were plastic & cheap.
Blinds , some did not work , and others are old and worn. Bed linen old & needed upgrade.
Apartment furniture in need of upgrading .
Apartment in need of a good clean , dusty ect.
- Andrew (4/5): The staff were very rude and we couldn't use the pool until an induction was completed .......... - The hosts honesty and promptness in solving the issue We couldn't use the pool until we had an induction from the hotel concierge. The staff were very rude and informed me the only time they would do an induction is between 1700&1800....... It was my daughters birthday. We were unable to use the pool.
- Larry (9/5): Fantastic - Pool and the gym - the facilities. The view etc More towels for the bathroom
Seperate pool towels
Two sheets
- Aoife (7/5): - Location of the property. The beds were incredibly comfortable 10/10 The sofa was horrendous. Metal bars sticking up through the fabric
- Fiona (8/5): -
- Jess (8/5): -
- Danika (7/5): -
- Hannah (9/5): It was a very good stay for the family - The view The parking
- Ilisa (10/5): FMily was happy - Location the view was beautiful.apartment was clean Maybe a dryer would be a bonus
- Amit (8/5): -
- Aaron (5/5): Disappointed - The view Furniture is cheap & poor quality. Lounge is probably the most uncomfortable I have ever sat on. Also, having to do an induction with the building manager to access the pool & other facilities. Concierge (on weekend) could do nothing than say no - useless.
- Lauryn (10/5): Great place for short stay! - Amazing views from property & ammenities in building are incredible, master bedroom bed was very comfortable and kitchen is supplied with ample utensils to make meals
- Leila (8/5): - Place was lovely and very comfortable and clean To access the pools and spa you had to do n induction at 7pm at night due to the buildings rules. So it made it impossible for us to get to. And reason we booked was to spend our down time in the lovely facilities but we were not able to this due to having commitments at these times. When it could of just been a questionnaire web pages form. Very silly and disappointing.
- Andrew (3/5): Appears as a high end property in photos but I fact is a very badly equipped grubby apartment - The view was good and the beds comfortable Very badly equipped. Plates, plastic cutlery, the most uncomfortable sofa I have experienced anywhere. Grubby marks on walls. Carpet stains, dusty plastic plants. Lack of glassware, cheap linen and pillows
- Joe (9/5): -
- Kylie (5/5): Great view, uncomfortable bedding. - Great view and position, close to things. The bedding was uncomfortable and not very nice. The pillows were awful, like rocks. There was a thin quilt, no top sheet. The bottom sheet was pilling ( in both rooms). No extra blankets, etc. Couldn't access the pool area. The lounge was not comfortable and could only seat 2 people.
- Boxu (8/5): -
- Tina (5/5): - The spa was beautiful. Not sure why we couldn't use the heated indoor pool. The fact you had to fill out a form with your details to be able to use the spa. (Body corporate rules). It would be ok if you could do it anytime but it was only at 8am or 7pm so we lost half a day that we couldn't use the facilities. That is what I had paid for! 🥹
- Tim (8/5): - View was amazing Couldn’t access swimming pool
- Stevens (9/5): Perfect place to stay - Great location and amazing views!
- Hill (7/5): Nice view, hard to find. - The view. Very hard to find the place that had the keys and hard to get to with luggage. When we got to the Asian food shop that had the keys they required a code for a lock box which we did not have. They told us to call someone and we had to search for a number. Eventually got code from host and lo k box was empty. Host searching for key. Lots of calls while waiting outside a shop. Still no key for 45min. No directions from shop to appartment left us searching and dragging luggage around. Eventually checked in 1 hour after arriving.
- Paul (3/5): - The spa and pool were lovely. Was too cold for the pool, but very nice to look at. General cleanliness was lacking.
Bedding (pillows) mouldy.
Towels had holes and stains.
Some soaps and washing liquid watered down.
