Guest Reviews
- david (10/5): Fantastic hotel in a superb location. - Fantastic hotel in a brilliant location.
Spotlessly clean and the staff were so friendly.
The bedrooms are really nice - lovely little touches with great bathrooms.
The restaurant and bar have a lovely atmosphere and good value for money.
Overall a great place to stay. Everything was to our liking - couldn’t fault anything
- Bousfield (10/5): - We loved the room and the veiw. The staff where so attentive and polite, they couldnt do enough for us .breakfast was amazing
- kemes (10/5): Very enjoyable - Sea views Nothing
- Simon (10/5): -
- Andrew (10/5): Great location, clean and comfortable room. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food very good. - Only negative is the lack of parking. This is clear on the hotel website, but not on the booking.com website.
- pauline (9/5): Delightful - N/a
- Janette (10/5): Great stay - Great hotel, friendly staff. Dinner and breakfast lovely. Shame restaurant shut early but understand due to time of the year.

- Christine (9/5): - The staff were very friendly and willing to go the extra mile.
The bed was very comfy.
Amazing position on the front with everything we needed on hand. As happens in many hotels i'm afraid, the rooms must be designed by men. The mirror was on one side of the room but the plugs were on the other.. this made it very difficult to blow dry or curl my hair. A very minor complaint which wont stop me returning but i must remrmber to take my own mirror..
- gudbjorg (7/5): Would visit again - Situation and sea view View from my balcony and the dirty deck floor
- Trevor (8/5): Would return - Great location right on the seafront
- Guest (10/5): -
- Christine (8/5): - Great location. Sea view room. Good food at a reasonable cost
- Shauna (8/5): Beautiful room. Every comfort was thought of, attention to detail - Beautiful room, good location No close parking, restaurant closed very early
- Natalie (7/5): Good hotel, prime location, decent price - The hotel rooms are super comfortable, spacious and clean Breakfast was disappointing, the standard wasn’t brilliant. A few options on the buffet had run out. The waiter looked pretty busy/under staffed. Apart from that its a good selection on the menu, price didn’t match quality i’m afraid

- donna (9/5): Great location, splendid seaside break in style - Location was amazing. Loved our room, the little touches such as Welsh cakes with coffee cups was very thoughtful & bottles of water available to help yourself to.
Easy lift to our floor & all staff we came across were very friendly. Wasn’t sure where you were supposed to check in & restaurant smells of fish at all times! Which is a bit off putting when you first arrive. Room was very hot & couldn’t seem to adjust temperature. Towel rail didn’t heat up
- Mark (9/5): Great location and great staff. Would recommend. - Stayed for two nights. Great location and friendly helpful staff. Decent cooked breakfast (although I don’t like Cumberland Sausages or smoked bacon (why do they all do it??)) and a choice of a few cereals and toast. Rooms comfortable with a good shower/bathroom and very clean. The attached pub had a good atmosphere and a good selection of drinks. Would recommend and would stay again. Although I knew there was no parking, it was a bit of a pain and expensive in the nearby pay and display. Mainly because we had golf clubs that we had to lug back and forth from the room.
- Andy (8/5): - Fantastic staff very helpfull at checkin(aimee) rooms were lovelly
- Richard (10/5): All impressive room location staff 😎 - Everything Hot water tap to bath and shower wouldn’t turn therefore couldn’t have a bath or shower the morning we were leaving. Let reception know on departure.
- Joanna (8/5): Seaside upbeat hotel with a luxurious and comfortable rooms. - This hotel is right on the seafront, and has a busy bar and restaurant area where you check in. The room was very comfortable and we loved the decor, the thoughtful touches, the dog welcoming policy and the luxury bathroom. We would have liked to have had a sea view but forgot to ask for one! The cooked veggie breakfast was delicious. A radio alarm in the room woke us at 6am on Sunday! The management team did not take this very seriously which was a little upsetting. But overall we did enjoy our stay.
- Sarah (9/5): - Location, view, finishing touches, very friendly and accommodating staff
- heather (9/5): A beautiful hotel in a fabulous location . We enjoyed it immensely and will definitely be back soon - The location was excellent.
