- Anonymous (1/5): Didn’t stay left to another place - Nothing Everything, it’s dirty all over from the place to the sheets, full of mold, smells like cigarettes and no one there to actually help. It says it has air Cindy and it doesn’t.
- Pontus (1/5): Horrible - Nothing No ac and cramped for being a deluxe room, I got no information at all when I got there and location was wrong
- Jocasta (4/5): Disappointing - Great area, staff/host replied quickly. Broken window seal and mould around the edges. Woke up coughing and was ill for a few days after
- William (5/5): Cheap and gave us a bed to sleep in - Cheap and close to Hyde park Room was very tight and hot
- Stacey (2/5): Too hot no human interaction - Nothing only good thing was the location. Far too hot to sleep in a room with no windows in a basement. Pretty sure when I booked the price was £130 somehow I’ve been charged £180 Waited 20 or so minutes for a reply nearly ended up in the student accommodation next door as the wrong adress is on booking.com
Would have been bearable if they had towels but some reason there wasn’t any
- Gary (2/5): Absolutely terrible and disgusting from start to finish - Location Was disgusted with how dirty everything was floor all sticky and towels dirty actually couldn’t believe it. Kip
Was no one at reception, left sign on door to ring this number for your lock box number went straight to voicemail waiting hours to get through to them. Was a horrible experience and me and my friends are not fussy just wanted a place to put our heads down for one night but this place was rotten
- Dionne (3/5): While there was free water and Pepsi in the building. I didn’t feel my son and I were totally safe in the event of fire. - Free drinks in the kitchen and location to Hyde park We were in the basement and there was no air circulation. There were holes in the walls and the large mirror kept on falling down on me. The bathroom was dirty with broken tiles and door lock. There was no information on fire escapes etc. so so hot
- Emma (2/5): Extremely Disappointing room. - The location was good
Bottles of water available at the entrance. Had to help yourself.
Large quantity of toilet paper. (6 rolls)
Selection of brand crisps. Approximately 10 little cakes available.
Clean bedding There was no email or any form of communication to advise me of the precise location of the hotel. No communication of the access code for the building or advising which room my daughter and I had been booked into. I had to call the contact number to find this out. When I sent a message via booking.com to ask for the access code again, I didn't get any reply. Thankfully, there was another guest there who was able to advise me.
The room door DID NOT lock. No security at all. I had to use the door chain and place an obstacle in front of the door.
The room was extremely dated.
Room had a musty damp smell. Walls were flaking. The bathroom door wouldn't close. Bathroom dated. The cupboard under the sink was rotting
Broken bedside drawers. (Handle hanging off)
The flooring was old lifting laminate
Only 1 towel was provided for 2 people. There were no hand towels or a towel to place on the floor.
No kettle available.
No iron available
It wasn't very clean
The photos on the booking site do not match the room that I was allocated.
I am unable to load any photos to show what kind of accommodation I was offered.
I was very disappointed with the room I was given. I felt that my booking was forgotten and an extremely substandard room was given. There was nobody on site to help with any queries. Only a mobile number to ring.
- Marigona (2/5): Very poor - The location was the one thing I truly appreciated about this accommodation! Communication with the hotel prior to our stay was nonexistent, making it very difficult to get any information in advance. Without reading reviews from previous guests, I wouldn't have even known where the entrance was, as there was no visible signage. The property appeared not to have been cleaned in years, which significantly impacted our overall experience. Additionally, the room was extremely small, and we had no choice but to keep our luggage on the beds due to a lack of space.
- Anonymous (1/5): Bad -
- Foimaroeng (3/5): Poor -
- Anonymous (1/5): اقامه سئيه جدا جدا واتمني أن الا اعود إلي ذلك المكان القذر - Nothing I liked about that dirty place. I booked a double bed with a bathroom inside the room. They gave me a room for six people. The smell was very bad. I called the housing manager and told him to change the room, but he did not do that. He ignored me as if I was nothing. I gave him more money than he was entitled to, and he did not return the rest of my money to me. It is a very bad place, and I hope it is closed so that other people like me and my wife do not go there. The place is dirty and does not meet anyone's requests and the room's appearance is not as it appears in the application It has a very bad smell.
- Emma (1/5): I didn’t stay I left it was that bad - This place was filthy and nothing like it is shown.
- Tomislav (1/5): Bad -
- Uwandi (1/5): Bad -
- James (5/5): Passable - location front door keypad lock didn't work when we returned from our night out, luckily another guest let us in.
- Amanda (1/5): DO NOT BOOK!! - The location for Hyde park & Albert Hall. We didn’t stay for the 1 night we booked, found alternative accommodation and have requested my money back.
The room was nothing at all like the photos! I made the mistake of not reading reviews before I booked this accommodation! Deluxe double room, it was a damp basement room with no natural light, no view, dusty and dirty, cobwebs everywhere, mold in the shower, floor was lifting.. door wouldn’t open properly due to the huge sofa behind it! Just awful … this place wants closing down!!
