Noelle (8/5): - The apartment was well furnished and comfortable. The location was very central, within 2 minutes walk from the train station. Generally well equipped with all you would need for a week's holiday. The only fault I could find is that there were only 3 teacups, which meant the 4 of us couldn't sit down for a cuppa together.

Loraine (6/5): Pleasant - How close it was to the centre The apartment was very dated and we had a few health and safety concerns with some things in the apartment but when these were highlighted to the management these things were fixed immediately so cannot fault the reaction of the management.
Wendy (1/5): Would never stay here again unacceptable accommodation - Swimming pool only ★☆☆☆☆ Disappointing Stay – Unsafe and Poorly Maintained Accommodation I would not recommend this apartment to anyone. Our stay was extremely disappointing due to several serious issues that made the accommodation uncomfortable and unsafe. The air conditioning in the living room did not work until our final day — and when it did, it leaked water constantly. We had to place a saucepan underneath to catch the dripping water, which created a slipping hazard. The television was unusable because there was no accessible power outlet nearby. This was clearly poor setup and shows a lack of basic attention to guest comfort. The overall condition of the apartment was far below the standard advertised, and definitely not suitable for tourists expecting a clean, functional space. We contacted Booking.com and shared video evidence, but unfortunately no resolution was offered, which made the whole experience even more frustrating. The only positives were that the swimming pool was nice, and the location was convenient, right next to the train station. Sadly, that wasn’t enough to make up for the discomfort and stress we experienced. I hope this review helps others make a more informed decision.

Marybeth (1/5): Bad - Put me in 1st arp. With no hot water 2nd infested with cockroaches, for almost 3 weeks, 3rd just another horrible place, finally a decent place no bugs for 1 month. Never ever book with them again BEWARE BE VERY AWARE. THEY DONT TAKE CARE OF THEIR UNITES Read top section again and do not book with them the places are old tv's don't work, old furniture, just a cluster of junk. I didn't like anything shower so small, shower head broke. Counted the days before I could go home. Never rent from these people again

Excellent location Swimming pool access, need a fob to access the pool area and more often than not the mechanism didn't work. The life guards don't alow you access so it meant a trip to reception to have fob reset ! A bit of a hassle 🙄 also the mechanism beeps loudly every time it fails ! Lots of frustrated pool users during our stay!
Alan (3/5): Excellent location, dated decor which needs updating. - Older style property in terms of decor, but had everything that was needed. Location is incredible, short distance from the train to Malaga and Airport. Decor a bit dated, but sufficient, which dark tones/ wood / brown stone which does not give a sense of clean. There were some things in drawers from previous visitors that were not thrown out. There were some issues with insects / cockroach- I was told that had been fumigated a few weeks before but still some in the apartment. They had cockroach spray and were very apologetic when I reported it.

Janice (1/5): Bad - Pool wasn't filled. They said the pool was open for sunbathing only. Is it me who's crazy??! I specifically wanted a pool. Out of season is not an excuse, there are hundreds of hotels with open pool. I unfortunately chose the wrong one. The apartment was in poor condition, mostly I was disappointed about the pool. I couldn't stand to be there, and didn't stay even one night . I had to book another hotel. This time I can't say enough positive things . The Fenix Torremolinos. And not only was there a pool, it was heated. Last but not least, I can't get a refund from Nogalera.
David (7/5): I love the area, I’ve stayed in La Nogalera many times, this apartment definitely needs some TLC - Great location, secure surroundings Squeaking doors in the corridor outside. Sounded like the neighbour was rolling tenpin bowling balls along the floor half of the night. Toilet needs to be secured to the floor

We had to do it. Strong smell of old cigarettes smoke which was impossible to get rid of. Obviously a smokers apartment. Swimming pools and pool side area not accessible. Refurbishing in progress. North facing so quite cold and air conditioning very noisy when used to heat apartment.

Johnbmcr (9/5): Great location and VFM - great location really massive apartment huge bath and for the money well equipped the key for system was simple to use and the 3 elevators meant no waiting The guy on reception was excellent friendly helpful responsive and chilled getting there from the airport was a doddle Nice surprise to find it was right over the gay bars and clubs bit dated but it's a design classic of Spanish architecture form the early days of mass tourism should be a grade 2 listed treasure

Mary (5/5): Passable - Location was great. A few steps to coastal railway station as was everything else. Bang in centre. Bed was I think a king size and a dream to sleep in.. A large sunny terrace was ideal. Washing machine in situ (bathroom) was a bonus but there was great difficulty in opening it so the the bloke from reception needed to come do it for me. (See pic). The shower unit had two shower heads and again reception had to be contacted but this time it was later in the day when there was a response. Access to terrace had NO lock. Door was secured by a chain. Not the best.shower tray sealant had large open gaps, perhaps that's where the cockroaches came from. In the kitchen cupboard a frying pan had been stored without being cleaned! Greasy....yuk. few things in studio which need attention

I want to highlight the customer service, they helped us at all - The apartment is well located, close to restaurants, supermarkets, beach, and we always found parking. The apartment is a little old, it only had one full bathroom and there were cockroaches.

