Guest Reviews
- Jenny (3/5): We left after 2 days and couldn’t get a refund as we couldn’t stand it any more for one night - We did get a warm welcome from Heather and it is only a 20 min walk to Skegness The accommodation was dirty and smelt fusty, there was stains on the carpets the bath mats, dust everywhere and the grill in the oven had greece in it and lots of marks on the walls
- Iwona (1/5): Disappointed - This place was filthy. There was an unbearable smell, especially in the bathroom, which reeked so badly it was hard to use, and the stench spread throughout the whole place. The bathroom itself was also dirty—see pictures. The shower had very weak water pressure, adding to the frustration. We even found black hair in the bathtub, which was disgusting. The kitchen was dirty and clearly not cleaned properly. The blankets and carpets looked like they hadn’t been washed in a long time and really needed a proper clean. Overall, the entire place felt neglected and generally stank. Would not recommend.
- Nithin (6/5): Average property for a short stay -
- simone (1/5): Would not recommend anyone staying hear - Do not let the picture fool you it dont look anything like this anymore an also the is a permanent caravan at the side. Unfortunately they was fleas.
The kitchen was a state everything touched felt like grease and oil the utensils was dirty, the walls are grubby the carpet could do with a vax. The kitchen table was absolutely disgusting same with the living room table clearly never been cleaned properly. Toilet seat dont fit the toilet. The bedroom with the double bed for me an my partner was small we had to move the bed across to the wardrobe to get the travel cot in. The pillows was as thin as paper. I requested a high chair an they brought me one straight away same with the travel cot seemed nice people but the high chair was absolutely disgusting an clearly again never been cleaned, glass cabinet in the room is a hazard for small children the tv should be on the wall really an definitely not glass cabinet. The washer was mouldy. The back patio never gets used by the looks of it an never kept neat. Ok views from the back but front is a building site on a main road the paths are over grown. 10 15 minutes walk into skegness town thats good and a mc Donald's a few minutes walk. Unfortunately I didnt get any pictures cas we spent most of the time out of the place because of how depressing it was and we also left a day early due to this we all just wanted to go home I booked 3 nights we stayed only 2.
- Faye (9/5): - We loved that all our family could holiday together in two spacious apartments. Every thing was provided in the kitchen for us to cook meals for everyone. Freshly cleaned ready on time fir our arrival.
Dog friendly which is important for our family.
I came last year and thought it was perfect for a busy family with children and dogs needing space. Was really pleased when we re booked as a family to enjoy it all together and it had maintained the same comfort and expectations.
Owners were helpful and nearby to chat and answer any queries we had but also allowed us the privacy to enjoy our holiday. The children didnt want to leave today..
Walking distance to the beach and near a supermarket for supplies. Just outside of the bussle of the main town.
We have already decided to return next year. N/a

- Kelly (10/5): This has got to be one of the nicest places I’ve stayed in at Skegness, it was so clean and nicely furnished, out in the - How clean and cozy it was. Nothing. Was literally nothing wrong at all
- Leah (3/5): Cheap place to stay with your pets but don’t bring your kids :( - The price was very good for our large family and the set up was great for us but the state of place was a great disappointment. The neighbors were kind but we had no idea there would be so many people living so close around the property. This should have been mentioned as it is not very private at all. I was grateful the owner allowed me to have a package delivered and got one of the neighbors to bring it to us. During our stay the children living next door accidentally sprayed my mother-in-law with water from behind a fence. Their mother brought them to our door later to apologize and gave us a bottle of wine. That was kind but the situation really shouldn’t have happened. For the price and the set up for our family to spend time together, we were grateful but I can’t say it was a comfy place to stay ;) Upon arrival we were met with very strong smells and incredibly dirty carpets with yellow bits smeared in. I immediately wrote the owner but didn’t hear anything back until the next day when he came by and took one of the carpets and said he would be back to clean the rest. He never came back :( the carpets were so very gross and the whole place would have felt so much better with clean carpets, fresh paint and some small repairs. Our oven also didn’t work so we had to use the oven in the other cottage. Lucky for us we could do that or we couldn’t cook our tea :( I am sorry to leave a bad review but if you are going to charge people you must keep the place up to standard. It’s a lovely set up that needs to care and attention. The owner was slow in replying to messages so phoning was the better option. We had so many flies in the place too as the only way to ventilate was opening the front doors.
