Guest Reviews
- Christos (2/5): -
- Umer (10/5): It was great. So nice and clean room and washroom. - It was nice and cleaned I really liked the washroom really cleaned.
Everything was perfect the amount I paid accordingly. The main door to the property was I bit hard to open with key.
- Matthew (7/5): Good - Place was nice and clean and the location was only a small walk from the station I wasn’t sure what I needed to do on check out or whether the downstairs kitchen was available to me
- Abigail (1/5): Terrible because we didn’t get access - Hard to leave a review when we never got to stay in the property. We tried to arrange for a late check in (due to the time of our flights getting in), but they didn’t reply to us. And when we tried to contact them when we arrived, they just didn’t answer the phone. Looked like there was key safes on the wall, but no information on how to get into them. We needed to find last minute accommodation elsewhere. Very disappointed and do not recommend.
- Jacek (7/5): - Location was convenient. Front garden, entrance, staircase - old carpet, smell of nicotine /cigarettes
- Suzanne (7/5): Good -
- Miller (1/5): Bad - The key didn’t work to get back in
The room was dirty from the last people
The code for the door was wrong
- Kilty (8/5): Very good -
- Chris (1/5): Awful and will never ever go back. I’d rather sleep at a bus stop! - Close to where I needed to be but that because where I chose! There is no house number or sign on the door. As soon as you opened the front door you was hit by the most disgusting smell which went all the way through the 3 floors. The carpets were disgusting not sure when they were last vacuumed never mind cleaned. The walls were covered in filth in the hall and stairs. The bannisters were broken and dangerous at the top as you could fall through. I opened the room which was number with a piece of scrap paper, there was a half opened bottle of water on the side, the bed wasn’t made and it stank! Never again and I would appreciate a full refund, there were a lot more problems like an intoxication resident shouting in the early hours and just generally needs to closed down by booking.com as unfair on people to spend their money for what I can only describe as the worst experience I have ever had when it comes to staying away from home. It was like a crack den on steroids!
- Sandy (5/5): Passable - Check-in was easy with a key locker at the entrance. The bathroom was convenient and big enough. The bed was very uncomfortable. The walls are very thin. We could hear every word our neighbours were saying.
- Nam (1/5): Bad - The hotel is not available. We cannot find the above address.
- Munachim (1/5): Generally a bad place to stay. Facilities stated are not in place. Room and beddings very dirty and smells, toilet not w - There’s nothing about the place to like The person that is running the place is just ripping people off. What is advertised is not what is seen. You could state how dirty the place is from entry. All the rooms is occupied with people permanently which is scary on arrival. The room I stayed has a permanent occupant who perhaps just left for the night. The beddings are dirty and smelly, the toilet unwashed. I called the management severally as I wanted a change or refund, he promised coming immediately but didn’t show up thereafter and ignored my call all through. No smoking, but you could notice people smoke inside the house on arrival.
- Danny (8/5): Very good -
- Jennifer (1/5): nightmare - not thing i was unable to stay at the property the room was dirty the mattress and pillows filthy the bathroom smelly with a dirty wet mop in the shower . contacted oweners requesting my money back because i could not stay had to rebook somewhere else very costly.
- Szilamer (2/5): Very poor -
- Zuzana (5/5): Good property in share house with a drunk housemate. Room with private bathroom. - The price it was very cheap for a room with the bathroom in this location. Very good location near the train station Tulse Hill and buses from London Victoria or Brixton. The owner should take a time and write the instructions properly.
I booked it for our Student from abroad and he came late in the evening. He had a trouble to open the keys safe on the wall then I send someone else both could not open it. Then the drunk man appeared and he said what do you want in my property? The house does not have any number on it and the houses next door are same...
The WIfi network was wrong with the password. It seems it was replaced with completely different one.
The owner was helpful replied the call when needed and send the locksmith to open the key safe.
