Balcony was cool but very noisy!! Noise pollution and contact with the owners was not very understanding...maybe language misunderstandings?? Too hot and did we mention the noise!!!
Hans (8/5): locatie met name goed voor skiën. - Locatie was midden in het centrum dichtbij de skilift. Appartement was ruim en had een groot balkon. zonder lift drie hoog. Tot 5 uur in de ochtend veel dronken mensen buiten, die de nodige lawaai maakten.
Carmen (8/5): muy buena ubicación - la ubicacion la comunicación, fue muy poco cálida, nos trataban de antemano, como gente poco correcta, no se preocupaban por nuestro confort, SOLO explicar las normas a cumplir y las sanciones por no hacerlo. La explicación de como dejar el apartamento y su limpieza pero luego, no había ni escoba, solo un pequeño e incomodo recogedor sin mango largo, agachados para limpiar. Si te molesta el ruido de la calle, no podrás abrir las ventas, para nosotros eso no fue problema, pero la calle es muy ruidosa.

Sergey (3/5): Unfortunately our stay was affected by several issues that significantly reduced overall comfort. - The apartment is spacious and located close to restaurants and gondolas. Unfortunately our stay was affected by several issues that significantly reduced overall comfort. The shower cabin was defective and was fixed only after several days of our stay. On one of the days there was almost no water and no usable hot water in the shower for many hours, without any prior notice. These issues were resolved only with delay. Cleaning before arrival was insufficient — rubbish was found under the bed and removed later. Some furniture was worn out and damaged; one damaged chair was removed without replacement, while another damaged chair remained in the apartment. Communication did take place, but not all issues were handled promptly, and the compensation offered afterwards did not, in our view, reflect the extent of the issues experienced. Overall, given the price level, the stay did not represent good value for money. Based on our experience, I would not personally recommend this property at this rate.
Peter (9/5): Geboekt om te skiën, daar voldoet het prima aan - De locatie is perfect: dichtbij het centrum en de Penkenbahm. De host reageerde erg snel op vragen. Goede bedden en prima sanitair en alles superschoon. Accommodatie is veelal gericht op toeristen die er alleen slapen. Eenvoudig meubilair, er is één zitbank voor ontbijt en 's avonds. Simpele keuken, niet goed geschikt om zelf uitgebreid te koken.

Anna (6/5): Great location and clean comfortable rooms. Very business driven with no personal touch. - Location is great bit noisy but to be expected due to central location. As long as the windows are shut not a problem. Property is very clean and beds comfortable. Couldn’t ask for a better location which is why we are returning next year. Felt very transactional like a business. Having been coming to Mayrhofen for 14 years we’ve never experienced this. On arrival it was very difficult to make contact with anyone. They’re very strict on not providing any entry details until 4pm. I’d previously been told that we could leave our luggage and own skis and boots at the premises until our room was ready only to spend over an hour trying to make contact using the numbers on the door at the property. This meant 4 of us were stuck outside cold after travelling through the night. We eventually made contact and was kindly given access early after being told we couldn’t go in. We only needed to leave our luggage but there seemed to be a language barrier. Kitchen is very basic and although there’s 2 hobs it’s not possible to fit 2 pans on to cook for a family. Could do with some cushions on the sofa for comfort. Seems possible the property has had previous issues with guests behaviour and have set very strict rules. Not everyone is there to be wild, some families are there to have a nice time and be respectful of the property.

Paula (7/5): - De locatie van de accommodatie was perfect! Midden in het centrum en erg dicht bij de Penkenbahn! Daarnaast werd er erg snel gereageerd op het feit dat de douche niet door liep, zoals het hoort. De accommodatie had erg slechte kussens in bed en doordat het gelegen is aan de hoofd straat erg veel last van schreeuwende mensen in de nacht.. hierdoor slechte nacht rust. Daarnaast verblijft er erg veel jeugd in de appartementen, waardoor het om 22:00u niet stil is in huis. Echter kunnen de eigenaren hier niets aan doen, maar is het wel een min punt. Daarnaast was het opberg hok voor die ski spullen erg kleinschalig in vergelijking tot de personen die verbleven in de appartementen.. hierdoor werd er ook niet altijd netjes om gegaan met andermans spullen, wat erg vervelend is.

Jaro (8/5): Immersive Location - The location is incredible. You cannot get closer to the Gondolas up the mountain. The apartments are large for where they are and very comfortable. We had a great view of the mountain. The apartment is well kept and very functional but it lacked a slight update to certain facilities and small touches e.g. the dishwasher was old and the rail was broken, the stove and pots are dated, no soap is provided and once you run out of toilet paper, you supply your own. Again though, these are minor in comparison to the space you get as a family and the location.

Mark (9/5): Great week skiing in Mayrhofen. Such a huge variety of slopes to ski. - Great location in the heart of the village and right between the two main gondolas. The pillows on the beds were very thin and a bit lumpy, however, when I asked for more pillows to be delivered it was no problem.

Deposit collection, early checkout 9am, noisy door slaps coming thru all the building from other guests, parking 800m from location. Check your premises on arrival.. We got apartment with arranged broken bed side lamp, which we found only on last day, now there are delays with deposit. Unfortunately, this was my fist accommodation with a deposit in Zillertal in 15 years of regular arrival and what a surprise :) Watch out guys..

