Guest Reviews
- Lauren (10/5): Wonderful, clean, and host was very helpful - I loved the setting, location, beautiful views and really peaceful, listening to nature.
The cottage was really clean, the bedding was exceptionally crisp and fresh, beautiful country style cottage, definitely will stay again.
- CIPRIAN (5/5): - Quite a cold house, in big need of a revamp and a deep cleaning.
- Matthew (1/5): I booked this place in 2025 when it had great reviews. As you can see from recent reviews, something has seriously chan - The location is great, and I can see how this property could be an amazing place to stay if properly maintained.
Beds were comfy and linen clean. Check-in: contacted host 2hr before arrival to ask for the code. Didn’t get a reply so phones when we arrived. She told me that he hadn’t had chance to check if the cleaner had been, so if there were any problems, just to let her know.
The house was filthy.
We made the host aware, who apologised and offered to come and clean while we were out for the evening. I gave her the benefit of the doubt, and figured it’s important she see’s the poor job her cleaner has done.
Came back, and we barely saw a difference. Whilst the explicit areas we mentioned had been given a basic wipe, the rest of the house was still really dusty. Even areas you had to walk past to get to where she wiped had dust strings hanging off.
We shouldn’t have to keep repeating issues for them to be fixed, and as we just needed to place to sleep, decided to not keep asking for these basics to be sorted.

Bedroom (kitchen side)
- spider webs all in the ceiling
- Generally dusty
Bathroom
- Floor is filthy & detached tile under shower mat
- Wallpaper peeling at every wall
- Lots of mould in shower and around bath. Needs urgent re-grouting and resealing
- Only one light works
- Extractor fan doesn’t work
- Plug holes in both bath and sink extremely rusty. Not hygienic at all
- Splash back tiles on sink are crumbling
Living room
- Thermostat doesn’t operate heating. No heat change in house
- Dust everywhere. Thick on the TV, black box behind sofa where games etc are

- Lee (1/5): Beware do not book this property unless you have read the review! - not a lot There was no hot water.
No clean bed linen.
The host contacted us directly to make payments off the platform.
The host took a payment of £450 per week and would not refund this to us when we cancelled the final week due to the lack hot water and no clean bed linen.
The host constantly was going into the property whilst we were there and away.
The host has a terrible attitude towards issues regarding the property.

- Purdy (9/5): - We loved our stay at this cosy cottage. Our favourite part was the kitchen/dining area, due to its light and spaciousness. The location is great, with plenty of shops and places to eat and drink nearby. Two out of three of the bedrooms were a bit drab-looking, and the mattress in one of the rooms was reportedly (according to my son) very uncomfortable. Trying to get an Uber or taxi anywhere proved impossible (apparently, this is because most taxi firms are based outside of the area, towards Maidstone).
- Ralf (9/5): -
- Steve (8/5): -
- Hangsa (10/5): - Spacious kitchen
Lovely roomd and comfortable beds
- Tony (6/5): Overall disappointing, particularly regarding security and overall cleanliness. - Good location, bedrooms good size, good kitchen Bit grubby (windowsills) needs re-fresh, external woodwork rotten, kitchen door didn't shut properly, not secure, garden presentation poor.
- Jenneke (9/5): -
- Matt (10/5): Welcoming and homely - Perfectly placed, well equipped and the owners were great Nothing
- Jeanette (8/5): Very well situated for our needs. Was just big enough for 5 adults and 2 kids - Good value for the price. Comfortable. Damp smell but sorted with scented candles supplied. The iron had a continental plug so couldn’t use. Couldn’t find instructions for appliances but we worked it out. Minor stuff really.
- Jill (8/5): A small but pleasant and comfortable cottage. - A small, clean, comfortable cottage with comfy beds and good kitchen facilities. Garden a little small and because of the weather needed more comfortable seating, eg sofas, chairs etc - and enough for the number of guests, rather than the three iron chairs which were difficult to sit on on the uneven ground.
- David (7/5): Nice stay - Good location, comfortable beds. Dirty dishes in dishwater and dishwasher didn’t work. Peeling wallpaper and undercoated areas.
- Kel (9/5): Superb - A beautiful place in a beautiful location, the kids had space and loved the fact they could watch a movie on reclining seats.
There were lots to do outdoors in the surrounding area a lovely pub that was having a festival over the bank Holiday. Recommended by the lovely host.
Live music and a great atmosphere.
Would love to revisit at some point in the future, it was an all round hit. ♥️♥️ Nothing to report!
- Elizabeth-anne (6/5): Pleasant - Very clean, well equipped kitchen Garden area unpleasant, and next to an industrial yard with CCTV - felt exposed at night needing to walk through open conservatory to bathroom. Noisy neighbors into early morning hours both nights
- Natasha (9/5): Lovely little cottage that suited our needs perfectly -
- Mccabe (8/5): Very good -
- Jemma (8/5): Very good -
- Hilary (7/5): Good - This is a quaint cottage very well equipped / furnished. There is some traffic noise in the kitchen/ dinner, but the living room is snug and quiet.
- Charlie (7/5): Good -
- Parin (9/5): Superb - Great detached property, spacious, well equipped kitchen, and good communication from the host
- Charlotte (10/5): Exceptional - Fantastic cottage. Very clean and very cozy. Great communication with owners. We absolutely loved it and look forward to coming back again next year.
- Luke (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely place that was an ideal base for our trip to a friend's wedding. Lovely host who was very helpful.

- Stasja (9/5): Beautiful cottage in fine location. - The place is cosy and tasteful and the host superfriendly. Helping us with tips and trips. I would like to come back!
- Koah (8/5): We booked very last minute but the host was absolutely amazing in accommodating us! Very efficient, had everything ready - Cosy and very homey only one car can fit in the drive
- Kim (4/5): Lovely location but not the cosy cottage we expected. - The location of Brenchley was lovely. The little bull cafe a delight!
The beds were very comfy too. It was freezing cold when we arrived. We found windows left open and the radiators were turned off in bedrooms. There was a visible gap around the front door which made it rather draughty.
The property was dated and things like drawers and utensils mismatched and some broken. The cover of the sofa bed was filthy. The roof over the kitchen leaked (dripping over the lights!) when it rained. Wallpaper was peeling off the bathroom walls.
There was a construction site outside. The garden area was untidy.

Would definitely stay there again.

- Lucy (10/5): The host was lovely and even though I booked last minute she went out of her way to supply a travel cot. I had a great e - I loved that it was like a home from home. It has everything you need, and is very cozy. I would certainly recommend this property.
