- Bush (4/5): Disappointed - Great location. The property was dirty when we arrived (dirty plate and spoon and wrappers found in bedroom, outside table was filthy, dead flies in lounge room, had to empty the dishwasher, food from previous guests in fridge, smelly rubbish left in wood bins). We were unable to light the oven as there were no instructions or any way to light the oven. Kayla did not respond to messages so I had to call. During this phone call she also let me know, when asked, that we should not drink the water so we had the additional cost of buying bottled water. So disappointing because the house and location is lovely.

Bins full, dirty glass in bedroom Linen clean but stained Pool and bbq area had not been cleaned at all

- Jennifer (6/5): Pleasant - The house was a great size and furnished quite well. Position to town was good. Check in and out simple. The outdoor facilities were not like the photos. The pool was green with slime in it , the filter not working. The garden was overgrown and courtyard was full of weeds and the outdoor fireplace hadn't been cleaned. The grass was long and rubbish was around the house.

- Chris (8/5): We really enjoyed the quiet location and the large spacious house. - Downing Estate is well located, a short drive from the town of Heathcote and close to many wineries. The house is spacious and is well equipped for cooking at home. It is very private which makes it an excellent place for a group to stay. The heating made the house was lovely and warm and the open fire made it very cosy. The BBQ was old and didn't have a grill facility.