- Sharon (2/5): Not pleasant; never again - Fly & spider infestation in the room. No one to ask or help.
Damp / wet beds
- Anonymous (1/5): Bad -
- Savarino (4/5): Disappointing -
- Kirstie (1/5): We didn’t stay here - Absolutely nothing place was disgusting It was advertised as a hotel and was in fact a hostel beds were awful no space in the room whatsoever ever was told by staff the manager would contact me I have contacted them twice since being here and they will not respond to me
- Jack (1/5): Bad - The place did not exist, BOOKING.COM did not give me a refund and asked me to contact them directly after the day of my planned stay, which makes no sense whatsoever, they replied on an email address that i couldn't respond too. (Booking.Com) ...
I thought booking through an established platform, there's no way the place wouldn't exist, but, i was wrong.
AVOID THIS "PLACE" AND DO NOT BOOK THROUGH BOOKING.COM
- Nigel (4/5): Disappointing. No code supplied so had to leave key on bed texted to advise - location poor information not supplied (no full address , no access codes required , hotel has no name sign . phone numbered supplied no answered until 40mins later .) a kitchen with tea and coffee but no cups found on 1st floor .
- Saad (1/5): Bad -
- Gianfranco (1/5): Great location. Awfull experience / service - Location Were to start…staff barely present, not helpful and roughly spoke english.
Dated, not well kept, not properly cleaned, fridge with mold and mattresses had springs barely coming out , to top that up our room (No15) had a crack on ceiling that poor water down to the floor at 6 o’clock at night!!
When staff was challenged about the situation the reply was a “ahh.. yes, sorry….” (With a nervous smile) which indicated they clearly knew about it. shameful for the price…
- Grace (6/5): Pleasant -
- Zydrone (3/5): Poor - Just area No kettle for morning coffe
- Kree (5/5): Great location but not obvious to find as there's no signage. No windows or cups. - Location as our main reason for booking was to go to a gig at the Royal Albert Hall. There were no windows in the room or bathroom. There was also mould above the shower. There were not cups or glasses. The only lamp in the room wasn't plugged in.
- Piya (1/5): Bad -
- Gibney (1/5): Bed Bugs and Holy Bathrooms in Hyde Park - Location is the only plus and they answered the phone and had a nice guy on the door.
No response to email as yet... Wowsers, bed bugs, smelly toilets, fungus in the shower with a hole in the floor and a nasty set of beds.
Beds were made of sponge with holes and behind the beds was disgusting.
We did not stay for 2 nights as we moved and expect to be reimbursed as no one slept more than 20 minutes on our initial night after we found bed bugs crawling on the top of the bed we booked another place.
Photos were misleading and the bed sit showed up on my feed randomly. This should not be advertised as a hotel and should not be advertised by Booking.com
- Mccoy (10/5): Exceptional - I loved the kitchen - it was stocked with tea, coffee, and biscuits among other treats. It had a balcony and we cooked food in the kitchen. We enjoyed the custodian, Adel. He was very friendly and kind. The showers were hot and the beds were very comfortable. The hotel was cheap and in a great location, clean towels and sheets. I would totally stay here again and felt very safe.
- Zofia (2/5): Very poor - The view from our room was nice, we could see the Hyde park from our room on the 3rd floor.
It was warm during the night. Very dirty room and extremely dirty bathroom!
- David (6/5): Pleasant -
- Hidde (1/5): Bad -
- Marianne (1/5): Extremely dirty and falling apart. Nothing like the advertisement - The location was ideal. The one member of staff we interacted with was friendly. The building looks like it's going to fall down. My brother is a structural engineer and noticed a number of unsafe features within the building. When we entered there was a toilet leaking through the ceiling. The drawers in the rooms were dirty, we felt like we couldn't unpack our things. The blankets provided were tired, which again gave the feeling that they were dirty. The general feel of the place was dirty and uncared for. We did not have a private bathroom, despite it being advertised as so. The bathroom we did have access to was filthy like the rest of the place. The shower floor, toilet bowl, toilet seat, flusher and sink were visibly unclean.
- Jess (1/5): Bad - Nothing. It's an absolute shit hole. Filthy. Stinks. Bugs in the bedroom and bathroom. WiFi doesn't work wich means the TV in the room doesn't work. You feel dirtier getting out the shower because it's that filthy.
- Olanike (1/5): Bad - The location is excellent, but the rooms are dirty, it wasn't a good experience.
The rooms need to be renovated.
No reception to welcome.
WiFi should be individual rooms. There is nothing to write home about.
The room online is not what I got.
I couldn't bathe today because of the dirty bathroom.
