Guest Reviews
- Webster (2/5): Overpriced, over regulated and unappealing. - Nice view between trains passing, Easy walk to beach. My partner and I did not like this place at all. It was old and in poor repair; the toilet flusher was broken as was a tap fitting. The room was cramped and poorly laid out with shabby fittings and zero aesthetic. There were insects and dirt all over the sill of the bathroom window and the narrow balcony was shared by a row of 5 units on the first level. We had to pick up the keys in town which took us 20 mins. Our first impression was disappointment because we paid $660 for two nights and in addition were charged a bond of $500 which I haven't received back yet after 9 days. We were reminded of heavy regulations regarding our responsibilities in cover letters and on signs in the room. This was advertised through booking.com but it was handled by a real Estate holiday rental group who I believe leased this bedsit when all accommodation was booked out over Easter. We felt like we were intruding, especially when access to our door was past a full-time resident's door. We stayed at the Kiama motel 617 the following night and it was such a pleasure because we could relax in a clean, spacious room which cost $90 less for the night. I felt ripped off staying at Bombo Studio. It is not what it purports to be.
