Guest Reviews
- Gambalonga (9/5): Host e servizi dell'appartamento ottimi. Posizione ottima. - Posizione, Host ottimi Accesso scale a chiocciola all'appartamento e quinto letto singolo non comodissimo.
- Trovato (8/5): -
- Tiffany (8/5): - The location was magically, giving a fantastic take on Rome, particularly the food scene. It comfortable housed 4 adults and 1 child. Our host was amazing, responding swiftly to any questions or concerns we had before and during our stay. Host was also accommodating allowing early check in with our luggage. Though the location was beautiful there was lots of street noise in the evenings. If windows were fully shut it could be minimised.
- Gerard O'Connor (7/5): - Location was good. It was a little cramped
- Ema (9/5): -

- gemma (8/5): A fantastic Roman break in a great location - Location- we could walk everywhere Only issue was the street noise but there is nothing that can be done about it. The location was great.
- Cherylene (8/5): Very enjoyable, - Location Noise
- Alice (9/5): Excellent location - very good choice - we were so happy with our decision. - The location is exceptional - Eduardo was lovely and met us at the property. We loved our stay! The triple glazed windows do keep out the street noise as best they can. It is very lively down there, hard to be annoyed when you're hearing people have fun. It's nice being in the heart of all the action.
- Lisa Esso (9/5): Great apartment in lively Trastevere - Roomy apartment, clean and very well equipped. Felt it was good value for 3 days in Rome. Loved the washer/dryer and some nice touches such as tea, coffee, fans in all rooms etc. Host was attentive and friendly. Location was in the heart of Trastevere which was great in terms of restaurants and bars - lots of great choice. Access to some parts of Rome good. Area felt safe at night too. As others have noted, location was nice but a little too noisy/busy at night time for us as on main street. Not a big issue though for us
- Angela (10/5): - Fantastic hosts, apartment had everything necessary and lots of wonderful little extras. Location was quite noisy. Very active nightlife in the street below, wonderful location to access the nightlife, but it did remain noisy until very late.
- Claire (10/5): Fantastic - We absolutely loved the apartment and its location. Eduardo was very helpful and accomodating. We would highly recommend.
- Dimitris Lind (9/5): -
- Simona (9/5): Il proprietario è eccezionale sempre super disponibile a darci molti consigli !!!
- Justin (10/5): -
- Karen (9/5): We had a great stay, the host was very helpful. - Great location, very well equipped with everything we needed. Nothing. Note, as per other comments, the street can be noisy at night, we brought earplugs and all good!
- Rebecca (9/5): Perfect location and comfortable stay - would highly recommend! - The property was clean, in a great location and perfect for our family (2 adults, 3 kids) stay in Rome. While it is situated on a street which is very busy at night, we were never disturbed by noise as the window glazing was very effective! Eduardo has set the property up really well with everything you need and was so helpful and kind on check in. Note though there are lots of stairs to access the property and the street outside was cobblestones and narrow so I was glad we didn’t have a huge amount of luggage. We caught the bus and walked from termini very easily. Would DEFINITELY stay here again! The stairs, but the location more than made up for it!
- Andre (6/5): Might suit a couple or family with one child - Loved the location, Right in the middle of the action with no shortage of restaurants located all around the apartment. There was street noise on the Thursday Friday and Saturday night past 3am. The apartment was comfortable and nicely decorated if not a bit quirky (like an old yacht or barge). This might be ideal for a traveling couple as there is a bedroom situated away from the main windows to the street front and our son said he could not hear the night hustle and bustle as he stayed in that room. Our other son who stayed in the single bedroom (cabin) also said he didn't hear the noise. My wife and I stayed on the squeaky pull out bed to the front and were kept awake with the street sounds. Edoardo was really helpful with explaining the access details upon arrival and gave us good tips on places to go for food. He was great with communication throughout the whole process. My only other criticism would be around the booking process. When searching for the accommodation I put in the search criteria that I was searching for accommodation for 2 adults and 2 children, the booking only booked the accommodation for 1 adult (the search criteria reverted back to the original setting). This was picked up prior to our arrival and I was charged an extra €200 on top of what I had already paid. I felt this was exorbitant and a needless charge as I had booked the full property initially.
- Kimberly (9/5): We had a very nice stay with good access to everything we wanted to see and the apartment was modern and well prepared. - It was modern, had nice furnishings and everything we could have needed for our stay. It was in a very busy and loud neighborhood so we couldn’t open the windows and it didn’t have air conditioning.