- Jeremy (4/5): Well located for attending an event in Brockwell Park, but very low standard accommodation - The hosts were good at responding to queries and we were able to check in early. This place isn’t really a tavern. It’s some bedrooms at the top of someone’s house. The decor is poor, with scuffed walls and ill fitting curtains. The towels we were given were thin and looked like they’d been around since the 1970s. There was lipstick on one of the pillowcases and the bed was not comfortable. Also the walls were very thin and we were awoken in the middle of the night by the guest in the room next door making telephone calls. The kitchen area of the room has only one cup although the room is for two people. Also the curtains are so thin the room was bright with sunlight by 5:30am in May.
- Mishal (7/5): Good - The sunlight in the morning was delightful. Overall acceptable cleanliness. Bed was made but needed either washing or more dusting.
- Cachimuel (1/5): Mala limpieza - I can say that it is one of the worst apartments I have ever seen, the sheets are not changed and there are traces of hair from the people who use it, the mattress has damaged springs and the cleaning leaves a lot to be desired.
- Zoe (7/5): Cheap and basic, you get what you pay for. - Room was tidy and comfortable. Very basic but fine if you only need a bed to sleep in for the night. Very close to Tulse Hill shops. Wasn’t obvious where it was located, entrance was not the most welcoming.
A jug but no cups or cutlery.
- Osman (7/5): Good -
- Joseph (2/5): This place have much potential but needs a more professional approach. - The location was convenient The heater didn’t work some nights causing me to get sick. The TV remote didn’t work. Supplies from the contract was not provided upon arrival. Mini fridge, blow dryer, extra towels, dishes, utensils, pots and pans were only provided upon request. The bed sheet was as similar to a pice of cloth with unsewed edges. Hot water was off for a day. Incorrect key code was provided leaving me out in the cold for over an hour. The landlord wasn’t answering his phone.
- Alysha (7/5): Would use again - Easy to access the property/room. Clean room/bathroom. Would happily stay again Ended up leaving early due to a power outage so didn't stay the night, however when the light in the room was on it was a bit sharp due to no lamp shade.
- Ezekiel (1/5): Bad -
- Oliver (1/5): discussing and landlord/ owner is a nightmare to deal with never answers phone and has lied to me about a refund tha - nothing it was the worst experience the bedsheets smelt very dusty, bathroom had other occupants clothes all over the floor. hallway entrance to room looked like the beginning of a construction site.
- Krzysztof (1/5): Bad - The neighbor living next door greeted me offering sexual offers and started showing his penis, very strange and doggy place, dirty floor, I do not recommend
- Ide (1/5): Bad -
- Jhow (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jack (1/5): Please - despite the cost being affordable for the area, avoid this property. - Honestly - there isn’t much to enjoy about this property. The breeze from the loft window was the highlight. Turned up on Monday to a house that was being used as part hotel, part rental property (there are no staff onsite - I walked into my room to a half naked man already in my booked room. I was advised by the staff once I called that I could make use of another room (not an en suite) for the time being but I really just wanted to get a shower after a long days work and a 45 minute journey to the property. The fact there was already another guest in the room - meant the sheets/towels and everything was already unclean - the staff I contacted explained they would bring me clean linen - I was kept waiting until 10:00pm and then they never arrived, it wasn’t until 3:00pm the next day that I actually received the clean linen. So I had spent the night without a clean sheet on the bed, which is quite disgusting. I was then ignored by the staff for the majority of my stay. When I finally spoke with the staff I was told that the first person I spoke with, was actually double booking rooms and taking cash from guests. This stay was possibly one of the worst stays I’ve had in the last year and I’ve stayed in hotels for work consistently each week for 8 months. I have since had contact with the second member of staff - whom said he would look into reimbursement for the issues I have faced but I honestly have little hope for this.
- Babatunde (10/5): Exceptional -
- Katarzyna (9/5): good value for short stay :) - location, facilities and cleanliness
- Jennie (8/5): Very good - A key safe so you could come and go as you pleased.