- Xavier (1/5): One of the worst places I have stayed in. - Nothing Dirty
Uncomfortable
Not worthy it at all
- Aleksandra (1/5): Bad - Close to london atractions
Easy access to public transport - close bus stop
20min walk to South Kensington Underground Station
10min walk to Natural History Museum and Science Museum or Albert Hall
Less than 10min to Kensington Palace
3min to Hyde Park Dump on the beds Dump on the ceiling
No wonder why if they provide - 2 Electric heater - cheap one - not safe - no radiators in the room at all - one of them was not working but problem was solved by the staff
Big crack on the window U can't to open windows
Bathroom ffs - when you expect customers please clean the bathroom because it's disgusting to see that mess 🤮🤮🤮
They provide water
Iron hairdryer in the room
Double bed and 2 single bed in the room - not space at all in the room
2 double socket
Cheap place for save money if u wanna just sleep and all day exploring the London
- Syed (1/5): I have submitted my complaint for refund - Nothing it was disgraceful Everything / damaged flooring, very uncomfortable mattresses, you touch the bedframe/ devan as soon as you sit in it, no tv no WiFi, broken wardrobes with nothing to hang the clothings, kitchen all mouldy , toilet sink were full of people being sink, blocked toilets , my wife hurt her foot from the damaged flooring, some images attached. Could not sleep all night
- Nataliia (1/5): Very dirty hotel -
- Cathy (1/5): We did not stay there we booked elsewhere and left straight away, the property was the biggest scam - Everything was horrendous it was like a prison we would not recommend this place to anybody, the beds were broken as were the bedroom furniture, was promised three beds in the picture only got two, everything was dirty with other people’s hair and grime, shower was absolutely filthy and so was the toilet,
- 7modgamer (1/5): Bad -
- Sebastian (3/5): Poor -
- Nergaz (1/5): Do let anyone book this hotel because very dirty - Na thing Na thing
- Saul (2/5): Very poor -
- Nathan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sam (1/5): Everything! It’s not a hotel, it’s a hostel. A dirty run down hostel. I was silly & went off the pictures & not - Nothing! I could say location to the winter wonderland but I’d of rather walk a distance from a nice clean hotel Everything! It’s not a hotel, it’s a hostel. A dirty run down hostel. I was silly & went off the pictures & not the review. I expected the family room that is pictured, as you can see from our photos that’s both what we got. Holes in every wall, tv bracket but no tv, beds are DISGUSTING! Curtain pole just about holding up the curtains etc etc etc. This is the first review Iv ever left on a property Iv stayed in & that’s to warn people DONT! As we arrived late afternoon to go winter wonderland we didn’t have time to change hotels (or I would have) the pictures taken were the next morning beds were made on arrival not that it made it look any better.
The place is so run down
- Rhanzais (1/5): Bad -
- Freeman (1/5): Terrible - Close to Hyde Park I regret to say that this hotel was a major letdown and severely impacted our trip. The experience did not match the expectations set by the misleading photos and description online. The room was nothing like what was shown, and the condition of the property was unacceptable.
Upon arrival, we were shocked by the size and layout of the room. The door was incredibly narrow, requiring us to walk sideways (I weigh only 7 stone). Even worse, the door couldn’t open fully because it collided with the bed, making it difficult to access the room. The space was cramped, with no room to move around or store luggage. The beds were positioned so closely together that it was almost impossible to pass between them, and the area between them was filthy, covered in dust, hair, and other debris.
The single bed in the room was not only stained with black marks but also lacked a duvet, which added to our discomfort. The window was held together with tape, and the shared bathroom was dusty and poorly maintained. There was no central heating, only a small, ineffective space heater, which left us shivering throughout the night. We had to sleep in our coats with a towel for extra warmth, and unfortunately, our friend was left without even a sheet or blanket.
In addition to these issues, there were only two towels provided for a three-person room, and there was no shower, which made the towels effectively useless. The overall cleanliness of the room was appalling – dust covered every surface, and it was clear that proper cleaning and maintenance had been neglected.
While the location of the hotel is in a lovely area, the state of the property itself was disappointing and far from acceptable. I strongly advise potential guests to reconsider booking here, as this experience was far from the standard I would expect from any reputable establishment.
- Siobhanlouiseann94 (1/5): Do not recommend - We are extremely unsatisfied with the basic hygiene and condition we found the room in . The bed sheets and blankets were stained , the shower was covered in soap scum, had pubic hairs on the floor, the toilet seat was dirty and broken, there was toothpaste spit on the wall and the tiles seemed peeled from the wall and barely holding on, there was layers of dust indicating that surfaces wasnt cleaned for a long time, along with dead flies and other debris. A cracked window letting cold air . I woke up in the morning with what appeared to be bedbug bites. After checking under mattress, we found a dirty bed sheet that had been there a while. I don't believe that a place with such conditions should be running as a hotel business.