- Jen (8/5): - The location & the amenities close by A few needs needed cleaning. The kettle was gross & the washing machine still had dirty washing in it
- Darren (8/5): A great based for a staycation or explore central Melbourne. - We loved our stay here the apartment has a spectacular view over the Domain, Tennis Centre, MCG and eastern corner of the city. The building has good facilities including pool for those inclined. On the ground floor there is a cafe, Woolworths and Asian supermarket. Making obtaining a morning coffee and daily staples a breeze. It’s a 5 min walk to Crown and Southgate, within 10 mins you’re at the NGV, City or South Melbourne. The apartment has two beds and two bathroom s offering those travelling with Friends or family privacy and space. Our only real gripe is the couch, the wooden frame is uncomfortable to the point it was easier to sit on the dining chairs rather than couch. A decent couch would elevate this stay.
There was also a shortage of spare toilet paper. Only two rolls . Easily solved though.
- Knight (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nashwa (10/5): Sheer Serenity - The location is amazing and the amenities were clean and simple making the space feel like it had great Feng Shui. That I couldn't stay longer.
- Jo (9/5): Superb -
- Tevita (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alanna (10/5): Exceptional - Location and good set up in the apartment There was a few stains on the carpet and beds weren't comfortable
- Barbara (9/5): Superb - location and size of apartment was great The beds were very uncomfortable
- Anne (7/5): Good - We didn't have breakfast at the location The view was amazing, however, the windows were very dirty so the view was not clear.
- Jenifer (8/5): A night in Melbourne - Nice location and walking distance to the river. Nice apartment building and close to grocery stores and restaurants. A bit of a strange check-in procedure as you have to go to the Asian grocer by woollies to get the keys for the apartment. Also parking is on your own and in the evenings can be quite tricky trying to find a spot on the street as the apartment does not have any on-site parking. Otherwise nice space and good location.
- Sonbek (8/5): Good Value, well located southbank apartment - Looks like previous guests haven't taken much care of the carpet in the Master bedroom, which is stained quite badly. Could use a serious clean or replacement.
- Mark (4/5): Disappointing - Key pick up is a bit avg and we had issues with getting into use the gym
- Jessica (8/5): Very good -
- Kris (8/5): Great unit, would love to stay longer - Amazing view from the fortieth floor No public transport
- Meredith (9/5): Superb -
- Sandra (8/5): great location and awesome views - location and views
- Taylor (9/5): Superb -
- Sally (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ashley (10/5): Exceptional -
- Helen (7/5): Good - It was a great spot We could not use the facilities pool, spa, gym as you had to do an induction and there was one session a day and the times did not suit. So that ment we missed out.
- Louise (6/5): Overall great location but poorly equipped for the price and single key was unacceptable - Location, view, pool and gym, supermarket on tap No second key made using the apartment and the facilities difficult as everything was controlled by the key fob - we were four people so we couldn’t go out separately.
The kitchen was very poorly equipped - no small sharp knives, large serving dishes and bowls. One small tee towel
Sofa was very uncomfortable and didn’t sit four people
Both bedrooms only had one bed side table
Property had no instructions as to how to use appliances etc,
- Grant (7/5): Good but some inconveniences caused byu the managers. - The location and views were fantastic. The apartment itself is modern and nice. There was no AC in the second bedroom. There were no hand towels and there were not enough glasses, plates etc. We paid for an additional night at the front end of our stay we were arriving early and the managers confirmed we would be able to access the apartment when we arrived. Our flight arrived at 6:00am and we got to the property at 7:15 am only to find that the shop (where we had to pick up the keys) did not open until 9:00 am. In addition there was only one set of keys and our party wanted to go to different events which was inconvenient.
- Mikala (4/5): It was okay, it wasn’t what we were hoping for when we booked. - The view was lovely No reception, no access to pool or sauna without an induction, not the stay we were expecting.
- J (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nicodemus (9/5): Excellent location with great views and modern facilities - The accommodations were fantastic with excellent amenities and a convenient location. The presence of Woolworths, a bottle shop, and an Asian grocery on-site made our stay incredibly convenient. The host was very helpful in ensuring we were settled in comfortably. Our family was excited to utilize the pool, gym, and sauna facilities, which did not disappoint. The lap pool was a favourite, making it great for morning lap swims. It is important to note that an induction with concierge/reception is required to use the facilities (basically, filling out your name through a QR code and acknowledging the dos and don'ts) Overall, this venue offers great value for money in a prime location. The beds and pillows could be better - didn't have the best sleep. The washing machine is a bit noisy and rattles a lot when it spins. Cleanliness could improve slightly.