- Karim (10/5): Comfortable & enjoyable, overall excellent. - The apartment is nothing less than perfect. Spacious, very clean, cosy, and very well equipped with all what you need (and more: you have tv screens/monitors everywhere, Apple monitor in the living room, PlayStation, etc.). Other facilities & available services are exactly as listed on the property's page with nothing missing.
Location doesn't need a lot to say, it's simply in the heart of Trastevere, with all what Trastevere offers to its visitors (but in this case you will be temporarily a resident, so you are expected to like staying in such lovable noise 🙂).
Finally, the host. I can't say well enough about Edoardo. A polite, kind, and welcoming man with great attention to detail. He was very helpful and assisted us with luggage, even his lovely wife was there to help and facilitate check-in. He provided recommendations and kept in touch during our stay to make sure that we were enjoying our stay with nothing missing.
Overall, and in short words, that was one of the best places I ever stayed in, in Rome or anywhere else. Nothing, we liked everything.
It's just worth mentioning that you should expect to climb narrow stairs with luggage for two floors, as there is no elevator (in case someone has mobility limitations).
- Nick (8/5): Charming apartment in a very fun & lively neighbourhood. - Very warm welcome and an amazing place - it feels like you are on a ship! Very cleverly designed, getting the most out of the space. The main problem was the noise - despite the triple glazing the apartment is in a VERY noisy street. Take ear plugs!
- Lyubomirs (9/5): Superb -
- Matt (9/5): Phenomenal location and facilities right in the heart of Trastevere! - Phenomenal location, cute apartment, had everything we needed for a successful stay. One room is considerably tinier than the others and our 6'3" teenager opted to put the mattress out in the main room instead. Other than that, our stay was wonderful! Edoard was a responsive and welcoming host!
- Robin (9/5): We were very comfortable here, and enjoyed the interior space and location. - Hosts were very kind and helpful, the location was close to various public transportation options, and lots of restaurants, bakeries, etc. We appreciated the coffee, kitchen supplies, umbrellas and the great shower, (one of us is over 6 feet). We liked the Japanese/boat-like esthetic of the place. A small coffee table in the living room would have been convenient.
- Jeremy (10/5): I highly recommend Maison Bilot for your stay in Rome. - We absolutely loved how central Maison Bilot was. Edoardo was super attentive and kind to provide us some great recommendations around the area (Popi Popi is a great place to go for Pizza and Pasta if you are in the mood)
You are walking distance to many restaurants/cafés & touristic parts.
The beds and main areas were very nice and comfy to be in. We had all necessary amenities available to us in the kitchen, washroom, common areas and bedrooms.
Due to the proximity of where we were located, there was some outside noise on some evenings but it wasn't too bothersome for our group.
- Donald (8/5): We really enjoyed our time there! - The place had everything we needed! Plenty of space, nicely appointed. Fantastic location, with a great host. Edoardo could not have been more available and helpful. Really squeaky floor in the bedroom.
- Emma (9/5): Brilliant location in Trastevere - The apartment is in a fantastic location in Trastevere, close to a pedestrian bridge over the river so that it is easy to reach all parts of central Rome on foot. The apartment was great: a high-ceilinged space with windows at one end with the wooden, cabin-like bedrooms up the stairs and kitchen/dining area/shower-room/storage area all compactly arranged down below! This was great for our needs - near to all the action - and the owner, Edoardo, who met us on arrival was very helpful. Recommended.
- Vincenzo (10/5): Exceptional - We booked the place because of the excellent location, but after a couple of messages we realised that in the bargain we were gaining a good friend in the person of Sig. Edoardo, who promptly interveened personally to help with some travel and logistic issues. He remained in touch to check if everything was fine and then saw us off at the end. The place is very cosy, comfortable and functional.and 5 of us were very happy with it. Some may find the steep staircase to the 2nd floor a bit challenging but my 75yo mother on law who gets easily tired managed it fine.
- Anthony (9/5): Maison Bilot is a winner! - Awesome location in the heart of Trastevere.
Edoardo has a fantastic apartment here that is surrounded by food and drink by a mere 5 minute max walk in any direction.
The apartment is alot bigger than the pics look and extremely clean and well stocked with the little things.
The air con was very much a blessing after exploring the streets and sights of Rome on foot for hours each day.
Communication with Edoardo was excellent. He was very prompt in every reply.
We can not thank him enough.
- Sandra (10/5): Amazing week in Maison Bilot! - We loved everything about our apartment, Edoardo has everything you could possibly need in this apartment. We were so comfortable, from fast internet to dishwasher to washer and dryer and in an amazing location. Thank you Edoardo for a wonderful and memorable stay!! N/A
- Doug (9/5): Superb - Excellent communication with the owner, he greeted us on arrival. Great location, easy walk to all the sites and excellent restaurants in the area.