- Guest (10/5): Great place to stay with family - Staff very polite. Property very tidy and clean. Anything needed was already in property.
- Leigh (8/5): Keeping these a secret! - Lovely little cottages, much bigger than we anticipated, and extremely comfortable.
Although just off a busy road very quiet, beautiful views out the back, and ideal location for getting around anywhere.
The owners have obviously tried to cover all needs and we felt help was available should we request it.
Really loved our stay and wished it could have been longer 😊 Seriously only a couple of small things.
I know how difficult it is to keep on top of cobwebs living in the countryside, and the minute your back is turned they're there again.
Perhaps a little nest of tables (for those with mobility issues) for the seating area, and a couple more lamps?
One thing which i think would be a huge benefit to us old dodderers , would it be possible to have a couple of grab rails in the bathroom please? Stepping in and out of the bath is a bit scary when yet again 🙄 you have mobility issues.
- Young (10/5): Absolutely beautiful place, spotless idyllic. Had a fab time thanks again to hosts.👍 -
- Mohammed (10/5): Lovely place will rebook next year - Lovely location, all the facilities were there, and the local cleaning lady was excellent, very friendly and helpful Only one problem for some reason there was a lot of fllys there, apparently it only happened this year, and only on the last day the shower stopped working but we were leaving that morning
- Vicky (10/5): Kids loved our holiday home hosts were friendly - Comfy & spacious sink got blocked we reported and was fixed straight away. Didn't encounter anything we didn't like although would have been nice to have a garden at the rear. The views were stunning
- Klimenko (10/5): Exceptional - All was perfect happy with quite and clean area.
- John (6/5): Mixed, location is good but other areas need improvement - Really useful location to Skegness and fantasy island Having to share parking with owners / owners family in front of the property.
Very basic cooking equipment
Shower leaves a lot to be desired no pressure
- Joanne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Williamson (10/5): Exceptional -
- Roxxayne (9/5): Lovely - Location, space Shower wasn’t working correctly, struggled to shower comfortably
- Tracy (10/5): Suited our needs, would return - Location was great for us, about a 20 minute into the town Mattress was a bit hard. But comfortable enough for a few days away
- Hayley (8/5): Good value for money - The cottage was lovely & spacious
Provided everything you needed
It was very quiet & ample parking space
Plenty of room for families Getting bit
Tv services need updating, terrible signal
Nothing else we didn’t like
- Melanie (8/5): Will definitely stay again - Location excellent. Love the family room and the fact that there was plenty of sofas for us all to relax comfortably.
Enjoyed sitting outside ground floor bedroom and star gaze as no light pollution .
Loved that the bedroom downstairs had patio doors. Gravel outside ground floor bedroom. Would be nice to deck or put slabs down, even artificial grass would be improvement and quite cheap. Polite suggestion - could do with microwavable jug or bowl. Used cereal dish and it was dangerously hot
- Debam90 (8/5): Nice but not perfect - Lovely and spacious little cottage, perfect for myself, my sister and my toddler.
My toddler and I had the upstairs bedroom which had a toilet in and my sister had her own room downstairs with the main bathroom next door, the bedroom backed onto a little space outside.
Very quiet despite being in between 2 other cottages which are pet friendly but if you're a non smoker, they can smoke outside their property so keeping a door open (as there's only a bathroom window and upstairs window) was not an option.
Only a 3 min drive from the sea front and town and a half hour walk. A little run down in the bedroom upstairs, I've stayed in home away from homes before and been given at least extra toilet roll, perhaps have things like oil, salt etc in cupboards but nothing like this here. There are plates pots and pans and cups obviously and towels.
Half hour walk away from the sea front and town which is both negative and positive for the simple fact it's in a part where there are no lights when walking back at night.
Oh and I found sweets from previous holiday makers when moving the side drawer and lots of fur in carpets still so not perfectly clean.
- Faye (8/5): Very good - Lovely location and welcomed our dogs so we could all holiday together. Lots of space, parking and wifi
- Gemma (10/5): This is a lovely holiday cottage we enjoyed our stay and can't wait to come again. - We loved how at home we felt, wifi is a massive bonus as the children dont like to be without their Internet. This cottage is so cosy and we can't wait to stay again. The location is fantastic being so close to the centre, We appreciated a washing machine. Very tidy we enjoyed staying here very much. There's nothing we didn't like.