- Reece (10/5): Exceptional - Loved it amazing apartment
- Sara (3/5): Make sure you are there to do a facility induction otherwise the things that lure you in are locked. - The view from the apartment was stunning during the day and at night. The location was fantastic and convenient for access to Melbourne and surrounds. The internal apartment facilities were generally good. We could not access the pool, spa or gym as we were not able to do an induction to access the facilities. The induction is only available 8am Saturday and 7pm weeknights and we checked in at 3pm Saturday (the earliest we were allowed to arrive). The host did not seem to know these building rules. It was very disappointing to not be able to use the pool or spa, as they were big factors in selecting the apartment for our stay. I had very disappointed kids for the two days and nights we were based there. I also spent $180 in parking within the building, which was also a shock. Only one of the two bedrooms had aircon and the second one was very hot at night and in the morning as the apartment faces east.
- Laura (6/5): Great location! Apartment wasn't as clean as I would have expected, but still pleasant enough -
- Kelly (10/5): Amazing!!! will return - Stunning building with outstanding facilities. Pool, spa, sauna, gym.
amazing view from floor to ceiling windows.
Woolworths, BWS and coffee shop locations below.
Walking distance to DFO, Crown, CBD, and sports arenas My only complaint and it’s tiny is we had to do a build induction to use the facilities which the concierge only do at 7pm they are not flexible. We couldn’t access anything until this was done and it was literally a QR code and online form. We didn’t know we had to do this until we got there. The sauna was out of order real shame as one of the reasons for booking.
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Julie (9/5): Great Apartment with Spectacular views of Melbourne. - The view is second to none - spectacular. Ideal location for where we needed to be. Bed was comfy. The apartment is quite warm, needing the air conditioner put on when there. Once turned off, it heats up again quite quickly.
- Stella (9/5): Modern, clean and sophisticated apartment of great location 👌🏽 - Amazing property in fantastic location! clean and modern facilities and great views. Kitchen and bathroom were beautiful and had all the facilities we needed.
The pool & spa are stunning 🤩
We had a very busy stay and found it really convenient having the late night Woolworths next door! And only a short walk to Southbank restaurants 🙌🏽
- Yuan (8/5): Very good -
- Randeep (8/5): Very good - location and view
- Vladimir (3/5): The room needs good cleaning - Location and view are awesome, very impressive! 1. In the living room, there are black streaks and stains on the walls, cracks on the doors are poorly patched, not sanded down, and look very rough.
2. There is a dirty spot on the carpet in the bedroom.
3. The exhaust fan in one bathroom doesn’t work.
4. Red mold is visible on the walls.
5. The water drains poorly.
6. In one bedroom, the window doesn’t open.
7. The bed linens are very wrinkled and may not be fresh.
8. The extra blanket is very dirty, covered in stains.
9. It says the sofa can be used as a bed, but it’s uncomfortable for sleeping, with a large greasy stain and crudely stitched-up holes.
10. The air conditioner vent is covered in layers of dust, making it unsafe to use the air conditioner.
11. All the kitchenware is chipped.
12. There’s dust all over the floors, no one is cleaning the room.
13. The stove in the kitchen is dirty.
- Allen (3/5): Poor - Location Very poor arrangement for luggage storage and key pick-up. Storage was behind a counter in Asian grocery. Apartment was spacious and ideal for 2 couples travelling but not clean and looked like sheets not changed. Rubbish found in areas and no tea, coffee or milk supplied
- Angela (6/5): Great views and location - location and views room amenities and furniture were below average and place was dusty and dirty
- Anne (9/5): Fun time in Melbourne. Lovely apartment. Great communication with the friendly, helpful host. Great views and close to e - Lovely apartment.