Really lovely bedroom.
Loved the relaxed vibe in the restaurant area.
Lovely food The taps in the bathroom were very confusing - or maybe that’s just my age!!!
- Xavier (10/5): - Decoració i serveis molt acurats No té parking ni descomptes pel parking del costat
- Steve (8/5): - Great food, evening meal and breakfast. No parking at the hotel. Had to park in the closest public car park. As a disabled person this was a bit difficult for me.
- Suzannah (9/5): Thank you for a really special birthday treat. We will be back! - Lovely location and beautiful view. Loved the feel and decor. Gorgeous hot shower.
- Gregs79 (8/5): -
- Scott (8/5): -
- PHIL (10/5): -
- Karen (8/5): Very pleasant and relaxing surrounded by great views - Food was good, super comfy bed and lovely staff Car park was expensive. Traffic noise being in a room over the main road
- Jade (9/5): Really good ! Had dinner too steak was amazing - Very clean and comfy beds- parking is a issue though down load the app prior to paying Booking.com
- rose (10/5): warm comfortable spot on very enjoyable stay would highly recommend - location was excellent breakfast and evening meals were fantastic great chef and service and good value for money the beds were extremely comfortable and so warm and cosy rooms were clean and as they should be facility wise had to pay for snacks provided in the room
- David (10/5): Great hotel, great location. - Very clean. The people were fantastic and really looked after you. Breakfast was cooked to perfection. Nothing
- Ross (10/5): -
- Stephen (9/5): -

- joanna (10/5): -
- Suzanne (9/5): Great location and very comfortable - The bedrooms were very tastefully decorated and lots of small thoughtful touches such as mini Welsh cakes for your tea. Parking is close but not on site
- Paul (10/5): -
- Alison (8/5): Nice time with good friends, pleasant staff. - Seafront situation Pay parking not on hotel premises & confusing to book appropriate timings. Cases had to be wheeled at least 50 yds in rain. Reception in bar though sign pointed to side alley.
- Steve (8/5): - We got the ocean view we asked for but only if you stand up by the window and don't mind being overlooked by the restaurant next door.
- Rachel (8/5): Exceptional staff and wonderful views and great food! - The staff are really exceptional here - we were travelling with my 90 year old mother and the lift was out of order - the staff couldnt have been more helpful and kind and considerate - every single member of staff needs a shout out at this hotel as the check in process is not easy for them as guests are unable to park outside the hotel. That is the only downside of a wonderful stay here - the rooms were excellent and clean and modern but it was the staff - have I mentioned the staff!!! The parking is not great as you have to use the public car park - which under normal circumstances is fine but if you have any access issues it is not great - but again we made the best of it and it did not ruin our stay and nor did the breaking down of the lift. I felt sorry for the cleaning staff who had to lug bags of linen up and down the stairs too.
- ALLAN (8/5): Not a bad place to stay for a few nights - Position Not much character. We were a bit out of season
- Höpli (10/5): - Sehr gute Lage, Essen war hervorragend Man kann sich die Haare nicht vor einen Spiegel föhnen....das Kabel ist zu kurz und es hat leider keine Steckdose in reichwite eines Spiegels...
- lee (10/5): Beautiful stay - Location, welcome, rooms were beautiful - looking fwd to a return. Nothing to complain about.
- Kathryn (9/5): Great stay - Clean
Location
Staff
- Clive (8/5): -
- Derek (8/5): -
- Deborah (7/5): Nice but not exceptional - Location Bedroom a little noisy
- Emma (10/5): Very enjoyable stay lovely vibe with welcoming staff - Lovely location quirky property with helpful welcoming staff fantastic views and peaceful Nothing
- larry (9/5): -
- JOHN (4/5): Very poor value - Location No answer to multiple prearrival calls, wedge on fire door by room, cost of parking, no bath, tiny balcony
- Helen (6/5): It was a pleasant stay due to the location. - The location of the hotel is very good The room was tired with drawers and wardrobe doors not closing. Routine maintenance is needed in the bathroom as parts were missing or seized up. If you have an allergy or are vegan you will struggle to eat at the hotel, luckily the restaurants nearby do cater for this so I would advise if you are going to stay here do so on a room only basis.