- Cc (1/5): Scam. Horrible experience. Don’t book with them and waste your money - The address given does not exist for the property. NO NUMBER WORKING TO SPEAK TO ANYONE, MONEY WAS TAKEN AND NO HOTEL WAS THERE AND NO ONE ANSWERED FOR THE CALL. I tried to get my refund as deserved after realising the postcode did not match properly and I had walked up and down the whole road looking at all the buildings and not one of them was for the address given. Not one of them had Lamont hotel written for visitors to find the place. I’m convinced it’s a scam just set up to take people’s money as I tried to get the refund through booking.com but they stated “as no one from Lamont Hotel responded to the complaint that I had not even been able to enter the property which wasn’t to be found there was no way to prove I did not actually stay there” and I couldn’t get my refund which I find absolutely ridiculous and horrible given the circumstance as it is not in my fault whatsoever and is a scam. It doesn’t exist and no number working for the property or hotel
- Magdalena (1/5): Bad - The location Absolutely nothing like the photos. Its dirty and moldy. Also shared bathrooms.
- Saad (1/5): Bad -
- Jellard (4/5): Disappointing -
- Shahid (1/5): THIS IS NOT A HOTEL YOU WOULD WANT TO BOOK - Nothing I did not like anything about this property, below is a list of reasons why
1. I did not feel safe in the room as there was a very weird garden attached to it and the door was broken and anyone could gain access to it.
2. The bathroom was vile, the smell emanating from the bathroom was making me feel sick , a shaving blade was left in the shower, floor was dirty, mould building in and around the bathroom.
3. The “hotel” did not have a sign to say it was a hotel, once you walk in, a man gives you a key and you go straight to the room.
4. The chair in the room was horrendous, it was very very dirty.
5. The walls in the room were damaged
6. I felt disgusted as soon as I sat in the bed
- Asair (10/5): Exceptional -
- Leonardo (1/5): Bad -
- Yacine (1/5): Terrible -
- Kyra (2/5): Was not impressed at all the hygiene of the rooms was atrocious and staff wasn’t overly helpful and could hardly ever fi - decent location wasn’t clean, dust everywhere and cobwebs, mould in the shower, room was boiling hot, mirror falling off the wall, kept awake all night by people in the next room and staff did nothing about it until the next day in the afternoon. The only thing they did was give us an extra towel and move us rooms the next day which that room was only slightly better
- Mark (8/5): Very good -
- Philippa (1/5): Terrible - Nothing Everything
- Nichola (3/5): Don't stay here - Location excellent - royal Albert hall 5mins walk away. Faces Kensington Gardens. Booking dot com only gave the postcode, there is no name on the building so it was hard to find (#36 Hyde park gate). No answer from calling the number. There is no person/reception. You are texted a number to get in and assigned a room that way. They communicate / respond to questions via text. Common areas very poor. Room didn't feel very secure. There was one toilet and sink on a landing one floor down (I assume for all the rooms to share). No bathroom or shower room as far as I could see. Room was cold and noisy.
- Francisco (3/5): Complaint Regarding Unsanitary Conditions and Poor Maintenance of Facilities - We enjoyed the location near Hyde Park Dear Lamont Hotel Management,
I am reaching out to express my dissatisfaction with the experience during my stay at your hotel, from Tuesday December the 3rd to Saturday December the 7th.
Unfortunately, the condition of the establishment did not meet the minimum hygiene and maintenance standards I expected, considering the hotel’s category and the price paid.
Among the issues I encountered, I would like to highlight the following:
1. Unsanitary Conditions:
• The cleanliness of the room was inadequate; I found unpleasant odors and stains on the blankets.
• Common areas were in poor condition, with mold on the walls and humidity accumulated on the main hall.
2. Deteriorated Facilities:
• The room’s furniture and fixtures were in poor condition, including mold stains on the bed frame and water leaks on the roof.
• The bathroom facilities were inadequate, as some of the wall tiles were almost dropping.
No appropriate measures were taken to resolve them, which was highly disappointing.
I am therefore requesting full compensation for the inconvenience caused and for the failure to meet the minimum quality standards advertised. I expect a response to this complaint within a reasonable time frame before escalating the matter to the relevant tourism authorities or public review platforms.
I am available to provide further details and photographs documenting the condition of the accommodation.
Sincerely,
Francisco Bilekera Mesi

- Allison (1/5): Unfortunately we did not stay advertised as a hotel but it’s a hostel, no staff just a piece of paper on the wall to con - This is not a hotel but a hostel !! Nothing nice about it. No staff, damp smell when you walked in, dirty , unsafe to stay as no staff on property.
- Rimmer (1/5): Cheap but filthy and in need of modernizing - It was the only room available for under £200 The hotel room was extremely dirty. The shared bathroom appears to have never been cleaned.
Whole hotel needs modernizing and cleaning