Train stadion is nearby and pedestrian street with shops and restaurants. Beach is 5 min away down the public path with stairs. The furniture is little bit shaby and old fashiond. The apartement was not cleaned once during out stay..
Mary (5/5): Passable - Location excellent,nice bar at swimming pool in complex beside our apartment Pictures were very deceiving. The pool that is shown in the picture doesn’t look like that and when we got there it was being renovated so we couldn’t use it. We could use the neighbouring pool which was very nice. But we had to ask to use that we weren’t told initially that we could use it. Also the pull out bed was filthy, it had hair and blood on it
Aleksandra (3/5): Poor - Very central. The staff were very accomodating and friendly. When you could get a hold of them. They could not do much to improve the apartments though as they do not own them. Internet worked. Apartment was old and deteriorated, walls and ceilings cracked and peeling. Signs of leakage on the ceilings. Of the promised pools there was only one and the bottom was coming off. The other pool has been under repair since September last year, apparently.. Construction noises were prominent. Magnetic keys we were given to access the pools never worked properly. Apartment had ants in the kitchen and bedroom. One of the rooms had horrible mold going down the ceiling and into the wardrobe, growth of a couple of weeks at least. Needlesa to say we could not use it. When we wanted to use more than one burner in the kitchen the main fuse would go off. Air conditioning unit in the bedroom was making noises of a jet engine, impossible to sleep with it on. Staff asked a technician to come and check it, and replacement of the unit was advised. The owner of the apartment refused to do anything though. Water outlet on the balcony was clogged, we'd constantly sit in a puddle of water. Beddings we old, worn and dated, transparent in some places. "Free toiletries" they advertise was 2 baggies of soap. We were 5 people. It is not worth the money.

But needing a lot of maintenance to come up to standard (eg skirting board off the walls, wardrobe doors not working well). Good lift service. 1. No link to Wi-Fi 2. Pool was being renovated so no drinks round the pool or sunbathing. If we had known we would have gone elsewhere. 3. Maintenance issues in the appt. 4. Water to the appt interrupted on the last days the stay: no advance warning. 5. Gardens being dug up so not always possible to get access through the front entrance. 6. Noisy neighbours- often woken in the night.

Louiseinleeds (1/5): Horrific - beds crawling with ants, we were covered in bites - absolutely filthy and disgusting - absolutely nothing - apart from leaving the property for good 12 hours after arriving The office was closed when I arrived as a single female alone at night in a completely strange area and country. I had received a message via booking.com to call a spanish number upon arrival to arrange to collect the keys. I called this number 27 times with no answer. I was walking around with my suitcase in tears. I had to ask a lot of strangers (male) where the accommodation was - eventually someone pointed me in the direction of the office, which was shut! Then I received a text saying - 'You have to see concirge' - I presumed they meant that I needed to find the Concierge in order to collect the keys, but when I replied to ask where the concierge was located - I did not receive a reply. A group of men helped me find where I needed to go because I was clearly distressed. Upon arrival, I noticed that the property was dark, dingy, very dated, peeling paintwork, damaged woodwork, etc. I sat on the sofa and was immediately itching from mini bug bites. I called one of my friends in floods of tears who was on her way to the airport to fly back to the UK who immediately cancelled her flight and came to my rescue. When she arrived, we dared to open the kitchen door and was met with old yellowing 'white goods', not crockery, no glasses, etc. She went to the toilet and screamed as there was a huge cock roach running up the wall. It was too late at night for us to do anything about it at this point, so we went to bed with the view of cancelling the booking in the morning and finding somewhere else to stay., My husband was due to fly out two days later to meet me, and as I'd explained to the property in advance, he was in the middle of treatment for cancer, so we needed somewhere very clean - this was not the case - he would have become very sick if he'd have stayed there.

