Great for bringing our small dog The back courtyard was great for our dog to explore however not really useable for people to enjoy. Would be great to have a proper sitting area out the back to enjoy

• Karen (8/5): Overall a pleasant stay. Lots of local roads to go for walks and not far to proper bushwalks. Lovely area. - Breakfast supplies were abundant and yummy. Bottle of champers a lovely touch. Lots of lovely throws and cushions; superbly decorated. Kitchen allows for simple cooking - well supplied. Bills fish and chips in Emerald are the best we’ve ever had. Owners dogs were very protective of their house. Owner didn’t realise we booked with a dog, even though we messaged directly to ensure all was fine. We had to quickly rush our dog inside when we arrived. We didn’t realise the two cabins share a wall, and the owners house is right next door too. Pictures didn’t really show this clearly. Our dog was constantly barked at whenever we left or returned, or when he went outside to toilet. We love dogs and understand them being protective - just warning others to be ready for it. Bed was very firm.

• Jon (8/5): The accommodation and facilities were comfortable and generous. - The studio was spacious, with a trundle bed for the third guest, probably more suitable for a child than an adult. The spa bath looked welcoming, although we didn't have time to use it. The kitchen facilities were excellent, with generous provisions for breakfast. Be aware, and we informed of this by the hosts before arrival, that the accommodation is most suitable for a couple, with the bed for our third being a trundle bed. Although it was single mattress size, it was not rated as comfortable by the sleeper.
• Skye (9/5): Delightful stayover and quaint little cottage. Would recommend. - This was a beautiful little place to stay. I was not aware that the host also provides a lovely little hamper basket to use for breakfast, for example, at no extra cost. It was so cute and divine. We were unable to utilise the breakfast fully, but we know for next time to allow for this additional time. The cottage was very accommodating and had all the things necessary for a nice stayover. The only thing I could complain about is that, again, it is just a personal preference, the bed was a little hard for me and not super comfortable. My friend ended up sleeping on the lounge in the room, as this was more comfortable for her. Everything else was beautiful and comfortable.

• Jemma (6/5): Okay ish. - The environment was very nice and cosy. The glasses are not properly cleaned, and part of the quilt smells like body oils as if it hasn’t been washed properly.
• Ashley (1/5): Very disappointing. - Nothing really good to say, wasn’t aware that we would be sharing our accommodation with Huntsmans. Cabin is split into 2 separate rooms by a very thin wall. I could hear every footstep of the visitors next door. The bed was so hard, felt like concrete. Massive huntsman’s inside, spiderwebs everywhere, bath wasn’t cleaned it had hair in the jets. My partner and I decided to just go home, our 1 night away together without our children and we were there for only a couple of hours. Very disappointed.

• Sian (10/5): - Wow wow wow. What a beautiful cabin in the most idyllic location. It was a perfect overnight stay. From the comfy bed and the spa bath. Every little extra was thought of from the organic eggs, bacon, beautiful orange juice to the biscoff biscuits. My only regret was that I didn’t bring my dog. We will be back.

• Paul (9/5): Weekend away - The location was good. The extras (food items) were a pleasant surprise. Very comfortable. We weren't aware that the cottage was had a shared wall with the cottage next door. A little bit of noise could be heard when our neighbours were walking around. But this was minor.

When we arrived the fire was already on so the room was lovely and warm. The room had a lovely spa bath. The only thing I didn’t like was the bed it was quite firm.

Close to great little towns and attractions like Kallista General Store, Paradise Valley Hotel, and many others. Amazing amount of provisions, you won't go hungry! • Chintha (6/5): Clean cottage with a spa bath and country feel close to town - We had a pleasant stay at Grevillea cottage. The cottage was clean and tidy, with a lovely spa bath, quiet location, nice backyard, and a country-like feel just a short drive from town. In Grevillea Cottage, the bathroom door wouldn't slide close, which was awkward and uncomfortable given the open, studio-style layout. The driveway is quite steep, and reversing out can be tricky—especially if other vehicles are around as you do not want to reverse into the ditchy bit. We also wished the kitchen had an exhaust fan—leaving the door open while cooking made it cold and we didn't want to waste energy by running the heater with the door open. Just a note for future guests: Grevillea Cottage and Magnolia Cottage are actually two halves of the same building, rather than separate, standalone cottages. This wasn’t an issue for us, but it’s something to keep in mind as it may not feel as private or 'cottage-y' as you might expect. It can also be a bit less peaceful if neighbours are noisy, as we experienced one night (though this was not the fault of the hosts or the cottages!).

We had to arrive early to prepare for our nephews' wedding, and the host allowed us an early check-in when the Taxi didn't arrive. The Host drove us to the venue in her car. We would have missed it without her selfless act. Can't praise them enough for their friendliness and hsopitality. Nothing

We've stayed in this residence before. Although the a/c worked ok, it was impossible to move the vein to redirect the airflow. Bathroom door was sticky.

Lovely decor made us feel at home with a large back yard for the dog to enjoy as well. Amazed at the provision of breakfast and catering - both fabulous and exceeded our expectations. We liked it all. Possibly increased lighting would be worthwhile but a very minor issue.

The cottages are together and I could hear them banging inside all the time. Their dog barked anytime I used the stairs, and when they took it outside. There wasn’t any privacy and not so quiet for me. Not for me.

We were visited by lots of beautiful birds which was fabulous! Bed mattress was very hard which wasn't good for my arthritic joints. Disability access was not good.

Bed is very comfortable. Have stayed her before and loved it. My friend who came with me slept on a mattress on the floor which was fine but not good for us old codgers getting up and down. My wife had to pull out at the last minute so I appreciated that Paul and Wendy could set up a mattress for my friend but maybe one of the new camping beds would be a good option for such emergencies

The spa was well enjoyed and absolutely couldn’t top the location and vibe. We had some trouble getting the internet so we hotspotted our phones to the TV, but the hosts offered to come help us hook it up so that was really our personal choice.

Lovely and comfy accommodation in a quiet but friendly area outside of central Emerald that's only a very short drive away from the Puffing Billy. We loved our cosy room, generous breakfast, treats and drink provisions, and would love to return! Our pup had a fabulous time as well 😊.
