Guest Reviews
- Fiona (9/5): Clean modern and cosy! - A fantastic location, lovely modern property. Very clean and tidy with lots of lovely touches. Bed very comfortable. We had a fantastic few days here - it's a great spot for watching all the bikers come and go too, very central, just a few minutes walk to anywhere in Largs town centre. Very cosy and clean. It would be nice if all the mood lighting worked. The amount of stairs should be made clear before booking as some people might struggle. Bath mat required to avoid slips.

- Elizabeth (9/5): Loved location and everything about the flat - Location superb clean stylish and super cosy Steps
- Kenneth (7/5): -
- Ms (9/5): Lovely flat, comfortable and luxurious - Own breakfast. Slight problem accessing the keys, but owner was helpful. Just the keys being easier to access and return
- Karha (10/5): Excellent location, friendly hosts! Would absolutely return! - The location was excellent and central! We attended for a wedding in Largs and we had a five minute walk to the venue! I also left something in the property and the host text me when the cleaner realised 30 mins after we left! We managed to get the belongs back in the most hassle free way! Fantastic service, thanks again! Nothing - the stay was perfect!
- Derek (6/5): Good value for money - Nice and clean, bit of a gloomy entrance Bit small

- Frank (10/5): It was absolutely great - Was quiet central to what we were looking for. The view was excellent
- Alison (8/5): Really nice cosy attic space. - The electric fire was lovely for the ambience. Nicely decorated, low key, nothing too loud, right up my street.
Having a sea view was nice, you could also see hills out the kitchen window. Instructions re outside lighting would have been helpful. the corridor was very dark.
Complimentary tea/coffee/hot chocolate would have been nice; we arrived quite late so unable to shop beforehand.
- James (10/5): Wel when we arrive we couldn’t get heating to work but hazel the property who owns it came out and couldn’t be more help - The view from the front windows see right over to Rothesay The property was fine
- Evans (10/5): - Like the layout and very nice apartment and an amazing view to top it all off Scotmid in largs
- terence (4/5): Accessibly challenging. - The apartment was good Access, this was via an alleyway next to a pub with patrons smoking, this raised security issues. Up two short flights of stairs, one flight not lit. Through an unlocked entrance door that’s seen better days. Then up a flight of very steep stairs which posed access and mobility issues when carrying luggage.
It’s also the first accommodation where tea, coffee and sugar are not provided.
- Ann (10/5): 1 would give it 10 out of 10 it could not of been better for the PriceX - We have travels for a We have traveled for a family funeral it was excellent. And the view was wonderful.x Walking upstairs, it wasn’t that good when you got there was totally differentX
- Helen (8/5): Great for what we needed it for - Location right on the sea front and so close to the sports venue we were at for the weekend. Quite dark round the back to get into on an evening.
Loud music from the bar downstairs
Need some sharp knives in the kitchen
- Susan (8/5): Excellent apartment Had a lovely Holiday.Only draw back was all the stairs up to apartment - No breakfast It was self catering
- Ann (10/5): This apartment was a sweet surprise. - This was a perfect little apartment with everything we needed. Located centrally. Loved it!
- Tracy (10/5): Lovely Stay in Largs - The apartment was in a brilliant central location, close by and walkable to all local amenities. The apartment was very clean and comfortable and had the necessary items needed for our stay!! Would certainly book again.
- Alison (6/5): A very convenient flat right in the heart of Largs adjacent to nightlife. - Clean, warm, well equipped. Comfy beds, plenty of towels. Biggest issue was the noise from Room - rowdy people outside till 2am Sunday morning before we tackled a 12 hour drive home. Could do with better lighting on the concrete steps, suspect bulb may need replacing. Odd that Christmas decorations were still up.
- yvonne (10/5): Great stay in Largs - Great location. I was visiting my mum+dad. I've told with my hubby who is 6'4" that he will have to duck down a lot. He's still up for a future booking. All good. X
- Adele (3/5): Awful smell of weed and horrendous entrance - The property was in an excellent location. The Apartment smelled unbelievably strongly of weed the for the full 2 day stay. I can only assume this is from the flat below. If we had taken our children with us, we would have literally been unable to stay here, that's how bad it was. My partner actually wanted to travel home right after the wedding we were attending, because we didn't want to stay another night. The entrance to the apparently isn't great either and the fact that the front door to the building was never even shut let alone locked didn't give you a great feeling.
- Ann (6/5): Good location but poor communication with the owner. - Location Could not control the central heating.
- Gillian (8/5): Very clean comfortable flat with great views and located close to all amenities. Perfect for a short - Lovely views over River Clyde No hairdryer or Iron/ironing board which i had need of both.