- Colin (9/5): A great stay for exploring the Gower - Location was excellent for exploring the village and the Gower. Lots of walking and things to see locally with some good restaurants.
The room was well appointed and nicely decorated. Lots of nice touches including a cracking shower, lovely soaps, shampoos and hand cream. A fridge with fresh milk, kettle and coffee maker and choices of teas, coffee and chocolate.
A big bed and comfy pillows.
Good choice for breakfast including wide range of cooked local dishes. No car parking! During busy times a parking space is harder to find than hens teeth! You have to park in nearby long stay parking lots for £17 every 24hrs which is an unnecessary expense.
- Rafael (8/5): Good location. - It’s very well located. Probably the best location in Mumbles. Bed is very comfortable. Bedroom has very good space, and ours even had a little terrace connected to their outdoor terrace. It doesn’t feel like a hotel. You arrive through the restaurant and get keys to your room upstairs with a staff that is definitely not there to greet you, just focused on the bar / restaurant. The hallway that led to the rooms had a strong smell (paint?), and we couldn’t open the windows as very loud music came from the bar / club next doors (Gin & Juice).
- john (8/5): Pub Hotel visit - Great location and view and lovely restaurant .check in and out very fast. I had a Seaview room which was great but music from restaurant below would be on later than I would have liked. The bath although with ceiling shower could have done with a extra flexible shower attachment.
- Clowes (9/5): - Lovely clean and modern good veiw right on sea front Parking 17 pounds per night car about 500 metres from hotel
- Gina (9/5): Nice hotel 🙌 - Lovely hotel and location Could be a tad less on cost but it’s a nice hotel
- Ria (8/5): Gorgeous hotel, fantastic location but didn’t feel like hotel residents were prioritized. - Love the deco, lots of amenities in the room, comfortable beds and the view was fab. Unfortunately we were woken by the hotel burglar alarm at 5:55am which wasn’t tuned off for about 20 mins or so. At the time we didn’t realise it was a hotel alarm. On check out we asked and told an employee set it off but another employee needed to get there to sort it out. Surely there should be a member of staff on site when there are hotel residents there? Also we didn’t receive a real apology for being disturbed at such an early hour. Thankfully we managed to go back to sleep but it didn’t spoil our morning. Hopefully this is unlikely to happen again but I think there should be a staff member there overnight for resident safety. Maybe there is but surely they would have the authority to turn off the burglar alarm.
- Jonathan (9/5): Happy to stay there again! - The room was absolutely delightful, thoughtfully decorated, styish, modern, very comfortable and very clean. Staff were friendly and helpful, they let me check in 2 hours early and check out 1 hour late. The location is super central, I thought it would be noisy overlooking the main road but the double glazing is excellent and the room was quiet (and very little traffic at night). And of course Mumbles is a great place -- lovely walks by the sea along the coastal path, friendly pubs, restaurants... The only one small glitch was the noise from the ventilation which I couldn't work out how to switch off completely. A related point is that it was not obvious when I booked that half the rooms face the road (so windows need to be closed) and half face the sea (less noise with open windows and of course a nice view). It might be worth making that clear when booking since it makes a difference -- I wouldn't have minded paying a bit more for the sea view room.
- Joanna (8/5): Very good -
- Ronald (10/5): Comfortable and friendly hptel - Very comfortable room. Clean and good provision of water and snacks. Nice bar and restaurant. Nothing much.
- Ciara (9/5): Lovely comfortable stay, I would return! - Great location, lovely room - it was so comfortable and had lots of little amenities! Bramley toiletries, a little bottle of fresh milk in the fridge for our coffee, some Welsh cakes on arrival!
Breakfast was great too. A couple of stains in the carpet
- Alison (9/5): Lovely accommodation, somewhat pricey considering it was not strictly a hotel. - Beautiful spacious room . Loved having a fridge. Accessing the accommodation was not private as some people did not shut main door properly.
