Guest Reviews
- Wendy (10/5): A wonderful peaceful and relaxing Easter break. - The home was large and accommodating, everything was spotless. Our hosts made us feel welcome with extra groceries, not just the basics. Nothing, we loved everything
- DREW (10/5): Luxury gem on the doorstep of the Yarra Valley - Stunning renovated house with no expense. Great spaces and outdoor entertaining areas combined with state-of-the-art kitchen, a tranquil haven away from day-to-day life
- Lisa (10/5): Stunning farm stay property close to wineries, gin destillery and many more attractions. - I don't normally write reviews but when a property such as this comes along I think it's important share the experience with people still deciding. We were a group of 7 that fitted comfortably with a choice of four bedrooms and two lounge rooms to relax in. The house was even more amazing then the pictures, very clean, tastefully decorated and with everything and more then you would need from the kitchen supplies through to the hairdryers/straightening irons and plush towels in the bathrooms. The property has chickens, donkeys, highland cows which you can feed if you feel inclined. There is a nature walk on the property which was lovely for a morning stroll. There is a balcony you can relax with a wine and watch the beautiful sunsets. We all are planning to return one day.
Shane was very accommodating, responded quickly to any questions and very knowledgeable about the area/animals etc.
I would highly recommend this property to anyone both families or friends. Thanks Shane for making our girls trip away so amazing! Absolutely nothing except our stay was over too quickly :)
- Kerry (10/5): Had a wonderful break with friends in a lovely house and location - Beautiful house in a lovely location. Plenty of space and loved the games room for pool competitions. NA
- Wanphen (10/5): Perfect home stay away from home! - Everything! The house is very comfortable cozy homey and beautiful. We wish to stay longer! Non!
- Jeremy (10/5): Wonderful stay, would love to come back again :) - Beautiful property with full amenities.. super comfortable - every room comes with either king or queen bed; kitchen is well equipped. Owner (Shane) is super friendly and warm.. we did a beekeeping session with him and his nephew, and fed the cows and donkeys as well. Their chooks are really cute.. we got some fresh eggs from the chooks for our breakfast. Nothing! Everything was perfect.
- Abdulla (10/5): Excellent 👍🏽 - Very peaceful and serene and very beautiful sunsets. The kangaroos came out during dusk near the house and the kids were over joyed. Very clean and comfortable place for a family stay for a group of six. Superb host (Shane). Over all excellent. -
- Elaine (9/5): - Very peaceful relaxing stay, bonus feeding animals and beautiful proteas. Host Shane a delightful guy who was accommodating. Nothing.

- Scott (10/5): Beautiful views from an airy, light and spacious house on property surrounded by bush - Beautiful views from an airy, light and spacious house on a vast property. Location is natural and ideal - surrounded by bush, yet very close to Healesville town centre. Well maintained and clean. Large bedrooms with comfy beds. Ample living space up and downstairs with loads of outdoor social area. Kitchen is very well equiped for cooking and has pantry basics including coffee and some breakfast supples.

- Judy (10/5): The kind of stay that makes you never want to leave! - This is by far the most comfortable place I’ve ever stayed — both physically and mentally. It feels so much more personal and welcoming than the typical company-run accommodation. From the moment we made the booking, Shane kept in touch and even checked in after our arrival to make sure we had everything we needed. When we walked through the door, we were greeted with a thoughtful welcome gift from the host, which immediately made us feel at home.
The property offers not only a private living space but also spacious indoor and outdoor areas to relax and explore. There’s even a walking track nearby where you can visit the farm animals. We were lucky to meet the farm owner — such a friendly person! He chatted with us, introduced each animal, shared stories about this quiet and beautiful place, and even gave us great local tips.
Our child had an amazing time feeding the chickens, donkeys, and cows, exploring the trails, spotting kangaroos, and searching for wombats. We actually ended up canceling our winery plans because staying here was just too comfortable and enjoyable.
A truly special and heartwarming stay — highly recommended! I almost don’t want to share this hidden gem — I’m worried it’ll get too popular and be hard to book next time!
- Keng Thai (10/5): Amazing property and really hospitable host! - Thanks for allowing the kids to feed the chickens, donkeys and cows
- Jing Jing (10/5): -
- Joanne (10/5): We loved Yarradene and would love to come back again! - Our family had a wonderful time at Yarradene celebrating my husbands 60th birthday. The house is beautiful with everything you could possibly need. Very modern and stylish yet still homey and comfortable. We loved the cows, donkeys and chickens. The fire pit was a big hit and the grounds and the view were spectacular. Peaceful yet not too far away from all the area has to offer. The hosts went above and beyond, even leaving a beautiful cake for our celebrations! Thank you Shane for a wonderful stay. We loved everything !
- Jia (10/5): Recommend this place to everyone - This place is truly EXCEPTIONAL! The view from the living room is stunning, and the architectural design is beautifully executed. My mum even said she’d love to retire in a place like this.
I just had my wedding at Zonzo, which is only 20 minutes away, and this home was perfect for my pre-wedding preparations. I got ready, held door games, and had our tea ceremony here. The space is generous enough to accommodate a large group comfortably.
The owner, Shane, was incredibly responsive and accommodating. When I mentioned I was looking for a place before my wedding, he even blocked the day before so I could check in earlier. Every little detail was taken care of—even milk and eggs were provided!
I truly couldn’t have asked for more and only wish I could have stayed longer
- John (10/5): Stunning and luxurious. - Truly a luxurious, spacious and well appointed offering in a beautiful setting. Very well provisioned. Eggs for breakfast was a nice touch. Sunsets were amazing. This was immaculate and had everything you could possibly want. Leaving. Two nights was too short.

- James (10/5): Fantastic stay for a group for Yarra Valley trip - The house itself is fantastic, the grounds are stunning, not a single negative thing I could say about the property
- Elouise (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was great. Our group of guests were coming from 3 different states. Everyone had great spacious bedrooms and lovely communal areas. The boys had a great time making a fire and fire pit. The home was on acreage so we could wander and visit chickens, cows and donkeys. Kangaroos and deer came to visit. It was sad to leave. Leaving….I miss the chickens, they were so cute, came running to the door when they saw me coming out of the house.
