Guest Reviews
- Clemens Kurt Johann (7/5): Günstige Unterkunft unweit der bekannten Ponte Vecchio! - Brauchbare Lage
Lebensmittelgeschäft direkt gegenüber
Nachts ruhig Dusche etwas undicht
WC spült nicht immer
- Ferrer Olivero (7/5): - Me permitieron check in 1.5 hs antes.
- Amedeo Sargolini (9/5): 100 del passatore - Struttura pulita...travi in legno sul soffitto...direi storica Il bagno moderno..doccia poco funzionante
- Patrick (10/5): Perfect stay with so much style and character in a charming area. - Everything. Great decor / vibe. Cozy, clean and easy access. Awesome area. N/a
- Charlotte (8/5): - Check-in was easy once I received instructions, I should have messaged about this earlier though so I knew what I’d need to do before arriving at the train station! Bed was comfy and the apartment was quiet. The shower is small and the hot water takes a while to come through but once it does, it’s fine.

- De Villiers (10/5): Clean apartment, great location - Great location being close to the train station. The apartment was clean, with an air conditioner and washing machine (great amenities for travellers)!

- Kayla (10/5): Highly recommend, amazing location, beautiful apartment, great communication! - Beautiful property, seperate living room and bedroom and small kitchen. It had everything you needed. Lovely small details. No wifi but this is stated in the description!
- Brown (10/5): Exceptional - Great location just outside the heart of Florence but close enough to be able to easily/quickly walk to the major sites that we wanted to experience. Lots of lovely restaurants nearby as well as a grocery store which made cooking a few breakfasts very accessible. Loved going on walks in the late afternoon once it cool down and enjoying the neighborhood. Nothing. It really was a perfect spot to stay. I would highly recommend it!
- Haschke (9/5): Superb - Great location, easy to find, quite comfortable, landlady was very friendly and spoke excellent English. She responded promptly to all messages and was very accommodating. She provided clear instructions for check-in and check-out, making it very easy.
20-minute walk from SMN, close to some great restaurants and a Carrefour, which was very convenient. The toilet was somewhat difficult to flush and the shower head was hard to adjust.
- Goodwin (7/5): Good - Location and history of the abode a bit rustic!
- Korina (8/5): Fine, apart from the above - 1 wine glass, 1 tea cup.
- Kevin (9/5): Superb -
- Kathleen (7/5): Love this apartment for its feel of traditional Firenze home life. - The traditional ambience, old wooden ceilings and terracotta tiled floor was fantastic Having a comfy sofa was great for relaxing on seperate from the bedroom.
Very quiet for sleeping which was great. Limited crockery and glass wear.
Unable to use the washing machine as the flex was too short.
- Michele (6/5): Had a lovely stay. Would go back. - Great location. Comfy quaint apartment. Clothes washer available. Water pressure was poor, but temperature was good. Able to have a nice shower anyway. Most power points weren’t European standard. Would be even better with wifi provided.
- Thelma (2/5): Would not stay again - Not much It was dark.very difficult to find , it was very outdated and I would not use the kitchen, it was a good 30 minutes from center of town
- Kirstie (9/5): Excellent highly recommend and we would definitely stay there again if we ever are back in Florence - The location was brilliant - a couple of bus stops along the road, supermarket across the road and a great little bar at the end of the road. We walked into the city centre most days and it only took us about 20 minutes. The apartment is spacious and well presented and it was a bonus to have a washing machine given we were there for 5 days and then travelling some more after that
- Anita (4/5): Would not stay again. - Location was in local neighbourhood. Close to Boboli Gardens.
Spacious with separate living area and bedroom. Very small kitchen. Floor was filthy, we had to keep our shoes on at all times.
Apartment had a putrid smell - worked out to be the old mop in the kitchen.
Bed very uncomfortable and had roll-together. Two single mattresses to make a queen bed. Mattresses were over hanging the base.
Flushing the toilet was difficult. Found out that you must pump the button 35 to 50 times to make it flush.
Very noisy in living area from street sounds as main thoroughfare for cars at all times. However bedroom was quiet.
Apartment is in disrepair and needs to fixed
Having look at reviews since, seems that these issues have existed for a while.
- Michael (8/5): Very good -
- Stephen (8/5): Cozy apartment in great locay - Great location, helpful and responsive host. Plumbing a bit old and worn.
- Carolyn (5/5): Passable - Host was lovely letting us book in earlier. Good location. Some good local restaurants. We had trouble flushing the toilet. When we asked we got told to press it multiple times. This actually meant 35 or more times!!!