Olivier (9/5): Down and up - Well first we ve been given an apartment on the first floor totally not conformed as the pictures ahowed on their add Air con was leaking a lot of water Poor equipment in the kitchen Not even a kitchen towel Cupboard handles broke Balcony door was not closing properly and as it on the ground floor anyone could walked in the studio After we talked and complained about the apartment they gave us ( the next day👎🏽) another apartment on the first floor Witch was really better woth all the equipments working and stable So a first night a bit chaotic Cause we have to leave balcony door open cause of the air con And a taxi station is in front on the street So very noisy

The pool bar closed for the rest of year after the 10th of September, which we were not informed about before we booked this or arrived and we’re all very surprised.
Brian (6/5): Had a brilliant time and made the best of a short notice break - The location was great for couples that like to go out for a few drinks. there are some bars under the apartment that stay open till about 02:00AM. No issue with that but if you had kids this might not be for you. The area was full of bars shops and restaurants all the way down to the beach. you can then get a lift back to the top of the town for €0.50 PP if you don't want to walk back up to the main area. When we arrived the person on the desk was a bit unpleasant. maybe we caught him on a bad day. He then took €20 from us for 2 pool passes to be returned if we didn't damage the cards. when leaving i had to ask him for the money back?? The apartment was dated. looked like something out of the 70s. The couch could do with been cleaned but we just put a clean sheet over it as we were only there for short times before going out for the day. One of the bed sheets had a couple of spots of what looked like blood on it so we changed that with clean sheets we found. The fridge was playing up a bit tripping out the electricity when we opened the door. The main toilet wouldn't flush without pouring a pot of water down it at the same time as flushing it.
Per (7/5): It was ok but not more. - It is not bad, it is just not very good. The reason I choose this apartment was that it has two beedrooms. It has two beedrooms. One rather small double and one single. It sleeps three, and maybe four with a stretch. It was very clean. We didn't watch the TV but there was one of fair size. The pool looks nice in the pictures, we didn't go near it. The water pressure in the showers were good. The toilet in the second (rather small) bathroom, didn't work for most of our stay. I told the reception but nothing happened. Water pressure in the bathroom sink and toilet was poor. When you flushed the toilet the next user had to wait several minutes before it was ready again.

Btnian (5/5): Will be a lovely facility once all the reconstruction/renovation has been completed. - The property is very well-situated in the main Nogalera Square, with easy access to local bars and facilities. The accommodation I was given was very spacious and appears to have been recently redecorated. Great kitchen area with hob, microwave and some utensils. The directions to the accommodation was a bit confusing. I found my apartment, but only after scaring a poor young woman when I tried to get in to her room. The bathroom appears to have recently been updated, however the bracket for the shower head was broken. It appears I stayed there the week that they were updating the apartment next door. I was woken every morning at around 8:20 without fail to the sound of hammering and drilling. There was also considerable groundworks taking place outside, which meant I was unable to open the patio doors to my apartment for the whole week. I am unable to give a review on the pool facilities as I didn't use it. I didn't actually know where it was until about the third day (no directions given at check-in, just a swipe card).

Anthony (2/5): Right location wrong choice of accommodation - The location and the air conditioning When we arrived, reception weren’t aware that we had already paid and we had to prove that we had paid in full We were shocked at how old fashioned the kitchen, Lounge and bathroom were. The kitchen looked homemade and had no kettle or microwave The bathroom looked like it had been fitted in the 1970s, the bath had scum marks on. There were blood stains on the sheets. No safe in the apartment.

Bill (9/5): Enjoyed my stay with plenty to do in the sarounding Malaga area. The purchase of a Travel card aloud me to travel around - Central for bus, train and taxis. Non any farther away than a couple of hundred yards. In need of a little TLC.

Tim (6/5): Apartmento la Nogalerra review - The location was great, literally centre of Torremolinos and about a minute from the station. The apartment was fairly good, although was expecting 2 singles rather than a double and a sofa bed. It was fairly clean, a good kitchen (which we didn't use though) and the WiFi was good - until day 3 when an engineer came to 'update it' which actually made us unable to use it. Overall fairly good. Wasn't aware the reception would be shut most of our stay which meant when we did have problems it was frustrating - especially as the number we rang it was tricky to communicate with as they didn't speak English (to be expected as we were in Spain!) Some of the down sides: The key for the main gate was pretty stiff so was tricky to get in, the pool was shut (not advertised on the website), the WiFi stopped working half way through the stay and the shower wasn't very intuitive to turn on - although once we were shown how (on the 3/4 day) it was good.
Alojzy (8/5): Very good - position of property there was no service. Towels were not changed in 4 days or bed linen, and nothing was said that the property was on ground floor and people could look in
