• Koks (8/5): Schoon en netjes huisje - Het is een netjes schoon huisje op een rustige locatie. Andrey en zijn vader zijn heel aardig en behulpzaam. Enkele restaurants en de supermarkt op loopafstand. Om naar Santa Elena te gaan heb je de auto nodig.

• Sergio (7/5): - Son varias cabinas que tienen los propietarios al lado de su casa, están limpias y son cómodas en general. Para una o dos noches te puede servir. El desayuno está bien, correcto. Son cabinas pequeñas, nosotros tuvimos suerte y no hacía mucho calor, solo hay un ventilador pequeño.
• Tanel (6/5): - The price–quality ratio did not really match what we experienced at other places during our two-week trip. The accommodation was clean, but overall it felt quite cheap and outdated. This was also the only place on our trip where we had to pay in cash. A very uncomfortable situation happened with the payment, as the owner calculated the exchange rate into colones incorrectly, significantly in their own favor. At first, we were unsure ourselves because the currency was unfamiliar, but later the owner admitted it was indeed their mistake. It was also stressful that we had to arrive at a specific time. When traveling around Costa Rica and going on nature trips, you can never be sure how long the roads will take, so this added unnecessary pressure, especially since the owner actually lived next door. The extra bed for our teenager was a sofa bed that, when opened, turned out to be just a mattress on the floor. A towel and pillow had also been forgotten. The owner brought them later, but the “pillow” was actually a hard sofa cushion placed inside a pillowcase.

• Robin (7/5): Schöne, einfache Unterkunft am Rande von Monteverde. - Es ist eine schöne, kleine Unterkunft mit einem gemütlichen Garten. Sie hat fast alles, was man für einen Aufenthalt benötigt. Eine Klimaanlage wäre gerade an den warmen Tagen wünschenswert. Wer nachts Ruhe braucht kann hier Probleme bekommen, da das Blechdach der Unterkunft wirklich extrem laut ist. Auch mit einem festen Schlaf wacht man oft auf und hat Schwierigkeiten wieder einzuschlafen. Ansonsten hervorragend und die nette, hilfsbereite Familie ist uns besonders positiv aufgefallen.

• Annemarie (9/5): - Die Kommunikation hat per WhatsApp gut funktioniert. Die Zeit an dem wir frühstücken wollten konnten wir selbst wählen und wurde uns dan pünktlich auf unsere Terrasse gebracht. Es gab sogar ein Schälchen Obst dazu. Am Abend.war es sehr. stürmisch, trotzdem kam der Vermietr zu un und unseren Nachbarn, um uns ein Faultier im Baum zu zeigen, dass ziemlich durchgeschüttelt wurde aber trotzdem seelenruhig weiter sich die Blätter von den Zweigen holte. Zum Schluss zeigte er uns noch den Kot des Faultiers an einem anderen Baum seines Gartens. Am nächsten Morgen konnten wir das Faultier an einem anderen Baum sehen aber dieses Mal war es nur als Knäuel zu sehen, es ruhte sich wohl von der stürmischen Nacht aus. Wir waren im St. Elena NP, der uns sehr gut gefallen hatte.

• Goran (9/5): - The hosts are very friendly and accommodating. The location is very good, close to a gas station and a shop. The accommodation was functionally very well equipped. It is great that the parking lot is inside the fence in front of the accommodation. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare a meal. The garden is very beautiful and clean. In the morning, many different birds come to the garden, and there was a sloth on the tree behind the house, so the wildlife experience can start right at the accommodation.

El lugar estaba muy limpio. - Las almohadas, no son de buena calidad. - La hora de check out, es a las 11am, sería ideal que por lo menos sea a las 12m. - Como no son un hotel, después del check out no pudimos dejar el equipaje a resguardo mientras hacíamos la excursión.

• Benjamin (10/5): Perfekte.Unterkunft mit sehr freundlichen Gastgebern und Wohllfühj Garantie. - Wir wurden sehr freundlich und herzlich empfangen, der Kontakt war unkompliziert und es hat alles prima geklappt. Frühstück durften wir eigene Wünsche äußern, es wurde uns an die Wohnung gebracht und auch wieder abgeholt. Die Wohnung hat eine gehobene Ausstattung und ist sehr sauber. Der Garten war ein Garten der Ruhe. Der fein angelegt und gepflegt. Das Grundstück ist eingefriedet sodass ungebetene Gäste nicht drauf können. Wir haben uns sehr gut und sicher aufgehoben gefühlt . • Carlotta (9/5): Ottimo - Andrey e suo padre sono gentilissimi, host meravigliosi. Il giardino è curatissimo e la colazione preparata da loro era ottima. Ci ha dato moltissimi consigli sui tour migliori da fare a Monteverde. La casa era un po’ fredda e non c’era nulla per riscaldarla. A Monteverde le temperature sono abbastanza basse.