Kühlschrank hat nicht funktioniert, die Spülmaschine ist halb auseinander gefallen. Hauptsache billig. Auch Messer, Schere, etc. waren quasi nutzlos. Zudem hat’s im Topfschrank gestunken.

Yvette (9/5): Ruimte, luxe, netheid - Het verblijf in appartement Akelei van Pia en Dirk was prima. Het is ruim opgezet, er is veel bergruimte en het is netjes en schoon. Ter voorbereiding krijg je veel informatie over alles wat je moet weten (bijv een duidelijke omschrijving waar je kunt parkeren, hoe alle apparaten in huis werken, wat de codes zijn). Ook kun je ze altijd even bellen voor meer informatie. Wij werden zelfs gebeld dat het appartement eerder klaar voor gebruik was. Het was een erg prettig verblijf! Soms is het in het weekend wat luid op straat. Als je met het raam open slaapt, zou ik oordopjes meenemen.

There's no oven and no dishwasher. It's very basic, but then again, it's also not that expensive. Would have been nice to meet someone in person, but the check in and check out were very good arranged

Hannah (9/5): Perfect Location, right in the thick of town and you can fall out of bed onto the Penken lift! - The company called me and our apartment was ready early so we could check in if we wanted and they gave full and accurate details on how to get into the property. As it is spread over 2 buildings this might have been confusing but the instructions were perfect on how to get to the right apartment and it was obvious where we needed to go. The only thing I think could be improved is the addition of a second toilet in the Bath room as it's massive and seems a waste to not have 2 in there. It would also have been useful to have a clothes airer (again maybe in the bathroom as so much space) to help dry wet ski clothes off with.

John (7/5): Good - Spacious and cozy. Central location close to everything. No air condition, very warm nights. Had to keep windows open all the time and then you could clearly hear all noise from the main street.
Old (8/5): Very good - The area and location and the view from our balcony. I was not too happy where I had to park my motorbike. It was a long way from the apartment, but it was ok and no one had touched it for the 2 days it was parked.
Lih-wan (7/5): never met a worse landlord than this one - location parking not on site the landlord did not give us safe code to get into the apartment even after we arrived at check in time. We called him. no one answered. we called several times using international phone call fees. after one hour later than check in time, he finally picked up the call. He did not even apologized for keeping us waiting in front of the door for one hour. Very very bad landlord. and he threatened to hold the deposit with every minor reminds. If he is so afraid of tenants, he might just keep the apartment to himself instead of renting it out

Liviu (4/5): If we would knew the requests imposed on us we would never have booked it ! Never again! - Indeed, only 4 minutes to the Penkenbahn. It was clean and well heated. Only after the not-refundable booking we found out the tough rules, regulations and requests imposed by the owners, all in a sequence of weekly e-mails which came all as a nasty surprise, i.e. vacuum cleaning the apartment, arranging all the dishes back into the cupboards, etc, all with warning of strong penalties if we failed to comply. I've felt like pushed in back in Army times having to obey roules and exaggerated requests under threat of repercussions if failed, such as 40 Eur for looking up the safe, 100 Eur for letting the key in the POST box !, etc.. There was no toilet paper, no extra blankets or pillows, the furniture was merely spartan, the towels really aged and some nasty odour could be felt raising up from the toilet basin due to faulty siphon. The apartment on the main street was so noisy until 1-2 every night due to drunken yelling people. Smelly and poorly furnished kitchen with only the basic stuff, no dish washing machine and we could smell everything the neighbours would cook due a common evacuation duct above the cooking hood. Skiraum without any fresh air intake - if unlucky to be the first in the morning to open the door we were struck by terrible stink. For all the money we paid what we finally got was a poorly furnished apartment with tough rules to obey and no direct contact whatsoever with the ones supposed to friendly receive some guests. Very expensive yet disappointing experience.

André (6/5): Perfect location, very poor service - Location was perfect. A lot of money for a sober appartement. The mails we recieved before like digital check-in are not friendly. I stay in Austria for about 50 years and never approuched with penalty’s. Also how to leave the appartement. Again threatening with penalty’s. And the kitchen did not have enough equipment. To cook is actually quit impossible.

Edvinas (8/5): Almost perfect. - Location is awsome, basic facilities were enough, apartment was very nice. With just few hick ups. There was only 1 key for 5 people! Same key for the apartment and ski cellar which was a choir. Second key would help a lot. Also noise complains from bellow owner. We received one while we were cooking dinner at 6-7pm - which kinda bummed us for the week.

Kamil (7/5): Good - location was very good, central, shops nearby, car park included (but 5 minutes walk from the accommodation) Furniture is basic and is not the newest. Self-service style of accommodation management compensates for lack of service, on site presence of personnel to serve you as a guest. No reception desk to check you in (self service online check in is not a job customers supposed to do, manually typing all details of guests), no one to greet you, give and take over keys from you. Self service rules are imposed by threats of 100 Euros penalty charge guest is not informed about before booking and for which owner has no right for. All rules are easy to follow without passive-aggressive style of written communication. I think this statement from the departure message sums it all : Please do not call us on the day of departure with the information that you are leaving. Thank you very much! Despite nothing was particularly wrong, this communication sheds bad light on it and how guests feel about it.