- alex (9/5): Amazing wee flat.... Great views.. - Lovely flat all mod cons... Great location, will defo be back....
- Donna (10/5): Great location .. flat was spotless - Clean well maintained great location Nothing
- Jane (10/5): We LOVED our short time in the flat, would highly recommend it, and we hope to come back there some day! ❤️ would l - The flat is central and very convenient for all shops and amenities. The view from every front window is fabulous! We fell in love with Largs and the Riviera Cafe across the road for breakfast, plus ‘Room’, the restaurant/bar downstairs, for dinner and drinks. The flat itself is very nicely decorated, has a fabulous shower and comfortable beds. We also loved (and used!) the novelty fireplace in the lounge. The whole place was cosy and met our needs. Communication with Host Ben was clear and efficient and he answered messages immediately. A very minor suggestion would be to add a few more wine glasses and a coffee table in the lounge 😜
- Charlene (10/5): - The flat was central in Largs with all amenities within walking distance , also the ferry terminal was adjacent to go to Millport
The flat was very modern spotless and spacious with amazing views straight across the water The staircase leading up to the flat itself was a bit tricky especially for older relatives
- Janice (9/5): Great stay - The apartment was in a fantastic location with beautiful views it was nice and clean and the owner Ben was easy to reach and very helpful We were a group of 5 adults. The sleeping arrangements was more than adequate but found the seating was a bit cramped only 4 chairs and only 3 wine glasses 😂 some might find the stairs daunting but didn't bother us
- Heather (1/5): - Nothing!!!The apartment was through a dirty stairwell with broken steps. And then a very steep set of stairs! My sister couldn't use the handrail as there was ratten tight tightly against the rail, you could not get your hand around the railing. There is no mention of these. One family member had to sit on her bum to get down the stairs! The apartment was above a nightclub. And on Saturday morning at 6 am, a market was get set up! The noise from both of these was terrible and stopped us from sleeping. Absolutely no value for money, and I would like a refund of my £400. See above.
- David (10/5): - Fantastic location, spotless and everything you needed was there
- Diane (5/5): - Apartment was clean. Location was very close to the brisbane hotel as we were attending a wedding. The horrible close you had to walk through to get through to the back then up some dodgy stairs to eventually find the front door. I would not rate this apartment for the amount of money I paid for 2 nights
- Benjamin (7/5): - A great location in the center of Largs and easy walking distance to the Shops and Public Transport.
If eating in a visit to the Local Butcher A.D Paton Butchers for their award winning Pies and Game Meat The entrance to the Apartment is through a back alleyway which is rather scruffy and through a back door leading to the Flats with torn wallpaper needing TLC with a step stair case to the Apartment on the upper floor which Door opens directly onto the staircase which is not ideal for people with any Mobility issues climbing Stairs.
The Apartment Decor once inside is clean and tidy, but no Guest information pack was found.
- Alana (10/5): -
- Howard (8/5): - Tolle Lage, super Aussicht, schöne Wohnung Freitags wird es durch das Pub etwas laut, Zugang nicht besonders einladend.
- Alistair (3/5): Great location but unfortunately a horrible experience overall. - Excellent location with stunning views. Horrendous access arrangements and stairs up to the property are completely unsafe and unsuitable for use. There is a dark alleyway from the square which leads to concrete stairs with broken drain covers, a broken equipment from nearby commercial properties. Up two sets of stairs lead to the bottom of the stairs to the flat. This landing smelt strongly of smoke, wallpaper was peeling off and the carpet grubby and worn. Although the listing notes the staircase may not be suitable for those with mobility issues, they’re not suitable for fully able-bodied people either. Impossible to get a child’s pram up/down so the property isn’t suitable for young children.
Internally the decor / upkeep was also scruffy in parts and although it wasn’t required during our stay (so we didn’t raise it) the heating didn’t appear to be working. There is also no terrestrial TV available.
- Mandy (3/5): Disappointing, came home two days early. Ruined birthday present - The view Knew there were stairs but didnt expect to also have outside in bad repair and very overgrown area. Didnt go out at night as corridor was dark. Struggled with stairs
- Christine (6/5): Well placed clean and tidy apartment for those who are fully fit. - Location and sunset views were great We aware there were steps but much more convoluted than expected such that we would not return given sight issues.
TV didn’t work - possibly due to internet connection issue
- Susan (8/5): Central location with great views of Firth of Clyde - Flat was bright clean and airy. Well presented and equipped.
Great views out to the Firth of Clyde and the Millport Ferry. Appreciated the binoculars! Approach to flat was very off putting. Stairs to the flat were very steep and quite unsuitable for those with mobility problems. We should have been forewarned of this. TV/Internet was not working and this issue was not resolved.