Loved the shower.
Big windows - had a great view.
Close to everything.
Woolworths that opens till late and BWS downstairs. Only 2 teabags and no coffee or milk supplied, but Woolies downstairs.
No hairdryer - which travelling with 3 daughters is sort of a big deal haha.
- Matt (7/5): It was an ok place to stay on our trip away. - The view Long black hair everywhere
- Mazharullah (8/5): Very good -
- Apoorva (10/5): Amazing stay with beautiful views of the city - Loved the view the most.. A little hot inside the house but manageable.
- Kim (9/5): Or Or red etc for a short stay and best views - Great location and views over Melbourne. Close to everything Not many extras but supermarket very close
- Carolyn (10/5): Great view, great location, great apartment - Conveniently located. Great view. Comfortable, Clean.
- Alinta (9/5): Excellent apartment, great location with stunning views. - Host was quick to respond to call and re-arranged a lock box for key when our flight was delayed.
Location and apartment was fantastic. Amazing view, great price, kitchen had everything you need. Not enough bedding or towels supplied for our 5 guest booking. Only 4 towels for all of us and no shower mats or face washers. No tea towels. No linen for pull out bed.
All very small things: we were extremely happy overall and would definitely stay again.
- La (3/5): Poor -
- Kylie (9/5): Superb -
- Raelene (9/5): Superb -
- Jordan (2/5): Very poor - The property was in a great location The apartment was dirty, not clean at all. The floors were dirty and also had spilt stains on them like it was from a bin bag getting carried out or some sort of liquid. There was hairs on the bathroom floors and food still in the sink plug/drain. Mould in the bathroom sinks/showers and dishes still in the dishwasher from the people before us.
- Aakarshan (10/5): I love to stay there again and again. Must stay on this place. - It's excellent & awesome stay at Melbourne skyline serenity retreat. I was not expecting this but it's a remembering tour for us.
- Matthew (10/5): Exceptional - Modern, clean and magnificent views. Close to everything.
- Michael (9/5): . - . .
- Desma (8/5): Great for our needs for one night! - Apartment was as described. Great views. Easy to find. Great to have Woolies and bws downstairs. Would have been nice to have a bath mat and face cloths in the bathrooms.
- Keren (9/5): Superb -
- Adil (9/5): Superb -
- Lisa (9/5): A convenient location with a well appointed clean apartment - The property was good for our purpose, that is a two bedroom apartment. No coffee was provided.
- Robyn (10/5): Exceptional - The apartment was spacious and clean. It had such an amazing view! My family and I really enjoyed our stay. My husband and kids loved the pool too.
- Milana (7/5): A pleasant stay in a central area of Southbank! - The location was very central to areas of Southbank like we had hoped. It was a cheap / quick trip via Uber to the main CBD too which was convenient. Walking distance to some lovely cafe's and the casino.
The room was on the 40th floor so the views were pretty breathtaking!
I enjoyed the convenience of the layout of the accommodation, my sister and I had separate rooms and the master bedroom had an ensuite. The layout was perfect for what we were hoping for.
The property was tidy and easy for Uber's to find us for pick up / drop off.
We found the pool on the last night we were there so unfortunately did not get to experience it, but it looked absolutely stunning. In warmer months it would be a very nice place to spend the day I am sure.
Communication with the host on the first day was helpful.
The apartment felt homely with the decor and we liked that there was extra pillows in the cupboards too. I didn't realise upon booking that this was a residential set of apartments and we were renting off a host rather than the hotel itself. This was extremely confusing for us when it came to collecting the keys because we were directed to pick them up from a convenience store and they weren't available without a 'code' - but we didn't know we needed the code beforehand and the convenience store person was not helpful at all. Luckily the host responded quickly and assisted, but there was a lot of stress and confusion from our end initially. After two separate flights and a day full of travel this was a bit of a rough start to the trip.
When we finally got to the room I was disappointed to find that the toilet was soiled in the ensuite and there was no scrubber available to clean it up. The rest of the room was in immaculate condition so I thought this just must have been accidentally missed when it was cleaned.