- Linda (10/5): Exceptional - Seafront location, friendly staff, good food, exceptional cleanliness of my room and sea view. Close to car park and shops. Ideal for exploring the scenic area Nothing
- Gareth (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kenneth (10/5): Excellent apart from above. - Very good indeed. Just what we usually have so it was like eating in our own home.it said It said our room had a sea view, but it was only a very limited partial view from room 5. According to the description we were expecting a full view. It was acceptable but slightly disappointing.
- Gabriella (8/5): Very good -
- John (8/5): Great base for exploring the Gower. Helpful if National Trust member for beach parking. - Location brilliant. Breakfast excellent. Staff very helpful. Only local public car parking available. You need to download an app to get overnight parking.. We used MiPermit. £17 per 24 hours. Warning Easy to be in wrong car park.
- Richard (8/5): Very good -
- Annette (10/5): Excellent staff really helpful to me travelling with my disabled husband, An A* break for us both - not big breakfast eaters so only had continental which was perfectly fine.
- Bronwen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jane (5/5): Disappointing has potential if sort out parking or ability stop outside hotel to unload - Good breakfast and comfy bed and clean Location could not even stop outside to unload . Parking next door £28 day! So parked long way away. Noisy room by road. Very noisy persistent him coming through air vent. Flashing light on ceiling at night . Poor room maintenance Bath tap came off very difficult to work bath taps for hit and cold water . Fabric headboard a no no looked grubby. Entrance thru alley poor. Holes in net curtains . Defo not what thought would be from advert. Need attend to small things in room paint off wall in bedroom , holes in nets , grubby headboard , fridge door not working properly , paint off in bathroom and where loo lid hits wall , hand wash almost empty . Quality of room fittings good but you have not maintained room and bathroom . Turn off infernal drone him from air vent ?
- Richard (8/5): Very good -
- Alice (6/5): Pleasant - Really lovely place to stay, good location & facilities. Clean and comfortable room! Parking situation is poor, with a very expensive pay and display next door (£14 for 12 hours) so had to find street parking. Food is very nice, however service let it down! No consistency with staff, after the main meal was served, we were not seen to again, even though tables were near by.
- Joanna (6/5): Lovely location - The location and decor were great The food was mediocre and the breakfast poor and dis organised
- Sadia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Robert (10/5): Great location great staff and very comfortable - Great location, rooms stylishly decorated.
- Anna (7/5): Good - Loved the location and the room was nice overall One of the double rooms we booked was an accessible room but
- Julie (9/5): Superb - The room was lovely. Great touches like the coffee machine - I could actually work out how to use it, a first! The hamper of snacks was thoughtful. I had brought my own snacks but would have bought some of them if I hadn't. Lovely having a fridge and plenty of water too. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. The sheep was cute! I could go on! It was a shame I didn't have a sea view but I know to ask when I return. I would have felt safer in the shower if there was a hand rail.
- Elizabeth (10/5): Exceptional -
- Douglas (10/5): Lovely hotel - Lovely hotel and beautiful location. Very clean and comfortable room. The food was good too! Will definitely come back, hopefully for longer next time.
- Jessica (8/5): Very good -
- Stuart (7/5): Overall the staff, food and location made this a great choice for the evening however the cleanliness needs sorted out a - Good food and staff were friendly It isn’t clean, the communal areas and the rooms smell musty.
- Chris (9/5): Enjoyed it and will return when they offer a mid week deal - Great Thursday night deal enjoyed it great location
- Lesley (8/5): Very good -
- Wendy (10/5): Brilliant except for parkin. - Location is beautiful. Food is very good. Staff friendly and helpful. Very helpful with my dogs. Rooms are very pleasant and cheerful with thoughtful little touches like the radio and treat basket. Parking is a problem. If you pay for 12 hours it means you have to renew the ticket at 8pm and again at 8am so no lie in! Shame that there’s no arrangement between the public car park and hotel for residents.
- Lyndsey (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pamela (10/5): Exceptional -