- Judy (9/5): Superb -
- Jennifer (10/5): Lovely apartment in the heart of Trastevere - The owners were lovely and very communicative. The apartment had all the wonderful amenities I could have dreamed of, including a computer to use, tv's everywhere, and nice air purifiers. The apartment is a very interesting design, almost like a ship's interior. Very cozy, yes spacious. We were incredibly pleased with our stay. The best place we've stayed in our 4 trips to Roma! I loved everything about it! Fantastic place!
- Sandra (10/5): Best place to stay in Roma - Location, the street, Trastevere, walking distance to many of the famous sights.
Edoardo the perfect host.
The apartment, beautiful inside and filled with nice gadgets.
- Virginia (10/5): Excelente!! - Maison Bilot is absolutely perfect , confortable and Edoardo is super nice and helpful!!
- Adam (10/5): Charming apartment for a family of five in the heart of Trastevere. Edoardo and his wife greeted us so warmly. Nearby - So close to restaurants.
- Lucija (10/5): Perfect acommodation on a great location - The location is amazing. The apartman has everything what you need and even more. The host was very polite. -
- Kristy (10/5): Great stay, would highly recommend. - Great location in Rome, could easily walk to everything. Apartment was very well designed, small but good use of space and enough room for family of 5. Host was amazing and so helpful, could see how much effort he has put in. Lots of little extras which make it feel like home. Nothing
- Juliett (10/5): Fantastic - The property exceed our expectations in every way. The apartment was not only beautifully decorated but also immaculately clean. Edward has a keen eye for detail, and it’s evident throughout the space.
From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcome.
I would highly recommend this place. We look forward to returning in the future
- Victoria (10/5): Great Host! Best Location! Excellent Apartment! - This apartment is excellent! We selected the apartment based on the location to JCU where our daughter is studying for a semester. It was our first time in Rome, we stayed for 16 days and could not have chosen a better location. The apartment was roomy, modern, clean and comfortable. It had all of the amenities that we needed, fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, and updated technology.
Eduardo the host is extremely helpful, caring and friendly. He was always available for any questions we had. He greeted us when we arrived and explained everything about the apartment. We really enjoyed visiting with him. He is the best!
The location is unbeatable, very lively and close to so many restaurants, bakeries and shops. We loved frequenting the restaurants and bars on the street during our stay (Vecchia, Vanda, Ristorante Antico Caffè del Moro Trastevere). The apartment is within walking distance to just about everything in Rome, although we always ended up back in Trastevere (our favorite place). We highly recommend Maison Bilot!
Thank you so much Eduardo for making our first trip to Rome a memorable one! We hope to return and see you soon! Nothing, everything was great.
- Mary (9/5): Very enjoyable - Very spacious, great location, easy access to apartment. Streets very noisy but the apartment had good windows that blocked most of the noise.
- Miranda (9/5): Best location ever. Would be great for a young family as it had all the comforts of home including - Breakfast was not included. Easy to buy as multiple cafes around the property Very steep stairs. My friend and I are over 65, however our host did help us when we needed our bags to be taken up and down the stairs.
- Carolyn (9/5): Great, pleasant host! Clean and comfortable apartment. - Edoardo was a very kind and hospitable host. He went out of his way to meet us upon our arrival. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and quiet. A washing machine and dryer were present. Our stay was pleasant. We notified Edoardo of the shower not draining. Be careful with the stairs since they are a little steep.
- Alex (10/5): Superb! - This apartment is superb! The host is extremely helpful and friendly, the location is unbeatable, and the apartment is very well designed to maximise the use of space. Having traveled extensively throughout Europe and the USA this year, this apartment was the very best place I have stayed. I would thoroughly recommend staying here, and plan to stay here again myself, when I venture to Rome again. Although every place has its unique charm, and idiosyncrasies, I really can't fault this apartment.
- Varga (10/5): In the heart of Rome. - Totally renovated and really fully equipped modern flat in a medieval old building. In the heart of the city next to the riverside, narrow streets, numerous fabulous bars and restaurants. Lot of people, high night life but You can still have good rest and sleep. The major attractions are approx. in 10 to 45 minutes walking distance (including the Vatican and even the Forum Romanum). Extremly helpful Host even carring the luggages on the stairs. Unfortunately our holiday is over.....
- Peter (9/5): Superb - I loved the property. very unusual design only problem was the shower temperature control didn’t work very well. it was either too hot or too cold