Está muy bien equipado, tiene cafetera, cocina si quieres cocinar, microondas, platos, etc (no usamos nada de esto, pero me encanta que haya estado la opción). Está muy cercano a supermercado y una gasolinera al frente. La verdad, me gustó bastante. Los tours comienzan muuuuuy temprano en Costa Rica (tipo 7 am) porque amanece muy temprano. Tal vez sería buena la opción de un horario más temprano de desayuno también.

• Mark (10/5): Clean and secure property with welcoming hosts! - We loved our 3-night stay at Magic Mountain! The hosts were warm and helpful, the property was spotless and secure, and the setting was beautiful. No A/C, but the cool evening temps made it unnecessary. Excellent breakfasts, accurate photos (though even better in person), and a great location—less than 5 mins to town with a restaurant and supermarket nearby. Highly recommend! N/A
• Jay (4/5): Disappointed! - Rating is way off, smells of a scam! I blindly booked it based on the rating and it did not meet my expectations. The place is super basic. Access to the site is a rough road, worse is you can't drag luggage to the room due to the gravel path. The place has no AC, just a fan that is too far away from the bed. No exhaust fan in the bathroom. Hot water is barely warm. Breakfast is as basic as it gets. Andre acts polite but ends up dropping tons of instructions. Not flexible with check in and check out. Lastly, he accepts only cash!

Walking distance from center and supermarket 40 m away ( and also a hamurger shop, but I dislike hamburgers :-) Please note need to pay cash in usd on arrival. This is a B&B next to owners' house. Too much light around at night. Noisy motorbikes in the distance but probably quieter than most other places in minteverde. Pls note. The check in is 2 pm. Not before nor after. But can get flexible by calling.

Close to all the mature Attractions. - We could reach the owner Andre quickly by what's app. The appartment was near multiple attractions/nature. The father of Andre brought breakfast to our appartment, he was really friendly. It's for all of Costa Rica. Everything is expensive. If you want to enter a National Parc or got tickets for a Zippline, even the food in the Supermarket is double the price (compared to the Netherlands).

Property quite new and clean, a large bed and plenty of room. The host was very welcoming and brought us breakfast which we had on the patio each morning There was a lack of hanging rails for damp/wet clothes. We got quite cold in the evening, the lovely marble floor didn’t help. The bed was very hard

We enjoyed the stay at Monteverde Magic Mountain while exploring Monteverde and the ziplines nearby. Good parking facilities at own property. Because it’s an attached house, you can hear the neighbours, depending on who’re staying next to you.

• Stephen (8/5): Very nice accommodation - Monteverde Magic Mountain turns out to be just two adjacent, single storey apartments situated in a pleasant garden behind iron gates. There is plenty of room to park. and the apartments are clearly well looked after The rooms are large and well equipped and there is a patio outside with table and chairs. Each room had a TV which provided the best selection of streaming services we encountered on our trip. It is conveniently located to get to most of the local attractions, although it is a couple of kilometers outside the town, making it not a great choice if you haven't got a car. The town has a number of good value restaurants once you get there. It felt a little bit 'rules driven' with quite a lot of information about what you can and cannot do. Although we knew this to be the case in advance and so had prepared for it, it was still inconvenient to have to go to the bank and get out cash, as they don't take card. They don't do breakfast (although there is an option for you to order something from them which is then delivered to your room). Although no meals are available, there are cooking facilities, although we didn't feel these would have been adequate for making dinner.

Andrey creates a wonderful, clean, comfortable - The nicely decorated accommodation looked newly renovated with everything we needed, enclosed with a lovely peaceful garden behind a large security gate. The bed was a little firm but still comfortable. There was about 10 minutes of a loud banging noise near the kitchen window at around 5:45 am each morning, but we woke up early for our tours anyway so it didn’t bother us.
• Robert (10/5): Immaculate units with a very friendly host and a great price. - Everything about the property was immaculate. The gardens were beautiful. The furniture was very comfortable with a firmer mattress. It was very apparent that the property owners cared about the quality of their guests’ experience. I would definitely stay here again. There is nothing that I didn’t like about the property; however there were a couple small things that I did not expect to encounter. The hot water faucets in the kitchenette and bathroom sink did not have a water supply, but, in the shower, the hot water faucet did supply warm water I also could find not a heating or cooling system in the property. I suspect these items are not essential due to the limited temperature variation throughout the day or the seasons in Monteverde.
• Ymohamed (10/5): Great place and location - This is a new accommodation and it's 5mins drive to the center. The room was spacious and clean. The host was there to receive us and maintained good communication until we got there. He also recommended a nice spot to watch the sunset, and we had an amazing view. Good value for the money. Nothing.

Fortunately, we made an absolutely right decision to reserve two nights with Magic Mountain. Following Andrey’s detailed instructions, we could enjoy beautiful views and the best adventures in Monte Verde. That’s a magic in Magic Mountain! Also, the beautiful garden and cozy room are impressive! Highly recommend!