- Mcinnes (9/5): Superb - brilliant location the entrance to it
- Joanne (7/5): Would be happy to stay here again midweek - Cosy and homely. Bright spacious.Games for guests to use Close and stairs are a bit unloved.
No floor trim on threshold between bathroom and hall= sore toe.
Attention to detail a bit lacking, cup stain on worktop next to sink, fingerprints on mirror etc, just little things.
Loud music can still be heard from venue below even though on top floor
- Ellen (6/5): Flat was lovely and clean but need to look into checking heating and ensure hot water is on - Flat was lovely and location was excellent Could not get heating on and no hot water
- Angela (7/5): Great apartment on the inside - Good location
Very central Outside area very dark and unkept. Front entrance left unlocked and close in was dark and seemed unsafe. Entrance was a mess
- Charmaine (8/5): Lovely apartment in largs - Brilliant location, lovely apartment The stairs were very steep and the close was badly lit
- Colm (9/5): Very enjoyable stay in a very nice apartment. - Perfect central location. Comfortable, clean apartment with excellent view of the bay and islands.
- Kate (8/5): Lovely apartment by the sea - Great location, beautiful view over the sea. Nice bright modern apartment. It would have been useful to have a few more things in the kitchen (eg scissors, coffee maker)
- Simon (6/5): Very convenient location, fine views, sparsely equipped kitchen. - Location Scruffy entrance area, without clear directions of how to get to the flat door from the street entrance
- Joany (10/5): Cosey stay - The location is terrific views are fantastic ! Lovely watching the ferry coming and going to Millport . Sunsets wonderful It wasnt a long enough stay will book longer next time
- Desmond (8/5): Loved the views and its central location. - Location was good as it was situated at the seafront. The flat is immaculate, well equipped and cosy with stunning views across the water. The entrance is along a passageway and through a back garden area which is littered with rubbish, old furniture and rusty barbecue. The stonework of the lower staircases is in poor condition. No instructions on how the TV or fire works.
- Dee (7/5): It was great, plenty of space, excellent location, cleanliness could have been better. - Good size. Great location. Views from living room and bedrooms spectacular.
Owner extremely helpful when heating not working. 👍👍👍 It was a little dusty - maybe had not been used for a while. There was an old trash smell around the kitchen that came into the hallway. Some of the blankets/throws needed cleaning - some has like baby barf on them.
- Gumi (9/5): Superb - Location was good, ferry across the road and plenty of shops next to us.
- Ellen (10/5): Exceptional - Everything will be back soon
- Agnes (7/5): Apart from entry, we enjoyed the stay in the apartment - The sea view, apartment was pleasant, well equipped, and comfortable. Entrance to property was in an appalling state, the close resembled a scene from a Dickensian novel. Surely it could be cleaned up.
The outside railing, top of the outside stairs was broken through, my husband cut his hand on it. It could be a fatality waiting to happen.
Blue carpeted stairs were very difficult and a struggle to deal with due to mobility problems. This should be mentioned in the description of the property.
- Winifred (8/5): Very good -
- Helen (9/5): Loved it - Warm welcoming and clean Clean comfortable and great view
- Robert (8/5): Comfy and clean. Close to everything with parking across the road. - Great location. Had everything we needed for stay.
Beds were comfortable and kitchen was well equipped. Entry to apartment via ground floor side door / ally could be improved with adequate lighting and clearer instructions for locating exact entry.
Initial impression was a bit questionable, but once inside apartment it had a fresh appearance and it made for a great stay.
- Ellie (10/5): Christmas apartment - Great location , spotless with modern decor and cozy blankets for snuggling up in front of a massive electric fire , decorated for Christmas, selection boxes under the tree , table set and Hazel greeted us with the heating on and ensured we were comfortable giving up access to her anytime we needed it which we didn't as the apartment is lovely and had everything we needed. The passage way in is very dark and uninviting and stairs up to the apartment passing other properties also not inviting.
- Shaun (10/5): Greeted by Hazel on arrival to property to check in couldn’t meet a more welcoming person. Couldn’t have asked for a be - Great location to local amenities and the job I was working on
- Lindsay (10/5): Lovely apartment and great host - The apartment was comfortable and clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The host Hazel was lovely, nothing was too much trouble. Check in/out was straightforward. We just called and gave our approximate arrival time. Hazel was already there waiting to let us in. She even helped us with our bags and saved a parking space for us that she had seen while waiting. Lovely apartment with a great host. We will definitely be returning soon. 😊
- Colin (8/5): Property was great, would definitely use again. Milk in the fridge, shampoo and toiletries provided, host was helpful an - Property was clean, comfortable and in a good location Entrance was not easy to find, stairs were quite steep.