- Taundry (9/5): The owners of the property was fantastic. We had an issue at the start of our stay and they came over promptly to show u - Location was ideal, close to the main part of skeggy. Loved the fact we was aloud to bring our 3 small dogs. The water facilities was confusing in the fact the cold taps was hot and vice versa. And the shower could do with a upgrade
- Emma-louise (9/5): Quiet, homely and clean - Lovely quiet cottage. Pet friendly. Nice welcome from Pat. Clean and comfortable. Beautiful view of the fields from the back window. Only one thing I could say is the bathroom door stuck my daughter got stuck a few times but we got the hang of it.
- Liza (8/5): Very nice. Would visit again - Location was great, a short 5 min drive to centre, felt secure. Quiet location, with nothing in the area.
- Christine (3/5): Poor - Comfy recling sofa Bath dirty and seal needs redone, as does the seal in the kitchen. Air fryer not cleaned, toaster didn't work, loose socket in double bedroom., toilet seat didn't fit properly and lid kept falling down. Smoke slarm in hall didn't have a battery. Could do with giving the whole place a good clean and paint.
- Obrien (7/5): Good - I loved the downstairs bedroom the doors open and you can watch the sun set. I enjoyed having and upstairs and downstairs toilet. In addition being isolated whilst only having to walk 20 minutes to the skegness. No windows or air conditioning poor shower pressure loads of bugs in down stairs toilet. Not alot of cooking utensils small TV freezer would sometimes defrost on its own or over freeze its self
- Reaver (7/5): Good -
- Sherrie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Elaine (9/5): Weekend break to skegness - Location was great, enough out of town to be quiet and peaceful but near enough to walk 20 mins in to the centre. Lovely property, clean and tidy with everything you need, even a washing machine ! Staff we saw were lovely, friendly and very helpful...would definitely stay here again Nothing we didnt like... if I had to be picky the shower could do with being a bit more powerful but that's all
- Kestutis (10/5): Exceptional -
- Muddiman (10/5): Very good stay. Only 20-30min walk from beach and a lot of facilities provided for you - A lot of room and a lot of facilities provided,
Nice view from the back door of the fields (facing sunset),
Get a lot for your money, N/A
- Tammie (8/5): Very good -
- Geoff (8/5): Very good -
- Olivia (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely place to stay, clean, friendly owners and only a few minutes drive to the centre of everything. will definitely be returning!
- Diptee (7/5): Excellent location and comfy stay with kids. - Excellent location. Hair and dust everywhere, a better vaccum inside the property was needed.
- Rachel (8/5): Great stay, enjoyed and would return. Would be lovely for families or couples. - The cottage is comfortable, practical and has lovely views to the back.
The location was quiet which is great but wished it was closer to the main parts of the town. The kids loved that we had Internet. Overall, great. No windows in the cottage downstairs. Because we have a dog, we couldn't open the patio doors as it is not fenced off and could go to the mail road so at times, it was boiling. No window to the main bedroom either and wouldn't dare leave open the patio doors during the night.
- Matt (10/5): Exceptional - Spotless on arrival. Beds were comfy, everything you need for a week away stay. Can't fault the place at all.
- Tracy (7/5): Great Value, great location. - Location was great, modern and comfortable. The bugs.
- Marshall (8/5): Lovely little holiday cottage - Lovely little cottage, around a 25 minute walk to the beach front
Clean and tidy with most of what you need available Lack of windows made it really warm on a night, especially upstairs, has a skylight but didn't open very far
- Kirsty (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lindsay (10/5): Exceptional -
- Wayne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jody (9/5): Superb -
- Tracy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Charlie (9/5): Superb - • the facilities offered e.g 4 bed 2 double 2 single 2 bathrooms
• there was a fridge, washer, hoover etc everything needed for cooking and cleaning
•the area and surrounding were peaceful and quiet
• staff were quick to help when we had a problem. Nothing everything offered was to mine and my partners liking.
- Nik (10/5): Nice relaxing stay - Spacious, short distance from town Nothing wrong at all
- Landon (10/5): comftable, greate location, grate Wifi, Grate stay - amazing conjoined living room and kitchen area. comfortable reclining sofas, amazing Wifi, perfect beds that fit even the people over 6 foot in my group. there was noting at all to complain about with this property.