Also very hot with just a fan.
- Mayu (9/5): Superb -
- Kevin (9/5): Superb - Good comfirtable accomadation, 15 min walk to main part of Florence, attractions nearby, goid communication -
- Michael (10/5): Charming Renaissance era building, quiet street just minutes walk from the Ponte Vecchio. -
- Edward (8/5): A cozy home from where to explore Florence - It felt like home away from home in that it was cozy and we appreciated the way the place was decorated. Location is great. The bedroom is off the road and therefore quiet.
- Ofir (10/5): Exceptional - The apartment was well designed- comfortable but also paying homage to history.
- Hannah (10/5): Exceptional - Charming apartment, beautifully furnished and very convenient for old-town Florence, with clear and helpful communications from the host. Everything we needed. Nothing
- Juan (7/5): Charming and correct place - The place, street and area was charming. Towells and shampoo were nice. The lights and equipement should be better for the price. Location not bad, but not central.
- Alessandra (10/5): Beautiful apartment, even better hosts. - The hosts are the kindest people, they were so generous and helpful! The property is absolutely lovely, a historical Tuscan apartment with all the charm very close to the city center. The apartment was spotless clean. I would go back in a heartbeat. Nothing. It was perfect for us.
- Claudia (9/5): Superb -
- Amelia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Isabella (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kirill (9/5): Superb -
- Sebastian (8/5): Very good -
- Reena (9/5): A beautiful, authentic apartment in a great location - This apartment was absolutely charming. Really gives you an authentic vibe of a traditional apartment with original ceilings, floors and furnishings. Has all the amenities you need for a short or long stay- equipped kitchen, washing machine, etc. The location is superb, a bit set away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist hotspots, yet in walking distance to everything. Generally a quiet enough area, plus the bedroom is set away from the street so is pretty quiet. The hosts are kind, responsive, and accommodating, and were very helpful in helping us arrange a place to put luggage for a few hours. Overall, a very enjoyable experience. The showerhead was kind of broken- shower worked but it wasn't ideal. The toilet flush was also a bit funky, I'm assuming due to old plumbing.
- Liana (9/5): Superb -
- Rohan (9/5): Superb -
- Christodoulos (7/5): Good location, cool apt but hard bed - The location was really nice, the style of the building was very cool and atmospheric. The staff was very responsive and the room was very clean when we arrived. The bed was a hard and at an angle, shower head wasn't adjustable, shower was small.
- Shaista (6/5): Pleasant - Location was great, and really accessible from the city centre. The apartment was clean, beds were comfortable and the small touches were great with wine left for us, and soaps and towels provided. It was a little difficult to find, there are two #86 on the street and it's a narrow street with no parking so walking up and down with suitcases is cumbersome when you can't find the right spot (Google maps didn't help with this as it directed us to the incorrect number); but that being said, the host was very responsive in guiding us to the right place. Once you find it, it was really easy to check-in.
The apartment itself is pretty outdated; we found that both the sink and shower were leaking, but because it was cleaned well, it suited us for the one night stay - wouldn't recommend staying for longer stretches.
- Larissa (8/5): Very good -
- Nooshin (10/5): very pleasant stay, highly recommend it - so clean, convenient, the host was very flexible for early check in and late check out, quick response -
- Kim (6/5): I’ve never been so happy being discontent - The rental company is well run and very professional. They communicated as needed and were professional, courteous and caring. The apartment, dingy as is was is somehow kept clean. The bedding and liner were wonderful and the cleaning crew makes this rather lumpy apartment a joy enough that your willing to ignore some of the very down sides. We know Firenze quite well and love the Oltrarno location, nice tight knit neighborhood with grocery, laundry bars and restaurants The fact that the owner is letting the apartment fall into a funk…I didn’t answer the question, “would I return to the unit?” as I’m not sure. The toilet and shower drain issues would break the deal BUT I think the rental company is 1st rate and will get the owner to put some money into the unit or it will fall off the map. The owner needs to decide if she wants to run it into the ground until it’s un rentable or invest the necessary money to have a smooth running cash machine
- Erica (8/5): nice space in a great location. would be good if the toiletries were properly stocked for a stay. - location was fabulous, decent room indicated toiletries, but we had to buy hand soap and toilet paper. simply was not adequate amount left for a four night stay.
- Ciara (9/5): Excellent - Was close to the pitti Palace, was very clean and comfortable. Very affordable and owners were incredibly helpful and accommodating. They were quick to replying to messages and gave plenty of suggestions of resteraunts etc.