We tried to reheat some food in the microwave and after about 2 minutes of being on it overheated and stopped working and wouldn't switch back on no matter what we tried. It did turn on the following day, but we didn't use it. The washing machine was broken - it would not switch on. We checked the switchboard and nothing was tripped, we plugged it into other wall points too and still no success. That was a big let down.
We would recommend - a new washing machine, new microwave, an ironing board (so we can use the supplied iron) bathroom cleaning supplies available, more towels available, and clearer info about the accommodation and how to get keys / to the apartment prior (maybe a map or photos?) and better info about the facilities in the hotel available for guests (it was actually our Uber driver who showed us pictures of the pool!
- Singh (9/5): Superb -
- Leanne (2/5): DO NOT STAY HERE !!! - Location It was very dirty. Wet and dirty tea towels, dishcloths left for us to use and no help from owners when asked for clean ones. We were told to go and buy new ones from Woolworths. Bathroom and kitchen was filthy with soap scum on ledge in shower and mould. Kitchen grease and grim all around hot plate. All the windows and mirrors had fingerprints on them. Bed was and pillows were like sleeping on a slab. Bath towels were sooo thin. Only a frypan for cooking. EVERYTHING was dirty !! Only one set of keys supplied, which made it very hard if one couple needed you come or leave separately. Owners were very rude.
- Leahy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joel (7/5): Good -
- Kim (9/5): Excellent views and clean, high quality accomodation. - Proximity of key pick up location.
- Jian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kylie (5/5): Was ok - Location Air con did not work
No face washers
Blinds not working couldn’t sleep
Draining issues in bathroom
- Nicole (9/5): Superb - The apartment was great, excellent location, very convenient. The location of the pool wasn't advertised in the building so we had to ask. No face washers were provided. These were very minor inconveniences though.
- Tim (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful property close to everything fantastic views and sens sensational facilities Were you had to pick up the keys from was not very convenient
- Sarah (10/5): Would stay again - In the ad, it was missing some information that would be beneficial to mention. It included an area to relax and sit, with tv's outdoor pool, indoor spa, and a pool table. The location was great for going to Crown, it's right above Woolworths and a cafe. There is unsecured parking nearby. The room and building were very clean, lifts were quick. We were on the 40th floor and the view was great. Everything was fantastic, but the room didn't have a microwave and I needed one.
- Earnest (9/5): Superb -
- Kath (10/5): Great views - Fabulous location great city views.
- Melissa (10/5): Would definitely stay there again if visiting Melbourne, the location was convenient to everywhere, only a 5 minute walk - Location was perfect for us, the city view from our apartment at night was amazing. We could walk anywhere we needed and had a supermarket directly below us which was convenient No microwave or clothes dryer in the apartment and only enough cutlery for 3 (was fine for us as there was only 3 of us but for a larger group it’s not enough)
- Hazel (10/5): Very high-end looking apartment with top-floor views! - I really enjoyed being on a high floor apartment! The place itself is fitted with nice decor and had a modern feel to it. It was spacious! Also, it's located above the same building as Woolworths and an asian store so getting groceries and other random snacks was super easy to do! We also enjoyed the gym, and liked the idea of swimming in the pool although when we tried, it was waaaaay too cold so probably a better idea to swim in summer haha! Terence was a lovely host who is very accomodating and is always quick to reply to my questions. All in all, I really enjoyed our stay here! It's a nice little base in Southbank :) The place is a bit of a distance from the nearest tram stations (about 5-10mins away maybe) so if you have a lot of luggage with you, a taxi or an uber is probably an easier way to travel in and out of the apartment (which was no problem as there were plenty around).
- Makour (10/5): Amazing I recommend to all - My favourite place so far. The apartment was beautiful loved the view especially at night. The apartment was beautiful two big rooms amazing place. Terence was awesome and reliable fast responses.
- Jules (10/5): Amazing, really loved staying here and great value for money. - Beautiful apartment, very clean and spacious, amazing views, perfect location too just above Woolworths. I wish there was a microwave to heat my lasagna.