- Jay (8/5): Very good -
- Forbes (10/5): Exceptional - The place was immaculate the, beds were incredibly comfortable it felt like sleeping on a cloud, the keys were there when we arrived which was very handy as we didn't get there til 7pm. A very peaceful area surrounded by fields and cows which the children loved, they also played with the children in neighbouring cottages (one either side). Lots already in the cottages, ie condiments, washing up liquid which was very useful. Perfect distance from the beach and other amenities about 20 minutes with children and a 10 min walk alone.
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Donna (9/5): Lovely little getaway x - The cottage was very spacious, we took our 13yr old daughter & two dogs and had a brilliant time. The location was fantastic! X The only thing I could complain a tiny bit about really was the bed but I'm 5 almost 6 months pregnant & I'm spoilt because I have a beast of bed at home. So was probably just me! X
- Daniel (8/5): Good location. - Great location. Very practical. Uncomfortable beds/mattress. Very poor TV signal. Cottage could do with modern modest upgrade as looking tired.
- Anonymous (10/5): Skegness 2022 - Location was 15 mins walk from main town. The cottage felt homely and worked well having two for our big group. The staff were great arranging keys for cottages concerning our late book in and made sure we had complimentary tea and milk on arrival which was very much appreciated after a long drive. Struggled with TV reception. Not disable friendly esp bathroom and top bedrooms don't have a door so noise carried upstairs from TV or talking which disturbed upstairs guests.
- Jplak (6/5): Nice place shame about the cleaning. - Nice size for the 6 of us. Peacefull location 5 minutes drive from Skegness centre. Owners very helpfull. We needed the double bed changed for 2 singles which they did for us, which meant they had to move the ones from another cottage next door and bring them upstairs and the double down. Plenty of parking. Ok price. Double downstairs bed mattress really hard, it was like laying on a brick , but upstairs beds were lovely and comfy.Light shades covered in dust. Cooker hood covered in grease. Cooker tray and shelves covered in grease. Downstairs bath and sink taps filthy, looks like they hav'nt been properly cleaned for a long time. Shower head hose really filthy not been cleaned for a long time. Shower was useless anyway. Some grout was black. Front of washing machine floor was filthy. Coffee table and dinner table dirty. Coasters and place mats dirty.
The place is a bit run down (which i dont really mind as weve been through covid so money must be tight). A lick of paint and a new shower and carpet would be all its needed plus a comfy double mattress. But cleaning is definatly an issue which is a shame really as its a nice place and i would have booked again if it had been properly cleaned. If these things are addressed then it would be a good place to stay.
- Robert (6/5): Pleasant - Beds could be more comfortable, WiFi was OK, but the TV terrible. A few cobwebs and spiders in the living room, a bit overpriced for what we got.
- Daniel (8/5): Very good - Very roomy, very comfortable. Nice quiet location. The condition of the bathroom. Clean enough, however, it's in serious need of deep clean to remove all the black from around the top of the bath.
- Nicols (2/5): Very poor -
- Sibi (6/5): Pleasant -
- Kirsty (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chez (8/5): Lovely holiday - Having a full cottage was mega. Kids loved it. Staff were always there if needed and very freindly Carpets could be cleaned.would probably take a whole day to clean them with a decent vax. Bed mattress downstairs need binning it's had some millege.
- Denise (7/5): Comfortable and friendly environment, parking facilities are excellent - The location wasn't too much of an issue, Morrisons just down the road. A more pleasant area to sit outside, possibly some pot plants.
- Anonymous (8/5): Home from home! - The location was perfect. Walking distance to the town centre but far enough away to be isolated. Very peaceful and I will certainly stay again.
It was a spacious cottage that sleeps up to 6 people will all working amenities. Clean bedding and towels was provided also. Nothing to dislike. It was spot on value.
- Matt (8/5): Very good -
- Sandra (8/5): Family Getaway - The location was central to easily access the seafront and other attractions.
Local amenities such as supermarkets and petrol stations close by.
Parking right outside the cottage which makes loading and unloading the car easy Downstairs double bed mattress is rather firm and doesnt lend itself to a decent night's sleep.
Bathroom toilet also needs to be secured to the wall to prevent someone falling off mid process.
A couple of finishing touches to the bathroom would really add the last little bit to make it the best it could be.
